The Management Involved With Everest Simulation Created By...
1.0 Introduction Mount Everest, as the highest mountain in the world, is famous for the enormous
challenge of reaching its summit. This analytic essay is an analysis of the management involved with
the Everest Simulation created by Harvard Business School. During this 3hour simulation I was the
team doctor and achieved all ten of the possible ten points available, therefore 100% of goals were
achieved. This score is related to the goals I accomplish as an individual and as a team. I enjoyed the
simulation and expanded upon my knowledge as it taught a profound understanding of team
dynamics, the capability to accept change, a stronger ability to analyse available information and
create effective communication. Our team as a whole obtained 94% of our goals. 2.0 Leadership 2.1
Issue Our team s major goal when completing this simulation was to ensure we scored as many points
as possible not only individually but collectively. The enticement to get every member to the summit
was alluring; however as a team we decided it was better to stop and contemplate each stage in order
to maximise points. As the simulation was a highly structured task this made the concept of an
individual leading and managing the team ultimately redundant. Each group member contributed
towards being team leader as the group worked cooperatively and cohesively throughout. This issue
corresponds to the theory of leadership and in particular substitutes for leadership. A team working as

What Are The Advantages And Disadvantages Of Automated...
4.0 Advantages
4.1 Automated Storage/Retrieval System
4.1.1 Increased accuracy of order picking
It is good in inventory control and tracking which including greater flexibility to adapt changing
conditions of the business.
There are some functions of this system are tracking the stocks of the products, tracking about
suppliers, and the storage time. So, it helps to control level of inventory and maximize the use of
warehouse space of a company. (Mohan)
An AS/RS system can helps the firm to generate report, so that firms are able to collect the important
data that may be can analyzed and to prepare for demands and supplies during peak season.

It helps building up organization of the properties of a warehouse.
It also allows for more storage space as a result of high density storage and limited channels by using
automation processes.
4.1.3 Reduced direct and indirect labour costs
It can reduce labour costs of a company by dingy workforce desires, lowering fundamental labour
force necessities, and excluded workers from sophisticated operational circumstances.
4.1.4 Improved safety of workers
This system can reduced the number of injuries of workers because this system is using a storage and
retrieval crane and heavy type cranes on the floor to pull parts from cassettes.
For example, it can reduce back injuries of workers due to the heavy lifting required.
4.2 Carousel System
4.2.1 Efficient in picking
This system helps to move carousel bin in automatically and efficient to the pick location.
It also can reduce the restoration time under certain conditions such as high order rates, light item and
others. (Flanders, 2002)

Moving To A Movie Home Analysis
The most important decision you can make, one that will make or break the date, is the type of movie
you choose to go see. Now if you re already in a relationship or married, the rules of film selection are
a little different.
The Golden Rule: Do not go to the movies on the first date. I can not stress this enough. The first date
is all about getting to know each other and the movie theater is the last place you ll be able to do that.
The Movie Rental: If you want to watch a movie and your budget is a little tight, consider renting a
movie and taking it back home with you. Ten years ago going to a movie would have been affordable,
but things have changed. Admission to a film is about $11 and some theaters even offer luxury seating

you throughout your life and doesn t let you forget. My Cousin Vinny (COMEDY 1992 Starring Joe
Pesci and Marisa Tomei): When two young men are convicted of a crime they didn t commit, it s up to
Joe Pesci (playing a hysterical role as the argumentative attorney from New York) to save them from

The Mystery Of Capital Hernando De Soto
Is land registration sufficient to create wealth in the society?
In this essay, I will try to find out if the registration of land rights is sufficient to create wealth in the
society, by emphasising if land registration is instrumental in enhancing smallholders access to credit
thereby enabling economic growth. The basis for my essay will be The mystery of capital by
Hernando De Soto.
In The mystery of capital Hernando De Soto argues that the underlying reason that capitalisation fails
in many countries is the lack of a formalized property system. Because of this, property is considered
dead capital , and its ability to produce value beyond its natural state is inaccessible Soto (2000 p. 6).

49). This ability to activate the otherwise dead value of property can enable economic growth and
create wealth in a society.
Where is the credit?
That formal title enables access to credit and therefor increases economic productivity is one of De
Soto s core arguments for formalization. By contrast, empirical studies in sub Saharan African have
failed to establish the link between title and access to credit for smallholder s farmers. Thereby
determining that poor people with title are no more likely to obtain loans from commercial banks than
those without Musembi (2009 p. 1466).
A study of a sub location of South Nyanza district in Western Kenya found that only 3% of the 896
titles had been used to secure loans, seven years after completion of the formalisation exercise in the
sub location. Another study of a pilot registration scheme in Uganda s Rukungiri district found that,
out of 228 households surveyed, only 15 had acquired loans in the previous five years, over 80% of
those from sources other than commercial banks Musembi (2009 p.

Their conclusions were based upon in vitro (test tube) and in vivo (live) animal studies that found a
link between Bendectin and malformations; basically that the chemical structure of Bendectin was
similar to other other substances known to cause birth defects; and the reanalysis of previously
published epidemiological (human statistical) studies. In neither essence the submitted documents
were never published nor peer reviewed articles demonstrated a link between Bendectin and birth
defects. Merrell Dow had introduced evidence that no epidemiological study ever performed had
concluded that the use of Bendectin by pregnant women significantly correlated with the incidence of

Daubert factors did not apply to Mr. Carlson s testimony. (Kumho Tire Co., 2015). Judge Stephen
Breyer delivered the opinion for the United States Supreme Court holding that the Daubert factors
may apply to the testimony of engineers and other experts who are not scientists. The District Courts
decision to not admit Mr. Carlson s expert testimony was lawful because it found his methodology

she married her first husband Percy Shelley. Mary Shelley had a tragic childhood growing up losing
the only mother figure that she knew of name, Lousia the nanny. This convinced Mary to start writing

The Pros And Cons Of Private Prisons
Hoarse yelling, officers shouting out orders, threats being passed brazenly between those in power and
those whose power has been stripped away. While this may sound like a line that could be from a
dystopian novel or a story about the a corrupt government and its people in a third world country,
things like this have actually happened in the United States. From the year 1980 to the year 2010
people incarcerated for federal drug charges increase from 4,749 people to 97,472. While those
statistics may be shocking, the fact that approximately half of the people with federal drug charges are
not even incarcerated in a federal prison. Those that are not in a federal prison are detained in private

There are many private prison deals where people have either invested their money into the prisons or
the prison has backed another business or running candidate with the prison s money. Regardless of
which way it goes, both sides usually come out on top with the prisoners losing. One group even
created something called the Prison Divestment Campaign in 2011. The campaign was formed by
several groups working together to try and get investors to pull out of private prison deals (Magee 49
50). It was easy for them to get scared that other parts of branches of the government would become
privatized seeing as a piece of the judicial branch already had. The lobbying, however, can be proven
especially with recent events. The day Donald Trump was elected to be the US President stock prices
of CCA had risen by 43% and the stock for the GEO Group had risen by 21%. Just a few day after and
the stock had risen above 100% from what it had previously been. During the time of his campaign
Donald Trump had repeatedly spoken of cities and embellished their crime rates. Trump s propaganda,
as well as his fiery immigration speeches, has led to incarceration rates slowly climbing. Under Trump
s administration, federal prison populations shrink as private prisons thrive all due to the fact that
private prison companies backed Trump in his

why is homosexual marriage still illegal?
Australia has come along way in regards to accepting and acknowleding gay and lesbian relationships.
Sodomy laws were part of Australian law, from 1788 through to 1994 under Human Rights (Sexual
Conduct) Act 1994. The punishment was reduced from execution to life in prison in 1899. Today,
homophobia still exsists, however being gay or lesbian it is no longer institutionalised or illegal.

Many anti gay people use the argument that if gay marriage was made legal, other changes such as
allowing muliple wives, would have to be made. However this is proven wrong, as seen in the
countries who have already legalised gay marriage have not experience those reprecussions.
The Catholic Church is strongly opposed to legalising gay marriage in Australia. Acoording to the
Don t mess with marriage report A Pastoral Letter from the Catholic Bishops of Australia to all
Australians onthe Same sex Marriage Debate, their definition of marriage is that it involves a
substantial bodily and spiritual union of a man and a woman. The Church believes this union is
centred around and ordered not only to the wellbeing of the spouses but also towards the generation
and wellbeing of children. However it has been found that people in same sex couples are more highly
educated and are more likely to be in highly skilled occupations than people in heterosexual
couples. In measures of general health and family cohesion children aged 5 to 17 years with same sex
attracted parents had significantly better scores when compared to Australian children from all other
backgrounds and family contexts. With regard to academic performance, the evidence is that lesbian

On the Origin of Species by Charles Darwin
On November 24th, 1859, On the Origin of Species by Means of Natural Selection, or the
Preservation of Favoured Races in the Struggle for Life by Charles Darwin (renamed On the Origin of
Species 13 years later) was published in London, England. In it, Charles Darwin specified his
observations and gave his insight on what he thought caused evolution. He called it natural selection.
Before this, nearly everyone believed that a single God created every living organism that none of
them had changed a bit since then. Charles Darwin s On the Origin of Species influenced the minds of
1859 and impacted all of science. Charles Darwin was born to Robert Darwin and Susannah

It was on these islands that Darwin noted that various birds, though the same species, differed based
on the different islands they resided on, most notably the mockingbird and finch. It was here that
Darwin first theorized about whether or not species could change over time, based on their location.
Could a species change because of the land, the climate, all of the things that can affect a species? On
the Origin of Species was a breakthrough at the time. It contained radical ideas that many people
weren t prepared to accept, the most widely known being that humans evolved from apes. There are
many important ideas contained within Darwin s book. The first and foremost being: Darwin s belief
that every species, living and extinct, originated from one individual species. Following this belief,
Darwin concluded that organisms within a populace must compete for resources to survive. Also, the
organisms within those individual populations will then show deviations, such as differently shaped
beaks for different food sources. With these variations comes the inevitable fact that certain organisms
will gain enhancements that will improve its ability to compete for resources or survive adversity.
Considering this, it is no surprise that Darwin also theorized that those organisms with beneficial
variations were more likely to survive and pass their characteristics

In order to achieve maximum recovery, you have to choose your rehabilitation services carefully, and
you should choose a program that meets the needs of the individual. Second, the family should play a

requires solid and informed decisions. Because of healthcare that operates on a fee for services model,
you have to understand how a plan will work. As a persons seeking treatment for brain injury, you will

Relationship Between Intelligence And Creativity
What is the relationship between intelligence and creativity?
In this essay I will explore the correlation between intelligence (IQ) and creativity (DT), and whether
one is influenced or can be predicted by the existence of the other. The relationship between IQ
(intelligence quotient) and creativity has been an anchor point for psychological research. Numerous
amounts of psychologists have carried out research in order to find evidence to support this idea of a
correlation or evidence to disprove the hypothesis that IQ and creativity could be related.
IQ is defined as a measure of intelligence that shows the ratio of an individual s mental age to their
chronological age, this is then multiplied by 100 (Cattel 1972). Creativity cannot be measured by
undertaking an IQ test, creativity is subjective and the simplest way of defining it is the ability to
create original, useful and surprising new things. However, over the years pioneering research has
inspired psychologists to devise tests to measure creativity. The most famous Divergent Thinking test
is Guildfords Alternative Uses Task established in 1967. This test proposes that the individual
involved should think of alternative uses for a common item such as a brick. This way of measuring
Divergent Thinking is universally used in contemporary testing of creativity.
In order to analyse and examine whether or not creativity and IQ have a relationship and whether its
influential on each other, I looked at the founding

The idea of the American Dream conveys a delight to anybody endeavoring to accomplish this

a superior position than the present one they are in. The fantasy is distinctive for every person, a few
people dream brings energy towards themselves and their loved ones, as others work for a superior
living for a whole society. This is the thing that makes this idea so uncommon and one of a kind, is
that it doesn t bare down on only one objective, however extraordinary objectives originating from

Latino, Asian, Native American; young, old; gay, straight; men, women, folks with disabilities, all
pledging allegiance under the same proud flag to this big, bold country that we love. That s what I see.

