Power flow control in parallel transmission lines based on UPFCjournalBEEI
The power flow controlled in the electric power network is one of the main factors that affected the modern power systems development. The unified power flow controller (UPFC) is a FACTS powerful device that can control both active and reactive power flow of parallel transmission lines branches. In this paper, modelling and simulation of active and reactive power flow control in parallel transmission lines using UPFC with adaptive neuro-fuzzy logic is proposed. The mathematical model of UPFC in power flow is also proposed. The results show the ability of UPFC to control the flow of powers components "active and reactive power" in the controlled line and thus the overall power regulated between lines.

Active suspension system
An active suspension is a type of automotive suspension on a vehicle. It uses an onboard system to control the vertical movement of the vehicle's wheels relative to the chassis or vehicle body rather than the passive suspension provided by large springs where the movement is determined entirely by the road surface. So-called active suspensions are divided into two classes: real active suspensions, and adaptive or semi-active suspensions. While adaptive suspensions only very shock absorber firmness to match changing road or dynamic conditions, active suspensions use some type of actuator to raise and lower the chassis independently at each wheel.

In the proposed approach, instead of a conventional 3- Phase inverter a component minimized single pha se inverter is utilized which reduces the cost of the inverter,th e switching losses, and the complexity of interface circuits to generate logic signals. A performance comparison of the prop osed inverter fed drive with a conventional 3Phase inverter fed drive is also mode in terms of speed response and t otal harmonic distortion (THD) of the stator curren t. The proposed inverter fed IM drive is found acceptable consideri ng its cost reduction and other advantageous featur es. A general pulse width modulation (PWM) method for c ontrol of 1-phase inverters is presented. The vecto r PWM offers a simple method to select three or four vectors tha t effectively synthesize the desired output voltage, even in presence of voltage oscillations across the two dc-link capacit ors. The influence of different switching patterns on output voltage symmetry, current waveform, switching frequency and common mode voltage can be examined. The paper als o discusses how the use of the wye and delta connecti ons of the motor windings affects the implementatio n of the pulse width modulator.

IRJET-Design and Analysis of torque limiter timer belt spindle drive for over...IRJET Journal
Kare Rohan Nandkumar , Raut L.B. "Design and Analysis of torque limiter timer belt spindle drive for overload protection", International Research Journal of Engineering and Technology (IRJET), Vol2,issue-01 March 2015. e-ISSN:2395-0056, p-ISSN:2395-0072. www.irjet.net
Abstract
Power is transmitted from motor to output shaft without any interference when no excessive load acting on the machine. But major problem is faced by industry on the machine that is when excessive load will act on the output shaft then problem of overloading make the driving motor or engine to stall; which will lead to burnout of the electric motor. In extreme cases this overload will lead to the breakage of drive elements or the clutch itself. In order to avoid the damage of the transmission elements it is necessary that the input and output shafts be disconnected in case of sudden overloads. The isolation of the input driver member i.e.; motor from the output member is absolutely necessary to avoid damage itself. Such serious problem which face by the industry can be avoided by use of Torque limiter timer belt spindle drive for overload protection and this can be achieved by the overload slipping ball clutch which is an safety device used in the transmission line to connect the driving and driven elements such that in case of occasional overload the clutch will slip there by disconnecting the input and output members. This protects the transmission elements from any breakage or damage and to cope up with this situation static structural analysis is done on the different parts of Torque limiter such as Base flange, Test rig, output shaft, plunger etc. In this case according to the discussion with company person we will decide to done the static analysis of various parts such as base flange, test rig, output shaft etc

Climate Impact of Software Testing at Nordic Testing DaysKari Kakkonen
My slides at Nordic Testing Days 6.6.2024
Climate impact / sustainability of software testing discussed on the talk. ICT and testing must carry their part of global responsibility to help with the climat warming. We can minimize the carbon footprint but we can also have a carbon handprint, a positive impact on the climate. Quality characteristics can be added with sustainability, and then measured continuously. Test environments can be used less, and in smaller scale and on demand. Test techniques can be used in optimizing or minimizing number of tests. Test automation can be used to speed up testing.

Observability Concepts EVERY Developer Should Know -- DeveloperWeek Europe.pdfPaige Cruz
Monitoring and observability aren’t traditionally found in software curriculums and many of us cobble this knowledge together from whatever vendor or ecosystem we were first introduced to and whatever is a part of your current company’s observability stack.
While the dev and ops silo continues to crumble….many organizations still relegate monitoring & observability as the purview of ops, infra and SRE teams. This is a mistake - achieving a highly observable system requires collaboration up and down the stack.
I, a former op, would like to extend an invitation to all application developers to join the observability party will share these foundational concepts to build on:
