How Is Mesopotamia Similar
Writing Assignment Egypt and Mesopotamia both have similarities as well as differences. The
geography of the two civilizations are similar because a river plays an important part in their way
of living. They are different because Mesopotamia is divided into regions. The governments of the
two countries have large differences. The advances in technology and science were relatively
similar as well because both countries invented writing systems and irrigation systems.
In Egypt and Mesopotamia, the environments have extreme similarities. In Egypt, one of the
main areas in the environment is the Sahara Desert. The desert runs across the top of Africa
taking up a large part of Egypt. Because the dessert is so dry, people are not able to live there,
but it is useful because it keeps enemies and intruders out of the area. The Nile river is also very
important in Egypt. It starts south of Ethiopia and flows into the Mediterranean sea. The water
from the Nile makes it possible to grow crops. In Mesopotamia, the Tigris and Euphrates rivers
flow through most of Syria, which makes it similar to Egypt. Mesopotamia is divided into the
northern region and the southern region. The northern region consists of ... Show more content on

Character Analysis Of Franny And Zooey
In this novel about identity, we are reminded of how often we see ego, wishes, and desires. The
specific mundane details of objects, such as the medicine cabinet, Franny s purse, and other
objects, bring out characterization of both Franny and Zooey. The objects can signify how
disorderly and imperfect they both are, but are known to be these perfect people because they re
really good at what they do. Also, for how famous they are in their acting careers. Salinger uses
objects as a metaphor for an empty devoted life, dedicated to a spiritual meaning. When Lane
meets up with Franny, he says that he is the only one on the platform that really knew Franny s
coat (7,Salinger). The coat reminded him of when they first kissed and had a... Show more content

other emotional and physical health related issues. These include, not being able to digest food

needing support to get through the day. We can see signs of spiritualism Zooey calling the

this way to his mom. This goes into Zooey trying to get Franny to see life in a sacred way, but as
Zooey explained it to his mom like chicken soup, she says it s consecrated . When Zooey goes to
Seymour and Buddy s room he reads the quotes on the bulletin board of favorite books. In this
room there are many quotes from the spiritual classics the children thrived on. Books of literature
and spirituality become a metaphor for the higher life of imagination and seeking that the children
shared. Zooey claims that Franny did not get The Way of a Pilgrim from the library, but from
Seymour s desk. This makes Franny upset because these books containing a beautiful world that
sustained her and her siblings at home are destroyed in college by academic analysis. The

There are many transfer functions but how we select them, Is there a certain criteria?. There is no
straightforward answer to this question, it depends on the neural network itself and what you
want to achieve from it and the problem that neurons are trying to solve. Transfer function may be
linear or non linear, and It s generally non linear. linear transfer functions are usually used for
inputs and outputs and also non linear transfer functions (Sigmoid) are used for hidden layers. The

Comparing Poems The Fish And At The Fishhouses
The American poet, Elizabeth Bishop, was a 20th century poet who was highly reputable for
her published work. She was a Pulitzer Prize winner in 1956, and a National Book Award
Winner for Poetry in 1970. She two of many famous poems, are The Fish and At The Fishhouses.
These two poems can be used to analyze her use of free verse and form to construct her poetic
technique. Bishop s poems are descriptive and illustrate reverence for something greater than
herself. Elizabeth Bishop intimately brings readers in by her poetic techniques such as simile,
repetition and alliteration, thus alluding to deeper meanings of knowledge and veneration.
Although The Fish is a free verse, 76 line poem, it has internal form including the use of similes to
describe the scene only moments in time. In total, 7 similes are used to describe the tremendous

may correspond to something powerful because it has withstood time. Likewise, once beautiful

strengthen the value of ancient wallpaper, like an object passed down to the next generation, to

has accumulated ribbons and metals. In the fish s lower lip, there are lines and hooks, Like

El Greco s Influence On American Culture
The world of art has been influenced by Spanish Artists throughout the years. Art is a creative skill
and imagination. Art is typically in a visual form such as painting or sculpture producing works to
be appreciated primarily for their beauty or emotional power. Art allows people from different
cultures and different times to communicate with each other. Art is often has also made social
changes throughout time. A song, film or novel can rouse emotions in those who encounter it,
inspiring them to want change. Art in Spanish Culture has evolved over the years because of