Archaeologists destroy the sites they excavate. This has been one of the major criticisms that has been
lobbed at archaeologists for years. When archaeologists excavate a site, the common practice of

American Indians were held to be inferior to civilized men in order to rationalize the seizure of Indian

Synthesis Essay On Intersex
Gender: a word society uses far too often without realizing its true complicated meaning. Children are
born every day and the golden question becomes Is it a boy or a girl? What would a person do if they

2,000 kids is born with genitals that cannot be clearly identified as male or female. These types of
children are called Intersex , and they break the boundary of gender identification. Intersex is a broad
category for many situations where an individual s genital or reproductive anatomy, or chromosomal

How Is Blanche Misleading
Sometimes appearances can be misleading. One can set up an illusion for themselves to escape reality.
In a Streetcar Named Desired the three main characters Blanche, Stanley and Stella are perfect
examples of this theory. As all of them appear to be one way but their reality was completely different.
Blanche had to be by far the worst of the three. She tried so hard to make it appear as if she was
royalty. Living a life of riches and fun. Blanche put up a front for so long that she couldn t dictate
from what was true or what she had fabricated. When Blanche said, I received a telegram from an old

Reasons, Causes And Effects Of Oppression In South Africa
Every single human being has two personalities, internal and external, a character that you embrace,
and a character that society embraces upon you. Human being creates inner character, but human
external character is created by oppression. In this discussion I will like to give a definition of
oppression, causes and effects of oppression and some possible solutions to empower an oppression.
According to Barker defined Oppression as The social act of placing severe restrictions on an
individual, group or institution. Typically, a government or political organization that is in power
places these restrictions formally or covertly on oppressed groups so that they may be exploited and
less able to compete with other social groups. The oppressed individual or group is devalued,
exploited and deprived of privileges by the individual or group which has more power. (Barker, 2003)
Also, the Blackwell Dictionary of Sociology defined social oppression as a Concept that describes a
relationship between groups or categories of between groups or categories of people in which a
dominant group benefits from the systematic abuse, exploitation, and injustice directed toward a
subordinate group. The relationship between whites and blacks in the United States and South Africa,
between social classes in many industrial societies, between men and women in most societies,
between Protestants and Catholics in Northern Ireland all have elements of social oppression in that

Newton s Accomplishments
Newton was a scientist who worked independently to explore and invent new things in relation to
science and mathematics. He is the one who uncovered the law of gravity and assorted the three laws
of motion. In addition, he discovered advancements in the study of light and he invented the form of
math known as calculus. Newton was also the first scientist to come up with an accurate and proper
design of a reflecting telescope.
Inspiration
In 1666, Newton got inspired to find out about gravity when he saw an apple fall to the ground from a
tree (see figure 2). His first examination about the force of attraction was that it was just matter
attracting other matter. Moreover, he thought that the apple was being attracted towards the ground

Freud Vs Adler
Educators wear many hats, many of which are at the same time, working in an economically
disadvantaged and underperforming schools. Those students often present many emotional and
physical scars, demonstrating undesired behavior and social skills. As educators, we use theorists such
as Sigmund Freud and Alfred Adler to understand each student in part and as an individual, in order to
effectively educate and develop well rounded individuals. Although, both theorists have different
standpoints on the ways in which the personality is created, they are very similar in ideas,
understanding that environmental forces and biological environmental conditions have an impact on
lives as well.
Alder, feeling inferior to his siblings, credited his theories from the life experiences of having to
compensate for his illness and birth order. Alfred Alder, once a protégé of Sigmund Freud, turned
away from Freud in light of opposition of his sexual tension and aggressive theory. Alder focused on
the holistic individual, equality, parent education and life style. Alder believed that the expansion of

Orion Controls Case Essay
Orion Controls Case
Executive Summary
Faced with the challenge of continuing to remain the leader in industrial valve systems, Orion
Controls is required to decide whether or not to carry out product improvement redesigns. A
successful redesign will secure the company an initial level of sales of 50 or 90 units to two new
customers followed by the benefits of enjoying an innovator s reputation.
An expected profit of $262,900 resulting from a product redesign given the information available with
Orion and current commitments, the company is advised to carry out the redesign and sell to Avion
Chemicals and Kemikal. Orion can make a profit of up to $655,000 if successful in achieving
dramatic changes in its existing model SV44A 10 ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Break even Analysis:
Currently, Orion produces the valve at a cost of $8,000 per unit and sells each unit for $10,000;
resulting in a 25% mark up. Orion has agreed to sell the modestly improved valve for $12,000 per unit
when the variable costs alone are $10,500; $8000 per unit manufacturing costs and $2,500 per unit
comprehensive test procedure costs. Orion has decreased its profit margin to 14% without even
considering fixed costs. If the short cut approach works, fixed costs would be $200,000, and Orion
needs to sell 133.33 units to breakeven. If the software design takes eight months, fixed cost could be
as high as $440,000 and Orion would need to sell 293.33 units to breakeven. However, with a
dramatically improved valve and fixed costs of $200,000 Orion will breakeven after selling 20 units
and with fixed costs of $440,000, Orion will breakeven at 46.3 units.
Risk Analysis:
o There is only a 10% chance the entire project will fail; therefore, Orion should take the risk in
developing the product. o Orion regularly takes calculated risks to improve profits. One of Orion s
biggest risks involves the software development. Using a short cut approach and developing the
software within three months, the software development phase of the project has a 75% chance of
being completed at a cost of $120,000. However, if they are unsuccessful, it will cost Orion three
times as much, i.e., $360,000

Facts About Conjunctivitis
According to The Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary Illustrated Manual of Ophthalmology,
conjunctivitis is defined as an infectious or non infectious inflammation of the conjunctiva.
Conjunctivitis is commonly known as pink eye ,it is one of the most common eye infection that is seen
at the eye doctor s offices. At any given week, doctors see approximately three to five patients with
conjunctivitis, the numbers could be more depending on the season. The doctor will be able to
determine whether the conjunctivitis is caused by a virus, bacterium, or allergen, based on patient
history, symptoms, and an extensive eye exam.

Instead, it is the conjunctiva s inflammatory response to allergens including pollen, animal dander, and
other environmental antigens. It s most consistent symptoms are redness and itching. Since allergic
conjunctivitis usually occurs seasonally, just about 10% of individuals seek medical attention, then it
would be safe to say this type of conjunctivitis is greatly underdiagnosed. (Azari and Barney 2013).
Facts about conjunctivitis
Conjunctivitis affects many people and created many financial and social problems. It is estimated that
acute conjunctivitis affect 6 million people annually in the United States. The cost of treating bacterial
conjunctivitis was estimated to $377 million to $857 million per year. (Azari and Barney 2013).
Majority of conjunctivitis patients are treated by their primary care physicians, rather than their eye
care professionals. Studies have shown that approximately 1% of primary care visit are related to
conjunctivitis and 70% of patients with acute conjunctivitis visited an urgent care or primary care.
(Azari and Barney 2013) Conjunctivitis can be divided into infections and non infections causes.
Viruses and bacterial are the most common causes. Non infectious includes allergic, toxic and
inflammation secondary to immune diseases, conjunctivitis can be primary or secondary to systemic
diseases such as gonorrhea, and chlamydia. If you are experiencing any of these signs it is very
important to go to see your eye doctor.(Castro

