The Importance Of A Career Assessment Test
I graduated from college and now what? There is nothing more stressful and frustrating than
completing school and not knowing what to do next. Often, college graduates find themselves in a
predicament where they are dissatisfied with their current job in their field of study and do not know
what to do. A career assessment test can serve as a guide for those in need of a career path, direction or
suggestion. The purpose of a career assessment test is to suggest careers one might be well suited for.
There are different assessment tools available online; some are available for a fee, while some are free.
I was reluctant at first to take the tests because I do not believe a test can tell me what career or job I
am well suited for. Furthermore, the assessments are extremely opinionated. The results are based on
information you provide. We may think we are soft and sensitive, but that may necessarily be the case.
When taking a career assessment test administered by careercolleges.com, I came across the following
question: When making decisions do you try to remain objective and consider the facts or do you
allow your feelings and the effect of the decision of others to influence your decision? I always
thought I was a very objective, fact based person, so my answer would simply be I remain objective .
It would have never taken me more than two seconds to answer that question. A few weeks ago at
work one of my student supervisors told me I allow my feelings to cloud my

Analysis Of Leo Tolstoy s The Devil s The White City
All the vanity, all the charm, all of the beauty of life is made up of light and shadow , an idea put forth
by Leo Tolstoy in 1873 within his novel Anna Karenina. Eric Larson expands upon this idea with in
his historically intriguing novel The Devil In The White City , a story of murder, magic, and madness
at the fair that changed America. The novel focuses mainly on the coincidental correlation of events
between H.H.Holmes, America s first serial killer, and Daniel Burnham, the main architect for the
1893 Chicago world s fair. In The Devil In The White City, Larson employs cultured allusions,
horrific juxtaposition, and ominous diction to show how darkness and light not only makeup life but
also naturally lead to one another s ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This entire comparison ends with a second allusion to a pastoral exit that actually holds two
connotations for the death in a spiritual sense as Larson has already alluded to Julia s physical end.
Keeping with the musical side of this allusion is the pastoral exit of a Ballet being the end of a folk
song usually about the beautiful simplicity of life. More with the soul a pastoral exit can also refer to
the leaving of a pastor from a religious assembly. All of this comparison holds true to a theme of the
darkness and lights constant contrast as Holmes is the ender of something joyous such as a song or a
thief of a holy being: the soul. As the novel winds to a close Larson includes Grayer s, the main
detective tasked with bringing holmes to justice, allusion to the lifting of a veil as the last piece of the
puzzle of Howard s, one of the children Holmes murdered, fate is discovered.(Larson 367) The lifting
of the veil is often synonymous with weddings, as the groom lifts his bride s veil and sees her beauty
in its entirety for the first as it is bad luck to see the bride in her dress before the ceremony. This
moment is seen as a sweet and heartfelt instance giving the reader a bright idea to cling too in the
darkness that will soon be revealed. The comparison shows the reader the light within what they have
most likely already realized is a very horrific situation for the

Submarines During World War 1
The common modern view on the U boat is that they were some sort of epically triumphant
mechanical monstrosity. Many people admire the size and advanced technology aboard the U boats
and ignore the fact that they ultimately never achieved their goal of gaining naval control in Europe
and the Atlantic. U boats, short for unterseeboot which translates to undersea boats, were weaponized
submarines used primarily during the World Wars. After the moderate successes of U boats during
World War 1, the Treaty of Versailles did not allow Germany to build naval weaponry. Despite this,
they continued to develop their navy over the next few decades. The Germans prepares a new fleet of
1145 U boats that they hoped would eventually achieve control of the ... Show more content on

