1. Macbeth Essay Introduction
Writing an essay on the topic of "Macbeth Essay Introduction" can be both challenging and
rewarding. The difficulty lies in capturing the essence of William Shakespeare's iconic play in a
concise and engaging manner. Crafting an effective introduction requires a deep understanding
of the play's themes, characters, and overarching narrative. The challenge intensifies as one
strives to present a unique perspective that stands out from the multitude of existing analyses.
Additionally, delving into the complexities of Macbeth's character, the supernatural elements,
and the underlying moral dilemmas demands a keen analytical mind. The introduction should not
only provide a glimpse into the central themes but also serve as a roadmap for the reader,
guiding them into the intricate world of Macbeth.
Moreover, striking a balance between being informative and captivating poses another hurdle. A
successful introduction must captivate the reader's attention, making them eager to explore the
rest of the essay. Achieving this delicate balance requires careful consideration of language,
structure, and the selection of compelling arguments or insights.
Despite these challenges, the process of writing a Macbeth essay introduction offers a valuable
opportunity for intellectual exploration and expression. It allows the writer to delve into the

2. Isetan Malaysia Localization Strategy
RETAIL BUSINESS
Since 1985, Malaysia has seen unprecedented growth in retail business. International
names like Tesco, Jusco, Carrefour, Isetan, Cold Storage to name a few have made
their presents felt among the consumers in the country, influencing the consumers
buying behaviour, and affected by these very same consumers in their business
strategies and policies (Elle Morena, 2014)
Their business models have led to low prices and good quality products. This is also
the outcome of supply strategy of high volume purchases, and in the process
developing strong supply community.
Local mom and pop retailers, though are making a hue and cry about the almost
monopolistic business practices by these big retailers, have found new means of ...

Many organizational structures become obsolete in dealing with the localization

merchandizing manager? A de centralized merchandizing manager may be best to
facilitate localization, it however increases the overhead cost of the group. On the
other hand, a centralized manager may not be effective to support localization.
Scale still matters to achieve the cost effectiveness of purchases. However, scale at
localization may not be fully maximized. This requires the managers to work together
and be coordinated at international level without neglecting information and the needs
of the local customers. Localization can actually improve and minimize the
complexity in aggregate. Questions like should
3. Snow By Julia Alvarez Summary
Snow Activity In the Snow by Julia Alvarez, Yolando, an immigrant, describes the
world around her during a time of war. She notes that the English words that she is
picks up or learns at school are all related to war. She is fascinated yet scared with
her surroundings. My first impression Yolando s experience is similar to an Asian
immigrant just arriving to the United States trying to transition to their new home .
Even though I can t relate to her in the aspect of living in a time of war, I do relate to
her about curiosity about the her new environment. After reading the story, I thought
that life during that time was difficult and crazy. Throughout the story, Julia Alvarez
uses vivid imagery and similes to convey Yolando s experience
4. Relationships Between Ekwefi And Ezinma
The relationships between mothers and daughters in both pieces distinctly illustrates
that actions result in consequences through the various similarities and differences.
Two specific mothers throughout both the novel and the film appear to
unconditionally support their daughters in any way feasible. The relationship
between Ekwefi and Ezinma emerges as a significant bond that shapes the lives of
both Ekwefi and Ezinma as well as other characters in the novel. For instance, when
Chielo captures Enzima and takes her to Agbala, Ekwefi becomes concerned and
follows them to the caves. Traveling through unbearable conditions, walking and
running countless miles and even disobeying her religion to simply confirm her
daughter s safety. This shows that Ekwefi and Ezinma have a profound connection
and will take perilous actions to ensure safety and happiness for one another.
Likewise, Vianne would undertake precarious actions to ensure her daughter s safety
and satisfaction. For example, in the situation where the river rats boat ignites, Vianne
plunges into the river and risks her life to assure she finds Anouk safe. This
demonstrates that Vianne and Anouk has a compelling relationship and will take
extreme measures to ensure the other s happiness and safety, similar to that of Ekwefi
and Ezinma. The actions taken by Vianne and Ekwefi result in a strong, beneficial
relationship with their respective daughters and shape the ensuing lives of each
character involved. Clearly, these
5. How Does Robert Herick Use Uncertainty In We Grow...
Most people believe that disorder and uncertainty are negative and are flaws.
However, the two poets Robert Herrick and Emily Dickinson prove this thought
wrong. Herrick in his poem Delight in Disorder paints a portrait of a woman who
he is attracted to while Dickinson in We grow accustomed to the Dark gives a
glimpse into the nature of darkness. Despite the belief of most people, the two poets
use precise diction in order to show that disorder and uncertainty are rather appealing
and necessary in life.
Robert Herrick in Delight in Disorder uses words such as distraction, confusedly,
tempestuous, careless, and wild throughout his poem to express the disorder of the
woman s dress (4, 8, 10, 11, 12). However, in the end of his poem, Herrick writes, a
wild civility;/Do more bewitch me than when art/Is too precise in every part (12
13). The word bewitch proves that the speaker is so attracted to the disorder of the
dress that it is almost casting a spell on him. Also too precise in every part in the last
verse indicates that something that is so exact and perfect and what everyone thinks
they want is not attractive (13). In We grow accustomed to the Dark, similar to
Robert Herrick, Emily Dickinson shows uncertainty in people s lives by this phrase:
A moment―We uncertain step/For newness of the night (5 6). The night symbolizes
the uncertainty and the fear new phrases in life bring. After Dickinson expresses the
uncertainty newness can create for people, she writes, ... Show more content on

If the two poets were not thoughtful in their diction, they would not succeed in
expressing the meaning of the poem in so few words. With their careful word
choices, Herrick and Dickinson is able to deliver their message that even though most
people think that disorder and uncertainty are negative and almost even dangerous,
they are rather attractive and necessary in

Familiar
Describe and analyse a subculture with which you are familiar.
The definition of a subculture is a culture within a culture where a group develops
distinctive norms and values that are different from those of the mainstream culture.
The subculture that I will be writing about is called the Fan Base which is also know
as the Fandom.
A fan base or fandom is a group of regular supporters and enthusiasts that spend a
rather large amount of time and energy focussing on a team, musician or musical
group, entertainer or any other celebrity; these different people/groups can be classed
as sort of a leader or main person that holds the group together.
Fan bases do not majorly differ from mainstream cultures when it comes to values ...

Also, for many fan bases there are expectations for each fan to have some form of
social networking account so then they can communicate with other fans. Websites
such as Twitter, Facebook and Tumblr would be the main examples of ways to
communicate between fans. For music based fandoms, there is the expectation of
having to be at concerts, signings, radio tours and any other events that the musician
/band they follow attend.
For fan bases there is not necessarily a method for learning the groups rules or
norms as you become part of a fan base by simply having something common with
another fan, so liking the same band or television show, having the same
dedication toward a team or band and so on. This means that you are automatically
accepted as part of the group, however a lot of fans get agitated when fans that are
part of their fandom decide to move fandoms as they see it as a sort of betrayal to
their leader , this can lead to unruly behaviour and many arguments within the fan
base itself.
This kind of subculture emerged originally in the 1960s when pop music first
arrived on the scene. It was during a time when teenagers wanted to rebel against
the system or just wanted be different to everyone else and this kind of music
allowed them to do so. The first fan bases came about because of groups like The
Rolling Stones and the Beatles, these particular groups especially had an impact on
mainstream culture as many teenagers spent a

10. A Study On Microstrip Antenna
Chapter 3
Overview of Microstrip Antenna
3.1 Microstrip Antenna A microstrip antenna consists of conducting patch and a
ground plane separated by dielectric substrate. This concept was undeveloped until
the revolution in electronic circuit miniaturization and large scale integration in 1970.
The early work of Munson on microstrip antennas for use as a low profile flush
mounted antennas on rockets and missiles showed that this was a practical concept
for use in many antenna system problems. Various mathematical models were
developed for this antenna and its applications were extended to many other fields.
The number of papers, articles published in the journals for the last ten years. The
microstrip antennas are the present day antenna designer,s choice. Low dielectric
constant substrates are generally preferred for maximum radiation. The conducting
patch can take any shape but rectangular and circular configurations are the most
commonly used configuration. A microstrip antennais characterized by its length,
width, input impedance, gain and radiation patterns. Various parameters, related
calculation and feeding technique will be discussed further through this chapter. The
length of the antenna is about half wavelength of its operational frequency. The
length of the patch is very critical and important that result to the frequency radiated.
Antennas are key components of any wireless communication system and it
11. Cellular Respiration And Photosynthesis
Plants are made up of eukaryotic cells that are responsible for the survival of all
living organisms. There are two processes that occur within plant cells to help
produce the oxygen we breathe. These processes are called photosynthesis and
cellular respiration. Photosynthesis is a reaction in which light energy is converted
into glucose and ATP. The chemical equation for this reaction is CO2+H2O+light
energy C6H12O6+O2. This reaction takes place in the chloroplast of a plant cell.
There are two parts that make up photosynthesis: the light reactions that occur in the
thylakoid membrane, and the Calvin cycle, which occurs in the stroma. The light
reactions are made up of two electron transport chains: Photosystem II (PSII) and
Photosystem I (PSI). To start, light energy from the sun excites an electron in PSII and

It uses the ATP and NADPH from the light reactions, along with carbon dioxide
(CO2) from the air, to produce glucose. The CO2 is converted into glucose in a
process called carbon fixation. This glucose molecule will be used in cellular
respiration. Cellular respiration is a reaction in which glucose is converted into
ATP. The chemical equation is C6H12O6+O2 CO2+H2O+energy. There are three
parts that make up this reaction: glycolysis which occurs in the cytosol, the Kreb s
cycle which occurs in the mitochondrial matrix, and oxidative phosphorylation
which occurs in the cristae of the mitochondria. First, glycolysis, a catabolic
reaction, will break glucose down into two molecules of pyruvate. During this
process, two NADH and two ATP are gained. The two pyruvate are then converted
into acetyl CoA and used in the Kreb s cycle, which is another catabolic reaction.
This conversion produces one NADH and CO2. During the Kreb s cycle, the two
acetyl CoA will be used up to produce six NADH, two FADH2, and two ATP, with
waste products of H2O and

14. The Quest For Non Romantic Adoration
Devdas rise above limits to grasp their affection in a profound way. They repudiate
their material belonging and embellishments in the quest for non romantic adoration.
This is all that much like some female holy people in Hinduism, who said that
common relational unions speak to both the bait and the servitude of the world,
while their association with God (once in a while discussed as a profound marriage)
speaks to a renunciation of the world and customary parts (Kinsley, 1981). Paro‟s
move from youth to adulthood is spoken to through the picture of a lotus
blossoming. In Hindu otherworldly examination the lotus has a unique spot. It is
viewed as unadulterated and lovely, as well as an image of goodwill, peace,
flourishing and bliss (Bhalla, 2009). In its maturing stage, the lotus symbolizes her
inactive adoration that has not achieved full acknowledgment. With the blossoming
of a lotus, which is viewed as blessed in Hindu conviction, Paro‟s profound
adoration achieves a completely created stage. Amid their initially meeting as grown
ups, Paro lights a „diya‟ or a light, something that Hindus do while performing
petitions to God. In Hindu family units a customary oil light is lit day by day before
the sacrificial stone of the Lord (Chary, 2009). Promptly after that, Devdas is
appeared from his feet upwards, hoisting his status from minor mortal to profound

The early 1900 s novella, Heart of Darkness, written by Joseph Conrad follows the
journey of a man named Charlie Marlow. Apocalypse Now, a 1970 s movie
directed by Francis Ford Coppola follows the mission of a man named Captain
Benjamin L. Willard. Apocalypse Now filmed nearly 80 years after the initial
publication of the novella was created as a film adaptation of the book. The movie
changes many elements from the novella, but keeps the basic outline and a few
characters the same. Heart of Darknessand Apocalypse Nowhave many similar
aspects while still being their own separate pieces, by comparing the journey
within both works, analyzing the characters, and understanding their different
interpretations of darkness the relationship between these two works can truly be
seen. In Heart of Darkness Marlow is sitting on a boat, the Nellie, and tells the
story of his journey through Africa s Congo to his fellow seamen. Marlow starts
his story with his childhood, during which he had a great passion for maps and the
blank spaces on earth. There was one... the biggest, the most blank, so to speak that
I had a hankering after... by this time it was not a blank space any more. (Conrad
13). This is Marlow s opening remark about why he wanted to travel around Africa.
With help from his Aunt, Marlow gets a position as skipper of a river steamboat,
which allows him to travel the snake like river he has been eyeing up since his
childhood. Eventually Marlow travels up the
17. Women Are The Ones Who Handle Household Chores
Always women are the ones who handle the household chores
Household chores like doing the laundry, cleaning the utensils, taking care of
children and making food is always done by women. If both, husband and wife are
working, it is always the woman doing the domestic work. But this is not always
true. This is in fact a gender stereotype which has existed since many years. Maybe
not all men or fathers do household chores, but many do. According to Catherine
Rampell, a writer for The New York Times newspaper, on an average day, 66.6%
men and 85% women report doing some sort of household activity.
Almost everybody believe in this stereotype. Even if a man is sharing household work
with his spouse or any other female in the house, his image is presented as if he
does nothing. Even if he is contributing little, he is at least doing something, and
something is definitely better than nothing. No man s conscious would allow him
to see his wife or any female in the house do all the work in the house alone. Even if
a man is going out for groceries, it is not considered a household work by the
female, just because he did not contribute to do the work in the house. Women tend
to see the results instead of the work done to get those particular results. If men are
doing the dishes, it is considered nothing because they are just rinsing them and
putting them in the dish washer, which is an easy job. But it takes time to do it. Men
are using up their time, in which they relax, to do the
18. The Devil Is The Embodiment Of Evil
The Devil or Lucifer is arguably one of the most famous figures in existence. He is
considered the Prince of Darkness and is supposed to be the embodiment of evil.
However, our perception of the Devil has changed drastically over the centuries.
Satan can mean something very different depending on the person. Some see the
Devil as their godor a hero and others seem him as a symbol of all that is wicked.
Some may view the Devil as nothing, but a joke and others believe he is as real as
the rest of us. The concept of the Devil continues to evolve. The first mention of the
Devil or Satan rather dates back to the first chapters of the Hebrew Biblein the Middle
East. This book is called the Old Testament. However, the character named Satan in
the Old Testament is not the Satan of today. There is no opposing evil force in the
Old Testament and there was no Hell. In the Old Testament Satan is an angel and
God s servant. He exists to do God s bidding and has no real power of his own. He
is the opposite of the character we come to know in the following centuries. The
concept of modern day evil Satan seems to stem from Zoroastrianism. Zoroaster
simplified things with his belief in one good god and one bad god. This created
separation between good and evil. Zoroastrianism has influenced the Jewish
scriptures and this begins the creation of a different Satan from the one in the Old
Testament. The concept of the Devil was also influenced by the Greek Gods. One

Augustus Caesar is most commonly known for his role in building the Roman

Augustus soon wondered how he could evade the destiny of assassination, which
took his uncle s life. The answer he formulated was to express his position in
Roman culture in very republican sounding terms . He needed to present his