Academy Awardss
This past Sunday we were all invited to watch the 88th Academy Awards from behind our television
screens. Otherwise known as The Oscars, this award ceremony is presented by the Academy of
Motion Picture Arts and Sciences with the purpose of commemorating those who have displayed
exceptional acting skills this past year in the film industry. However, this year, the Academy Awards
have been synonymous with the hashtag Oscars So White, which ultimately, sheds light on the lack of
minority representation in all twenty nomination categories. Outraged, well known actors and the
public demand for a more equal representation of all races to be considered for Academy Awards. In

Dr. Ruiz defines interpersonal discrimination to be actions taken by individuals or small groups to
deny something to members of an out group (Lecture, Ruiz, 02/25/2016). In Cox s article, he mentions
how other minority groups such as Latinos, Asian Americans, or Hispanics have secured nominations.
(Cox, 2). Cox also states that there is this universal appeal for using white actors in films (Cox, 2). The
lack of diversity is astonishing and poorly reflects the diversity The Academy strives for. To further
illustrate this discrimination, Keegan, Poindexter, and Whipp addressed the membership requirements
for Academy voters. Their article states that changing the dominantly white, male voting population
was impossible to reach because of the academy s stringent membership requirements and the
underrepresentation of women and minorities in the entertainment industry (Keegan, Poindexter,
Whipp, 2). This same article had a quote from New York critic Andrew Gruttadaro who said that no
black people deserved a nomination. (Keegan, Poindexter Whipp, 2). Gruttadaro openly excluded
black actors because of their acting skills. Because the film industry is comprised of white males, it is
not a surprise to see individuals of their same race dominating the nominations. Actors and actresses

The Death Of A Blind Patient
As I walked by the medical unit in St Vincent s Hospital, I was told by a doctor to help watch an
elderly man. When I timidly stuck my head into the room, the doctor asked me not to let the man
leave. I entered and stood by the bed. Who s this? an old man in his sixties asked. I asked if I could
have a sit in order to know more about him. The friendly old man agreed, smiling and introduced
himself as Pat. I looked at his walking stick, unblinking eyes and finally asked, If you don t mind me
asking, are you errr.... blind? I was a third year medical student, who was only taught basic history

The truth is Pat lost his eyesight in an accident 30 years ago. At first he couldn t accept the fact and

How To Cut A Pomegranate By Imatiaz Dharker
Heritage, a special jewel Part A task 1 How to cut a pomegranate by Imatiaz Dharker was a text that
caught my eye in the Perspective Magazine. I wasn t quite sure how a text about cutting a
pomegranate could have anything to do with heritage in the beginning. It was very interesting to read
about how they described the pomegranate as a magical fruit . I really like how they described
everything. How you have to treat it delicately with respect so it won t weep blood, how precious all
the jewels in it is, etc. The text is about growing up with two (or more) cultures. That we have to treat

The thing that bothered me the most was probably when they asked the question are you adopted? .

Cultural Capital Analysis
Although most of the nation has worked hard to end racism, there is still a slight persistence of
inequality (Schaefer, 2014). This persistence occurring among racial and ethnic groups is because of
cultural and social capital (Schaefer, 2014). Cultural capital is a noneconomic force that comes from
the family s background and prior investment in education (Schaefer, 2014). Additionally, this is also
understood to be social assets that include talent, intellect, style of speech, and academic competencies
(Brown, Hurst, Hail, 2016, p. 116). Now, social capital is the collective benefits of durable social
networks and their patterns of reciprocal trust (Schaefer, 2014, p. 246).
As a good example, when it comes to cultural capital, a person who has not been able to receive the
knowledge and education level necessary, would have a much lower capital (Sociology Live, 2015).
This is something that is seen continuously with Mexican Americans. Since some Mexican Americans
are in the poverty level, they have their children also work to provide income to the family. Thus,
when those children grow and are looking for jobs, their cultural capital is not as high and it becomes
much more difficult to find work. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
However, this is usually referred to as soon as someone is able to acquire the desired resources
through social networks (Dreiling, 2015). For instance, a college student that has been able to
maintain a good GPA, could later be useful. The reason is because maintaining a good social status
meanwhile could help get a job through asking previous professors or student service. Since that
student has demonstrated a strong social capital, it is much easier to acquire that job. With this social
capital, later through life it could be used as leverage whenever necessary in order to achieve that
which might be needed (Kolstad Wiig,

Radical Feminism Versus Liberal Feminism
Feminist theories are an extension of feminism into theoretical and philosophical discourse. They aim
at understanding of the nature of gender inequality .They in turn examine women s social roles and

theories also focus on analysing gender inequality and the promotion of women s rights, interests and
issues .Among such theories are the Liberal feminism and the Radical feminism theories. While
Liberal and Radical feminism both seek to ensure that women have access to resources and human

Liberal feminists wish to achieve gender equality by working with the system rather than over

they want the institution to be structured in such a way that it is not oppressive and imbalanced . In

fundamental cause of oppression. Radicals therefore believe

Exercise Increases The Intelligence Of Humans
Now a days everywhere you go people are idolizing human fitness and exercise. The majority of this
generation eats right, lifts right and obsesses over their image. The average person is going to strive
for a great body, and great intelligence. But who ever said you can have both a great healthy body and
intelligence? I do, the human brain is the most complex and unique organ in the body. Some even
consider it a muscle. Similar to muscles, your brain can be trained and worked for better functionality.
There is a direct connection between exercising and increased intelligence in humans. In this paper I
will be backing up my claim that exercise increases the intelligence of humans. By exercise I mean
aerobic physical activity. Physical activity is better known as cardio, it is when your body requires
pumping of oxygenated blood by the heart to deliver oxygen to working muscles. By intelligence I
mean cognitive ability, memorization and academic achievement. Humans, meaning the entire general
population, not a specific sample of the population. I will also being offering a counter argument,
stating that intelligence does not increase human intelligence. Then, I will be evaluating the two
claims, applying reason, and utilizing the four tests of an argument and taking advantage of my critical
thinking skills to validate my claim. Lastly, I will be concluding and synthesizing my argument. A

Critical Reflection
Anyone can turn his weaknesses into strengths , I was reading the book David and Goliath by
Malcolm Gladwell, and the book was about a battle between David, the underdog, and Goliath, the
giant, and it explains how David defeated a giant by using his unconventional strategies. It also talks
about how some underdogs can overcome their weaknesses; in addition, it also explains how power
comes in different forms. Malcolm Gladwell proved his arguments by providing some real life
experiences of different underdogs. According to Gladwell, an underdog is a person who is
underestimated by everyone to perform any task successfully. Malcolm Gladwell also explains many
other terms to prove his argument. I have experiences in my student life where I felt like an underdog.
I felt disempowered because of my weaknesses. I still remember the first day of my English 838 class
at College of San Mateo, and I felt so unconfident in the classroom because I was not a native speaker.
There were also moments in my college classes where I felt empowered because of my strengths; for
example, I felt empowered in my Math 120 and pre calculus class because I already knew the
concepts of these classes. I had a lot of moments in my life where I felt empowered and disempowered
as a student, but learning from those moments helped me to succeed in my college classes.
I felt disempowered in my English 838 classroom because English was not my native language. I have