An Analysis of Wilbur s Mayflies Essay
An Analysis of Wilbur s Mayflies
Richard Wilbur s recent poem Mayflies reminds us that the American Romantic tradition that Robert
Frost most famously brought into the 20th century has made it safely into the 21st. Like many of
Frost s short lyric poems, Mayflies describes one person s encounter with an ordinary but easily
overlooked piece of nature in this case, a cloud of mayflies spotted in a sombre forest (l.1) rising
over unseen pools (l.2), made surprisingly attractive and meaningful by the speaker s special
scrutiny of it. The ultimate attraction of Wilbur s mayflies would appear to be the meaning he finds
in them. This seems to be an unremittingly positive poem, even as it glimpses the dark subjects of

17). More surprising yet, though surely emblems of the ephemeral (of the order ephemeroptera),
they suggest by their choreographed life an interconnectivity in nature that transcends an
individual?s mortality. Indeed, in the third and final stanza they become a foil for the speaker?s
own sense of ?separateness? and mortality ?as night close[s] in?(l.18). At a literal level the poem
all along insists on the speaker?s separation, as ?witness?(l. 9), from this ?manifold/ And figured
scene?(ll. 13 14). To see the dance so well, he has had to be stationed outside it. This exclusion, it
would seem, is the poet?s classic occupational hazard.
Yet this darker revelation is quickly eclipsed by one last happy irony, a revelation of sorts: the
poem so artfully represents it subject, its conspicuous ingenuities of form so undulate and
glitter like the mist of mayflies, that the poem itself becomes the mayflies?or means to come as
close as language can take it. As a special way of seeing, the poem means to breech the gulf
between seer and thing seen and thus forge a connection to the object world, the speaker?s own
absence from which he ostensibly laments. That this attempt is successful seems implicit in the
last lines of the poem. There, it occurs to the speaker that his sense of separateness and mortality
can be allayed by the idea that he has been ?called? to be a poetic seer, ?one whose task is joyfully
to see/ How fair

The Statue Of The Goddess Sekhmet Analysis
Mistress of peace and of the war cry. Lady of heaven, queen of the gods Great Mut. Creator.
Protector. Lady of joy. Cobra of dread. The vigilant mistress of Karnak. Mighty ruler in her
Theban temple. She whose spirit exists because her temple endures. She whose temple and city
will exist for millions of years 1. This writing comes from a hymn on a stela praising Mut. This
stela praising one of the prominent goddesses of Egypt shows the great praise and proclamations
given to their religious figures. Another such example of Egypt s adoration for their gods is in the
statue of Sekhmet, one of the many other statues found at the Temple of Mut. The statue stands as
another representation of not only Egypt s growing religious movements, but of the growing artistic
movements in sculpting as well and the appreciation the higher powers of Egyptians had on their
gods and religion.
The Statue of the Goddess Sekhmet is currently held at the Royal Ontario Museum in the Ancient
Egypt exhibit with the inventory number, 2007. 68. 1. The statue depicts a woman with the head
of a lion, the goddess Sekhmet herself, sitting on a throne and has a broken off muzzle due to
age. The figure sits rigidly on top of a throne, a common depiction of some of the important gods
of Egypt. Originally the statue had held an ankh but had broken off due to age. It was sculpted out
of black granite and stands at 184 centimetres.
The statue was built during the New Kingdom specifically the 18th dynasty

Influence Of Advertising And Marketing
As of today s society, popular culture is growing, although, in order for our community to be any
well liked culture, advertising and marketing have to take part. When reading What We Are to
Advertisers by James Twitchell and Men s Men and Women s Women by Steve Craig, people will
realize that the main audience for advertisingand marketingis what causes the popular of the
culture to develop. In What We Are to Advertisers, the article examines that advertising is to not

groups. For Men s Men and Women s Women by Steve Craig, his point of view is not about society

is a way to pass on the word to the common people about specific products. If we were to take a
glance surrounding our local grocery store, we will see numerous goods that we are well known

arranges consumers by purchasing cravings. There are three principal groups, as well as eight sub

significant wars ever fought in American History. Many Americans lost their lives, some
defending freedom, and others defending the Union. The warfare was a major contributor to the
casualties suffered during this bloodbath. To fully understand this warfare, one must understand
the individual factors involved and how they affected the warfare. The five factors are: military
strategy, worldview paradigm, weapons and supplies, terrain, and climate. Military Strategy is
important to understand because it is the way that warfare is carried out. A historian named
Kelly Snell writes, Old world tactics and training were inefficient due to modern weaponry
(Snell). There was pressure for a transition to new military strategy because of the new weapons.
The tactics used before the civil war are often referred to as antebellum. Antebellum means
existing before a war (Antebellum). Advances in weaponry caused for a change of thought on how
to approach warfare. All of the military thinking of the day was influenced by Napoleon (Snell).

