The Stamp Act Essay
The Stamp Act
The passing of the Stamp Act by Parliament in 1765 caused a rush of angry protests by the
colonists in British America that perhaps aroused and unified Americans as no previous political
event ever had. It levied a tax on legal documents, almanacs, newspapers, and nearly every other
form of paper used in the colonies. Adding to this hardship was the need for the tax to be paid in
British sterling, not in colonial paper money. Although this duty had been in effect in England for
over half a century and was already in effect in several colonies in the 1750?s, it called into
question the authority of Parliament over the overseas colonies that had no representation therein.
When the news of the passage of this ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Lastly, That it is the indispensable duty of these colonies, to the best of sovereigns, to the mother
country, and to themselves, to endeavour by a loyal and dutiful address to his Majesty, and humble
applications to both Houses of Parliament, to procure the repeal of the Act for granting and
applying certain stamp duties, of all clauses of any other Acts of Parliament, whereby the
jurisdiction of the Admiralty is extended as aforesaid, and of the other late Acts for the restriction
of American Commerce.
Simply by suggesting that Parliament had overstepped its implied boundaries, the colonists were
considered to be boldly defiant. The Resolutions were sent to the king and Parliament, where they
were met as warmly as the Stamp Act itself was in the colonies.
Many Englishmen held their own opinions of these, including Soame Jenyns, a member of
Parliament from 1741 1780. Jenyns wrote a pamphlet entitled The Objections to the Taxation of our
American Colonies by the Legislature of Great Britain, briefly consider?d. The excerpt in the text
argues for Parliament?s right to tax the colonies and discusses briefly the theory of virtual
representation. He begins by censuring those questioning the jurisdiction of Parliament:
The right of the Legislature of Great Britain to impose taxes on her American Colonies, and the

Ganoderma Research Paper
Macrophages:
Ganoderma derived polysaccharides have been shown to increase the peritoneal macrophage
phagocytosis in vitro and in vivo [50, 51]. Apart from the activated macrophages, IL 1ОІ, IL 6 and
TNF О± production have also been found to be up regulated. Effects of polysaccharides on
intracellular calcium have further shown that Ganoderma can induce cellular as well as
extracellular release or influx of Ca2+ ions [52].
2. Natural Killer Cells:
Natural Killer (NK) cells are immune cells which are kenned to exhibit cytotoxicity towards
various types of cancer cells during metastasis (spread to other organs) [53, 54]. Natural Killer
(NK) cells cytotoxicity has been found to be enhanced by G. lucidum towards a variety of tumors

The triterpenoids in Ganoderma possess 5О± reductase inhibitory potential which further have been
kenned to inhibit the conversion of testosterone into dihydro testosterone (DHT) [60].
6. TLR4:
Toll Like Receptor 4 is a receptor present on many immune cells that can mediate the immune
response. Ganoderma derived polysaccharides and proteoglycans are appeared to be act as a
ligand and activator of TLR4 receptors [61]. Activation of TLR4 has further been found to be
associated with the activation of macrophages and their downstream molecules (Nitric Oxide, TNF

Examples Of Groupthink Decision Making
Groupthink decisions making is made by a group of people who spend time together to engage in
a team task backstage to discuss issues. During the collective decision making, members of the
group conclude with poor and unusual results. The outcome of the decision may fail for the fact
that members of the group ignore crucial issues such as ethical or moral. When the group has two
people with strong personality, the two will compete and disagree because they both have similar
qualities. It affects can their thought and actions when making a decision. For example, they can
sabotage the policymaking when giving their views and ideas, proving whose better. Another way
to sabotage is when different political opponents tussle during decision making because they
disagree on political reasons that could create conflict. Furthermore, those who are unwilling to
give their opinion end up without a say affecting the outcome of the decision when it failed.
According to Dominic Parker of the Lehigh University in his report. Dominic stated that members
who are not willing to publicly present their concerns about collective issues are most likely to

Support Childrens and Young Peoples Health and Safety
Unit D6011696: Support Children and Young People s Health and Safety. . Learning Outcome 1:
Understand how to plan and provide environments and services that support children and young
people s health and safety. 1.1 In order to ensure a safe and healthy environment and services for
children/young people there are some factors which need to be taken into account. These include
any equipment which they will be in contact with, such as electrical equipment, anything which
may pose a fire risk, any damaged furniture or fixtures which they may come into contact with. If
there are any cables or anything they may trip over as well as any spillages or anything they may
slip on and fall. All if these issues need to be taken into account... Show more content on

Any area which will have children/young people playing in should be assessed before any child
/young person goes into the area to make sure there is nothing harmful for example any broken
equipment. Any issues which are found which may be a risk to health and safety need to be
logged and discussed with other members or staff so that everyone is aware of any risks.
Having a set guideline of what happens if equipment is broken or damaged, is a good idea so
that staff know how to manage the situation and eliminate any future risk. 2.2 In dealing with an
accident or hazard for example if a child was to trip and fall in the playground, there are set
instructions to follow to ensure the incident is dealt with appropriately. This would involve
taking the child to a registered first aider within the building to allow the child to receive
treatment on any injury they may have received. An accident for needs to be filled out so that
the accident has been recorded, this then needs to be logged and reported to a senior member or
staff. As well as this the incident will need to be reported to and explain to the parents. An extra
measure would be to carry out an assessment of the playground to make sure there are no hazards
which may have caused the accident such as stones or glass for a child to trip over or no broken
equipment or uneven surfaces which may cause futures problems. 2.3 When undertaking a health

An Analysis Of Brando s Life
Growing up as a child Brando s life was built upon lies and stories. He was told by his mother
that he was Native American, and his father was an American Indian political activist and his
mother was pure Indian as well. None of this were true and it took him some time to realize that.
The real truth was Brando was a Mexican American and his father abandoned him and his
mother at a young age. Growing up Brando had to face many challenges such his family and the
place he grew up. Young Brando had new fathers almost every three years, which was very hard
for him. Every time he tries so hard to love one they would always break his heart. He even
mentions it in the book my biological father Candido Ulloa, was replaced by a chain of
boyfriends and five fathers one new dad about every three years (Skyhorse 1). One time his
mother told him that they were going to go on a trip to see his father who s is in jail but later he
found out that was a lie too. Brando and his mother were really close at one point in their life, as
they would travel together and do many other things. He always thought of his mother as a role
model. There was a point in his life when he was 10 years old he started working with his mom