Purpose Of A Space For Youth
Missions has always been, and continues to be, a cornerstone of my passion to serve. As I continue to
look for the most impactful ways to support the causes that are most important to my ministry, I will
take into account how to unify by second passion dear to my heart, children and youth with my desire
to serve through mission. Missions is a service concerned with providing saving decrees to God s
living children in our communities and throughout the world. It is a service that goes beyond the four
walls of the church. I envision, from this stewardship effort, I can create a space for youth to transform
their community, city, state and the world through mission. A world where young people are able to
engage, embrace, and promote a prospering life that supports those they encounter through their
service of mission.
Today s youth are tomorrow s stewards and leaders. Thus, the purpose of this initiative is to build
stewardship by connecting youth to mission through joyful practical application, knowledge from the
experience they gain, and the actions they take to cultivate a healthy and thriving outlook to serve
humanity. Essentially, so they may continue to support mission work in perpetuity.

As a nation it is essential that we use what we gather and combine with what we have already learned
from history to grow.
You may wonder, How can Middle Eastern terrorist organizations use the ease of access of the
southwestern U.S. border to launch a major, successful attack? Before considering Al Qaeda s
operational tactics, it is equally important to take a look at recruiting methods and targets. I will
analyze Targeting the Poor: How Al Qaeda Would Recruit from Latin America by Freddy Paniagua.
The U.S. Department of State and experts on terrorism have suggested that the poor are a potential
source of recruits for political and Islamic fundamentalist terrorist organizations (Paniagua 2006, 1).
In this publication, Paniagua uses Bayat s classification to explain the dynamics of the poor of Latin
America. Paniagua shows how Bayat argues that the passive poor will typically be content with their
way of life and continue to struggle to survive. The political poor utilize the political process to their
perceived advantage by voting for the party they fell is able to alleviate the burdens of poverty.
Regarding the resisting poor, they typically strive for the opposition of the political and social system.
The resisting poor may even resort to radical behavior to remove the current powers. The current
situation in Syria is a great example of the resisting poor. Lastly, the surviving poor who resort to

dred scott
Dred Scott was an enslaved African American man in the United States who unsuccessfully sued for
his freedom and that of his wife and their two daughters in the Dred Scott v. Sanford case of 1857,
popularly known as the Dred Scott Decision. The case was based on the fact that although he and his
wife Harriet Scott were slaves, they had lived with his slave owner, Dr. John Emerson, in states and
territories where slavery was illegal according to both state laws and the Northwest Ordinance of
1787, including Illinois and Minnesota. The United States Supreme Court decided 7 2 against Scott,
finding that neither he nor any other person of African ancestry could claim citizenship in the United
States, and therefore Scott could not bring ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

1830 the Blow family took Scott with them when they relocated to St. Louis, Missouri. They sold him

met a teenaged slave named Harriet Robinson whose slave owner was Major Lawrence Taliaferro, an
army officer from Virginia. Taliaferro allowed Scott and Harriet to marry and transferred his
ownership of Harriet to Dr. Emerson so the couple could be together. In 1838, Harriet gave birth to
their first child, Eliza. In 1840, they had another daughter they named Lizzie. Eventually, they would
also have two sons, but neither survived past infancy. February 1838 in Louisiana, Dr. Emerson
married Eliza Irene Sanford, and the Emerson s and Scotts returned to Missouri in 1840. In 1842,
Emerson left the Army. After he died in the Iowa Territory in 1843, his widow Eliza inherited his
estate, including the Scotts. For three years after Emerson s death, she continued to lease out the
Scotts as hired slaves. In 1846, Scott attempted to purchase his and his family s freedom, but Eliza
Irene Emerson refused, prompting Scott to resort to legal recourse. Dred Scott case Having failed to

Glaucophane Quadrangles Research Paper
GENERAL ROCK TYPES
The oldest rocks exposed are arkosic sandstone and shale, and small amounts of thin bedded chert and
altered volcanic rocks, of the Upper Jurassic Franciscan formation. Large masses of serpentine and
smaller plugs and dikes of gabbro and diorite intrude these sediments; glaucophane schists and their
unusual mineralogical assemblages are developed locally. The series as exposed on the San Jose
quadrangle consists chiefly of sandstone, shale, and jasper; with occasional bed of heavy
conglomerate. Scattered here and there throughout its area are small patches of greenstone, probably
of tuffaceous origin. In several localities it is associated with serpentine, eclogite, and diorite, each of
which is supposedly intrusive into it. However, large areas of practically unaltered sandstone and shale

miles southeast of the type of Butano Sandstone they belong to. They reached their present location by
large amounts of right lateral slip along the nearby San Andreas Fault. The sequence consists mostly
of interbedded arkosic sandstone, siltstone, and mudstone with locally abundant conglomerate lenses.
A basal breccia and conglomerate that contains fragments of Franciscan graywacke up to 15 ft long is
present. Chaotically bedded zones are abundant throughout the rocks; they consist of large blocks of
sandstone set in a shredded mudstone matrix and are probably of both tectonic and synsedimentary

Introduction. Muddled Is An Acfi2003 Student And As Many
Introduction
Muddled is an ACFI2003 student and as many others has problems with several aspects of the course
including a fundamental principle, the differences in the costing systems and cost management
systems. The purpose of this essay is help Muddled understand the fundamental costing principle that
management systems should reflect the fact that different costs are relevant for different purposes, and
how this principle affects the way that job costing and process costing systems are designed. Along the
way several costing concepts will be explained and laid out for Muddled to understand in a more
simplified method. The axiom will be covered first with particular reference to the costing systems,
the differences between the job ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
2.2 Job Costing System vs. Process Costing System
The main differences between a job costing system and a process costing system can be summarised
to the cost objects used, the size of the job and production, identification of the product, whether work
in progress is present at the start of the period, the method of cost accumulation used and when cost
are asserted.
2.2.1 Cost Objects
Muddled needs to understand that cost objects is something that is assigned costs and has a direct link
to those costs.
Job costing systems are used by firms who make special orders or customised products with individual
identities for each job with regards to singular contract specifications. The cost object being the
individual unit/s or product in that contract. This is due to each job using different amounts of
resources and is allocated specifically to the individual job, thus the specific job is the cost object that
has the costs directly assigned to, at the completion of the job.
Process costing systems are applied when there is a mass production of similar products, in a
continuous flow; though one or multiple departments; thus the products having no identity. The
process or department used to make these products are assigned the costs at the end of a cost period