IV Therapy Complications
Issues Intravenous fluid therapy has been used for almost 200 years and remains a fundamental
part of hospital patient care. There is always danger involved with prescribing and giving people
iv fluids. The wrong administration of IV fluids such as the incorrect volume or the incorrect
type of fluid could result in serious complications. Peripheral Intravenous Catheters (PIVCs) are
a tool in the delivery of patient care. PIVCs enable people to have therapies such as medications,
fluids and nutrition to reach patients quickly and effectively through the bloodstream. A study
found a complication rate for PIVCs in place for 96 hours to be close to 50 percent. Some of the
most recognized complications of PIVCs are phlebitis, occlusion, infiltration and extravasation
and IV infection. Some of these complication could and in the past have caused death among
patients. Many complications with IV fluids are leading up to more dangers complications.
Most can be treated but they are very painful but some complications are life threatening such as
deep thrombophlebitis caused by the building of a clot in a blood vessel. Some complications
caused by IV therapy are very costly such as occlusion because they have to replace the catheter.
Also many effects caused by IV therapy cannot be noticeable until the IV is taken off. This is
very dangers because if the complication is not treated over a period of time it could evolve into
something more dangers. In this project I will describe

The Education Of The United States Essay
The Education Revolution
Currently, the United States is ranked 14th in its educational standard, 17th in educational
performance and 24th in literacy (Mark). Compared to the rest of the world, we are behind
countries like Poland, China, Finland and New Zealand. For a country that prides itself on its
successful western society, what is stopping us from having an education system to match the
standards we have put on the rest of our amenities. However, a solution is closer than it seems.
According to Rasmussen College, there are 6.7 million students currently enrolled in online
courses, therefore with an increasing number of students attending these classes, it is not a question
on whether or not these classes will become normal, but when and how these classes will
revolutionize our education system (Bird). Online courses offer students the ability to create an
education based around their schedule, and allow students who may struggle or may not be able to
attend a traditional school environment the chance to have an equal education. Not only can the
students benefit from an online education environment, but both schools and professors can gain
from an online system. Moreover, such courses can help create a global education system that
allows anyone to have the same access to an education anywhere in the world as long as they have a
connection to the internet.
Online classes allow students to create a flexible schedule for students with jobs and busy home
lives and can

Reflection About Love
Driven by our most basic human instincts, the act of finding love is often associated with
sacredness and is frequently regarded as a divine act that is to be cherished. The notion of love is
a universal principle that is responsible for the existence and preservation of society, lays out the
foundation for all human actions, undergirds the innate behaviour of human beings, and can be
regarded as the aspiration and source of all human striving. As a result of the intrinsic ability and
humanistic quality of giving and feeling love, it is without question that this universal feeling is the
supreme concern of all human beings. Symposium is a unique literary work and a transcendent
masterpiece by the venerable Plato, written on the foundation of one of the most prominent and
basic themes and primitive subject matters known to mankind love. In this classical Ancient Greek
disquisition, six distinguished Athenians employ story, lyric, and verse in the form of speeches, to
convey a variety of legends and motifs regarding the nature, function, and capacity of love (Eros).
These ancient dissertations centered around the phenomenon of love, present sublime subject
matter, abstract content and oratorical power that has seized my mind, stirred my thoughts, and
allowed me to deeply examine my personal insights regarding love.
In the English language and Western culture, love is a remarkably far reaching, extensive term that

Symbolism In The Giver By Lois Lowry
Have you ever wondered about the symbolism and central idea in The Giver?
For years people have pondered about the true theme and concealed symbols in the end of this
Newbery Medal science fiction book. In this novel, Lois Lowry uses several literary devices such
as imagery to send the message that hope can pull a person through their gravest of times while
using specific diction and anaphoras to show a more in depth meaning in chapter twenty three and
to express the voice at the end of this literary work. To begin with, Jonas used all the mental and
physical strength he had to ride on the sled to Elsewhere towards a brighter, better future to
complete the mission the Giver created with him. His actions in the end of the book show that his
hope was strong enough to get Gabe to Elsewhere, where the memories should have been
released to all the citizens in the Community. Lowry uses imagery such as The wind was bitterly
cold. The snow swirled, blurring his vision. But somewhere ahead, through the blinding storm,
he knew there was warmth and light. and The hill was steep but the snow was powdery and soft,
and he knew that this time there would be no ice, no fall, no pain. Inside his freezing body, his
heart surged with hope. to elaborate on how Jonas feels the need to push on forward to get to
Elsewhere with Gabriel despite the fact that he is close to dying from hypothermia. One way to

