The Effects Of Chartist Gained Support On Economic Conditions
There is evidence within the extract to support each explanation of how chartism gained support,
however a reactions to economic conditions was stressed more by the speaker. This could of
been due to people believing this to be the most important part of chartism and related to it more.
Many people but not all, also believed that being part of the political movement would help to
resolve the economic condition, while also being part of a community in a time were social
exclusion was a major part of society.
The economic conditions was a major part in gaining support in chartism. Chartist reached out to
the working class people who were struggling within society. The poor law and tax increases was
making it harder for the working class people to survive, this lead to poverty and people entering
the workhouse. Another factor was the poor working conditions and low wages that were causing
ill heath. Evidence within the article to support how chartist gained support is with this nation
suffering its liberty and rights to be remorselessly trampled upon by murderous factions, jobbers
and commercial blood sucking vampires This is a sticking statement of how the middle class
employers were seen as a higher class of people, who were exploiting the working class. Another
point to make it that chartist struggled to gain support in agricultural places and that most of the
support came form industrial cities were the population was higher. A reference to this is seen in a

Dtl s Power Grid Analysis
The potential impact of a breach to DTL s power grid can significantly affect not just the 5.4 million
customers, but can have cascading effects across to the other sectors. The electric grid has many
interdependencies with the other sectors that link corporate systems together, providing access to
customers, suppliers, and other entities (Zhen, 2013). The threat is goes beyond the proprietary
information and other sensitive information contained in the corporate systems, there is also the
threat to the control systems that are tied in to these networks. Besides the immediate impact to

Part A How Joey s behavior is disruptive. He constantly talks out of turn, loudly, and off topic. His
behavior constantly interrupts the lesson. He might cause the class to go off topic. He is also
disrespectful to the teacher and other students. In the classroom, the goal of the teacher is to ensure
all the students learn and have an equal opportunity to interact with the teacher. To accomplish it,
harmony in communication is essential. However, because he talks out of turn, he prevents other
students from sharing. Moreover, he mostly veers off the topic, which might cause the teacher to

Climate Change And Ocean Temperature
The real life application that comes out from this experiment relates to the climate change and the
ocean temperature. Ocean holds great capacity of carbon dioxide. When the temperature in the
environment boosts due to global warming, the ability for the ocean to hold carbon dioxide directly
determines the amount of carbon dioxidereleased into the atmosphere. Since carbon dioxide itself
allows to absorb great quantity of infrared radiation, so glaciers, ice caps and snow on the top of
the mountain will melt due to greenhouse effect. Progressively in level of water negatively affect
the human life because countries like Jordan, Israel, and Syria which are all 200 400 metres below
the sea level might encounter flooding and results in death in the society.
Solubility is the ability for solid, liquid or gaseous to dissolve in another solid, liquid or gaseous.
The solubility of a substance mainly depends on the temperature, pressure, and the pH of the
solution. It is measured based on the saturation concentration. Therefore, by adding one addition
amount of solute may cause the solution to form precipitation on the excess amount of solute. In
pressure, the higher the pressure, the higher the solubility. This is because the pressure applied
would push the solute into the solvent, so that there is more solute trap inside the solvent. Since the
pressure is applied, so the solute would not escape. However, in temperature, the solubility
decreases, as temperature increases. This is

Nature vs Nurture Essay
Nature vs Nurture
Most of us have an intuition that, although our genes provide advantages and constraints, we retain
great control over our lives. However, we are developing a second, competing intuition that, like it
or not, our genes determine our abilities, our preferences, and our emotions. We would like to think
we are much more than the sum of our genes, but scientists have apparently demonstrated that our
genes determine some of our most complex behavioral and cognitive characteristics.
The focus on genes as the primary mode of biological explanation has been especially clear in the
marketing of the Human Genome Project. In support of this project, Robert L. Sinsheimer, biologist

1987), and alcoholism (Gelernter et al. 1991). Authors of two studies claiming to have found a gene
for manic depression (in two different places), have both published retractions of their conclusions
(Barron et al. 1993, Kelsoe et al. 1989), unusual and embarrassing events among scientists. Research
in linking genes to complex human mental and behavioral characteristics has been tremendously
successful in molding public opinion, in he absence of much lasting scientific evidence.
The relationship between a gene and a human behaviour is rarely, if ever, a one to one
correspondence, even though disruption of a single gene occasionally has a dramatic effect on
behaviour. Nor can one quantify the contribution of genes as a whole to any particular behavior or
cognitive ability. Instead, each gene is a single player in an intricate story, involving non additive
interactions of genes, proteins, hormones, food and life experiences, thus leading to effects one
variety of cognitive and behavioural functions. Our thoughts, emotions, and behaviors certainly
have biological mechanisms, but this does not mean we can separate and quantify the genetic
contributions to these processes.