Oppression In The Bluest Eye
In every pocket of society, there is some sort of food chain. There are the people at the top, those
between, and those at the bottom. This systematic power structure is destroying communities from
within. The book, The Bluest Eye, by Toni Morrison, is a story about young black girl Pecola
Breedlove who dreams for her eyes to turn blue. Chunks of the book are written through the eyes of
Claudia MacTeer, another young black girl in the Loraine, Ohio. We follow Pecola and her mental
demise caused by internal and external oppression from many forces. Oftentimes, people need to feel
powerful to feel themselves. People will take power wherever they can, and if they are at the bottom
of the social hierarchy, it is difficult to find anyone beneath ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

The only people below them are black women. In The Bluest Eye, we see one black man in particular
using his position of power over multiple black women. Cholly Breedlove, husband of Pauline and
father to Pecola, experienced an incredibly hard life. He grew up with his great Aunt Jimmy until he
was a young teen, and ran away after she died. He then continued on a destructive path of freedom and
carelessness for the rest of the book. Cholly s first sexual experience was cut short when two white
men come upon him and his lover, Darlene. As Cholly and Darlene are having intercourse, these men
find them and demand that they continue. They proceed to make lewd comments and watch them as
Cholly finishes. Cholly, moved faster, looked at Darlene. He hated her. He almost wished he could do
it hard, long, and painfully, he hated her so much. (148). Cholly realizes that he is powerless under
these men, and turns his hatred for them into hatred for the only person he s able to have power over,
Darlene. This feeling of powerlessness continues to follow him throughout his life, and he continues
to crave more power and control. He uses this power over his wife and beats her, and he uses this
power over his daughter, raping her multiple times. This feeling of powerlessness and the need to take
power wherever he can comes from internalized oppression. Cholly is unable to satiate his hunger for
power, and so abuses many black women

Comic Collecting Research Paper
I sat in the airport boarding area hyperventilating. My father looked over at me from his seat, more
annoyed than concerned. He knew that I didn t want to travel, yet he made it clear that I, being 14
years old, had no choice in the matter. We were going to visit my grandparents in Puerto Rico. They
hadn t seen me in years and had been asking for a visit for some time. I was told it would be a time to
reconnect with my dad s side of the family, enjoy the country air and the beaches. Oh, and there was
this one other thing. I wasn t supposed to let anyone know that my mother had died a year and a half
ago. You see, my father hadn t found the right way to tell them that their ex daughter in law had
succumbed to cancer after a two year battle ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Why is it that THIS hobby has had the most profound and lasting effect on my ability to help control
my anxiety? Sure, comics, like almost every other collection require careful organization. In that
sense, they are almost identical to anything else I ve collected. Bag them, board them, make sure that
they are properly stored in an area that s not too hot or not too cold. If history is a guide, my
fascination with comic collecting should ve gone the way of every other collection I d ever attempted.
Yet, it didn t...and I think I know why. It s the story. I didn t just read that copy of Flash #30 fifty times
to distract myself from the pain that my father forced me to endure on that trip. Sure, that was part of
it, but the story, of a young Wally West who had graduated from sidekick status to inherit the mantle
of the Flash after his parental figure, Barry Allen had suddenly died, resonated with me. Like Wally,
here I was, alone in the world, figuring out my place, my powers , if you will. This story, and so many
others, unfold over months, years and even decades. They provide rich, complicated plots, featuring
individuals who despite their extraordinary abilities or skill face extreme hardship and yet still

A Short Summary On The Battle Of The Bulge
The Battle of the Bulge was an offensive counterattack by Hitler that began as a success but ends as a
defeat for Germany. The attack was a surprise to the Allies. The surprise attack was held in the
Ardennes. The Ardennes was known as the ghost front due to the fact that no attacks were held in the
Ardennes. The Ardennes is located in Belgium, Luxembourg, France and Germany. The terrain of the
Ardennes has extensive forest and it also has rolling hills. Ardennes was used as a place for soldiers to
rest. Also, new soldiers were sent to the Ardennes to get acclimated to Europe. It also was a place
where some troops were trained. The Ardennes before the counter offensive was a quite but eerie
place.

The date of the attack was not planed but was set on a date for bad weather .They were waiting for bad
weather so that way the allies couldn t see the surprise attack coming. The bad weather would make
for mist in the forest and cause the allied planes to stay on the ground. Hitler used his U boats to help
him plan his attack. The U boats helped him know when the bad weather was about to happen to
happen. The U boats could report bad weather and could predict when the weather would hit the
Ardennes. Once bad weather is reported by the U boats it takes 3 days to hit the Ardennes. Hitler had
been planning the attack for three months but was waiting for bad weather to begin the attack. The U
boat one day reported bad weather and the attack was ready to begin. Two hundred and fifty thousand
men were ready to attack in the Ardennes and begin the surprise attack.
Thousands of Germans troops start the attack in the heavily wooded forest and the allies were caught
off guard. The planning of the battle of the bulge was a success for the Germans. In the beginning
stages many soldiers surrendered due to the overwhelming amount of German troops. Seven thousand
five hundred soldiers in a division surrendered. This surrender was the largest surrender in U S history.
The reason why the attack worked was due to the forest. The allies could not see the enemies through
the forrest. The allies also could not see through the mist that was through the

US Dollar Benefits
A U.S. dollar is an IOU from the Federal Reserve Bank. It s a promissory note that doesn t actually
promise anything. It s not backed by gold or silver. This small quote can accurately describe the
current American economical situation. It is bluntly states that the U.S dollar is worth only the paper it
is printed on. In contrast to other countries who back their money with their current gold reserves. But
the quote also references a different period of time in the history of the U.S. the time in which we did
back our money with gold or going back even farther backing it with silver. But when one looks back
upon the history of the world the usage of silver to back a nation s currency gave way to countries
using gold to back their currency. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
But at the same time it can be worse that we have to limit the amount of money that is on hand. Which
when limited can make depressions worse by limiting the amount of money that can be put back into
the economy. In addition the price of gold is dependent on the global prices and what other countries
store of gold amount up to. In addition if any other countries are starting to buy large amount of gold
and if they are owning it or trading it with other nations. With the chances of gold fluctuating in price,
due to the amount of gold there is in the world, what countries hold the lion s share of gold, and finally
what is the current state of the world. In addition the gold standard is mainly used in capitalistic
economy. This is due to countries that follow the ideals of communism do not believe in people
making money but instead believe in the people supporting each other. But that could also harm the
countries that follow the gold standard because those communist countries hold onto their gold instead
of selling it or giving the gold to a different country. The reason they may hold onto this gold is that
they hope other countries may follow their example and stop following the ideal of

