Cerebral circulation is the movement of blood through the vessels that supply the brain, with around 20% of the body's blood flowing to the brain to provide it with oxygen, glucose, and nutrients it needs to function properly, as the brain requires a great deal of energy and blood supply due to its complexity. The rate of cerebral blood flow is 750ml per minute for an adult, representing 15% of cardiac output and ensuring the brain receives the substantial blood flow it needs.
