- 2. Introduction The term "media type" in the context of a web portal usually refers to the type of content that a web page or resource contains. It's also known as the "MIME type" (Multipurpose Internet Mail Extensions type) and is used to indicate the nature and format of a document, allowing web browsers and other software to handle the content appropriately. Common media types include "text/html" for HTML web pages, "image/jpeg" for JPEG images, "application/pdf" for PDF documents, and many others. Media types are specified in the HTTP header of web responses to ensure that browsers and other user agents can interpret and display the content correctly.
- 3. 1) Print Media Anything that is printed on paper with the purpose of sharing with people is termed as print Media. It is the oldest type of media. Examples- Newspaper, journals,magazins,books
- 5. 2) Broadcast Media broadcasting is the airing of audio and video to the public. It is nothing but to send out or transmit something such as a program by means of radio or television or by streaming over internet. Examples – Radio, television, internet.
- 7. 3) Internet Internet Media is means of communicating using the internet. This can include personal communication with text, images,links, videos and voice. It also includes commercial communication such as digital advertising and business communication such as online collaboration.
- 9. 4)Out of home Out of home media include outdoor advertising . It is the place based media.

Print media is dependable but not so interactive, while digital media is fast and interactive but can be less reliable. Balancing these aspects is key in harnessing the full potential of media for communication, education, and entertainment.
