Colour Schemes
• Dark colours for masthead:
– Red and black
– Black with white outline
– Red and white
• Dark background
– Black
– Grey
– Red
• The majority of colour for my magazine will be
dark. This connotes to the reader the stereotype
that the rock genre is known for being dark.

Brand Identity
• In order to create brand identity I will make sure my
masthead is clearly visible so my reader will get to know
what my magazine will look like.
• Throughout the magazine I will have a consistent colour
scheme which will clearly show the reader my magazine.
• At the bottom of the page I will have my web address so
the reader can go on the website for more news and
information about the magazine.
• I will have social media link so the reader can follow the
magazine and find out important information dates and
news about the artists featured in the magazine.

• I would hope to price my magazine
for one of the cheapest out there
but still have the same content as
other existing magazines. This
connotes that more people are likely
to buy my magazine as the price is
lower than other magazines but still
has the same contents.
• The price for my magazine will be
between £2-£3.

• I hope to issue my magazine every week. This
connotes to the reader that my magazine is
full of the latest information on all the lasted
and most popular rock bands and artists. This
would make my reader want to buy my
magazine instead of waiting for a magazine
that only issues their magazine monthly,
therefore giving my publication a competitive
edge.

• Men aged between 15-30 (Hartley’s 7
subjectivities)
• Using Katz’ Uses & Gratification theory, my
magazine should be able to ‘educate’ the readers
into learning about different artists and their
lives.
• Into Rock and Punk Rock
• Stereotypical appearance - Dark clothes:
– Skinny jeans
– White or black t-shirts
– Dark hoodies