Good Teachers In America
In America there are many good teachers. I believe that a good teacher needs to be funny, caring,
nice, relatable, and relaxed. A good teacher needs to be funny so that they can make boring
moments in class fun and not near as boring. Also, a teacher needs to be caring and really care
about her students. The teacher needs to be caring so that the students in the class feel important
and wanted. Another characteristic a good teacher has is being nice, the teacher also needs to be
nice so that if a studentis having a bad day that they will be able to cheer the student up. The
teacher also needs to be relatable so that the students can feel a connection to the teacher. Lastly, a
teacher needs to be relaxed so that the students will be allowed

Essay On International Market Segmentation
Mission of an international researcher is sorely wide and it is important to determine the most
productive and influential tasks. Marketing research exercise involves systematic enquiry. Thus, it
requires a careful planning of the orderly investigation process. Global market segmentation is the
process of identifying specific segments, whether they be country groups or individual customer
groups, of potential customers with homogeneous attributes who are likely to exhibit similar
behaviour (Hassan Katsanis, 1991).
In case of international marketing DODCAR is one of the main frameworks that is utilized for
evaluating suitability of the market segmentation. International market researcher needs to consider

In terms of opportunities in China, it has the world s 2nd largest economy. The population of
Shanghai 23000 million people, which makes a market segmentation widen. Moreover, consumer
buying behavior in choosing products are highly influenced by western cultural perception. China s
top economic policymakers set domestic consumption as a main driver for the country s economic
growth. Business threat is cultural barrier, as Chinese people are used to drink tea, rather than coffee.
2.2 Objectives of research
After defining and identifying the issue, the researcher must take a formal statement of research
objectives. Such objectives may be stated in qualitative or quantitative terms and expressed as
research questions, statement or hypothesis.
Market segmentation pertains to the division of a set of consumers into persons with similar
needs and wants. Market segmentation allows for a better allocation of a Starbucks finite
resources. With growing diversity in the tastes of modern consumers, Starbucks is taking note of
the benefit of servicing a multiplicity of new markets. It is necessary to create SMART objectives
while segmenting Starbucks in international markets. The important objective of segmenting
Starbucks in China is to increase sales for 30% in 2 years. The target city is Shanghai as the

Post-Operative Management Of Surgical Procedure
3.Have there been any recent advances in the post operative management of the selected procedure?
Why? Recent rehabilitation guidelines now have a more scientific rationale and basis. The PT
should keep abreast of current advances in surgical procedures, clinical evaluation and treatment
techniques to ensure that contemporary interventions are being provided to produce an optimal
outcome. The post operative management of a meniscal repair takes on a more conservative
approach as compared to partial meniscectomy to allow for successful healing of the repair.
Rehabilitation guidelines differ among surgeons and remain controversial. Programs should be
individualized to the type of surgical procedure performed, the type of meniscal tear repaired

Jennifer Grotz s Medium
In the poem Medium, Jennifer Grotz utilizes various examples of selective memory, phallic
symbols, and yonic symbols to demonstrate a man raping a girl and ultimately leading to the
realization of his mistake and evidently his suicide. She describes the situation in which she is
being contacted by the man who raped her, and uses hidden language to compare her unwilling
experience with him and his attempt at suicide. It is obvious that Grotz belittles the intruder s
suicide by speaking in an ironic, nonchalant tone due to the fact that she does not care if he dies
because of what he did to her. The word medium has multiple definitions including a clairvoyant
and the plural of media. The significance of the word clairvoyant, someone who speaks... Show

She tells the story in a nonchalant type of manner which is very ironic because it is often a
serious and saddening topic to discuss. Due to the fact that Grotz is speaking in a casual manner,
it can be interpreted that she does not care that much about his loss. The only way she knows
about his first attempt at suicide because she found it written in his journal (21). This can really
mean he actually had a journal and she read it but pertaining to the subject of medium , the plural
of media, it can also be a symbol for the newspaper. The reason he might have thrown himself off a

Essay on Atomic Structure, Moles and Periodicity
Atomic structure, Moles and Periodicity
The Periodic Table is guidance or map to access different elements specific information, such as:
atomic mass, isotopic richness, nuclear spins, electronic configuration and the position of elements
belong to which group and period in table. Over the past decades there were many Scientifics
which help to improvement of Periodic table but few of them made the most influence and
contribution on Periodic table such as : Johann Dobereiner ,John Newlands , Dmitri Mendeleev and
Henry Moseley.
Law of Triads
The development of Periodic table begins with the German chemist Johann Dobreeiner. He
collected similar elements together. His triads were groups of three similar elements for example:

He continued his way and put forward the elements in order of increasing atomic mass and
wherever he found a interval, simply assumed that this elements had not discovered yet. His way
helped him to work out the atomic mass of undiscovered elements and predict their properties
which the later on the new elements discovered it could go to the right place in his table. He put
the elements in order of relative atomic mass and this gave a problem. For example: Iodine with
lower atomic mass was after Tellurium in table and that breaking his rules.
Modern Periodic table
Henry Moseley came and put the elements in order of increasing atomic number. Actually
Mendeelv was right to put Iodine after Tellurium but he did not know why is like this, but in Henry
Moseley way iodine has higher atomic number than tellurium so iodine must be after tellurium in
table.
In the modern periodic table vertical column called Group. There are 8 groups in periodic table
which some of groups have names as well for example group seven named as Halogens or group
eight (0) named as Noble gases. Groups often show an increase or decrease in similar properties.
Elements in each group contain of same electron configuration in the outermost shell. A horizontal
row called period, and they numbered from top to downwards 1 7. The periods consist of elements

William Chaucer s Chretien De Troyes
When asked to envision medieval courts, often images from Game of Thrones or The Tudors come
to mind maybe even Sir Lancelot and jousting. Yet, these television shows and stories derive their
inspiration from a genuine historical context so fascinating and pervasive that nearly 1,000 years
later Western culture is still transfixed. French author ChrГ©tien de Troyes, who ironically penned
the first romantic depiction of Sir Lancelot, wrote many of the tales that inspire modern pop culture.
His stories, particularly that of CligГ©s written in 1176 AD, though filled with sometimes
supernatural, amorous, and scintillating drama, can reveal the political and social undercurrent of
the Middle Ages. Ultimately, the passionate characters and events presented in ChrГ©tien de
Troyes CligГ©s transcend the romantic realm, manifesting as representations of medieval court
and the rapidly evolving concepts of magic and science in the twelfth century. By dissecting Troyes
characters, specifically Thessala, John, and the Salernitan doctors, one can identify the movements
they symbolize. Additionally, understanding ChrГ©tien de Troyes position in society and purpose
for writing furthers reveals nuances in the plot indicative of the medieval social climate.
Essentially, ChrГ©tien de Troyes CligГ©s is reflective of the struggle between new and old ways
of interpreting science, medicine, and magical practices as well as the ever shifting social standing
of court life.