The Importance Of Evil Deeds In Macbeth
Macbeth is a play about a brave and courageous Scottish general who receives three prophecies
from a trio of witches, one of which being that Macbeth shalt be king (1.3.53). Upon receiving
these prophecies, Macbeth becomes plagued by his ambition and his lust for power, and he allows
himself to be spurred to action by Lady Macbeth, his wife. So he decides to murder his king and
take the throne for himself. Afterward, throughout the rest of the play, he is forced to deal with
the fallout and repercussions that come as a result of committing regicide. In the play Macbeth,
Shakespeare develops the idea that evil deeds lead to more evil deeds as one s humanity begins
to slowly deteriorate. This ties back to Macbeth s character, as for each evil deed he commits, he
falls further and further from sanity and slips deeper into a mental state of fear, paranoia, anger,
and hatred. The first evil deed is always the most difficult to commit, and this is no exception to
Macbeth, which is made clear when he takes an entire act of talking himself into and out of the
murder, and needs the persuasion of his wife to actually follow through with it. After the witches
predict his reign as king, Macbeth was afflicted with many dark thoughts and his true ambitious
desires came to light. He pictured himself murdering King Duncan, but Macbeth did everything he
could to fight those dark thoughts. This was made clear by Macbeth consistently refusing to think
about killing Duncan, to the point that

Agamemnon And Achilles Essay
You Reap What You Sow: Honor Received from Hard Work as a Value of the Heroic Outlook on
Life in Homer s The Iliad
The Iliad, by Homer, is an epic poem set in the era of the Trojan War, accounting the battle logs
during the time of conflict between Agamemnon and Achilles, the text s tragic protagonist. The
heroic outlook on life, in Iliadic terms, is exemplified through the construction of one s honor
through hard work. Being an aspect of the heroic outlook of life, this value is demonstrated through
his contribution and dedication to the Trojan War, his experience with neglect from the deities,
Achilles overall disdain towards Agamemnon, and, lastly, his longingness towards Briseis, his dear
lover.
Honor can be demonstrated as a ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The reason why Achilles honor is determined by Zeus is because Achilles feels that since he has a
short lifespan, Zeus should give him honor to make his contributions during the war in a short
period of time worthwhile. However, Achilles is currently neglected by Zeus as the God of Gods
gives the Swift Runner nothing , after all his achievements made during the war, feeling mistreated
and denied of honor as the best of Achaeans , the hero of the Argives. This implies how Achilles, as
a hero, values his achievements and contributions as something worthy of honor, building blocks
that constructs his honor not only among men but also the gods. In short, having the deities
blessing honor onto a hero is a extravagant recognition to them, meaning that the hard work the
hero puts in is greatly appreciated and honored, even by the gods, therefore considered a heroic
outlook on life.
Referring to the first claim once again, Achilles overall disdain towards Agamemnon shows how
unheroic characters tend to be the opposite, solidifying the idea that a hero should be contributing
with their hard work to gain honor. Achilles describes Agamemnon s contribution to the war to be
minimal, seeing the Lord of Men skulking behind the lines, /safe in his fast ships (Il.9.402 03;
Fagles 262). While Agamemnon s contribution is meek, he is the one who would take it all,

The British Army gave long haul backing to the Spanish rebelliousness in the Peninsular War of
1808 1814. Secured by geology, helped by huge Spanish guerrilla movement, and in some cases
falling back to monstrous earthworks (The Lines of Torres Vedras), Anglo Portuguese powers
succeeded in pestering French troops for quite a long while. By 1815, the British Army would
assume the focal part in the last thrashing of Napoleon at Waterloo.
The Treaty of Amiens (25 March 1802) brought about peace between the UK and France, however

Directors: The person who is responsible for the conduct of business activities of an enterprise is
usually referred to as the Director of a company. They are also known as the Managers of the
entity and are elected by the shareholders during the members meeting. Once elected, the list of
directors need to be lodged with ASIC. Often the director is seen as the face of the company and is
synonymous with its brand value. The main role of the director is two fold:
a) To exercise control over how a company functions and
b) Must conduct his activities in good faith and in the best interests of the company.
Apart from ensuring that the strategies formulated at the top level are carried out and
communicated effectively to the other levels of management, the Managers have to make sure that:
a) Profit maximization objective is of top priority.
b) A balance is struck between the stakeholders interest and companies obligations.
In short, the director Links the Company with Outside Stakeholders .