Augustus was not a ruler, he proposed, but rather one of many other highly

ramifications of that claim is that Augustus ruled Rome not through power or

21. Tess Of The D Urberville Research Paper
In Tess of the D Urbervilles, Thomas Hardy distinguishes Tess Durbeyfield as a girl
in the midst of her physical development whom society mistakes for a matured
woman and as a girl constantly remorseful over the traumas she endures. For
instance, after falling asleep while driving a carriage, it crashes resulting in the
death of her family s horse and the tainting of a white road by blood. Even though
her family does not blame her for the accident, Tessstill feels remorseful. After the
Durbeyfields coerce Tess to work and reside at the D Urberville estate, Alec D
Urberville takes advantage of her, seizing her societally pure virginity perhaps
blinded by her physically mature appearance. In both of these instances, Tess lacks
agency. Finally,... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
However, the blood is also a physical representation of Tess s legal guilt, since the
murder is a crime. Therefore, Hardy s emphasized juxtaposition between red and
white suggests that Tess s maturation and moment of self will culminates from her
subjection to unforeseen traumas and the guilt they instilled. In addition, white in
this scene can symbolize her innocence as the red blood stains the white ceiling;
however, her purity no longer refers to her childhood virtue, rather her she loses
her legal innocence. As a result, Hardy implies that no matter what authority Tess
has in her life, the loss of innocence is inevitable whether it be personal, societal, or
legal because it is a component of development. In Tess of the D Urbervilles, Hardy
juxtaposes red and white to create more than a dichotomy between innocence and
guilt. He begins the novel by distinguishing Tess with her red ribbon amongst a
group of girls donned solely in white, and he ends the novel by marking Tess s
moment of agency by noting a growing blood stain on a white ceiling. Both of these
moment encapsulate the dichotomy; however, his other uses of red and white
suggest guilt and innocence as societal constructs in relation

The US National Administration of Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) is
currently trying to develop a robot that will be able to perform dangerous tasks in

living in space are somewhat endless. Put simply, the lack of gravity makes every day
activities significantly more complex, reducing productivity. In past centuries the
ability to climb effectively up smooth surfaces has attracted great attention. More
recently, the last decade or so, there have been large improvements in understanding
the attachment mechanism.

24. Repetition Of Lucille Clifton s White Lady
Repetition in Lucille Clifton s white lady I like persimmons. I like persimmons. I like
persimmons. There. I ve repeated the phrase thrice. Now, if I asked you to identify
whether I like persimmons or not, you would, almost certainly, say yes. Having the
same statement reiterated three times makes one more confident that it s not only
important, but that it s a fact in this context! In Lucille Clifton s white lady, a tone of
desperation is conveyed through repetition of words, phrases, and sentence structures.
Moreover, repetition highlights that desperation is unique not only to the loved ones
of the cocaineaddicts, but to White Lady as well. As an aside before we begin, I will
note that tone is a complex element within poetry. Hence, it is often conveyed
through a mish mash of literature devices, such as repetition, line breaks, diction,
etc. Therefore, I will not claim that this discussion is a comprehensive one that
describes all the myriad ways tone has been emphasized in the poem; I will merely
discuss one contributing factor to tone. On the surface, repetition is used for
conveying White Lady s greediness. Repetition first appears in the first to third
lines of the poem, where the word wants is at the start of each. If Clifton wanted to
illustrate how desperately White Lady wished to take away people s loved ones,
why didn t she utilize any other synonyms? For example, she could ve used wants in
the first line, desires in the second, and pines for in

The events that occur from dawn until dusk, capture the moments that molded
America into the new nation it fought to be, with the help of our legendary
forefathers, the townspeople, and even ourselves. The Revolutionary City allows its

independence from the British, and it is an incredible inspiration for people to take
the initiative to attain knowledge on how our nation began; such a project
demonstrates an utmost significance to the true lineage of the American people

The street runs from the Capitol building, passing the taverns and trade shops on the

26. The Justifications Of Prison And Punishment
The area this dissertation will be focusing on is the justifications of prison and
punishment, and looking at whether these objectives are being achieved today in the
current prisonsystem, with a thorough analysis of short sentences.
In order to analyse this, short sentences will be looked at to discover whether the
prison system is working.
Throughout history, punishment has always had to be justified. For example, pre 19th
century, punishment, which included being sent to the gallows or being placed in the
stocks, had the justification of being a deterrent, as punishment was a very public
event (BBC, 2012). This type of punishment was then met with Petitions against
executions and torture increased in the eighteenth century (Poster, 1984), and as a
result of these petitions, theorists such as Beccaria (1764) spoke of creating a
punishment that removed the element of torture. Foucault (1975) spoke of the
moving of punishment from the body to the mind, in order to present the prospect
that their acts would that their acts would cause more pain than pleasure so that, as
rational beings, they would avoid committing illegalities in the first place (Poster,
1984).
Prison has therefore been justified since the Gladstone Report (Departmental
Committee on Prisons,1895), which set the tone for penal policy, stating that prison
would have a deterrent function; there would also be a rehabilitative ideal about
prison. The objectives of prison, as described by Jewkes et al
27. Margaret Beaufort Pottery Case Study
Margaret Beaufort lived in a time when the ceramics industry in London and the
surrounding areas was just starting to take off (Kingston type ware). She was born
into a wealthy family and so she had many servants to take care of the cooking and
cleaning (The Red Queen..., 2013). At this time, many beautifully glazed jugs and
other pots were probably used in her home. However, most of these pots were
probably glazed with a green or yellow glaze as that was the popular color at that
time (Medieval Glazed Ware). Margaret Beaufort was an esteemed womanthat
probably had some of the best quality pottery and the some of the most asthetically
pleasing decorative pieces. These pieces would have been Kingston type wares as
that composed a great majority of the pottery made in London in the 14th century....

