Besides that, you’ll read about our plans for the first half of 2009, which we successfully accomplished.

The State Library of Victoria underwent a massive transformation over the last five years through their SLV21 project. They now offer more varied experiences both onsite and online for visitors. Onsite, they have galleries, programs, and over 100 internet computers. Online, users can access databases, order books/copies, use research guides, and contribute to blogs from anywhere in Victoria. They have also digitized nearly 300,000 heritage items. The State Library aims to further expose their content through new discovery tools and make everything accessible online. They will continue their dual role of providing access while preserving important Victorian heritage materials.

Oodi is a new public library and urban living room located in Helsinki, Finland that opened in 2018. It cost 98 million euros to construct and covers 10,000 square meters. Oodi aims to be an open, non-commercial space that provides skills and experiences for residents through partnerships and collaboration. It has three floors dedicated to events, activities, and a book collection. In its first year, Oodi had over 2.7 million visits and hosted over 1,000 public events. Cityread London is an annual literature festival organized by libraries across London. In 2012, the festival focused on the works of Charles Dickens and his novel Oliver Twist. Over 33 London library services participated in over 900 events related to Oliver Twist throughout April 2012. These events included readings, performances, workshops, history tours and more aimed at engaging diverse audiences with the goal of raising the profile of libraries. While the 2012 festival saw success in audience engagement, organizers noted areas for improvement in marketing, sponsorship, and evaluation.

Its vision is to create added value for civil society through analyzing and sharing knowledge and best practices while playing an intermediary role and encouraging new forms of cooperation. Kjersti Lunde is a project manager at the Danish Ministry of Business and Growth. The ministry administers business regulations, registers businesses, and operates Virk.dk, a website where businesses report digitally or on paper to public authorities. Small businesses often lack IT skills, so the ministry piloted a program training librarians to assist businesses using Virk.dk and common digital solutions. The pilot was successful, so in 2013 the ministry began training librarians nationwide to help small businesses with tasks like digital signatures, proxies, registrations, invoices, and refunds.

A wound is a break in the integrity of the skin or tissues, which may be associated with disruption of the structure and function.
Healing is the body’s response to injury in an attempt to restore normal structure and functions.
Healing can occur in two ways: Regeneration and Repair
There are 4 phases of wound healing: hemostasis, inflammation, proliferation, and remodeling. This document also describes the mechanism of wound healing. Factors that affect healing include infection, uncontrolled diabetes, poor nutrition, age, anemia, the presence of foreign bodies, etc.