What Is Imperialism In Things Fall Apart
As a simply written novel with an incredibly complex theme, Things Fall Apart gives readers a
touch of cultural shock which manages to leave them unwilling to return home after the last page.
Chinua Achebe, the author, bases the plot around the experiences his people group has with
imperialism and uses events throughout the story to prove his opinion on this controversial
occurrence in history. The tale centers around Okonkwo, an Ibo man determined to stay traditional,
which becomes problematic when Europeans begin to take over African tribes and reorganize their
governments. This experience exhibits imperialism, which most know of as the policy of extending

As a way for clansmen to solve problems among themselves, this judgment is vital to the
continuous survival of the Ibo people. The Ibo people s ancestors run the court, with masks to
hide their true identities and keep the illusion real to naive clansmen. Each egwugwu represents
one of the nine villages of the clan, and all gather prior to the tribunal in a hut exclusive to
members of the esoteric cult. Outside the private hut lies the ilo, the village green, where the
Ibo hold these courts and the crowd gathers around the opposing parties and the stools specified
for the elders to watch. The organization and work behind such an procedure supports the Ibo s
civility in that citizens are using their time to settle issues that others have and work together to
solve problems that may not even involve them. When a culture cooperates to achieve peace, it
proves that their relationships with each other are healthy and without any bonds between
citizens to hold a culture together, there will undoubtedly be separation which leads to falling
apart. The fact that the Ibo do this supports their civility and that they do not need imperialism.
Further evidence is provided when Evil Forest, the leader of the egwugwu, states We have heard
both sides of the case... our duty is not to blame this man or to praise that, but to settle the
dispute (93.) When a court hears both sides of a case, it proves that they value equality which is
a key quality in a civilized society as it allows everyone in the clan to be treated the same and that
prevents displeasure which could lead to a clan s destruction. Thus a judicial system becomes
necessary to an established tribe and the fact that the Ibo people have one supports the claim of
their civility and that they do not need

Analysis and Design Phases Description
Software Engineering is the whole process of developing a software product from beginning to end
using an accepted methodology. One of the common and oldest methods is the Waterfall model
which sets a linear sequence of progression from Requirements gathering and analysis, design,
implementation, testing to maintenance (Philip L, Matthew, Nick, 2002).
Fig (1) the waterfall model of software development
The five common stages include
1.Analysis
At this stage the system requirements are collected and defined. Every existing systems can also be
evaluated and each inadequacy can be highlighted.

Mad Max Road Warrior And Warrior Road Analysis
Mad Max; Road Warrior and Fury Road are Australian dystopian films directed by George Miller.
The two films were released, with 34 years between them, allowing the audience to explore the
different representations of stereotypes and ideologies in each time period. To a certain extent, the
characters in each film contrast with one another, displaying a change in social and political
context, specifically with the concept of feminism. This is due to the changes of media content as
society has progressed.
The 1980 s was a time for womens liberation, to a large extent there was a change in the areas of,
health, work, law, education and welfare, redressing the issues of equality in Australia. Planned
parenthood was put into place, allowing ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Big Rebecca does not reinforce the stereotype, she is an elderly women yet seen as a figure of
importance. Her ideas and blessings are considered by the tribe as she is the voice of reason and
promotes to save her tribe from Lord Humungus . The Women Warrior challenges and reinforces
the representation of a female in a action film. A attractive, fierce, well equipped young woman
who stays moral to her tribe. In the first scene in which features the Women Warrior, it is evident
she is disappointed in the actions of Max when he demands for oil, she tells the leader give him
nothing turning to Max and says trading human flesh, you must be trash . The woman warrior is
seen as vigorous yet this differs when she is murdered by an arrow in the chest, slumping over
maxes car in the battle against the enemy. The Women s liberation did contribute to the content of
media in the 1980 s, although the ideology of men being superior and more dominant were still
there, evident through the character of Max.
In todays society, the second wave of feminism develops and the way in which society perceives
and understand it has shifted to becoming a trend . Yet, today we see the most amount of change
in history. Women, today are allowed to become whatever they desire, if that includes a doctor or
even an astronaut, higher roles are granted. Fathers are choosing the role of a housewife , today it
is socially acceptable for the women to