and along the Surrey Hampshire borders. The earliest surrey white wares found in
London are dated to the middle of the 13th century. They are comparable to 13th
and 14th century pottery excavated from numerous kiln sites in Kingston upon the
Thames, and have therefore been titled Kingston type ware. However, all Surrey
white ware clays are typical of the Reading Beds, in the Farnham area of Surrey,
which is distant from Kingston, so the raw materials were probably delivered to this

impact they had on the Aboriginal family life.
Aboriginal family life has been disrupted and forcibly changed over the last two
hundred years, as a result of the many segregation and assimilation policies
introduced by Australian governments. Often a combination of the two was
employed. The policy of segregation has impacted upon Aboriginal family life, for
through this policy, Aboriginals were restricted and prohibited to practice their
traditional culture, hence, resulting in the loss of their Indigenous identity and
limiting the cultural knowledge for future Aboriginal generations. The segregation

The policy of segregation had an enormous impact on the lives of aborigines. Despite
being discriminated against, the aboriginal people were being deprived the right to
practice and maintain traditional aspects of their culture, thus their children were
being taught to reject their aboriginality. In turn the rapid decline in population meant
that many elders were dead and thus many rituals and traditions were lost . The loss
of elders and the prohibition of practicing rituals impacted on aboriginal family life,
as a result of being unable to show their children traditional dances, native language
and stories of the dreamtime, cultural knowledge was not sufficiently carried on or
passed down to the next generation therefore hindering Aboriginal traditional life and
depriving Aboriginal children of their indigenous identity.
The reserves also held repercussions for the structure and roles within the aboriginal
family. The role and status of men more than women was effected, thus many
Aboriginal men, especially unemployed, slipped into aimlessness . Traditionally the
male role within the family was that of hunter and gatherer. It was the husband, or
father s role to find and provide food for his family. As a result of Aboriginals being
considered inferior to whites, thus acquiring a lower rate of pay, many families
became dependent on food handouts provided by the missionaries and reserves, thus
the fathers role of gathering for his family was subsequently

The first ethical violation surrounds confidentiality. According to research,
confidentiality is not an issue when observing large groups, where individual
responses or actions are not considered or when participants identifiable information
is not involved. Even in cases where there are large groups being assessed it is up to
the researcher to use good judgment in making decisions regarding what information
should be shared (Explorable, 2018). In the Tuskegee Syphilis Experiment, individual
responses/ reactions were taken into consideration and each participant s identifiable

play focuses on a piano owned by the Charles family. The piano is currently in
Bernice s house until her brother Boy Willie comes into town and tells her about the
plan he has to sell the piano. This plan causes Boy Willie and Bernice s true feelings
about the pianoto come to light. Through this disagreement about the piano it is

Boy Willie finish telling him the history of the piano. Boy Willie says, Boy Willie:

ticket to becoming a success. He would finally be able to achieve his goal of not
being stuck like his parents were if Bernice would forget the sentimental value and
let him sell the piano. Boy Willie argues that the land that he plans to buy with the
money from the piano will give back to him so that he can keep building off of and
making a profit from it, but instead of doing this the piano just sits there building
dust (51; 1.2). Boy Willie tries to explain this logic to Bernice when he

For families in later life there are different occasions in which the elderly is
depending on their immediate environment such as; family, churches, or
government support for help. There are interchangeable names that some will use
to describe someone who is old in age. The terms that some researchers may use
are as listed; elderly, aged, and older people. There many things that occur as an
individual gets older. Once the individuals reach that elderly stage the amount of
social contacts will increase. Before continuing on what changes when one is
elderly, it is essential to determine what is elderly. This idea of elderly or being old
is social constructed. According to Benokraitis author of Marriages and Families:
Changes, Choices, and Constraints stated, Our perception and definition of old
also depends on our age. Regardless of how we fell, society usually defines old in
chronological age (2015). There some complications to elderly people the limit them

Bhagat strives to describe the mental stirrings of his human resources. His characters
read the words and foresee the action. Therefore, novel is a wide ranging literary
form. It is a derivative of the Italian word novella , which means to portray a short,

The shortness of the sentence, She stood up acts as a sudden pause in the story, as
though this abrupt action has frozen time. In the next few lines, Bolland uses a
miserable tone to reflect on the mother s mood. To emphasize this sense of misery,
she uses the three rhyming words, emptying , killing and lighting , which have the
connotations of bitterness and depression. Bolland also uses pathetic fallacy to
reflect on the emotions of the mother, stating that the distance smelled of rain and
lightning. The distance that is mentioned here may symbolize how distant she and
her lover is now. At this point, the readers would feel a sense of pathos towards this
character. Hence, the third stanza is a transitioning phase between her presence of
the current situation and her stream of consciousness. As mentioned before, the
mother loses touch with the real world and is engaged in the beauty and delicacy
of the black lace fan. Bolland s use of visual imagery is impressive, as the readers
get to have a clear picture of the texture and details of the fan. The lines that read