Essay On School Lunch Program
Over 100,000 schools have adopted the National School Lunch Program since its launch in 1946 by
then president Harry Truman. It was orgininally designed to provide low cost, healthy lunches at a
reduced cost and was relatively effective. Lately however, since first lady Michelle Obama fueled a
massive overhaul of the program shortly after her husband took office stripping the meals of so called
unhealthy content and started to require the School Lunch act to meet minimum nutritional standards...
This federal program has become too much about controlling what students eat vs. its content and it
needs to be changed. Ever since first lady Obama rolled out the new guidelines in 2010, there has been
a severe backlash from not just students, but from parents and lawmakers alike. For the past few years,
the program has been stripping food of its appeal, flavor, and quantity for a healthier option to curve
obesity. This has caused the amount of food that growing students, who need anywhere from 2,000 to
3,200 calories a day to less than 2,000. It has also left people in disgust of the portions people have
been getting. The best example of this is the #thanksMichelleObama where students across the
country showcase what this program has done to schools. Lawmakers from both sides say that these ...

The federal program does reimburse schools for free and reduced lunches, which means that both
schools and low income families do benifit, though this has been in place long before Michelle.
Another is that this will help to curve early childhood obesity and promote healthy eating for a new
generation, which is why everything has become low fat in schools and could be a factor in us not
being the most obese country anymore. The last is that the lunches aren t harming students and the
meals haven t changed much. I can tell you from experience that that is dead

William Blake s Influence Of Literature
William Blake
William Blake s poetry was heavily influenced by the Christian Bible, which is quite uncommon for
the English Romantic poets. In fact, he is even known as the final religious poet of Britain. This
tendency toward using the Bible in his literature derived from his avid reading of this holy book
during his childhood. There is little information about any other schooling he might have had outside
of reading this book. However, his writing was unique from other Christian writings as he drew direct
influence from the Bible rather than the common church.

William Blake had radical views regarding his society and the politics that governed it. Blake
demonstrated these radical social views by renouncing clothing and thus condoning nudity. In fact,
Blake even stripped off his dress when meeting with his friends in a garden. His radical political views
were demonstrated while arguing with Soldier John Scofield. The soldier claimed Blake openly spoke
bad of the English King as well as expressed views in favor of Napoleon Bonaparte, the French
emperor, thus landing him in a trial where he was charged with sedation, or the promotion of anti
governmental rebellion.

Blake s demonstrated his radical political views when writing Europe. In this sample of writing, Blake
insinuated contempt against King George the III, though without actually referring to the King
himself. Writing such as these spurred rumors of Blake s treasonous remarks against the King, such as
that which was accounted by a soldier from Felpham. These rumors caused Blake to be charged with
treason, though he was freed of charges later.

  • 2. The Management Involved With Everest Simulation Created By... 1.0 Introduction Mount Everest, as the highest mountain in the world, is famous for the enormous challenge of reaching its summit. This analytic essay is an analysis of the management involved with the Everest Simulation created by Harvard Business School. During this 3hour simulation I was the team doctor and achieved all ten of the possible ten points available, therefore 100% of goals were achieved. This score is related to the goals I accomplish as an individual and as a team. I enjoyed the simulation and expanded upon my knowledge as it taught a profound understanding of team dynamics, the capability to accept change, a stronger ability to analyse available information and create effective communication. Our team as a whole obtained 94% of our goals. 2.0 Leadership 2.1 Issue Our team s major goal when completing this simulation was to ensure we scored as many points as possible not only individually but collectively. The enticement to get every member to the summit was alluring; however as a team we decided it was better to stop and contemplate each stage in order to maximise points. As the simulation was a highly structured task this made the concept of an individual leading and managing the team ultimately redundant. Each group member contributed towards being team leader as the group worked cooperatively and cohesively throughout. This issue corresponds to the theory of leadership and in particular substitutes for leadership. A team working as one making informed ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