It is hard for any artist of any kind to keep everyone amazed by their work, especially in a time
when their work would not be credited as much as it should. When Moby Dick was released
Marx had suffered financial trouble and no exceptional critique for his work. I agree with Marx
on the concept that Melville s wrote this book on the social standards for workers in the late
1800 s, and the alienation they face. Melville refused to write books that the public desired or
what the standards of writing topics should be in that day of age. According to Marx alienation
means, the process whereby the worker is made to feel foreign to the products of his/her own labor.
That s how Melville must have felt, alienated by the people around him. Melville worked hard to
write his books, and wanted the praise for his work .However the people of Melville s time wasn t
ready for his work, and they isolated the genius behind his work. Melville is like Bartleby, which
was fascinated by the narrator at first because he said, I would prefer not to. When he is asked to
do something. This is like Melville because his work was fascinated at first by many, and then it
later was not. Bartleby was an allegory for Melville but it also foreshadowed Melville s life, the

Role Of Women And Motherhood Through Modern Literature
The Role of Women and Motherhood through Modern Literature
Gertrude Stein s story The Gentle Lena in Three Lives reaffirms the expectations of women set
out by society, yet the main character Lena challenges the role of women in the workforce,
marriage, and motherhood. Lena s gentle, sweet, patient and servant like behavior affirms the way
society saw women. Women had no voice as to what to expect from their lives and for many their
greatest aspiration was to be a mother. Lena s life just like the lives of many other women were
designed and controlled by someone else and thus many women live in a bubble when it came to
the aspects of their lives. In early 20th century society, women were seen and not heard. Their lives
revolved around their father and later on their husbands. A womans main duties included cleaning,
cooking, and taking care of the children. Lena s attitude can be best described as passive and
gentle. Lena is also best described as a dreamer who has lost touched with reality, she was always
sort of dreamy and not there (Stein 146). This passive attitude would inhibit Lena from ever being
truly happy. Lena begins her life as very unimportant she was not an important daughter in the
family her passive aggressive attitude makes her the perfect candidate for her controlling aunt to

Hillary Clinton Trump Persuasive Essay
Americans take their right from the first amendment very seriously; freedom of speech. Politics is
one of the most controversial topics especially in the United States. With the two candidates
running this year Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump it is no surprise it brings up such a dispute. In
2012, almost 130 million Americans casted a vote for the presidential election. With all the
argument between voters and nonvoters, it brings a lot more pressure onto Trump and Clinton to
try to gain supports and make themselves look better than the other. By doing this, they create ads
to reach those they have not yet convinced to be on their team. As we all know, Donald Trumploves
to give people a hard time and bring down whoever is not like him. But Hillary Clinton gave him

Daniel Wilkie Case
The three main directors involved in this case were Daniel Wilkie who was the chief operating
officer, Timothy Mainprize who was the chief financial officer and Stephen Burroughs who was
the company s manager (Lampe, 2005). The three directors were charged with charges of
deceiving auditors and dishonesty. Wilkie was charged with two offences of dishonesty as a
company s officer and misleading an auditor of the company, Mainprize was also charged with
the same three offences and Burroughs was charged with a misleading a company s auditor
offence. The three directors made the auditors and the investors of the company believe that it
was adequately reserved. In other words, they made these auditors and investors believe the
company had attained an $8.6 million profit whereas it had actually incurred a $ 19.1 million
loss. Between 1 March and 6 May in the year 1998, Wilkie and Mainprize, on behalf of the
company, arranged with General Cologne Reinsurance Australia, that they (FAI) would pay a
premium of $67.5 million if they (General Cologne) would give back a reinsurance benefit of
$65 million. Between 23 June and 26 June 1998, the same two executives made another deal with
the same reinsurance company (General Cologne). This time FAI paid a premium of $89.7 million

The First English Dictionary By Samuel Johnson
Lexicography is a historic practice which has existed for centuries. It is the practice and process
of binding an entire lexicon into a single, readable text. This is a formidable task to undertake.
The original definition of lexicon is as follows: A dictionary; a book teaching the signification of
words (Johnson, 233). The public uses dictionaries as guidebooks for meaningful speech and
discourse. Those who task themselves with creating these texts are called lexicographers. The first
English dictionarywas written by Samuel Johnson in 1755. Johnson shared his views of
lexicographers in his preface to A Dictionary of the English Language :
Among these unhappy mortals is the writer of dictionaries; whom mankind have considered, not
as the pupil, but the slave of science, the pioneer of literature, doomed only to remove rubbish and
clear obstructions from the path of Learning and Genius, who press forward to conquest and glory,
without bestowing a smile on the humble drudge that facilitates their progress. Every other authour
may aspire to praise; the lexicographer can only hope to escape reproach, and even this negative
recompense has been yet granted to very few (Johnson, 3).
Johnson s somewhat dismal description of the pains lexicographers must undergo is very telling of
the innate stress and responsibility of dictionary making. They are held accountable for the
definitions and usage rules of an entire language; this is a respectable undertaking. The process of

Napoleon Bonaparte Isolation
The French Revolution brought about a new era in Europe through Enlightenment ideas. The
greatest product of the Revolution was Napoleon Bonaparte. Without the Revolution Napoleon s
genius at military tactics and statesmen charisma would be lost. There is only greatness in people
if given the opportunity to show that greatness. Napoleon s life is not merely one of conquest and
domination, but a series of opportunities gained through the Revolution. Napoleon had great
promise in his youth that would have otherwise been subject to a menial military career. His
journey from birth to Emperor of France dictates more than megalomania; it is a passion to create
an egalitarian Europefree from the rule of Kingdoms. In every station of his life; childhood... Show

There was a discourse around France calling for reform and complaints from all castes of French
society, but none, not even Napoleon, could anticipate the events about to unfold. The storming of
the Bastille in on July 14th, 1789 did not lead Napoleon to cheer for the liberation of France, but
more the liberation of his beloved Corsica. As Napoleon put it, not the least craziness about the
French Revolution is that those who once put us to death as rebels are today our protectors, are
motivated by our sentiments (Englund, 39). The Revolution meant to Napoleon that his dream
of a free Corsican Republic was at last possible. However, with the emigration of the nobility out
of France left few officers to lead the military and kept Napoleon in France for a time. Napoleon
was one of the few that stayed and fought for the Republic. He was sent to Toulon to help repel the
British fleet. The fact that Napoleon was ambitious and assertive does not diminish the fact that he
believed in the values of the Enlightenment. Napoleon fought for the Republic continuously proving
his loyalty to the Republic and the Revolution. Napoleon s victories throughout Italy were to
liberate people from the oppression of foreign rule. This being said it is not a mistake that he did
not have much faith in the ability of common men to maintain said freedom. A look at Bonaparte s
letters indicates that what surprised and

