3. As I planned and created my magazine( Retro-
Perspective) I had to come up with a rough idea
of who my target audience would be.

4. The audience for my are not very specific in terms of their social
grouping this being their age, ethnicity, hobbies, gender.
However I assume in media grouping they are technologically
literate, they most probably have and use a smart phone or
tablet devices.
Possible characters of my audience:

5. • My audience will not be a specific age but I estimate
they will range from 15-30. This because Hip-Hop is
a broad genre it has many different type of artist
with different content within their music and because
of this the genre is able to entertain and satisfy such
a broad range of people
• I assume the majority of the audience for my magazine
will be urban individuals as Hip-hop is based around
urban culture, however that does not mean when making
this magazine I restricted it to just this. I feel this
assumption is accurate.
• Although there are no specific hobbies I could link my
target audience to. From all the research and general
knowledge of the genre I understand that the target
audience will probably enjoy popular sports like
basketball and football and thus meaning the majority of
my audience will be males. However, saying this many
females are in this Morden day are also actively
interested in such hobbies; normally for different reasons
though “women are normally interested in the athletes
whilst men are interested in the actual sport itself.

6. • Fashion is a big part of Hip-Hop and I feel my
magazine to The audience that read this magazine
will probably have an active interest in fashion and
they would most probably consider themselves as
having “Swag” this is hip hop slang for being
fashionable.

7. In summation, the audience that would read my magazine
is fairly broad and this is because of the nature of the
genre. However the design and content of my magazine
will appeal to sub-groups of this broad variety for example
“female and males who have an interest in fashion. I can
safely assume that my product will appeal to older and
urban teenagers who are technologically able and in the
social classification ABC1, this is because of the
sophisticated design my magazine has.