The Macro Sociology Perspective
Equality seems to be now a thing in society as people believe and that females do not need to
strive for a feminist movement, however as a female myself I still believe that we have not
achieved equality and an example of that would be the education system. I m going to connect it
to two of the macro sociology perspective. Macro sociology perspective is a sociology study that
focuses on the human society on a wide scale. One of the macro sociology perspective, I m going
to talk about the educational system for the females all around the world., not all countries practice
equal educationsuch as Bolivia, Armenia, Pakistan and Tanzania. In Bolivia thirteen percent of
adult women cannot read and write, compared to just 5% of men, but there... Show more content on

However, the rate of transition to secondary school is extremely low: just 32% in 2008, compared to
40% for boys. The proportion of girls completing a full secondary education was a drastically low
0.8% in 2010. Almost 1.2 million adolescent girls are out of school. The pattern is repeated for
women in adult and non formal education, with only 55% making it to mainstream school. In
another macro perspective all these countries have in common is that they are low developed
countries and developing countries which means either working class or middle class and they don
t have the enough money for education. These countries don t have the money to educate everyone
even when they decide to educate people they going to educate the men s because they are believed
to be the more dominant gender.
Now I m going to be talking about my second article and in this paragraph discusses about the
taboo and the negative stereotype that western society has on Islamic women and how they are
treated in their society. The perceptions we have developed is routed from the rules and
regulations places on women in Afghanistan among Taliban. This restriction that western society
sees it as is primarily focused on the dress code placed on women for example required to wear a
burqa and preventing them from going to school. To westernized culture, this restriction is seen as a
discouragement to women and shows signs of oppression on

Disadvantages Of Medical Tourism
Medical Tourism is used to represent obtaining medical or surgical services while travelling or
vacationing in another country. Medical tourism is a form of health tourism generally referring to
the travel of people to another country with the objective of obtaining medical treatment in that
country. Medical Tourism, which is defined as movements of people travelling to another country
for medical treatment (Keckley Underwood, 2008) is continuing to be a growing global industry.
Turner (2007) suggested that due to globalization number of patients is increasing due to
reductions in health benefits offered by states and employers for affordable medical care. Herick

There are many triggering factors for medical tourism. Cost benefit is one of the reasons (Burkett,

costs are also play an important role (Connell,2006).Similarly popular tourism country also have an

Taking a Look at Bacterial Gastroenteritis
1.The diagnosis is bacterial gastroenteritis, commonly known as food poisoning or the stomach flu .
Gastroenteritis is inflammation and swelling of the gastrointestinal track. Gastroenteritis can
usually caused by ingesting food contaminated with some bacteria. Furthermore, some common
causes of gastroenteritis include, shigella infection, cholera, and salmonella infection. There are
many symptoms of gastroenteritis, including diarrhea, nausea, abdominal pain and vomiting
(Guerrant, Bobak, 1991). In addition, vomiting and diarrhea can cause dehydration, and children
are likely to get dehydrated more quickly. Thus, it is crucial to look for the signs of dehydration,
such as dry mouth, dry skin and decreased urine output. The doctor initiates the diagnosis by
performing a abdominal or rectal examination in order to eliminate the possibilities of pelvic
abscesses and inflammatory bowel disease (Guerrant, Bobak, 1991). In addition, the doctor uses a
stool culture to determine what bacteriaare responsible for causing the gastroenteritis (Guerrant,
Bobak, 1991).
2.The organism responsible for this disease is a strain of E.coli called E.coli 0157:H7. E.coli is a
gram negative rod that inhabit the human gastrointestinal track and mostly harmless. However, the
strain 0157 can produce powerful toxins that can lead to severe cases of food poisoning (Gould,
2010). The bacteria were first identified as a cause of foodborne illness in 1982 when an outbreak of

Factors Of The Aging Pilot
The Aging Pilot Over the past years, the average age of pilots has been slowly increasing with
Airline Transport Pilots specifically having the most of their pilots being age 50 or older (refer
to Appendices A and B). Considering how aging affects every physiological system that a pilot
depends on to fly safely, and with the increasing age statistic, the question of how a person s age
affects his or her ability to fly must be asked. Therefore, when looking at studies researching the
effect of age on piloting skills, one can see that there is a distinguished effect caused by age on
piloting skill and that the said effect can be reduced or eliminated with appropriate training or
piloting experience.
The Effects of Aging on Piloting Skills To first understand how aging effects piloting skills, one
must understand how aging affects the physiological systems and skills that all pilots depend upon.
Simply put, the accuracy of vision, hearing, and memory tends to decrease with age (AOPA Air
Safety Institute).
Vision
Of the factors people experience with their vision while they age, a narrowing visual field, less
accurate distant and near vision, the inability for the eyes to focus quickly, and degrading night
vision are some of the more common factors that pilots experience (AOPA Air Safety Institute).
When placed into a practical experiment that was reported in the Aviation, Space, and
Environmental Medicine journal, it was found that older pilots older pilots may have had