Resources should be well balanced so if the resources are not needed they shouldn t been used.
Prioritisation The company should prioritize some of the aspect when performing repair as they
might be more important and they should be repaired first. For example if network is down and
at the same time printer is not working. The person that perform repair should concentrate on
repairing network instead of printer as without network printer would be useless. Contractual
Requirements In a company, the support team staff would be required to work shifts that will
provide coverage for the employees when the offices are officially opened, they will also need
to provide extra time in the evening and weekends, where they will carry out the essential
maintenance which may have to involve some downtime. The hours that an employee will have
to work will be set out for them in what is called an employment contract. They will be limited
by the EU legislation and some other regulations such as working time regulations, which will
provide the basic right and protections such as: A worker can be required to work at most an
average of 48 hours a week (though workers can choose to work more if they want to). For night
workers there is a limit of an average of 8 hours worked in 24. Night workers are entitled to receive

Abstract: Software architecture is important because of communication among stakeholders, Design
decisions for understanding software, transferable design of a system. Software architecture
represents a common design of a system that most if not all of the system s stakeholders can use as
a basis for mutual understanding, negotiation, agreement, and communication. Software
architecture manifests the earliest design decisions about a system, and these early bindings carry
weight .It is also the earliest point at which design decisions governing the system to be built can be
analyzed. Software architecture constitutes a relatively small, intellectually understandable model
for how a system is structured and how its elements work together, and this model is transferable
across systems. There are different types of architectural styles: Distributed architecture, data flow
architecture, implicit asynchronous architecture, data centered architecture, hierarchical
architecture and interaction oriented architecture. This paper compares all the architectural styles
and aspects of comparison are category, styles, advantages, disadvantages, examples.

their framework can be used for internal audits. This will guide companies in a direction which will

Is It Better For Fix Or Float Interest Rates On The...
Is it better to fix or float interest rates in the current economic environment? This is the question
now facing Marcus Garvey who is planning to buy his first home in October of this year. Making
the right decision on whether to fix or float interest rates on a mortgage and for what period could
be the difference of thousands paid to the bank in additional interest. To assist Marcus in this
decision, this essay has looked at many variables. Firstly, and most importantly, what interest rates
are expected to do in the short term future? Secondly, what are the advantages and disadvantages
of both fixed and floating loans and how these will affect Marcus based on the information we
know about him. We also look at the unknowns of Marcus s situation that may lead to an
alteration in recommendation. Thirdly we will look at how long of a fixed period would be
recommended to have the most economic benefit for Marcus if he decides to go with this option.
Based on the information given on Marcus, and what we have learnt about the current environment,
it is decided to recommend that Marcus either fix his whole mortgage, or fix the majority while
leaving a small portion floating. There are many variables that must be considered when deciding
to fix or float and not knowing Marcus situation in relation to these variables, this would be the
safest option.

Sealed Air was faced with two different options regarding the prospective launch of an uncoated

As with all the evaluation of all new product market entry strategies, Sealed Air must first consider
its organizational strengths and how they relate to the potential product launch. More specifically,
Sealed Air must be cognizant of their widely respected brand of high quality and superior

When looking at what an athlete does to earn this huge paycheck, we see that all they truly do is
swing a bat or catch a ball. This is an insane amount of money to be making in just a year. You can
take this amount and compare it to someone that is fighting a fire and saving a life. There is not
even a close relation to those numbers. Without fire fighters, we probably would lose half of our
country in the substantial wild fires that sweep our nation. As it is stated in the article, Are Pro
Athletes Paid Too Much? , their salary is only about $47,000. Fire fighters risk their lives to ensure

coming to the surface here is that there are many other professions in modern day society that
deserve the payment that Mr. James is earning in a year. Look at the hospitals that help the
citizens of our country. We have nurses that sometimes work 24 hour shifts and work tirelessly
to help others. This is just another piece of evidence that proves there are harder working people

It gives a lovely light.
My life is a journey of discovery, traveled in repeating cycles of dreams and mindfulness, joy and
sadness, hope and despair it has been a series of stories, some bright and some dark, yet all filled

At times, I ve become lost along the way so lost I d forgotten who I really am, but sometimes the

Who am I? I m many things, and as I travel along my life s journey of discovery I m able to add to

Dumb Blonde Stereotypes
Lastly, one of the most common or everyday recurring stereotypes around the world is a woman s
delicateness and feebleness. The generic vulnerability of women has become a seemingly
meaningless attribute to our society, spurring jokes and objects of ridicule. Being seen as feminine
is still an issue in our society. To many it is belittling and insulting to be called feminine, which
enforces the stereotype even more if you already are a female(Greenwood, Ambivalent Sexismand

The Street By Ann Petry Essay
Ann Petry s novel The Street (1946) is a commentary on the social injustices that confronted the
protagonist Lutie Johnson. Lutie is a single African American mother who lives in segregated
America during the 1940 s. Throughout the novel, we see that during this time period Lutie is
confronted by racism, sexism, and classism on a daily basis while in her pursuit of the American
Dream for herself and her son Bub. Lutie is convinced that if she follows the example of Benjamin
Franklin, by working hard and saving wisely, she will be able to achieve the dream of being
financially independent and therefore be able to move out from the Street in which she is confined
to. Benjamin Franklin is embodied in the text through the character Junto. It is Junto that is
supposed to get Lutie closer towards her dream. However, Junto, through his secret manipulations
tries to possess Lutie sexually, ultimately leading Lutie towards her path of destruction and she ends
up committing the murder of Junto s henchman, Boots. Junto represents the writer Petry s deep
disillusionment with this cultural myth of the so called American dream. In Richard Wright s
novel Native Son (1940), The protagonist Bigger Thomas, is a 20 year old African Americanyouth
who grew up in segregated America during the 1930s. Throughout this novel, we see Bigger also
striving towards the pursuit of the American Dream. Bigger risks everything to not compromise his
pursuit towards success. Unfortunately, he ends up falling