Attacking and bombing U boats off the coasts of Germany through the air allowed the Allies to scare
off other potential U boats in fear of them being bombed as well: The escort carriers proved to be a
potent weapon against the U boats because of their ability to put aircraft in the sky over waters distant
from land bases (The Sinking of the Laconia and the U boat War). This description highlights the
effectiveness of aircrafts as a defense mechanism against the submarines. They were very mobile and
thus could be deployed from far away to attack distant places and enemies. Additionally, it was a
method of destroying a U boat that did not take many men or resources. With sonar and radar that
could identify the location of the boats, the aircrafts were able to be flied over and bomb the ships and
water around them. Because of the size of the U boats, they could be easily seen from miles above and
were a sitting duck due to their lack of speed. After many attacks on the U boats, the German navy
was apprehensive about sending many more U boats into the ocean, fearing that they would be
bombed by the airplanes, and this demonstrates the huge effect that airplanes had on the effectiveness

How The Ghana Is Influenced By African Art
In this assignment we look at how the Benin is able to concept the uncivilised nature of African
societies. We will also look at the relationship between the Benin Bronzes, as African art, rather than
modern art in the west. We know that the Benin bronzes are known to be of aesthetic , spiritual and
sentimental value due to its symbolic appraisal of civilisation. They are also one of the most
sophisticated pieces of art.
When looking into the African heritage, we can note it has a vast impact on the modern art world

that fine art is a representation of pre recovery tradition within Europe as paintings were able to give
off the depiction illusion of objects/ people in reasoned environments. Although, the Benin Bronze is
able to become symbolic of idolised bodies, Western Societies did not see this as art , due to its
primitive nature.
The Benin Bronze is seen to give off the illusion of life like through the academic modelling of: light
and shadow gradations upon features around the eyes, mouth and ears, the smooth finishes upon the
softer areas such as the lips and rounded forms in spaces such as the chin and inner eyes. Rather than
depicting emotions, the Benin bronze is able to use distorted forms to express them through
emphasises on certain areas of the artefact such as the fine detail within the headpiece and neck. The
Benin bronze is also able to give the illusionistic imitation of feelings, such as: worship, dread and
concern depending on how the viewer deceives it. It is known that the idea of forming and feeling
emotion within art, was central to the late nineteenth century The historic impact of this is
indisputable.
The artwork of the Benin Bronzes were seen transported to anthropological museums in Germany,
France, England and other nations following the imperialism at the end of the nineteenth century. The

The Models Of The Automotive Industry
As general of a concept the automotive industry is, as time goes, anybody will start to observe the
different car platforms and consumer markets that emerge from the growing industry. One of such
platforms created was the Pony Car platform, or more colloquially know as just the 2 door sports car
platform. And with this new brand of car came a new brand advertising as well as consumer.
Consumers will start to familiarize themselves with the various new ways of advertising through the
years in this market. The American consumer sports car market had one of the most dynamic
advertising markets of the automotive industry, it changed with the decades and contributed to the
creation of the sports car enthusiast demographic we know today. ... Show more content on

These very appeals as well as what Fowles writes about in his article are very relatable to the
automotive industry.
Cars have been an essential part of living for some time now. Ever since mass production allowed for
the wide spread distribution of cars, they have been paramount to everything from our economy to our
daily commute. Globalization along with the growing market caused competition among
manufacturers, and so manufacturers had to find ways to appeal to the new competitive consumer
market. Automotive advertising started to take a new form and targeted peoples particular interests,
emotions, and desires instead of being strictly informative or utilitarian. Even the car themselves had
to change along with the decades to provide luxuries and compete with the market. Although many car
manufactures took steps in the right direction, one great example of this changing market is the 1955
Ford Thunderbird.
For Ford, the Thunderbird was a luxury consumer family car platform that started in 1955. It featured
specifications that fared well in the competitive market. The Thunderbird could have come in either
four seats or two seated versions. Ford advertised the car like they would have any other car, however,
the advertising ultimately did not fit for the two car version of the car. Because of this, the two door
Ford Thunderbird is somewhat of a rarity now due to not having been so successful. For Ford, its
advertising