The Toursim Industry in South Africa
The tourism industry is a vast growing trade that in recent years has seen a significant increase in its
contribution to the GDP (Gross Domestic Product) of various respective countries. South Africa is
one of the countries that have witnessed tremendous growth in its tourism industry. As much as such
development is a very welcomed phenomenon for any country, growth and development is limited
by a number of constraints. Of importance to this particular study is the issue of seasonality in the
tourismindustry.
Seasonality is defined as the fluctuation of situations that has a direct effect on one or more
variables. (McCarthy 1994:275).According to an article by strathprints journals (www.stathprints
/journals, 25 April) seasonality in tourism has traditionally been regarded as a major problem
which needs to be overcome, but relatively little research has been conducted on the patterns or
causes of this phenomenon.
The question this study aims to unfold is:
What effect does the seasonal nature of the tourism industry have on the providers of components
of the tourism industry, as well as on unemployment in Mbombela?
The aims and objectives of the study are:
To investigate the negative effects seasonality has on the tourism industry in Mbombela.
To highlight the differences in the rates of employment associated with different points within the
seasonal cycle.
To highlight the internal changes enforced by service providers in the tourism industry as a result of

Portability Of The Electrical Hardware Housing Structure...
Portability
Many properties of our prototype contributed to its portability. The electrical hardware housing
structure for our prototype measured in at 7.375 x 6.375 x 5.000 , which allowed for a small yet
fully functional device. These relatively small dimensions allowed us to easily transport our
prototype without concern of having to make accommodations for its size. Our prototype was
composed of simple PVC plastic sheets. We cut these sheets to the desired dimensions and attached
them using bent aluminum sheet metal. We used 6 32 threaded nuts and bolts to fasten the metal
angle brackets to the PVC sheets. This combination of materials and fasteners used to create the
housing structure for our electrical components made for a strong, yet lightweight prototype. This
strength allowed for our structure to be free standing and added a component of durability without
adding to the size or weight significantly. Also, this housing structure contained all of our wires and
components meaning that there were no extraneous pieces protruding from the structure. This
uniform structure kept components from getting snagged by outside materials during transport. By
producing the prototype from these materials at the given dimensions, we were able to create a
prototype structure that displayed durability, strength, and functionality while remaining quite
portable.

Offshoring and Outsourcing Term Paper
Term Paper The debate of outsourcing or offshoring American jobs rather than utilizing our
unemployed citizens has been a highly controversial topic in the past decade. Outsourcing has
many advantages to business firms such as lower production costs, lower labor costs, improved
quality of work, more time to focus on domestic operations, and increased profits which help
stimulate our economy. The opposing view argues that by outsourcingjobs to other countries it is
causing higher unemployment in America and stimulating the economies of other nations rather
than our own by providing them with jobs, resources, facilities and capital. Though there will never

Companies can now manage foreign partners in any country with use of the internet, webcams,
phone conferences, and even the ability to control and monitor finances, bookkeeping, and other
operations from computers at the offices here in America. Another trend America has seen over
the past few decades is the shift from manufacturing to services. With the ability to outsource
production jobs the American economy has been much more focused on service careers, which
are something that can be outsourced to serve foreign customers but will always have a place in
the American marketplace since services must be consumed at purchase, meaning to serve
American customers the service providers must operate within US borders. The ease of
offshoring and the benefits it provides makes the idea of global expansion very attractive, but
there are still aspects of offshoring that make the concept undesirable to others. There is large
opposition to the idea of outsourcing jobs to foreign countries when there is such a high level of
unemployment here in America. By 2015 the number of American jobs expected to be lost to
outsourcing since 2000 is 3.3 million according to a recent report by Forrester Research (

Marketing Analysis Of Sony Playstation 3
Introduction
I chose to conduct a marketing analysis on the Sony PlayStation 3 because it is a product that I
am very familiar with. I have been a PlayStation consumer since 1994 when the first PlayStation
was established. Therefore, since I am a frequent consumer of this product, I have gained some
knowledge of this product over time. When an individual is a frequent consumer of a certain
product, the consumer will eventually become aware or at least have some knowledge of the
marketing mix of that product. However, besides from being a dedicated consumer, I was also
involved in selling this product as a sales associate and this gave me some insight on the marketing
mix of this product. As a sales associate, I also received some training from marketers from the
Sony Corporation on how to position the PlayStation 3 in an electronics store. Furthermore, I feel
knowledgeable about this product due to the exposure that I have had with it.