The And The Sacrifice Of Isaac By Peter Paul
A painting is a scene, frozen in time. Artists can bring them to life. Catching the emotions of
whatever is depicted. The bible is full of memorable scenes, with thousands of years of art to
capture the intensity of the stories.
My Journey to The Sacrifice of Isaac by Peter Paul Rubens begin when I saw a painting at the
Nelson Atkins Museum of Art almost six years ago in a grand room, with tens of other paintings
and high, echoing ceilings. I stood in front of a massive, Renaissance era piece. Without looking at
the title or artist s statement, I knew it was of Abraham sacrificing Isaac. It had the iconic look of
one of the most infamous stories from the bible.
And when I remembered that painting, years later, I knew that would be the focus of this paper.
So, with my painting in mind, I went to KSU online Hale Library ARTstor Abraham and Isaac .
But there were too many paintings. And the majority of them looked the same. After clicking
through about a dozen paintings from the Louvre, of Rembrandt and Domenichino and not finding
the specific painting from my memory, I went to the Nelson Atkins website and then cross
referenced with the list ARTstor was offering. The painting was Peter Paul Rubens The Sacrifice
of Isaac and I can say, details get lost in memory.
The painting, for the most part, kept with the scripture. Considering the scripture was bare bones
when it came to description, that wasn t an impossible feat. The binding of Isaac was similar in the

Essay about Leonard Peltier Should be Released from Prison
Leonard Peltier is currently serving time in the Leavenworth federal penitentiary for the shooting
deaths of two Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) agents. According to FBI documents, at
around 11:50 A.M. on June 26th, 1975, agents Jack Color and Ron Williams were supposedly
searching for Jimmy Eagle, a thief wanted for stealing a pair of cowboy boots. The agents
encroached on the Jumping Bull Compound in Oglala, South Dakota of the PineRidge reservation,
in two separate vehicles that no one could recognize (Incident). In this area, there were several
members of the American Indian Movement(AIM). After the intrusion of the agents, someone and it

In fact, the evidence is so inconclusive, contradictory, and vague that reasonable doubt abounds
when one tries to objectively look at the evidence at hand.
The evidence linking Peltier to the shooting of the either of the agents is non existent. First, there
are major problems with linking Peltier to any gun that may have caused a fatal injury. According
to FBI documentation, the FBI found a damaged AR 15 rifle in the burned out car of another AIM
activist, Robert Robideau, who was also at the Jumping Bull Compound on the day of June 26,
1975 (Incident). The FBI later would assert that the gun was Peltier s, and that it was matched to a
shell casing found in the trunk of one the agents cars.
However, according to a documented FBI ballistics test carried out on October 12, 1975, the AR
15 rifle found in Robideau s car didn t match bullet found on the scene; even if it is assumed to be
Peltier s gun, the gun cannot be linked to any bullets found in the crime scene (Incident). The FBI
also did another, less effective form of test on the bullet that showed that the bullet might have come
from the damaged gun. (Incident) However, since the second method of testing was more prone to
fault, error, and interpretation of the agents, it should not be used in light of the first. The best the
FBI could prove from the test was that the bullet came from

The Biology Of Early Life Stages Of Fish Development
Understanding the biology of early life history stages of fish is essential for effective fisheries
management (Mwaluma et al., 2014; Hames Hichford, 2005). For example, knowledge in fish
development such as ontogenetic intervals and embryonic and larval development of fish species is
a prerequisite to set the policies for their conservation and stock enhancement through larviculture
(Rahman et al, 2009; Yanes Roca et al., 2012; Amini et al., 2015; Andrade et al., 2016).
Furthermore, the mechanisms that affect the survival during the early life stages of п¬Ѓsh can
regulate the future year class strength (Mwaluma et al., 2014; Garrido et al., 2009). Consequently,

Larval stages are followed by a transformation stage during which individuals transform to juveniles,
which morphologically resemble adults (Osse et al., 1997). Anatomical, physiological, and
behavioral changes such as dentition, feeding behavior, and swimming capacity allow various
larval stages to attain new capabilities for biological activities, which in turn enable them to utilize
their new environmental conditions (Moteki, 2002, Moteki et al., 2002; Pena and Dumas, 2009).
Identification of eggs and newly hatched larvae have been proven difficult due to having little or
no resemblance to their adult stages, considerable overlap in the time and location of spawning
among multiple fish species, similarity in morphology of eggs among species, small size, and
quick changes in shapes during larval stage (Victor et al., 2009; Ko et al., 2013; Amini et al., 2015).

The generation gap in King Lear by Shakespeare
One of the underlying themes in Shakespeare s play, King Lear is the concept of the generation
gap. This gap is mainly illustrated between the family. The older generation is Lear himself, and the
younger generation consists of his daughters Goneril, Regan and Cordelia. In the second plot of the
play, Gloucester represents the older generation, and his sons, Edmundand Edgar exemplifies the
younger generation. Both younger generations can be divided into two distinct groups. Goneril,
Regan and Edmund are the villains in both the plots and Edgar and Cordelia are the loyal, faithful
children. This little twist adds to the effect of the generation gap in the play. There are many

It is apparent that the younger generation is motivated by greed, power and lust. This potentially
made them more cunning and ruthless in their actions by exploiting the older generation s
vulnerability. Edmund s desire for Edgar s half of the inheritance, shows how benevolent a human
being can be. In Edmund s soliloquy in the beginning of[Act 1 scene 2] he planned to betray both
his father and half brother by forging a letter describing Edgar s intentions on Gloucester s
inheritance. Upon showing this letter to the gullible Gloucester, he ordered to have a contract out
for Edgar s head.
The daughters Goneril and Regan are inspired by their hunger for power and their lust for
Edmund. Once Goneril and Regan received their land, they immediately showed no respect to
Lear, who gave them the land. In [Act 1 scene 4] Goneril instructs her servant Oswald to show
utter disrespect for Lear. Oswald complies and enrages Lear. Soon Lear will find that his two
daughters have no loyalties to him.
As it turns out, there is no loyalties within each other. In [Act 5 scene 3] Goneril has poisoned her
own sister, in hopes of capturing Edmund s love. However, Edgar and Cordelia are exceptions to
this generalization. Their actions are very noble and they show great amounts of integrity. In the
beginning of [Act 4 scene 1] Gloucester has decided to end his own life. Edgar, knowing his father