2011
VET is a term that first appeared in the National Vocational Education and Training
Regulator Act 2011 and refers to a group of frameworks and systems that define the
operational set up of RTOs.
The three key features are:
(i) Industry led this features learning outcomes that are defined by representatives
from the industry and workplace. These outcomes address real life expectations.
In my field of design, this may be defined by developing assessment based on a
mock studio set up where the teacher is a client and the students work off a brief
given by the client.
(ii) National a jointly managed system run by the state, territory and Australian
governments, so a candidate meets a set of national standards that are acknowledged
Australia wide.
This is demonstrated via the use of the training packages developed for a specific
course. In my instance CUA Creative Arts and Culture Training Package and more
specifically CUA50715 Diploma of Graphic Design
(iii) Client focused the clients needs are met by the development of flexible, relevant
and responsive learning.
Flexible pathways in to training can be determined via the demonstration of skills the
candidate may have through prior training, job or personal experience etc, and
whether it is relevant to the unit/course.
VET reform is about improving the quality of training to improve job outcomes and
adapt to future skill requirements. Two of these objectives are: (i) to provide a system

a.Theme
i.Overall, the poem is showing perspective. Things around us change, but we
constantly seem to look at an object the same no matter what or never notice at all.
Since there are many people in the world everyone has a different perspective of
how they see, hear, and tastes objects. There is no right or wrong answer in how
someone perceives something. Peter sees the abandon track as a symbol for death
while Roselva sees the train tracks as symbolizing daily routines
b.Personal Response:
i.In modern society, perspective plays a big role. People always have opinions and
see and taste differently. I believe perspective plays an importance in religion and
art. In religion, there are many ways people can perceive how something is stated in
their religious book etc. In art, there are many visual perceptions that can be seen
through many people. People should learn that nobody is the same and there are
different ways for others to observe and recognize things.

STATEMENT OF THESIS INTENT
My research intent would be Building sustainability in the countries that are not well
developed by the planning of land usage and conservation of energy. It is an
intelligent scientific design, where it is the advancement of the current generation
needs without hampering the future generation needs. The environmental and
economic problems in our planet are mostly contributed by the construction industry
and urbanization. We must take the challenge and create eco design, sustainability
and construction practices to diminish the energy consumption. We must use the right
materials, construction techniques, building elements and energy focused concepts.
Often countries which have good monetary benefits find it easier to adopt sustainable
methods as the methods are economically very high. Developing countries like India,
often find it hard to adopt these methods and hence their primary choice would point
to an economically sustainable solution.
My love for this field began when I interned during my third year of B.Arch.
summer holidays in Habitat Technology Group in India. In their buildings, the spaces
and walls were made using a method called compressed stabilized rammed earth
construction. The construction was cost effective and very energy conscious.

Attack on the Philippines was previously contemplated by the joint Army Navy

The plan focused on covering emergency situations that would arise between the US

42. The Canonical Structure Of The New Testament
When we look at the canonical structure of the New Testament we observe a
collection of 27 books, which accredits thirteen of them to the Apostle Paul. The
writings of Luke, in particular the Acts of the Apostles, can be used as a theological
and historical basis, but it presents strong point and restrictions for Pauline
interpretation.
Primarily, Acts of the Apostlescan be used for Pauline interpretation as a theological
basis. Discovering the main purpose for Luke to write the book of Acts, gives
information about the world that Luke traded with during the books composition,
which gives us contextual indications regarding the theological atmosphere of the
Pauline letters. There are three basic goals that are useful for Pauline ... Show more

Thereby, Luke imply that the book of Acts is the extension of all that Jesus began to
do and teach but gives greater weight to the guidance of the Holy Spirit. Therefore, it
is prudent to affirm that the clear purpose of the Gospel of Luke relates to the book of
Acts also. Luke says, in Luke 1:4 that his intention for writing is to confirm the
legitimacy of Jesus teachings. Knowing that the book of Acts is the extension of the
Gospel of Luke, therefore it implies that in writing the book of Acts, Luke s
intention is to confirm with certainty of the continuation of Jesus teachings by the
leading of the Holy Spirit. Therefore, we can see how the book of Acts can be used
as a theological source, as it explicates how others were inquiring the liability of the
Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Secondly, Acts 1:8 says that the Apostles will be Jesus witnesses to the Jews first
and then to the Gentiles. Effectively, as the Gospel spread, the early church was
formed with Christians Jew and Christians Gentiles. The relations and visions of
the Christians Jew and Christians Gentiles were really opposed so it was one of the
theological trials of Luke. Luke s goal is to conciliate the Christians Jew with
Christians Gentiles since the Jews believed that the covenant was for them only. So,
all the way through the book of Acts, there are parallels of events such as the
reception of the Holy Spirit by the Christians Jew (Luke, Acts 2) and then the
Christians
43. The Importance Of The Perfect Community In The Giver
Lois Lowry s novel The Giver reveals Jonas development through creating a utopic
society, which was is an orderly community where choices were taken away. The
protagonist Jonas develops from an adapting member of the community to a unique
individual. Through Jonas development from a conforming member of the
community to a unique individual, Lowry conveys individuality, duality and
freedom. Overall, the novel illustrates that there is no perfect world , everything has
two sides.
The Giver portrays a seemingly utopic community in which all members follow a
strict set of rules. In the community where Jonas lives, a rigid set of rules dictates
and regulates every moment of the lives of its citizens. Although there are few
exceptions, People in the community strictly adhere to the rules. The community in
The Giver may seem like the perfect community in the beginning. But the rules are
to be shown to have smothered and controlled what we think of as spontaneous,
emotional, and personal. Two children one male, one female to each family unit. It
was written very clearly in the rules. Jonas is a model citizen who finds happiness
within this rigid community. We are shown that he is a model citizen because he
seems more intelligent and perceptive than many of his peers, and he thinks more
seriously than they do about life, worrying about his own future as well as his friend
Asher s. He enjoys learning and experiencing new things: he chooses to volunteer at a