The Setting Up More Of Victoria s Ordinary World
The opening sets the tone, but consider setting up more of Victoria s ordinary world. Make the
point that her philosophy of therapy is different than her husband, but then move on.
An alternative to consider is to make Victoria the opposite. She believes that therapy can only help
a patient go so far, and that she advocates for medication.
This would give her a stronger character arc, as she realizes her own philosophy about treatment
changes.
Consider making the goal more specific and focus on one major patient. Create the story of the
imaginary friend to be more compelling and mysterious. So, if the goal is to help Donald, make
his story more captivating and stay focused on this story. Make it more suspenseful and peel away
the mystery. Try to create a twist.
Consider moving up what Slice says, Dead spirits walkin around don t make no sense unless you
feel what they re after. They want something. This seems to be what Victoria needs to figure out
(the goal) from Donald or her client (kids).
Clearly identify what is at stake for Victoria. If she s not able to help her client her career will be
ruined. Don t be overly dramatic about, but make it clear. Perhaps her client comes from a wealthy
family and warns her if she damages the client, she ll never work again.
If the major mystery has a twist ending, make sure to put Victoria in jeopardy. While her sanity is
in jeopardy, in most thrillers, the climax involves a physical danger to the hero. So if she unravels a

Comparison Of Two Investment Theories Applied Within...
The comparison of two investment theories applied within financial markets
Over time there have been many different theories applied to financial markets which attempt to
explain the changes of stock prices and the different trends over time. Investors would often debate
whether or not the market is efficient. Put simply, whether or not the market is a reflection of the
information made available to the investor at any time. One such theory that attempts to explain the
movements and trends of a market is the Efficient Market Hypothesis (EMH). This particular
theory was advocated by Professor Eugene Fama back in 1970 and is regarded as the most
widely used investment theory. The EMH states that the stock market is informationally efficient
where all stocks are accurately priced based on their investment properties and all investors
equally possess the knowledge of these properties. The EMH also states that no investor within
the market is able to achieve incredible market returns due to the fact that stocks are always
priced at their fair value. However, considering the likes of Warren Buffet and his success, this
idea doesn t seem to be true. Therefore, the EMH is considered by many to be fairly inaccurate
theory that shouldn t be applied to financial markets. There can be a lot more said about the EMH
however, this article, as I hope you have noticed by now, is to do with fractals. So now let s look at
an alternative theory that investors may prefer to utilize. This theory

Darwin’s Theory of Natural Selection Versus Creationism Essay
My research of Darwinian evolution has led me to believe that there is little room for spirituality
of any kind in a truly rigorous scientific theory of the origin of life. This is disconcerting, to say the
least. Obviously we have outgrown a strictly creationist lens, but has religion become completely
obsolete? Does spirituality have a real place amongst the scientific tenets of evolutionary theory, or
is it merely a crutch that we lean on? Can God and Darwin co exist?
The constantly mounting collection of evidence for evolution by natural selection is almost
impossible to ignore. However, there is a neo creationist school of thought, called intelligent design,
attempting to modernize the concept of a God to fit the challenge ... Show more content on

Are the gaps in our knowledge of the origin of species large enough to allow for intelligent design?
Despite several inconsistencies, the facts seem inescapably stacked in favor of natural selection.
The fossil record is a good example. Though it is incomplete, the various geographic strata contain a
wealth of extinct organisms which exhibit distinct evolutionary trends. These include
morphological similarities between older species and those that exist today, in both adult and
embryo forms.
The implications of this analysis of the fossil record are not good for creationism. The species that
exist today were not simply placed on Earth in their current condition, but have come to be over
hundreds of millions of years of adaptation. Ernst Mayr states that embryonic similarities,
recapitulation, and vestigial structures raise insurmountable difficulties for a creationist
explanation, but are fully compatible with an evolutionary explanation based on common descent,
variation, and selection. (31) Mayr is unrelenting in his support of evolution by natural selection, as
are the majority of scientists and anthropologists.
Critics of intelligent design argue that any creationist explanation cannot be purely scientific
because it is necessary to consider the likelihood of the existence of a higher Intelligence. In other
words, until it is proven that there is a God, these theories leave something to be desired.