School Uniforms Should Be Abolished
The wearing of school uniforms is increasingly popular across the nation. It becomes a
controversial argument of communities rejecting these mandated school uniforms in their schools.
However, school uniforms are not a negative thing; in fact, they could be positive in many ways
by eliminating cliques, saving money for parents, and taking away the bullying off students less
fortunate; whereas, school uniforms will also violate students freedom of expression, create a
financial burden on families, and uniforms will not alleviate the problems such as higher academic
rates, attendance, etc. However, with a solution that would benefit both parties, the public school
systems in the Oklahoma City district would benefit greatly if this policy were adopted in all the
schools since the district only has seventy four public schools with uniforms, while seventeen
schools are not. First of all, these school uniforms should be implemented in the rest of these
seventeen schools, because they would diminish economic and social barriers between students.
For instance, people come from different social classes such as Upper, Middle, and Lower class.
Many lower class families often cannot afford to purchase non essential items for their children,
especially for school; many struggle just to purchase the necessity items such as food, housing,
transportation, etc. According to the Oklahoma City Board of Education, if families are not able to

The article from Huffington Post with the heading McDonald s Plans To Switch To Cage Free

brings cage free eggs into concern, but also raises heated discussion about whether hens should
be bred in the cage free system or in the conventional way. In this essay, I will argue that it is a
right choice to switch to the cage free system in terms of the animal welfare. Besides, I will
suggest that the cage free system should be encouraged because eggs laid by hens raised in such
system embraces better nutrition. Encouragement of cage free eggs is a bold move, but it is worth
carrying out. In terms of the animal welfare, the cage free system treats hens in a more humane
manner and ensures them a life with more freedom. An overwhelming majority of hens are
limited in the conventional cages, where they each can share only 67 square inches of the cage
space.2 67 square inches cannot even compare with a piece of letter size paper which takes up
about 93.5 square inches. Such tiny space is not enough for hens to spread their wings, let alone
make nests or perch. The conventional system shows a lack of certain humanity. Unlike the
conventional system, the cage free system provides more spacious room for hens, where they are

Analysis Of Plato s Democratic Government
It is interesting to demonstrate components and elements of Plato s idea of a Democratic
government. Plato s democracy was a governement for the people because all were welcome to
participate, if interested. The government s structure was split into groups including the ekklesia,
boule, etc. Today, I am a part of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars (NSCS), and
organization here at Temple University. NSCS demonstrates some of the components found in
Plato s democratic government. This paper will examine the connection between Plato s Democratic
government and the NSCS and at Temple.

The structure includes and Ekklesia and a boule. The Ekklesia also known as the assembly are
the individuals interested in participating. The boule is the selected group who decides what is
being discussed. In NSCS, the general members would be Plato s Ekklesia and the E board would
be the boule. Because we decide what is discussed in our general body meetings. Every other week,
myself and the E board get together and discuss upcoming events, meetings, and volunteering. At
the actual general body meetings, we discuss the topics we ve selected beforehand and open the

Finally, freedom of speech is an important aspect within the democratic government and in NSCS
it is also important. The democratic government is for the people so it only makes sense that the
people have the freedom to express themselves. According to Plato, Freedom: Surely you d hear
a democratic city say that this is the finest thing it has, so that as a result it is the only city worth

Due to the financial crisis, FW s assets were devalued and were transferred to its parent

Samuel (WFJ s managing director) should be concerned about the restructuring of the group
because it will affect the amount that it can claim from the FW or the group. Therefore, the
bigger issue is whether WFJ can claim the damages from FW s parent company. In Salomon v A
Salomon Co Pte Ltd [1897], it was held that the veil of incorporation creates a separate legal

freedoms and encouraged the establishment of radical concepts, such as class mobility. This period
of liberation and its effect on the mindset of American citizens is illustrated through The Great
Gatsby. In the novel, the characters of Myrtle Wilson and Jay Gatsbyserve as representations of
optimistic people during the Roaring Twenties who fell victim to the prospect of advancement and
ultimately fell short of their goals. With the introduction of social mobility, much of the lower class
attempted to move up in society during the 1920 s, although... Show more content on

However, while the notion of changing social circles was widely prominent and applauded it is still
revealed to be virtually unattainable if one is not born into the upper class. Fitzgerald demonstrates
the illusion of class mobility that resulted from consumerism and the false pretense that wealth is
sufficient to enter the upper class. By defining the large gaps in between the classes, he insinuates
that the wealthy still successfully ruled during this time

Calpurnia Discrimination Quotes
Cry about the hell white people give coloured folks (Lee pg 170) stated Mr.Radley to Scout, Jem
and Dill. In the book To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee focuses on the main theme of racism.
During the 1930 s racism played a huge role in society for African Americans who faced
discrimination and segregation. The common occurrence of this theme is expressed throughout
relations with individuals, societal discrimination and law injustice for blacks. Racism can and
does impacts the relationships with individuals whether it is an employee, close friend or a
family member. A white upper class family, the Finch s, consisted of a father, Atticus, and two
kids, Jem and Scout. The family also employed a black woman named Calpurnia, as a
housekeeper to raise the kids, but she had always felt like family. Aunt Alexandra, on the other
hand, did not feel the same way about Calpurnia; she did not believe a black woman should raise
white children. She mistreated and discriminated Calpurnia. As Alexandra arrived, her first words
were Put my bag in the front of the bedroom Calpurnia (Lee pg 129); Calpurnia picked up Aunty s
heavy suitcase and opened the door. (Lee pg 129) Alexandra s greeting implies how... Show more