In this essay, I will try to find out if the registration of land rights is sufficient to create wealth in the society, by emphasising if land registration is instrumental in enhancing smallholders access to credit thereby enabling economic growth. The basis for my essay will be The mystery of capital by Hernando De Soto. In The mystery of capital Hernando De Soto argues that the underlying reason that capitalisation fails in many countries is the lack of a formalized property system. Because of this, property is considered dead capital , and its ability to produce value beyond its natural state is inaccessible Soto (2000 p. 6). The solution for activating the otherwise ... The first and foremost being: Darwin s belief that every species, living and extinct, originated from one individual species. Following this belief, Darwin concluded that organisms within a populace must compete for resources to survive. Also, the organisms within those individual populations will then show deviations, such as differently shaped beaks for different food sources. With these variations comes the inevitable fact that certain organisms will gain enhancements that will improve its ability to compete for resources or survive adversity. • 12. Relationship Between Intelligence And Creativity What is the relationship between intelligence and creativity? In this essay I will explore the correlation between intelligence (IQ) and creativity (DT), and whether one is influenced or can be predicted by the existence of the other. The relationship between IQ (intelligence quotient) and creativity has been an anchor point for psychological research. Numerous amounts of psychologists have carried out research in order to find evidence to support this idea of a correlation or evidence to disprove the hypothesis that IQ and creativity could be related. IQ is defined as a measure of intelligence that shows the ratio of an individual s mental age to their chronological age, this is then multiplied by 100 (Cattel 1972). Creativity cannot be measured by undertaking an IQ test, creativity is subjective and the simplest way of defining it is the ability to create original, useful and surprising new things. However, over the years pioneering research has inspired psychologists to devise tests to measure creativity. The most famous Divergent Thinking test is Guildfords Alternative Uses Task established in 1967. This test proposes that the individual involved should think of alternative uses for a common item such as a brick. This way of measuring Divergent Thinking is universally used in contemporary testing of creativity. In order to analyse and examine whether or not creativity and IQ have a relationship and whether its influential on each other, I looked at the founding ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Typically, a government or political organization that is in power places these restrictions formally or covertly on oppressed groups so that they may be exploited and less able to compete with other social groups. Orion Controls Case Essay Orion Controls Case Executive Summary Faced with the challenge of continuing to remain the leader in industrial valve systems, Orion Controls is required to decide whether or not to carry out product improvement redesigns. A successful redesign will secure the company an initial level of sales of 50 or 90 units to two new customers followed by the benefits of enjoying an innovator s reputation. An expected profit of $262,900 resulting from a product redesign given the information available with Orion and current commitments, the company is advised to carry out the redesign and sell to Avion Chemicals and Kemikal. Orion can make a profit of up to $655,000 if successful in achieving dramatic changes in its existing model SV44A 10 ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Break even Analysis: Currently, Orion produces the valve at a cost of $8,000 per unit and sells each unit for $10,000; resulting in a 25% mark up. Orion has agreed to sell the modestly improved valve for $12,000 per unit when the variable costs alone are $10,500; $8000 per unit manufacturing costs and $2,500 per unit comprehensive test procedure costs. Orion has decreased its profit margin to 14% without even considering fixed costs. If the short cut approach works, fixed costs would be $200,000, and Orion needs to sell 133.33 units to breakeven. If the software design takes eight months, fixed cost could be as high as $440,000 and Orion would need to sell 293.33 units to breakeven. However, with a dramatically improved valve and fixed costs of $200,000 Orion will breakeven after selling 20 units and with fixed costs of $440,000, Orion will breakeven at 46.3 units. Risk Analysis: o There is only a 10% chance the entire project will fail; therefore, Orion should take the risk in developing the product. o Orion regularly takes calculated risks to improve profits. One of Orion s biggest risks involves the software development. Using a short cut approach and developing the software within three months, the software development phase of the project has a 75% chance of being completed at a cost of $120,000. Dr. Ruiz defines interpersonal discrimination to be actions taken by individuals or small groups to deny something to members of an out group (Lecture, Ruiz, 02/25/2016). In Cox s article, he mentions how other minority groups such as Latinos, Asian Americans, or Hispanics have secured nominations. (Cox, 2). Cox also states that there is this universal appeal for using white actors in films (Cox, 2). The lack of diversity is astonishing and poorly reflects the diversity The Academy strives for. To further illustrate this discrimination, Keegan, Poindexter, and Whipp addressed the membership requirements for Academy voters. Their article states that changing the dominantly white, male voting population was impossible to reach because of the academy s stringent membership requirements and the underrepresentation of women and minorities in the entertainment industry (Keegan, Poindexter, Whipp, 2). This same article had a quote from New York critic Andrew Gruttadaro who said that no black people deserved a nomination. (Keegan, Poindexter Whipp, 2). • 26. Cultural Capital Analysis Although most of the nation has worked hard to end racism, there is still a slight persistence of inequality (Schaefer, 2014). This persistence occurring among racial and ethnic groups is because of cultural and social capital (Schaefer, 2014). Cultural capital is a noneconomic force that comes from the family s background and prior investment in education (Schaefer, 2014). Additionally, this is also understood to be social assets that include talent, intellect, style of speech, and academic competencies (Brown, Hurst, Hail, 2016, p. 116). Now, social capital is the collective benefits of durable social networks and their patterns of reciprocal trust (Schaefer, 2014, p. 246). As a good example, when it comes to cultural capital, a person who has not been able to receive the knowledge and education level necessary, would have a much lower capital (Sociology Live, 2015). This is something that is seen continuously with Mexican Americans. Since some Mexican Americans are in the poverty level, they have their children also work to provide income to the family. Paniagua shows how Bayat argues that the passive poor will typically be content with their way of life and continue to struggle to survive. The political poor utilize the political process to their perceived advantage by voting for the party they fell is able to alleviate the burdens of poverty. Regarding the resisting poor, they typically strive for the opposition of the political and social system. The resisting poor may even resort to radical behavior to remove the current powers. The current situation in Syria is a great example of the resisting poor. Lastly, the surviving poor who resort to ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Glaucophane Quadrangles Research Paper GENERAL ROCK TYPES The oldest rocks exposed are arkosic sandstone and shale, and small amounts of thin bedded chert and altered volcanic rocks, of the Upper Jurassic Franciscan formation. Large masses of serpentine and smaller plugs and dikes of gabbro and diorite intrude these sediments; glaucophane schists and their unusual mineralogical assemblages are developed locally. The series as exposed on the San Jose quadrangle consists chiefly of sandstone, shale, and jasper; with occasional bed of heavy conglomerate. Scattered here and there throughout its area are small patches of greenstone, probably of tuffaceous origin. Job costing systems are used by firms who make special orders or customised products with individual identities for each job with regards to singular contract specifications. The cost object being the individual unit/s or product in that contract. This is due to each job using different amounts of resources and is allocated specifically to the individual job, thus the specific job is the cost object that has the costs directly assigned to, at the completion of the job. He then continued on a destructive path of freedom and carelessness for the rest of the book. Cholly s first sexual experience was cut short when two white men come upon him and his lover, Darlene. As Cholly and Darlene are having intercourse, these men find them and demand that they continue. They proceed to make lewd comments and watch them as Cholly finishes. Cholly, moved faster, looked at Darlene. He hated her. He almost wished he could do it hard, long, and painfully, he hated her so much. (148). It was orgininally designed to provide low cost, healthy lunches at a reduced cost and was relatively effective. Lately however, since first lady Michelle Obama fueled a massive overhaul of the program shortly after her husband took office stripping the meals of so called unhealthy content and started to require the School Lunch act to meet minimum nutritional standards... Ever since first lady Obama rolled out the new guidelines in 2010, there has been a severe backlash from not just students, but from parents and lawmakers alike. For the past few years, the program has been stripping food of its appeal, flavor, and quantity for a healthier option to curve obesity. • 50. William Blake s Influence Of Literature William Blake William Blake s poetry was heavily influenced by the Christian Bible, which is quite uncommon for the English Romantic poets. In fact, he is even known as the final religious poet of Britain. This tendency toward using the Bible in his literature derived from his avid reading of this holy book during his childhood. There is little information about any other schooling he might have had outside of reading this book. However, his writing was unique from other Christian writings as he drew direct influence from the Bible rather than the common church. William, Corbett. Blake, William (1757 1827). William Blake had radical views regarding his society and the politics that governed it. Blake demonstrated these radical social views by renouncing clothing and thus condoning nudity. In fact, Blake even stripped off his dress when meeting with his friends in a garden. His radical political views were demonstrated while arguing with Soldier John Scofield. The soldier claimed Blake openly spoke bad of the English King as well as expressed views in favor of Napoleon Bonaparte, the French emperor, thus landing him in a trial where he was charged with sedation, or the promotion of anti governmental rebellion.