The Goals in Issues of Obamacare
The new health care reform law in America, Obamacare, increases the quality, availability, and
affordability of private and public health insurance to 44 million uninsured. It also is working to
curb the growth in healthcare spending in the U.S. which has been rising at an unsustainable rate.
Obamacare was passed in the senate on December 24, 2009, and passed in the house on March 21,
2010. It was signed into law by President Barack Obamaon March 23, 2010, and upheld in the
supreme court on June 28, 2012. The concept behind Obamacare was the individual mandate, which
requires that most Americans obtain health insuranceby the end of 2014 or they will have to pay a
tax penalty. This concept was first brought about by The Heritage Foundation as an alternative for
the single payer initiative, Medicare . This reform wasn t proposed or expanded until it was
implemented in Massachusetts by Governor Romney. During the 2008 elections, healthcare was a
booming subject for the Democratic party.
The Affordable Care Act includes measures to eliminate pre existing conditions, stop insurance
companies from dropping people when they are sick or unhealthy, expand the Medicaid, and
create state specific health insurance marketplaces to allow those who are in the middle or lower
classes so they can shop for free or low costing insurance. After these several changes, President
Barak Obama signed the Affordable Care Act into law on March 23, 2010. This Affordable Care
Act includes over a

Blood Typing And The Blood Of The Donor Blood
INTRODUCTION:
Blood typing is one of the tests that will determine a person s blood type. Although, all blood is
made of the same basic elements but they are not same by their blood typing. In fact, there are
eight different common blood types. Based on certain substances of antigen presence or absence
and Rh factors we will able to identify the person blood types. Those substances can trigger an
immune response if they are foreign to the body. Blood typing is important when you need a
blood transfusion or planning to have an organ transplant. As we know not all blood types are
compatible due to their antigen and antibodies they have. Since some antigens can react with
person immune system to attack the donor blood, It is very important to know the person s blood
typing and cross matching to ensure that your body doesn t make antibodies to attack the donor
blood or organ. Blood typing is especially important to pregnant mothers when the mother is Rh
and the father has Rh+ and a child born with Rh positive. So, it is important to be an early
cautious in order to avoid reactive consequences. In the medical sector small mistake can take
patient life. In this lab experiment though using the anti A serum, anti B serum, and anti Rh serum,
we were able to identify the blood types of each sample that we had.

Martin Luther King s I Have a Dream speech, and the assassination of John F. Kennedy. Lastly,

The Causes Of Famine
Famine
With food production at an all time high, starvation should be at an all time low, but that is far
from the case. Unfortunately, famine is currently one of the main causes of death in third world
countries. In this essay I will look at the reasons for the famine, the consequences and compare the
ideas of food aid and sustainable livelihoods.
Famine causes malnutrition and death, in 2011, 260 000 people died of famine in Sudan and
Ethiopia. Over half of these were children. (Devi 2017) There is not one cause of famine in third
world countries, but instead multiple factors.
The idea that famine is due to food shortages is false, the world produces more food than we need,
but unfortunately those who need it do not have access to it. ... Show more content on

But if the crop fails, the merchant will be compensated, and receive a high share, while the
farmer will now be in debt. This is due to the sheil system in place. This prevents small farmers
from receiving money if their crop fails. This system is unfair as the sheil merchant sets the
amount of interest, so they will receive money either way, unlike the farmers who will only
receive a small amount if their crop is successful. (Lennart Olsson 1993) This contributed to the
famine as farmers are often in debt as many crops fail due to the drought. They then cannot afford
to by food for their family.
Food aid has become an important part to help the famine in third world countries.
But unfortunately, there is evidence to show that the food aid needs improvement.
A few of the problems said to be from food aid is that the is a) not enough, b) unevenly distributed
or c) is from the donors market.
In 2007 Sudan had a food aid shortfall of $120 million US dollars. (Wahlberg 2008) Because of
this the WFP had to cut food rations and send the aid to smaller areas. This leads into the next

What Is Graph Theoretical Analysis
1.3.4. Introduction to graph theoretical analysis. The case of brain perfusion SPECT.
In the field of quantitative neuroimaging, graph theoretical analysis is one of the methods to
study brain connectivity [93 95, 100, 101]. A key concept of this method is the notion of
topology. This concept can be illustrated with a simple idea which is used when we travel in the
subway of any large city. In figure 3 two maps of the London subway appear, the first map shows
a precise spatial description of the railways (or lines) through which trains travel (i.e., the subway
topography), whereas the second one is only concerned with the relative locations of subway
stations and connecting lines (i.e., the subway topology). These two maps do not coincide with
regards to the relative position of the stations, neither in the distances nor in the location of the
lines. However, the topological map simplifies the problem for the traveler. For example, two
stations may be physically (topographically) ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
By simply inspecting the topological maps, it is not easy to know if one subway is better
organized than the other (e.g., subway efficiency). One way to simplify this problem is to use
metrics that quantify or analyze the subway network using graph theory [94, 101]. Hence the name
of graph theoretical analysis.
A first aspect to measure could be how easy it is to travel between any two stations (e.g. the
number of stations on average, between the start and end of the trip). This aspect is relevant,
especially if the traveler wants to visit different parts of the city on the same day. This example
illustrates the concept of global efficiency of a graph [94, 101]. The metric of global efficiency is a
way to quantify the global connectivity (integration) of the network. In this example, it is assumed
that the number of stations (nodes) and lines (connectors) are the same in the two subways that are