Why Is It Important for States to Have the Ability to...
Why is it important for states to have the ability to modify/amend or totally change their state s
constitutions? The Founding Fathers instituted a mechanism in the Constitution that allowed it to be
amended, based upon the shifting needs of the nation. A constitution that could not bend would surely
break, in the Founders view. However, to ensure that the Constitution was not amended frequently,
with the whims of the moment, the amendment process was rendered extremely difficult. The
constitution is the organic law of the state because it organizes the government and establishes the
great principles upon which a state or nation is founded. A constitution, like the foundation of a house,
determines the basic shape, but not the details, of that which stands upon it (Miller 2008). For the
states of the union that make up the larger whole of America, there is a similar need to ensure that
constitutions are responsive to constituent s needs. States, given their small size and desire to provide
local services to citizens, have perhaps even more of a need to bestow individualized attention, as the
needs of residents shift and change. But state constitutions are far more limited in their scope: The
U.S. Constitution represents the states granting limited powers to the federal government, while state
constitutions represent the limit of powers that the people have granted to their state governments....
States may amend their constitutions to suit their needs, but the

The Importance Of The Female Egg For Reproduction
Abstract From Aristotle and Plato studying animals. To 1653 William Harvey discovering the
importance of the female egg for reproduction. Anton Van Leeuwenhoek in 1678 used the microscope
to identify sperm as a seed. Elizabeth Osgood Goodrich Willard came up with the term sexology and
opened to the research to understand sex in a whole new level. In this paper we will learn about a
couple different sexologist and how they did the research on sex. Keywords: Havelock Ellis, Kurt
Freund, Richard von Krafft Ebing, Masters Johnson 1897 Havelock Ellis reflected his view of gays
and lesbians as having an inside out, or inverted pattern of erotic attraction. Ellis had a desire to
investigate the nature of sex. He needed to have a physiological understanding of humanity before he
turned his attention to the psychology. Ellis was determined then to become a physician. Despite his
training Ellis never made the practice of his medical training central to his professional life (Bering,
2013). One of this sexologist s most important contributions was his clarifying that homosexuality is a
psychological orientation, not simply a random sex act or behavior involving the same sex. He didn t
personally believe that gay and lesbians were perverts, but he used this term to convey how religious
moralist wrongly saw homosexuals and other deviants as deliberately going against what is right,
since for hundreds of years before it ever connoted anything sexual, pervert was an epithet

Part I: What I Know
I have chosen to write about the reason the German people accepted Hitler s ideology. The German
people allowed the Nazi party take power of Germany. They could have rejected the Nazi party and
the holocaust would have never happened. Millions of Jews were targeted and killed by the infamous
Nazis in an attempt to exterminate them. The German youth were as well as taken in to the ideas of
Nazism and helped spread Hitler s anti Semitic ideas. The German people allowed themselves to
construct death camps for the Jews. They violated so many laws against humanity with their horrible
experiments and torture. They forced the Jews to work for the Nazi ... Show more content on

In the article By The History Place Adolf Hitler blamed the Jewish people for the loss of World War II.
He used many tactics to persuade public opinion to favor his anti Semitic ideas. The tough conditions
placed on the German people caused by the loss of World War II left many bitter. The German people
became desperate for a solution to solve the economic depression. Hitler used this to his advantage by
promising people change in the country. Hitler promised to make the country into a superpower by
exterminating the Jewish people (The History Place).
Hitler insisted that the Aryan race was descended to become a master race that had the right to govern
the world. He as well as told the public that the Jews wanted to keep the German people from
assuming its rightful position as rulers of the world (The History Place). He used TV, radio,
Newspapers, and movies to spread Nazi ideology throughout Germany. He put into effect laws that
demoralized Jews which helped put in place that the Jews were nothing more than an animal. This
huge amount of propaganda combined with the aftermath of World War I caused the Nazi party and

Skin Cancer In Dogs Essay
Skin cancer in dogs is very common and is found in different forms. It is not always possible to see
any changes to the cancer cell, unlike in humans where we can see changes in color etc. Therefore a
biopsy is the only guaranteed way to confirm if they are benign or malignant. A biopsy is simply the
removal of a small sample of the tumor which is sent off for pathology testing. If the tumor is small
your vet may remove all of it to be used for the biopsy.
If the growth is larger, over an inch in diameter, then your vet will take a cell sample by aspiration.
This is a simple procedure where they insert a fine needle into the tumor and withdraw a small amount
of the cell for further testing.

inclusion cysts form when dry secretions block hair follicles, this causes a build up of hair and sebum

They are a dome like growth that can vary in size, anything up to an inch and a half but usually
smaller. If they become infected drainage is recommended which occasionally leads to a cure. One
option is to have it removed but this is rare.
Treatment and Prevention Of Skin Cancer In Dogs

1. Make a habit of checking your dog s body and skin for lumps bumps and any tell tale signs of skin
cancer. I usually do it when I bath or groom my dog
2. Ensure your loyal companion has a check up with a veterinarian at least once a year
3. Be mindful of their diet. A good balanced diet will help prevent many ailments and help build up
natural immunities to many skin problems and canine cancers.

Epistle To Cangrande By Dante Alighieri
Dante Alighieri was an Italian poet in the late Middle Ages; he developed a theory or method for
interpreting novels and poetry in his Epistle to Cangrande. The theory is referred to as Dante s Theory.
Readers can use the theory to gain a better understanding of any story. The theory has four levels with
the first being the literal or historical level. This level is what readers learn on the surface of the story,
information of real historical or geographical events. The second level contains political insight. The
political level displays how humans relate to others and how the connections between members of a
group, community, or society are affected. The third level shifts into the moral or psychological aspect
of novels; the characters ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
With humans constantly interacting, readers can acquire an understanding of how humans relate to
others and how an individual s community affects his or her actions. The Tortilla Curtain
acknowledges the way one group of people reacts to another group. Delaney wanted to be accepting of
the Mexican immigrants until he actually had to interacted with one in Candido; he then fell back into
the way his people felt about Candido s people. After examining the novel on a political level readers
learn that humans are greedy and protective; Delaney s community didn t want to share anything with
Candido s community. They built a wall to keep the immigrants out of their community. They also
demolished the labor exchange to stop immigrants from being able to find work claiming it was an
experiment that didn t work (Boyles 192). Ceremony exhibited the political level of interpretation in
the sense that Native Americans have a collective conscious and white people simply don t understand
it. Silko touches again on how one group interacts with another group when Tayo is finding his place;
he isn t fully accepted by Natives because he is half white and he isn t accepted by whites because his
is half Native. Emo s hatred for Tayo results directly from the fact that Tayo is not fully Native, he s
only half. Silko also demonstrated the way white people mistreat the Native Americans and
misunderstand the Native ceremonies and events. Old Betonie explains that the Gallup Ceremonies,
organized by the white people, are good for the tourist business but they are for entertainment only
(116). The white people simply don t understand the point of the ceremonies so they use the
ceremonies to their advantage. Readers can begin to understand that each group in society thinks just a
little differently than another group. Understanding other communities or societies becomes

Water Purification Lab
Abstract: The main objective of this lab was to determine how to effectively measure and compare
bacteria in different water sources, specifically in this lab by using Coleman Drinking Water
Purification Tablets. The tablets did not eliminate bacteria to the level found in tap water, however
they were still very effective at eliminating bacteria. The tablets as a result can be trusted by the user
to remove any unnecessary health risk when drinking water from an untreated source.

purification is the most important thing to have while out hiking in the backcountry. A real world
scenario was the only way of being able to properly tell whether or not the Iodine tablets could be
counted upon, when they are the only thing being used for water remediation. The lab procedure start
by taking a river water sample from the Menomonee River, which was then separated into three 1L
beakers which were then filled to the range of .95L to 1L. The water samples as is, were then swabbed
for bacteria, and rubbed across a Tryptic Soy Agar plate (TSA), to facilitate growth of bacteria if any
was present in the water. The water was then treated with the drinking water tablets per their
instructions, and was then swabbed again for bacteria after the 35 minute mark. This second swab was
then also streaked across a TSA plate in order to check if there was any bacteria still present in the
water. The previous methods were also performed concurrently with three identical amounts of water
from the city of Milwaukee tap water. This was done to account for any bacteria that could have
entered the water from the air, due to the open air beakers. The bacteria, if present on the TSA plates,
were then allowed to grow over several days, and the resulting bacteria colonies were then counted,
and purification levels were compared between the drinking water tablets and the treated city

The Civil war waged for an entire 4 years. Between the year 1861 and 1865. And the opponents in the

Lincoln became commander in chief of the United States, and because publicly pitted himself against

Fans Are Not Like In Sports Stadiums
Each year thousands of people leave events because stadiums do not do much to encourage them to
come back. Without incentives, stadiums will lose many people at events and that results in a major
loss of income. In order for a stadium to be successful, owners must intimately know what fans
dislike, have a clear understanding of what they like, and figure out what fans want in sports stadiums
in order for them to come back. A big amount of money is made in stadiums when the owners find out
what the fans like seeing in the stadiums and even trying to make what they like even better, like The
unique roof that redirects the noise onto the visitor s team sideline. This definitely must be true since
the Vikings are undefeated still, somehow (The ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Argumentative Essay On Stickers
Plate 1
GRAFFITI: STICKERS
Sticker art (also known as sticker bombing, sticker slapping, and sticker tagging) is a form of street art
in which an image or message is publicly displayed using stickers. Stickers leave a mark that can
affect a person s mood, cause thought, and inspire a reaction. Stickers are cheaper, more effective, and
less risky than other forms of graffiti (tags, throw ups, etc). The most common stickers found in Lower
Manhattan include large scale wheatpaste stickers and small vinyl stickers that are difficult to remove.
As long as stickers are being put up faster than they weather or are cleaned, they are accumulating.
For cities, stickers provide a constant maintenance battle.

graffiti artists often use their tag in their pieces, following the practice of traditional artists who sign
their work. Unlike stickers, tags have an extremely long lifespan and can often last for years on public

Desire In Tennessee Williams A Streetcar Named Desire
According to Psychologytoday.com, the term Desire derives itself from the Latin word Desiderare,
meaning, To long or wish for . Desires are often regarded as sexual, lustful urges for pleasure and
satisfaction. However, our desires can be a result of personal insecurities that we may feel and in turn,
we desire to feel secure and comfortable at any costs. A Streetcar Named Desire written by Tennessee
Williams is a play that displays the theme of desire in many scenes but not only in a sexual way.
Desire is shown within the play through Stanley s desire for power and control, Blanche s desire for
security and her desire to live in a fantasy world. Stanley portrays the alpha male where he shows

Initially, Stanley believes Blanche has sold her and Stella s family estate without giving Stella her cut
of the profit. Stanley s feels that his power is threatened as he believes he is being cheated by Blanche
and brings up the Napoleonic code which states that a wife and husband s belongings are shared.
Stanley tells Stella, ... and when you re swindled under the Napoleonic code I m swindled too. And I
don t like to be swindled (Williams, 33). Stanley explains to Stella how if she loses money through
Blanche, the code states that he loses the money too due to the sharing of possessions between
spouses. This is where we first see Stanley s desire for power and control as it is seen that he becomes
angry with the fact that Blanche potentially manipulates him. In many scenes of the play, Stanley s
assertiveness and need for control is seen through his actions. In scene eight of the play, Stella is
angered by Stanley s actions at the dinner table and demands that he wash up and help clear the table.
Angered by Stella s demands, Stanley feels that Blanche and Stella see him as weak. His desire to
regain his power and control takes over as he states, ...And I am the king around here, so don t forget

United Stats V.S India and the Different Electoral Systems
Despite a total number of forty democracies throughout the world, many countries, such as the United
States, have more men employed in higher positions in the political sphere, especially in the
legislature. Generally, in worldwide legislatures and democracies, there are not many women present
in the legislature, if any at all. However, one democracy that is taking the initiative in empowering
women and giving them equal and fair opportunities as men in the political sphere is India. This paper
will explore the reason why more women have seats in the Parliament of India as opposed to the
Congress of the United States. Also, this paper will establish the difference between a bi party and a