History Of The Pittsburgh Homestead Grays
Some people may think that the Pittsburgh Pirates were the only team to play in Pittsburgh, but
that is not true. The Pittsburgh Homestead Grays and the Pittsburgh Crawfords were the two
Negro League teams. The Homestead Grays started in 1912. The Grays played independently
until they became a part of the American Negro League in 1929. They only spent one season in
the American Negro League and were independent again until 1932. In 1932, the Grays joined
the East West League. The East West League only lasted that season. After a few more years of
being independent, the Grays then joined the National Negro League. This league lasted the rest
of the thirteen years of the Grays. The Grays were one of the most successful Negro League
teams ever. The team acquired nine league titles, and three Negro League World Series titles. The
team s final season was in 1950 ( BaseballHistory ).... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Although they were new to the game, they still won the 1935 Negro National League
championship. The team was lead by the legendary Satchel Paige. They were founded in 1930
and sponsored by the Crawford Bath House and Recreation Center. The Crawfords spent most of
their years as an independent team. Then, in 1933, they joined the National Negro Leagues. The
team won the Negro League title in both 1935 and 1936. After losing several key players, such as,
Satchel Paige, Josh Gibson, and Cool Papa Bell, the team was unable to recover and as a result,
was forced to close in 1938 ( Baseball History ).
Leroy Satchel Paige was known as the best and fastest pitcher to ever be a part of the Negro
Leagues. Satchel Paige compiled a total of sixty four consecutive scoreless innings, twenty one
straight wins, and a 31 4 win to lose record in 1933. He was given plenty attention bringing in
sellout crowds. His only goal was to pitch in the Major Leagues

The Hindu Wedding
The Hindu pre wedding, wedding, and post wedding have many different observable and intricate
aspects, traditions and rituals. Planning a traditional Hindu wedding just like Christian weddings
can differ between couples as well as differences within the Hindu wedding ceremonies between
South India and North India. The most important aspect of weddings in India is that it involves
the whole family. It is not just two people becoming one, it is two families becoming one.
Knowing this, fully expect to have both families involved in every step of planning your big day!
Parents shop for their daughters bridal gifts and goods from the time they are born and devote a
massive amount of their savings for this anticipated weddingday (Vora, 2012). Just like in America,
the first step is an engagement ceremony or in the Hindu tradition, the Mangni (Gullapalli Sagi,
n.d., P.1). In this step the exciting news is shared and the engagement is made official with the
meeting of both sides of the family (Gullapalli Sagi, n.d. P.1). Among the festivities, it is a custom
to pick the Muhurat, or date and time of the wedding during this event (Gullapalli Sagi, n.d., Pp.1
2). Due to the fact that you are a Leo and your fiance is a Capricorn, your zodiac signs, help
determine the appropriate Muhurat. After months of planning, decision making and bonding, your
grand event has finally arrived. The Mehendi ceremony starts off the pre wedding festivities, where
the bride will be

Nursing Homes
Just the mere mention of nursing home causes most people to shudder and think, I would never
put my relative in such a ghastly place. There are a great deal of horror stories that stem from
nursing homes, most along the lines of , My mother was neglected after I put her in a nursing home.
I would go to visit her and she would be lying in urine and have a new bruise, different than the
one that was there last time. There seems to be this popular perception that nursing homes are
places where aging people go to wait out their final days and die; this causes many individuals to
shun them. People are too caught up on these negative stories they ... Show more content on

The predominance of residents in nursing homes are long term, meaning they will never recover
enough to be on their own again. For every 100 residents there are 35 that will die in the nursing
home and 37 will transfer to a hospital before dying (Day). This does not mean that it was the
facilities fault, it just shows that many patients are already reaching their final days when they are
placed in a nursing home. People should not expect the nursing homes to revitalize every single
resident, considering most are in there for extreme health problems.
The nursing homes that are present today have definitely evolved a great deal from where they first
started. Before the 19th century, no age restricted institutions existed in order to care for long term
residents. The elderly people who had an incapacity, were impoverished, or had no family, often
ended their days in almshouses (FATE). In these almshouses, elders had to live with those who were
insane, intoxicated, and homeless. The older individuals ended up being the dominant residents in
the almshouses so superintendents changes the names of these asylums. By 1923, the proportion of
elders had increased to 67% in the institutions, and managers stated they could find everything they
needed (FATE). This began the formation of nursing homes, however, there was still a negative
view that came from the almshouses. People still

Global Warming Has Left Upon Our Natural Environment
Introduction
With July 2013 recorded as one of the worst snowfalls in the history of Australia winters, well
concerned fears are fulminating regarding the future of the ski industry, namely the ski resorts that
reside in the Snowy Mountain region including Thredbo, Perisher, Charlotte s Pass and the Selwyn
Snowfields, and several major Victorian ski resorts including Mt Buller, Mt Hotham and Falls
Creek. The Alps are the only region on the Australian mainland in which deep snowfalls naturally,
however, with the ongoing impact that global warming has left upon our natural environment, it
feels ominously close that the premonition of a snow deprived winter may be as soon as 2050.
More erratic looking winters have confirmed the beliefs of many that the ski industry may not be
viable beyond the mid century mark, given that the ski industry s economic viability is highly
sensitive and contingent on the number of days with good snow cover that are received each
year. According to a government commissioned report, the ski industries initial fears are well
founded with ski seasons to be predicted to be 10 weeks shorter, and the snow depth considerably
declined. While some may reflect upon the 2013 winter and overlook the enormity of the issue,
scientists predict that the impact of global warming means the long term outlook for the ski
industry is bleak, and not positive. Not only does a lack of snowfall presents environmental
consequences, but also poses a series of consequences

Differences In Ancient Rome
While the Roman plumbing was built with lead and some romans were getting sick, many people
with lead pipes did not get sick due to the constant flow of fresh water in the system. Lead only
leaches into the water when it is sitting for long periods of time. Roman pipes were powered by
gravity, and because gravity never stops, the water continued to flow, bringing in a constant source
of clean water. The water in roman cities would quickly flow through the pipes and eventually just
flow out into a nearby river. Romans quickly made differences throughout the empire making the
Romea trade heavy empire. By the end of the first century A.D. the extensive system of fine paved
roads that covered Italy and the populated sections of the provinces... Show more content on

When the Aqueducts got the water to the city, it did not just keep on flowing; the water was
split off and controlled via bronze nozzles at home levels. This meant that the water from the
aqueducts would get divided and sent out to houses through an intricate plumbing system, like
the ones built have today. Markets were a key component in the distribution of goods, though
they did not deliver, people would walk around to all sorts of different shops buying and trading
for goods from all across the empire. In cities, many markets were built for the different classes.
The markets for the rich were filled with objects to help with dinner parties. The poor markets
were usually filled with vegetables and necessities. This, at the time was a newer design, which
caused a bigger split between the rich and poor, having a major impact on Roman society. This
ancient targeting technology still affects the public today, with different stores filled with different
objects meant to fit with a certain class of people. Rome was the cradle of inventions that are now
just common day items such as hair pins, combs, and other such amenities that nearly everyone
has. Rome was also home to the new creation of class work. Glass was starting to be created
through the glass blowing technique to create intricate glass works that were bought by the rich.

