Huckleberry Finn extravagantly plans a crime scene to fake his death. Finn s abusive father

serious concerns of gender discrimination, which invite a critical sociological theory. Whether or
not women contribute to the stability of the society is the main question this movie seeks to answer.
I chose the functionalism perspective (otherwise known as the functionalist perspective). Emile
Durkheim formulated the theory after taking interest in how the society remains stable or how
social order is achieved. In other words, the theory is concerned with the macro level society.
Functionalism looks at each segment of the society in terms of its contributions to the overall good
