MANS BIOLOGICAL
MAKE-UP
MANS BIOLOGICAL MAKE-UP
•Mans biological make-up is how your body
put together. includes your genetic
information, your physical body and every
which goes into making your body.
THE HUMAN BODY
• human body is made up of all the living and nonliving components
that create the entire structure of the human organism: including
every living cell, tissue and organ on the outside of human body.
• HEAD
•NECK
•TORSO
•ARMS
•LEGS
THE HEAD
•is a processing center for the body relaying sensory
information to our brain.
THE NECK
•Provide support for the skull, while allowing for movement.
It is the most flexible part of the spine.
THETORSO
• is the main part of the body that contains the chest, abdomen, pelvis,
and back. most of the body’s organs and backbone are found in the
torso. also called trunk
INTERNAL PART OFTORSO
ARMS
• is a functional unit of the upper body. It, consist of three
section the upper arm, forearm, and hand.
UPPER ARM:
 FOREARM
 THE HAND
LEGS
is the entire lower limb of the human body, including the foot, thigh,
and even the hip or gluteal region. The legs composed of five distinct
section the upper leg, knees, lower leg, ankle, and foot.
CHARACTERISTICS OF GROWTH
growth means an expansion in physical size,
volume, weight.it is one of changing processes in
human life. it represents quantitative changes such
as weight, height, blood pressure etc. this change
occur among every living
 growth defines the change in the physical factors of
child including height, mass weight and physical
development.
growth can be measured as it is quantitative
growth does not take place in a continuous
manner.
growth is uniform in the physical sense such
as the milk teeth growth, then walking ,etc .
growth takes place for a limited period.
growth rate is faster in the initial years than in the
later stages
mental cannot perceived through sense rather
through physical growth.
 various factors such as heredity, environment,
social relationship, and motivation affects the growth
rate.
-food, the amount of nutrition, health , fitness
influence metal as well as physical growth
DIFFERENCES IN BOYS AND GIRLS
DIFFERENCES IN BOYS AND GIRLS
BOYS:
• the differentiating factor between a boy and a girl is
their reproductive make-up.
Testosterone
males typically have proportionately more muscle mass ,more bone mass
and a lower percentage of body fat than girls.
 Masculine
 thicker skin and skull
 stronger muscles
males has a wider shoulder
 aggressive more likely to roughhouse than girls
Boys are less communicative or verbal than girls.
mans has a larger bone structure
 boys are more active in physical activity (sports, exercises, and etc .
GIRLS:
Girls has a smaller body and bone
Girls are more advance than boys
Girls contributes to the presence of mammary glands and more
pronounced fatty tissues
Girls has a breast and wider hips
 Have a high pitch voice than boys
weaker muscles
thinner skin and skull
Girls are emotional responsive than boys
BODYTYPES
•human body shape is a complex
phenomenon with sophisticated detail
and function. The general shape or
figure of a person is defined mainly by
the molding of skeletal structures, as
well as the distribution of muscle and
fat.
The common “male shape”
THERE ARE THREE BODY TYPE:
ECTOMORPH-this is when the body is lean and slender and
tends to have less body fat and muscle
ENDOMORPH-this is when the body has more stored fat,
lots of muscle, and gain weight easily
MESOMORPH- This is when the body is athletic and strong. people
with this body type are neither overweight nor underweight.
COMMON”FEMALE”SHAPES
COMMON SHAPE INCLUDE:
PEAR OR TRIANGLE-people with this body shape have narrower
shoulder than their hips.
INVERTED TRIANGLE-this is when the lower half of the body is
smaller than the top, with shoulder wider than the hips
RECTANGLE-this is when there is no major definition at the waistline
and hips. People with this body shape have similar hip and shoulder
width, and the body tends to be equal proportions
 HOURGLASS- This is when both the top and bottom
halves of the body are equal broad.
 OVAL OR APPLE-This when the top and bottom halves of the
body are narrow. People with this body shape tend to carry
weight in the chest and stomach area and have slender legs.
POSTURE
•is the position in which you hold your
body while standing, sitting or lying
down. posture involves training your
body to stand, walk, sit and lie so as to
place the least strain on muscles and
ligaments while your are moving or
performing weight bearing activities.
THERE ARE FIVE OF POSTURE
 HEALTHY
 KYPHOSIS
 FLATBACK
 SWAYBACK
 FORWARD HEAD
PHYSICAL FITNESS - ASPECT OF
TOTAL FITNESS
 Is a person with total fitness as a person
that has the ability to cope with many
problems and stress with they have
been deal from modern day life.
THEN USE THE FITT PRINCIPLE TO DEVELOP YOUR PHYSICAL
ACTIVITY PLAN.
F- frequency
I- intensity
T-type
T-time
COMPONENT OF PHYSICAL FITNESS
EXERCISE AND PHYSICAL FITNESS- FACTORS AFFECTING
FITNESS
 Is a state of health and well being and more specifically, the ability to
perform aspects of sports, occupations and daily activities. Physical fitness
generally achieved through proper nutrition, moderate the physical exercise.
FIVE COMPONENTS:
BODY COMPOSITION
-Is use to describe the percentage of fat bone water and muscle in human body
FLEXIBILITY
-Is the ability of a join or series of joints to move through an
unrestricted pain free range of motion.
MUSCULAR STRENGTH
-Muscular strength release to your ability to move and lift
objects, its measured how much force you can exert.
MUSCULAR ENDURANCE-is the ability of heart and lungs to supply oxygen
and nutrients to the working muscles over a long period of time
CARDIORESPIRATORY ENDURACE
-the ability of heart and lungs to supply oxygen and nutrients to the
working muscles over a long period of time.
FACTOR AFFECTING FITTNESS
 -is the two biggest factor that affect our health
and fitness are nutrition and sleep without two
aspects of our lives turn in everything else will
suffer. Not least our performance and
development in the gym. Nutrition is the fuel that
we prove our bodies with to make it through the
day.
10 LIFE-STYLE FACTORS OF AFFECTING
YOUR FITNESS:
• JOB STRESS
• SLEEP
• FINDING BALANCE
• DIET
• FAMILY OBLIGATIONS
• WORK CAPACITY
• INJURY /ILLNESS
• YOUR AGE
• YOUR BODY SCHEDULE
• YOUR CURRENT FITNESS LEVEL
 THE FACTORS OF AFFECTING
PHYSICAL FITNESS
-the environment, which includes climate,
temperature, altitude, social and cultural
factors, affecting the physical fitness of a
person.