The Great Outdoors
O Is for the Great Outdoors
In my opinion, we can sort everyone alive into two categories: outdoor people, and indoor
people. I fall into the latter category; being a pale, unathletic girl, it is difficult to be anything
else. However, despite my genetic averseness to it, I love being outside, soaking in the beauty,
and just enjoying God s creation. There are countless ways to appreciate the great outdoors, even
an AC lover like me can find ways to love it.
One way I have learned to connect with nature is through photography. About a year and a half ago,
I discovered my affinity for photography, and I started seeing the way objects interacted and filled
the negative space. There is a certain satisfaction rewarded when I take a picture and every detail
just falls in line. Nature is art, a photogenic subject waiting to be studied. Be that as it may, taking

Practices take up about 8 hours weekly and, consequently, it is tough to avoid outdoor activity.

My band experience has shown me that in some situations, a semi coerced experience can be as
benefiting as an experience you plan.
In my family, nature is a chosen bonding point. Our vacations do not occur annually, our

Phantom Limb Pain: Characteristics, Mechanisms, Treatments
Phantom limb pain is the onset of pain following amputation of a limb. Stump pain and phantom
sensations are also common versions of this phenomenon. Phantom limb sensation includes any
type of feeling besides pain where a body part is absent and stump pain is specifically located in
the stump. All amputees experience some type of phantom feeling, but for some with severe pain it
can be very difficult to treat. The first person to describe this phenomenon was Ambroise Pare in

The teacher does not have to abandon all of their instructional strategies to use technology in the

Technology allows teachers to provide differentiated instruction to students. While traditional
methods such as lectures and reading the textbook work for some students, these methods do not
take into consideration the individual needs of a student or incorporate multiple learning styles and

Ocean holds great capacity of carbon dioxide. When the temperature in the environment boosts due to global warming, the ability for the ocean to hold carbon dioxide directly determines the amount of carbon dioxidereleased into the atmosphere. Since carbon dioxide itself allows to absorb great quantity of infrared radiation, so glaciers, ice caps and snow on the top of the mountain will melt due to greenhouse effect. Solubility is the ability for solid, liquid or gaseous to dissolve in another solid, liquid or gaseous. The solubility of a substance mainly depends on the temperature, pressure, and the pH of the solution. It is measured based on the saturation concentration. Therefore, by adding one addition amount of solute may cause the solution to form precipitation on the excess amount of solute. In pressure, the higher the pressure, the higher the solubility. This is because the pressure applied would push the solute into the solvent, so that there is more solute trap inside the solvent. Since the pressure is applied, so the solute would not escape. However, we are developing a second, competing intuition that, like it or not, our genes determine our abilities, our preferences, and our emotions. We would like to think we are much more than the sum of our genes, but scientists have apparently demonstrated that our genes determine some of our most complex behavioral and cognitive characteristics. Research in linking genes to complex human mental and behavioral characteristics has been tremendously successful in molding public opinion, in he absence of much lasting scientific evidence. The relationship between a gene and a human behaviour is rarely, if ever, a one to one correspondence, even though disruption of a single gene occasionally has a dramatic effect on behaviour. Nor can one quantify the contribution of genes as a whole to any particular behavior or cognitive ability. Instead, each gene is a single player in an intricate story, involving non additive interactions of genes, proteins, hormones, food and life experiences, thus leading to effects one variety of cognitive and behavioural functions. • 10. The Importance Of Evil Deeds In Macbeth Macbeth is a play about a brave and courageous Scottish general who receives three prophecies from a trio of witches, one of which being that Macbeth shalt be king (1.3.53). Upon receiving these prophecies, Macbeth becomes plagued by his ambition and his lust for power, and he allows himself to be spurred to action by Lady Macbeth, his wife. So he decides to murder his king and take the throne for himself. Afterward, throughout the rest of the play, he is forced to deal with the fallout and repercussions that come as a result of committing regicide. In the play Macbeth, Shakespeare develops the idea that evil deeds lead to more evil deeds as one s humanity begins to slowly deteriorate. This ties back to Macbeth s character, as for each evil deed he commits, he falls further and further from sanity and slips deeper into a mental state of fear, paranoia, anger, and hatred. The first evil deed is always the most difficult to commit, and this is no exception to Macbeth, which is made clear when he takes an entire act of talking himself into and out of the murder, and needs the persuasion of his wife to actually follow through with it. After the witches predict his reign as king, Macbeth was afflicted with many dark thoughts and his true ambitious desires came to light. He pictured himself murdering King Duncan, but Macbeth did everything he could to fight those dark thoughts. This was made clear by Macbeth consistently refusing to think about killing Duncan, to the point that ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The heroic outlook on life, in Iliadic terms, is exemplified through the construction of one s honor through hard work. Being an aspect of the heroic outlook of life, this value is demonstrated through his contribution and dedication to the Trojan War, his experience with neglect from the deities, Achilles overall disdain towards Agamemnon, and, lastly, his longingness towards Briseis, his dear lover. The reason why Achilles honor is determined by Zeus is because Achilles feels that since he has a short lifespan, Zeus should give him honor to make his contributions during the war in a short period of time worthwhile. However, Achilles is currently neglected by Zeus as the God of Gods gives the Swift Runner nothing , after all his achievements made during the war, feeling mistreated and denied of honor as the best of Achaeans , the hero of the Argives. This implies how Achilles, as a hero, values his achievements and contributions as something worthy of honor, building blocks that constructs his honor not only among men but also the gods. In short, having the deities blessing honor onto a hero is a extravagant recognition to them, meaning that the hard work the hero puts in is greatly appreciated and honored, even by the gods, therefore considered a heroic outlook on life. Referring to the first claim once again, Achilles overall disdain towards Agamemnon shows how unheroic characters tend to be the opposite, solidifying the idea that a hero should be contributing with their hard work to gain honor. • 29. The Setting Up More Of Victoria s Ordinary World The opening sets the tone, but consider setting up more of Victoria s ordinary world. Make the point that her philosophy of therapy is different than her husband, but then move on. An alternative to consider is to make Victoria the opposite. She believes that therapy can only help a patient go so far, and that she advocates for medication. This would give her a stronger character arc, as she realizes her own philosophy about treatment changes. Consider making the goal more specific and focus on one major patient. Create the story of the imaginary friend to be more compelling and mysterious. So, if the goal is to help Donald, make his story more captivating and stay focused on this story. Make it more suspenseful and peel away the mystery. Try to create a twist. Consider moving up what Slice says, Dead spirits walkin around don t make no sense unless you feel what they re after. They want something. This seems to be what Victoria needs to figure out (the goal) from Donald or her client (kids). Clearly identify what is at stake for Victoria. If she s not able to help her client her career will be ruined. Don t be overly dramatic about, but make it clear. Perhaps her client comes from a wealthy family and warns her if she damages the client, she ll never work again. If the major mystery has a twist ending, make sure to put Victoria in jeopardy. • 30. Comparison Of Two Investment Theories Applied Within... The comparison of two investment theories applied within financial markets Over time there have been many different theories applied to financial markets which attempt to explain the changes of stock prices and the different trends over time. Investors would often debate whether or not the market is efficient. Put simply, whether or not the market is a reflection of the information made available to the investor at any time. One such theory that attempts to explain the movements and trends of a market is the Efficient Market Hypothesis (EMH). This particular theory was advocated by Professor Eugene Fama back in 1970 and is regarded as the most widely used investment theory. The EMH states that the stock market is informationally efficient where all stocks are accurately priced based on their investment properties and all investors equally possess the knowledge of these properties. The EMH also states that no investor within the market is able to achieve incredible market returns due to the fact that stocks are always priced at their fair value. However, considering the likes of Warren Buffet and his success, this idea doesn t seem to be true. Therefore, the EMH is considered by many to be fairly inaccurate theory that shouldn t be applied to financial markets. There can be a lot more said about the EMH however, this article, as I hope you have noticed by now, is to do with fractals. So now let s look at an alternative theory that investors may prefer to utilize. This theory ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 32. Darwin’s Theory of Natural Selection Versus Creationism Essay My research of Darwinian evolution has led me to believe that there is little room for spirituality of any kind in a truly rigorous scientific theory of the origin of life. This is disconcerting, to say the least. Obviously we have outgrown a strictly creationist lens, but has religion become completely obsolete? Does spirituality have a real place amongst