44. Joran Van Der Sloot Case Study
On Monday, July 4, Deepak and Satish Kalpoe were released, but Joran van der
Sloot was detained for an additional sixty days. In order to aid in the search, the
Royal Netherlands Air Force deployed three F 16 aircraft equipped with infrared
sensors, without result. Satellite photos were also compared with photographs taken
more recently in an attempt to find unexpected shifts of ground that might be
Holloway s grave(Disappearance of Natalee Holloway, 2015). A small pond near the
Aruba Racquet Club close to the Marriott Hotel beach was partly drained between
July 27 and 30 after an individual came forward. The gardener claimed to have seen
Joran van der Sloot attempting to hide his face, driving into the Racquet Club with

The two brothers were released on the following day. The prosecution appealed the
Kalpoes release. That appeal was denied on December 5 with the court stating that
the file against the suspect did not contain direct indications that Natalee passed
away due to a violent crime. Van der Sloot was released without charge on
December 7, due to lack of evidence implicating him. No further appeals were
sought out (Disappearance of Natalee Holloway, 2015). Prosecutor Hans Mos
declared the case closed and no charges would be filed due to lack of evidence.
Even though the case was closed the prosecution continued an interest in the
Kalpoe s and Joran van der Sloot. The interest remained due to an alleged chat
room message, where one of the three had stated that Holloway was dead. This was
contested by Deepak Kalpoe s attorney, who stated that the prosecution, had
misconstrued a reference to a teacher who had drowned as one to Holloway.
Attorney Ronald Wix also stated, Unless (Mos) finds a body in the bathroom of one
of these kids, there s no way in hell they can arrest them anymore (Disappearance of

Technology has been advancing at an increasingly high rate; as a result scientists

used to genetically modify foods have contributed to the controversial statements,
whether or not genetically modified foods should be available for human

Conversely, The Flavr Savour tomato possesses supressed activity of the enzyme
polygalacturonase. The suppression contributes to the fruits ability to stay harder
for longer allowing it to stay on the vine. This suppression allows the tomato to
develop its natural flavours and ripen as it stays on the vine for a longer time
period. This flavour saving process lead to the products name The Flavr Savr .
The Flavr Savr tomato is created through the use of antisense gene technologies to
decrease the polygalacturonase activity. The kan(r) is a gene from the bacteria
Escherichia coli, alongside with the gene from the Flavr Savr tomato they are
inserted into a plasmid that resembles a round ring of DNA. These plasmids are
further inserted into a group of normal tomato cells in a medium growth that
contains the kanamycin antibiotic Engel 7. This process produces the APH (3 ) II
substance that allows the cell to become resistant to the antibiotic. This process is
used to identify the genetically transformed genes. The gene of the Flavr Savr
initially coded for a strand of RNA, which was the reverse strand of RNA that
occurs in a natural tomato plant. The original RNA strand contains the enzyme
polygalacturonase degrading the cell wall, making the fruit soft. The RNA strand
made from the Flavr Savr gene binds to the polygalacturonase RNA in a process to
cancel each other out as demonstrated in figure 1.
The antisense gene is a
46. Solidarity And Solidarity
Love and Solidarity Solidarity means a feeling of unity between people who have
the same interests, goals, etc. ( Human Solidarity and Love , Web 22/02/2017). In
a broader and more inclusive sense, solidarity is when people consider themselves
as one family irrespective of national, racial, ethnic, economic, social and ideological
differences; it is when people see themselves as brothers and sisters keepers (
USCCB Catholic Social Teaching, Web 21/02/2017). Mechmann stresses the social
nature of the humanpersonthus: It is an inherent characteristic of the human person
to be in relation to others; human beings are not only social in preference and desire,
but it is necessary for us to live with others (7). The notion of... Show more content on

There is a bond and equality between all persons, because all are created in the
image of God , and because Jesus founded a new brotherly community (GS 32). In
the same vein, solidarity has a moral sense in that the bond unites all human
persons in the basis of common dignity, fundamental equality, and rights. It also
has a sense of protection. Hence, solidarity could be used as a resistance to
insensitive government to achieve the required and honourable goal. Social and
distributive justice can be achieved through solidarity. There are then some obvious
links between solidarity and practical solutions in society. In solidarity, one cannot
find rest while others find no rest. It is a matter of commitment to the lots of
others. The concrete experience is that one must be involved in the lot of those who
are affected. McKenna has a similar view with the above fact when he says, Charity
in truth builds community and brings all people together without imposing barriers
(31). The principle of solidarity helps to see the other whether a person, people, or
nation not just as some kind of instrument but also as a neighbour (64). The United
States Conference of Catholic Bishops also declared that greater attention must be
given to the needs of the poor, the weak, and the vulnerable in a debate often
dominated by more powerful interests ( USCCB Catholic Social Teaching , Web 21
/02/2017). The bishops further emphasise that:

* The strategic vision is very flexible, so entrepreneurial strategy tends to be
deliberate and emergent. This means it fully considered the every aspect of a

entrepreneurial school of thought, organization is like a metal which can easily
be molded into any shape according to the vision and mission of the organization.
The leader is free to do necessary changes and transformation as needed. *
Entrepreneurial strategy tends to take the form of a niche which is a specialized
but profitable segment of the market. It protects the organization niche from the
forces of open and direct competition. * A sound vision and a visionary CEO can
help organizations to sail cohesively through muddy waters. Especially in early or
very difficult years of the organizations. * Strategy exists in the mind of the leader
in the form of a vision of the organization s future. Limitations In my opinion the
entrepreneurial school of thought has the following limitations which I have
discussed below one by one. * In entrepreneurial school of thought the strategy
making is formulated by a single person i.e. the CEO, so it may neglects the voice
of other people in the organization. * Sometimes when implementing strategy the
CEO is not fully aware of the ground level realities of the organization. He may not
be fully aware of the operational
48. Four Components Of Total Quality Management
Quality management ensures that an organization, product or service is consistent. It
has four main components: quality planning, quality assurance, quality control and
quality improvement. It does not only focus on product and service quality, but also
on the means to achieve it. Quality management uses quality assurance and control of
processes as well as products to achieve more consistent quality.
The dynamic changes taking place in the retail market are resulting in a less space
for retailers to differentiate in terms of product assortment, prices and quality since
they all offer the same and opening more space for them to differentiate in terms of
service excellence.
The success of the business is now more related to quality improvement. In retail,
quality is related to all the shapes and characteristics of locations, assortments, ...

The multi perspectives can be an advantage for organizations as depending on a
single definition might lead to problems.
Today, TQM concept is the most comprehensive, it has emerged into the main stream
of organizations and became a function like any other activity like marketing or
commercial.
Total Quality management
TQM is a management philosophy that seeks to integrate all organizational functions,
it starts with identifying who are our customers and what are their requirements.
Every function within an organization has a group of customers who have needs and
requirements. The focus on the relationship between customers and suppliers plays
an important role when attempting to improve quality. TQM starts by forming a link
between the external customers needs, internal customer supplier relationship and
necessities then continues to the external suppliers.
Implementing TQM requires an assessment of the organization s current reality. The

Immediately upon looking at the walls residence, 93 little Hobart Street, one can

house lacks any paint and there are many holes in the porch causing a safety

there is only one bathroom in the entirety of the house. The house is essentially
falling apart with clear holes in the ceiling. One room is used for most things and
there are lots of paintings that line the walls of the home. All of the kids are
crowded into one bed; there is essentially mold on every wall of the house. There
are four children in the house named Jeanette, Lori, Brian, and Maureen. Jeanette is

52. Why Business Matters To God Analysis
Historically the what, where, when, and how of culture has been a struggle of
Christianity in an individual and corporate capacity (Solomon, 1992). Should
Christians ignore, isolate or transform culture? A classic study regarding these
questions was completed by theologian Richard Niebuhr (Niebuhr) in his book,
Christ and Culture. However, Jeff Van Duzer (Van Duzer), author of Why Business
Matters to God, combines Niebuhr s philosophy and Christian business ethics. This
document will examine Niebuhr s typologies, the five types of Christian cultural
engagements from Dozer s Christian ethical business point of view.
Niebuhr s Typologies
Niebuhr s book has been the most influential and a major impact on contemporary
Christians discussions on culture regardless if they were from liberalism on the left
or fundamentalism on the right (Bauder, 2011). According to an observation by
Niebuhr, affluence and influenced tend to transform churches into denominations
(Bauder, 2011). He believed the church represents the lower social class which is
small, personal and inward looking while in contrast denomination represents the
accepted social order and appeals to the intellectual and ruling classes (Bauder, 2011).
Niebuhr suggests that the Church and denominations represent the relationship

Niebuhr s preferred solution to the problem. He wanted a position that could
recognize the cultural corruption, but visualize its potential as an aspect of creation
from which he called Christ the Transformer of Culture or conversionists (Bauder,
2011). The conversionists is concerned with converting the values and goals of the
secular culture into the service of the kingdom of God (Solomon, 1992). In addition,
the conversionists are concerned with culture renewal through Christ (Bauder, 2011).
They transvalue their inherited cultural tradition instead of rejecting it they redirect,
strengthen, and regenerate it (Lewis Anthony,
53. The Problem Of Human Resources
Human resources is the department which deals with certain aspects of a business or
organization including, but not limited to, hiring, administration, and training of
personnel. Therefore, this department is choosing the future of a firm, and their
decisions can either make or break a firm. It should fall under their responsibilities to
be the motivators and promotors of a comfortable and successful work environment.
If we better our human resourcesplatform in such a way that benefits our workers,
we will experience increased production, and more importantly we will yield
greater profits. Recently, we have been rated the number one worst company to
work for in America, according to 24/7 Wall St.. This ranking is based on the
happiness of our employees, of which only fourteen percent of them would
recommend the job to a friend, also according to 24/7 Wall St.. These bad reviews
can be very detrimental to our firm in more than one aspect. Not only will we be
losing employees, but it will be hard to hire new ones, because the bad reviews will
eradicate the desire to work for us. As a result of this, we will have to spend large
amounts of time and money searching for new employees. If we can find a way to
keep our employees happy, and invest some money into the employees happiness,
we will yield a profit which is greater than the cost of employee happiness. A more
involved human resources department will be very beneficial, regardless of the
above. This department has the