Reasons For Imperialism
According to the textbook, World History: Modern Times by Glencoe. Imperialism is said to be
extension of a nations power over other lands (page 430). The power included control of politics,
economy, and culture life of other countries. Imperialism was global and was controlled by France,
Britian, and the United States. Over time other countries became a part of imperialistic rule. There
are four forms of imperial rule that included: colonies, protectorates, spheres of influence, and
economic imperialism. Colonies were in categories by two different kinds; direct rule and indirect
rule. Direct rule meant that officials from France were sent to be in charge of the colonies. Indirect
rule meant that rulers from that area were in charge.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
For example, Britan saw India as a great source of raw materials because of their canal that made
transporting materials easy and made trade of textiles inexpensive. Being able to get raw
materials and cheap labor from countries who were poor became the drive for imperialism.
Another motivation for imperialism was an effort for countries in power to gain more power
over other European countries. They also wanted to gain more land and they did not stop at
using their military force to get what they wanted! Also imperialism was motivated by moral
benefits. The ruling countries believed they were the superior race because they were white and
everyone else was considered primitive . For example, in the 1850 s the British mistreated Indian
soldiers and this led to a war. The ruling countries also considered it their job to civilize people in
other parts of the world. An example can be seen in the fact that many Indians were impressed by
the British and learned English and actually condemned some tradtions held by the Indians like child

Don t let the stainless steel tableware sit with water on it in a draining rack. It should always be
dried off immediately to prevent it from rusting. Use a clean, soft cloth for this. After all the
tableware is dried, it has to be polished. Since most polishes are toxic, it helps to use a food product
like olive oil for this. Simply dip another soft cloth in a bit of the oil, and rub it all over the metal.

and work contexts. Lloyd et al (2011) cited in Jansen Roodt (2014). It is with this context in mind

Although the Constitution requires the Texas Legislature to revise, digest, and publish the state
laws, the Texas Legislature does not often do it.
The Texas court system has two types of courts. Texas has trial courts and appellate courts. A trial
court has witnesses, exhibits are used as evidence, and a jury comes up with the verdict based on
the facts of the case. One judge is allowed in this type of trial. These courts are the most common,
and are the ones people are used to seeing and hearing about. Trial courts consists of the municipal
courts, justice of the peace courts, district courts, constitutional county courts, and statutory county
courts. However, some have different jurisdictions than the rest.
There is such a thing as limited jurisdiction and general jurisdiction. There are reasons courts have
different jurisdictions and soon we will see why.
There are over 1,325 municipal courts in the state of Texas, these are courts with limited