The Evolution of Minorities in Film Essay
The Evolution of Minorities in Film
Back in the 1800 s, when calculating the population, African Americans were counted as 3/5 of a
person (Antonia, p2). One would think that in the past two hundred years people s beliefs would
have changed a little bit, but the general white public are stuck into believing the common
stereotypes commonly portrayed in movies. In films and television shows blacks are almost always
portrayed as murderers, robbers, rapists, pretty much anything negative, like American History X,
for example. Two black men are shown breaking into a white man s car. People see this, and in turn
believe that all black men will try and steal their car; as stupid as it may seem, it is true, and as a
result, film ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
White people might not take it very well and possibly get the impression that minorities will
never amount to anything, nor be a large portion of the population. In the late 1970 s, the hit
movie Roots took the country by storm serving as an icebreaker for minorities getting into the
movie industry. It showed the world that a movie consisting of all black actors could still be a
very popular movie. Even though it revolved around the concept of slavery, once Roots came
out, minorities started to show up more and more in films. In the years to come, this trend
would become more and more of a standard in America s mainstream culture. In the late 1980 s
a film entitled Lethal Weapon came out. In this movie, a black man is shown having the family
and being the successful one, while Mel Gibson, the white man, plays the role of the suicidal
lunatic after the death of his new wife. This movie was one of the first few movies where this
kind of thing was going on. Just for laughs, the two would make fun of each other and make
somewhat racist assumptions about each other. But in the end of the movie they end up
becoming best friends. Lethal Weapon served as a good movie to unlock the door to the minority
/white costar door with due to the way in which it does it in a fun way where the viewer doesn t
even realize that the two were of a different race.

Critical Analysis Of Leonard Bernstein s The Age Of Anxiety
The opening night of the Atlanta symphony orchestra had high expectations for the music we were
about to experience. The night commenced with a work of art by Leonard Bernstein The Age of
Anxiety, conducted by music director Robert Spano. A meaningful piece written original to
describe a lengthy heartfelt poem that took place during World War II. The transition between
courses was a unique jazzy upbeat style of the Star Spangled Banner whereas to begin the night it
was a traditional legato style. The audience awaited to feel the recent material from composer
Michael Kurth. Expecting to witness nothing less than sensory images from what inspired Michael
Kurth to write such a delicate piece. As the night continued the large audience grew greater
admiration for the conductors and the orchestraitself. The musician s capability to perform lengthy
pieces of musicwas also a part of the astonishing experience. To conclude a night of emotion the
concerts final performance was a piece by George Gershwin, An American in Paris A piece heavily
influenced by modern time music that expresses freeway. The concert had an overall reconstruction
of American identity theme integrated within each selected piece.
Bernstein and Kurth were two of the talented and gifted composers of the night. Bernstein piece
The Age of Anxiety adhered closely to a symphonic form of music demonstrating a tonal center.

Questions On The Action Challenge Essay
Action Challenge: Answer the following questions as briefly as possible (think 300 words or
less) o Tell us about a time when you worked in customer service, didn t know how to handle a
situation, and worked hard to figure out what to do. Share the steps you took and the outcome.
When I worked as a Student Technology Consultant, there was a student who came to the front
desk in straight panic mode. She was working on an important assignment in the computer lab,
and it seemingly went missing before her eyes. I was immediately empathetic, because of course
I ve been there, and told her I would do all I could to help her recover the document. First, I used
prior knowledge. Admittedly, it was limited, and none of my methods did the trick. Then, I went
online and searched for solutions. (She was freaking out, and my intuition told me that she
actually did lose her assignment, so I told her if I couldn t recover her document I would write a
note explaining the situation to her professor. Of course, some professors wouldn t care, but I
figured it may help some if she needed an extension, etc.) I tried about three or four methods,
before I finally found a solution that worked (searching temp folders on the drive). I was
honestly almost as happy as her to find a solution. She was grateful, and said she appreciated my
patience and thoroughness. Before she left I gave her some tips for backing up her work
regularly...and luckily she didn t need that note. o Briefly share with

The Treaty Of Versailles Necessary
World War II was one of the bloodiest wars ever fought. World War II cost over 60 million lives and
trillions of dollars. However, the entire war could of been prevented. Many wars in history could
have been prevented. Rash decisions ignite wars and change history forever. One example of a
rash decision is the Treaty of Versailles. The Treaty of Versailles required Germanyto pay excessive
reparations. This was impossible at the time, as the country was just in a long and expensive
war. Another irrational decision was the laws of the League of Nations. The League of Nations
was a good idea, but it had flaws. Allowing members to leave the League of Nations at anytime
without consequences is an example of a flaw. Germany used this to their advantage and left it in
1933. Finally, the leaders of Europe should not have pacified Hitler, like they did in the Munich
Conference in 1938. Changes to the Treaty of Versailles, and the League of Nations, and by not
practicing a policy of appeasement against Hitler could have prevented World War II.
The Treaty of Versailles blamed Germany for the losses France experienced in World War I. The
treaty required Germany to pay for these losses. Germany was required to pay France 132 billion
marks in reparations. This fine was excessive in order to show that Germany was weak and to
further weaken the German government. This caused inflation. The German government inflated
the amount of money so much that it became so worthless that people used

Kays about his diagnosis, prognosis, and treatment alternatives including both nonoperative and

he wants to be seen next week for presurgical evaluation with surgery to be completed early next