the scientific tenets of evolutionary theory, or is it merely a crutch that we lean on? Can God and Darwin co exist? The constantly mounting collection of evidence for evolution by natural selection is almost impossible to ignore. However, there is a neo creationist school of thought, called intelligent design, attempting to modernize the concept of a God to fit the challenge ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Are the gaps in our knowledge of the origin of species large enough to allow for intelligent design? Despite several inconsistencies, the facts seem inescapably stacked in favor of natural selection. The fossil record is a good example. Though it is incomplete, the various geographic strata contain a wealth of extinct organisms which exhibit distinct evolutionary trends. These include morphological similarities between older species and those that exist today, in both adult and embryo forms. The implications of this analysis of the fossil record are not good for creationism. The species that exist today were not simply placed on Earth in their current condition, but have come to be over hundreds of millions of years of adaptation. Ernst Mayr states that embryonic similarities, recapitulation, and vestigial structures raise insurmountable difficulties for a creationist explanation, but are fully compatible with an evolutionary explanation based on common descent, variation, and selection. (31) Mayr is unrelenting in his support of evolution by natural selection, as are the majority of scientists and anthropologists. Critics of intelligent design argue that any creationist explanation cannot be purely scientific because it is necessary to consider the likelihood of the existence of a higher Intelligence. In other words, until it is proven that there is a God, these theories leave something to be desired. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 33. The Goals in Issues of Obamacare The new health care reform law in America, Obamacare, increases the quality, availability, and affordability of private and public health insurance to 44 million uninsured. It also is working to curb the growth in healthcare spending in the U.S. which has been rising at an unsustainable rate. Obamacare was passed in the senate on December 24, 2009, and passed in the house on March 21, 2010. It was signed into law by President Barack Obamaon March 23, 2010, and upheld in the supreme court on June 28, 2012. The concept behind Obamacare was the individual mandate, which requires that most Americans obtain health insuranceby the end of 2014 or they will have to pay a tax penalty. This concept was first brought about by The Heritage Foundation as an alternative for the single payer initiative, Medicare . This reform wasn t proposed or expanded until it was implemented in Massachusetts by Governor Romney. During the 2008 elections, healthcare was a booming subject for the Democratic party. The Affordable Care Act includes measures to eliminate pre existing conditions, stop insurance companies from dropping people when they are sick or unhealthy, expand the Medicaid, and create state specific health insurance marketplaces to allow those who are in the middle or lower classes so they can shop for free or low costing insurance. • 36. Blood Typing And The Blood Of The Donor Blood INTRODUCTION: Blood typing is one of the tests that will determine a person s blood type. Although, all blood is made of the same basic elements but they are not same by their blood typing. In fact, there are eight different common blood types. Based on certain substances of antigen presence or absence and Rh factors we will able to identify the person blood types. Those substances can trigger an immune response if they are foreign to the body. Blood typing is important when you need a blood transfusion or planning to have an organ transplant. As we know not all blood types are compatible due to their antigen and antibodies they have. Since some antigens can react with person immune system to attack the donor blood, It is very important to know the person s blood typing and cross matching to ensure that your body doesn t make antibodies to attack the donor blood or organ. Blood typing is especially important to pregnant mothers when the mother is Rh and the father has Rh+ and a child born with Rh positive. So, it is important to be an early cautious in order to avoid reactive consequences. In the medical sector small mistake can take patient life. In this lab experiment though using the anti A serum, anti B serum, and anti Rh serum, we were able to identify the blood types of each sample that we had. Unfortunately, famine is currently one of the main causes of death in third world countries. In this essay I will look at the reasons for the famine, the consequences and compare the ideas of food aid and sustainable livelihoods. Famine causes malnutrition and death, in 2011, 260 000 people died of famine in Sudan and Ethiopia. Over half of these were children. (Devi 2017) There is not one cause of famine in third world countries, but instead multiple factors. The idea that famine is due to food shortages is false, the world produces more food than we need, but unfortunately those who need it do not have access to it. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... But if the crop fails, the merchant will be compensated, and receive a high share, while the farmer will now be in debt. This is due to the sheil system in place. This prevents small farmers from receiving money if their crop fails. This system is unfair as the sheil merchant sets the amount of interest, so they will receive money either way, unlike the farmers who will only receive a small amount if their crop is successful. (Lennart Olsson 1993) This contributed to the famine as farmers are often in debt as many crops fail due to the drought. They then cannot afford to by food for their family. Food aid has become an important part to help the famine in third world countries. But unfortunately, there is evidence to show that the food aid needs improvement. A few of the problems said to be from food aid is that the is a) not enough, b) unevenly distributed or c) is from the donors market. In 2007 Sudan had a food aid shortfall of $120 million US dollars. (Wahlberg 2008) Because of this the WFP had to cut food rations and send the aid to smaller areas. This leads into the next issue, where the food is unevenly distributed. • 40. What Is Graph Theoretical Analysis 1.3.4. Introduction to graph theoretical analysis. The case of brain perfusion SPECT. In the field of quantitative neuroimaging, graph theoretical analysis is one of the methods to study brain connectivity [93 95, 100, 101]. A key concept of this method is the notion of topology. This concept can be illustrated with a simple idea which is used when we travel in the subway of any large city. In figure 3 two maps of the London subway appear, the first map shows a precise spatial description of the railways (or lines) through which trains travel (i.e., the subway topography), whereas the second one is only concerned with the relative locations of subway stations and connecting lines (i.e., the subway topology). These two maps do not coincide with regards to the relative position of the stations, neither in the distances nor in the location of the lines. However, the topological map simplifies the problem for the traveler. For example, two stations may be physically (topographically) ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... By simply inspecting the topological maps, it is not easy to know if one subway is better organized than the other (e.g., subway efficiency). One way to simplify this problem is to use metrics that quantify or analyze the subway network using graph theory [94, 101]. Hence the name of graph theoretical analysis. A first aspect to measure could be how easy it is to travel between any two stations (e.g. the number of stations on average, between the start and end of the trip). This aspect is relevant, especially if the traveler wants to visit different parts of the city on the same day. This example illustrates the concept of global efficiency of a graph [94, 101]. The metric of global efficiency is a way to quantify the global connectivity (integration) of the network. In this example, it is assumed that the number of stations (nodes) and lines (connectors) are the same in the two subways that are ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

There are countless ways to appreciate the great outdoors, even an AC lover like me can find ways to love it. One way I have learned to connect with nature is through photography.