The geography of the two civilizations are similar because a river plays an important part in their way of living. They are different because Mesopotamia is divided into regions. The governments of the two countries have large differences. The advances in technology and science were relatively similar as well because both countries invented writing systems and irrigation systems. The objects can signify how disorderly and imperfect they both are, but are known to be these perfect people because they re really good at what they do. An Analysis of Wilbur s Mayflies Essay An Analysis of Wilbur s Mayflies Richard Wilbur s recent poem Mayflies reminds us that the American Romantic tradition that Robert Frost most famously brought into the 20th century has made it safely into the 21st. Like many of Frost s short lyric poems, Mayflies describes one person s encounter with an ordinary but easily overlooked piece of nature in this case, a cloud of mayflies spotted in a sombre forest (l.1) rising over unseen pools (l.2), made surprisingly attractive and meaningful by the speaker s special scrutiny of it. More surprising yet, though surely emblems of the ephemeral (of the order ephemeroptera), they suggest by their choreographed life an interconnectivity in nature that transcends an individual?s mortality. Indeed, in the third and final stanza they become a foil for the speaker?s own sense of ?separateness? and mortality ?as night close[s] in?(l.18). At a literal level the poem all along insists on the speaker?s separation, as ?witness?(l. 9), from this ?manifold/ And figured scene?(ll. 13 14). To see the dance so well, he has had to be stationed outside it. This exclusion, it would seem, is the poet?s classic occupational hazard. Yet this darker revelation is quickly eclipsed by one last happy irony, a revelation of sorts: the poem so artfully represents it subject, its conspicuous ingenuities of form so undulate and glitter like the mist of mayflies, that the poem itself becomes the mayflies?or means to come as close as language can take it. As a special way of seeing, the poem means to breech the gulf between seer and thing seen and thus forge a connection to the object world, the speaker?s own absence from which he ostensibly laments. That this attempt is successful seems implicit in the last lines of the poem. There, it occurs to the speaker that his sense of separateness and mortality can be allayed by the idea that he has been ?called? to be a poetic seer, ?one whose task is joyfully to see/ How fair ... For years people have pondered about the true theme and concealed symbols in the end of this Newbery Medal science fiction book. In this novel, Lois Lowry uses several literary devices such as imagery to send the message that hope can pull a person through their gravest of times while using specific diction and anaphoras to show a more in depth meaning in chapter twenty three and to express the voice at the end of this literary work. To begin with, Jonas used all the mental and physical strength he had to ride on the sled to Elsewhere towards a brighter, better future to complete the mission the Giver created with him. His actions in the end of the book show that his hope was strong enough to get Gabe to Elsewhere, where the memories should have been released to all the citizens in the Community. But somewhere ahead, through the blinding storm, he knew there was warmth and light. and The hill was steep but the snow was powdery and soft, and he knew that this time there would be no ice, no fall, no pain. Gastroenteritis is inflammation and swelling of the gastrointestinal track. Gastroenteritis can usually caused by ingesting food contaminated with some bacteria. Furthermore, some common causes of gastroenteritis include, shigella infection, cholera, and salmonella infection. There are many symptoms of gastroenteritis, including diarrhea, nausea, abdominal pain and vomiting (Guerrant, Bobak, 1991). In addition, vomiting and diarrhea can cause dehydration, and children are likely to get dehydrated more quickly. Thus, it is crucial to look for the signs of dehydration, such as dry mouth, dry skin and decreased urine output. The doctor initiates the diagnosis by performing a abdominal or rectal examination in order to eliminate the possibilities of pelvic abscesses and inflammatory bowel disease (Guerrant, Bobak, 1991). In addition, the doctor uses a stool culture to determine what bacteriaare responsible for causing the gastroenteritis (Guerrant, Bobak, 1991). 2.The organism responsible for this disease is a strain of E.coli called E.coli 0157:H7. E.coli is a gram negative rod that inhabit the human gastrointestinal track and mostly harmless. • 27. Factors Of The Aging Pilot The Aging Pilot Over the past years, the average age of pilots has been slowly increasing with Airline Transport Pilots specifically having the most of their pilots being age 50 or older (refer to Appendices A and B). Considering how aging affects every physiological system that a pilot depends on to fly safely, and with the increasing age statistic, the question of how a person s age affects his or her ability to fly must be asked. Therefore, when looking at studies researching the effect of age on piloting skills, one can see that there is a distinguished effect caused by age on piloting skill and that the said effect can be reduced or eliminated with appropriate training or piloting experience. The Effects of Aging on Piloting Skills To first understand how aging effects piloting skills, one must understand how aging affects the physiological systems and skills that all pilots depend upon. Simply put, the accuracy of vision, hearing, and memory tends to decrease with age (AOPA Air Safety Institute). Vision Of the factors people experience with their vision while they age, a narrowing visual field, less accurate distant and near vision, the inability for the eyes to focus quickly, and degrading night vision are some of the more common factors that pilots experience (AOPA Air Safety Institute). The electrical hardware housing structure for our prototype measured in at 7.375 x 6.375 x 5.000 , which allowed for a small yet fully functional device. These relatively small dimensions allowed us to easily transport our prototype without concern of having to make accommodations for its size. Our prototype was composed of simple PVC plastic sheets. We cut these sheets to the desired dimensions and attached them using bent aluminum sheet metal. We used 6 32 threaded nuts and bolts to fasten the metal angle brackets to the PVC sheets. This combination of materials and fasteners used to create the housing structure for our electrical components made for a strong, yet lightweight prototype. This strength allowed for our structure to be free standing and added a component of durability without adding to the size or weight significantly. Also, this housing structure contained all of our wires and components meaning that there were no extraneous pieces protruding from the structure. This uniform structure kept components from getting snagged by outside materials during transport. By producing the prototype from these materials at the given dimensions, we were able to create a prototype structure that displayed durability, strength, and functionality while remaining quite portable. With the ability to outsource production jobs the American economy has been much more focused on service careers, which are something that can be outsourced to serve foreign customers but will always have a place in the American marketplace since services must be consumed at purchase, meaning to serve American customers the service providers must operate within US borders.