Jenyns wrote a pamphlet entitled The Objections to the Taxation of our American Colonies by the Legislature of Great Britain, briefly consider?d. The excerpt in the text argues for Parliament?s right to tax the colonies and discusses briefly the theory of virtual representation. He begins by censuring those questioning the jurisdiction of Parliament: The right of the Legislature of Great Britain to impose taxes on her American Colonies, and the ... The PT should keep abreast of current advances in surgical procedures, clinical evaluation and treatment techniques to ensure that contemporary interventions are being provided to produce an optimal outcome. The post operative management of a meniscal repair takes on a more conservative approach as compared to partial meniscectomy to allow for successful healing of the repair. Rehabilitation guidelines differ among surgeons and remain controversial. Programs should be individualized to the type of surgical procedure performed, the type of meniscal tear repaired ... Jennifer Grotz s Medium In the poem Medium, Jennifer Grotz utilizes various examples of selective memory, phallic symbols, and yonic symbols to demonstrate a man raping a girl and ultimately leading to the realization of his mistake and evidently his suicide. She describes the situation in which she is being contacted by the man who raped her, and uses hidden language to compare her unwilling experience with him and his attempt at suicide. It is obvious that Grotz belittles the intruder s suicide by speaking in an ironic, nonchalant tone due to the fact that she does not care if he dies because of what he did to her. He put the elements in order of relative atomic mass and this gave a problem. For example: Iodine with lower atomic mass was after Tellurium in table and that breaking his rules. Modern Periodic table Henry Moseley came and put the elements in order of increasing atomic number. Yet, these television shows and stories derive their inspiration from a genuine historical context so fascinating and pervasive that nearly 1,000 years later Western culture is still transfixed. French author ChrГ©tien de Troyes, who ironically penned the first romantic depiction of Sir Lancelot, wrote many of the tales that inspire modern pop culture. His stories, particularly that of CligГ©s written in 1176 AD, though filled with sometimes supernatural, amorous, and scintillating drama, can reveal the political and social undercurrent of the Middle Ages. Ultimately, the passionate characters and events presented in ChrГ©tien de Troyes CligГ©s transcend the romantic realm, manifesting as representations of medieval court and the rapidly evolving concepts of magic and science in the twelfth century. By dissecting Troyes characters, specifically Thessala, John, and the Salernitan doctors, one can identify the movements they symbolize. Additionally, understanding ChrГ©tien de Troyes position in society and purpose for writing furthers reveals nuances in the plot indicative of the medieval social climate. Essentially, ChrГ©tien de Troyes CligГ©s is reflective of the struggle between new and old ways of interpreting science, medicine, and magical practices as well as the ever shifting social standing of court life. I agree with Marx on the concept that Melville s wrote this book on the social standards for workers in the late 1800 s, and the alienation they face. Melville refused to write books that the public desired or what the standards of writing topics should be in that day of age. According to Marx alienation means, the process whereby the worker is made to feel foreign to the products of his/her own labor. • 24. The First English Dictionary By Samuel Johnson Lexicography is a historic practice which has existed for centuries. It is the practice and process of binding an entire lexicon into a single, readable text. This is a formidable task to undertake. The original definition of lexicon is as follows: A dictionary; a book teaching the signification of words (Johnson, 233). The public uses dictionaries as guidebooks for meaningful speech and discourse. Those who task themselves with creating these texts are called lexicographers. The first English dictionarywas written by Samuel Johnson in 1755. Johnson shared his views of lexicographers in his preface to A Dictionary of the English Language : Among these unhappy mortals is the writer of dictionaries; whom mankind have considered, not as the pupil, but the slave of science, the pioneer of literature, doomed only to remove rubbish and clear obstructions from the path of Learning and Genius, who press forward to conquest and glory, without bestowing a smile on the humble drudge that facilitates their progress. Every other authour may aspire to praise; the lexicographer can only hope to escape reproach, and even this negative recompense has been yet granted to very few (Johnson, 3). Johnson s somewhat dismal description of the pains lexicographers must undergo is very telling of the innate stress and responsibility of dictionary making. • 33. The generation gap in King Lear by Shakespeare One of the underlying themes in Shakespeare s play, King Lear is the concept of the generation gap. This gap is mainly illustrated between the family. The older generation is Lear himself, and the younger generation consists of his daughters Goneril, Regan and Cordelia. In the second plot of the play, Gloucester represents the older generation, and his sons, Edmundand Edgar exemplifies the younger generation. Both younger generations can be divided into two distinct groups. Goneril, Regan and Edmund are the villains in both the plots and Edgar and Cordelia are the loyal, faithful children. This little twist adds to the effect of the generation gap in the play. There are many comparisons that can be made and confrontations that occur... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... It is apparent that the younger generation is motivated by greed, power and lust. This potentially made them more cunning and ruthless in their actions by exploiting the older generation s vulnerability. Edmund s desire for Edgar s half of the inheritance, shows how benevolent a human being can be. In Edmund s soliloquy in the beginning of[Act 1 scene 2] he planned to betray both his father and half brother by forging a letter describing Edgar s intentions on Gloucester s inheritance. Upon showing this letter to the gullible Gloucester, he ordered to have a contract out for Edgar s head. The daughters Goneril and Regan are inspired by their hunger for power and their lust for Edmund. Once Goneril and Regan received their land, they immediately showed no respect to Lear, who gave them the land. In [Act 1 scene 4] Goneril instructs her servant Oswald to show utter disrespect for Lear. Oswald complies and enrages Lear. Soon Lear will find that his two daughters have no loyalties to him. As it turns out, there is no loyalties within each other. In [Act 5 scene 3] Goneril has poisoned her own sister, in hopes of capturing Edmund s love. However, Edgar and Cordelia are exceptions to this generalization. Their actions are very noble and they show great amounts of integrity. • 34. School Uniforms Should Be Abolished The wearing of school uniforms is increasingly popular across the nation. It becomes a controversial argument of communities rejecting these mandated school uniforms in their schools. However, school uniforms are not a negative thing; in fact, they could be positive in many ways by eliminating cliques, saving money for parents, and taking away the bullying off students less fortunate; whereas, school uniforms will also violate students freedom of expression, create a financial burden on families, and uniforms will not alleviate the problems such as higher academic rates, attendance, etc. However, with a solution that would benefit both parties, the public school systems in the Oklahoma City district would benefit greatly if this policy were adopted in all the schools since the district only has seventy four public schools with uniforms, while seventeen schools are not. First of all, these school uniforms should be implemented in the rest of these seventeen schools, because they would diminish economic and social barriers between students. For instance, people come from different social classes such as Upper, Middle, and Lower class. Many lower class families often cannot afford to purchase non essential items for their children, especially for school; many struggle just to purchase the necessity items such as food, housing, transportation, etc. According to the Oklahoma City Board of Education, if families are not able to afford school uniforms, there are ways can help ... In this essay, I will argue that it is a right choice to switch to the cage free system in terms of the animal welfare. Besides, I will suggest that the cage free system should be encouraged because eggs laid by hens raised in such system embraces better nutrition. Encouragement of cage free eggs is a bold move, but it is worth carrying out. In terms of the animal welfare, the cage free system treats hens in a more humane manner and ensures them a life with more freedom. An overwhelming majority of hens are limited in the conventional cages, where they each can share only 67 square inches of the cage space.2 67 square inches cannot even compare with a piece of letter size paper which takes up about 93.5 square inches. Such tiny space is not enough for hens to spread their wings, let alone make nests or perch. The conventional system shows a lack of certain humanity. One example of a rash decision is the Treaty of Versailles. The Treaty of Versailles required Germanyto pay excessive reparations.