Indian politicians believed that the objective of the policy for women s development should consist of
a shift of attitude from one of compassion and welfare to that of treatment of women as equal partners
with men, (Madhok). One way the Indian government promoted it was that nearly five years ago, the
government brought in legislation reserving seats for women on panchayats, or councils which make
decisions on every important decision in village political life. Originally the sole preserve of men,
panchayats now have women members and leaders, who are slowly beginning to challenge feudal
traditions and change the way the councils run. The society in India is beginning to accept women in
high political positions. In this case, political culture plays a significant role since Indian society
promotes the representation of women, and thus, it is a part of that nation s culture. Since Indian
society supports more representation of women, or at least equal representation given the population
size, political culture helps push the women s movement forward. Not only are there seats reserved for
women on panchayats, or the local form of government, but there is a quota system present in all three
tiers of government. Quotas are being introduced in countries that do not have a long history of
mobilization of women and of women s integration

The Separative Self In Sylvia Plath s The Bell Jar
As Plath s novel demonstrates, people often fall victim to their environments. In her article The
Separative Self in Sylvia Plath s The Bell Jar Diane S. Bonds explains how The Bell Jar offers a
brilliant evocation of the oppressive atmosphere of the 1950s and the soul destroying effect this
atmosphere could have on ambitious, high minded young women like Plath (Bonds). Bonds
psychologically analyzes Esther s thoughts and actions to understand her mental decline. She makes
the claim that Esther is haunted by images suggesting the self mutilations of marriage and motherhood
(Bonds). She proves her assertion with the evidence that Esther sees the world as a series of
dismembered body parts. Esther cites the goggle eyed headlines (1) staring up at her while walking
through New York. She details her friend Doreen s physical characteristics: [she] had bright white hair
standing out in cotton candy fluff round her head and blue eyes like transparent agate marbles, hard
and polished and just about indestructible (4). When she returns home to Massachusetts, she describes
her neighbor, Dodo Conway: Not five feet tall, with a grotesque, protruding stomach (116). In all of
these instances, Esther describes human beings through highlighting their body parts; however, she
largely compares those parts to inanimate objects. She uses the word eyes to describe a headline,
which is lifeless.

A Look At Non Alzheimer s Disease
A Look At Non Alzheimer s Disease Dementias
By Katie Bergstrom, PA S
ABSTRACT:
The most common tendency in assessing patients who display signs of dementia is to evaluate them
for Alzheimer s Disease. This means that Vascular Dementia, Dementia with Lewy Bodies, and
Parkinson s Disease Dementia are conversely overlooked as possible diagnoses. Special attention to
clinical presentation and the use of diagnostic tests (such as the MRI) and assessment scales (like the
Mini Mental State Exam) aid in distinguishing between these diseases, and therefore better the
evaluation process. There are other telltale markers that aid in assessing these diseases, as well.
Alzheimer s Disease often presents with a slow decline in memory, while Vascular Dementia patients
experiences sharp declines in cognition. Patients suffering from Parkinson s Disease Dementia and
Dementia with Lewy bodies often present with symptoms of psychoses and hallucinations as well as
cognitive impairments, and they differ in the onset time of dementia. The early detection of cognitive
decline is important not only for the treatment but also for improving the caregiver burden of these
patients. Management of these disorders is focused on symptomatic relief, but it is also important to
minimize life style risk factors for all dementias.
INTRODUCTION:
Although Alzheimer s Disease (AD) is the most widely known cause of dementia in the elderly
population, there are many other explanations and clinical diagnoses that

The Tort Of Negligence Developed
A tort might be stated as a civil wrong not happening out of a contract or a relationship created on
trust, which is considered by a harm of the legal right preserved on others and an act for repressible
damages. Therefore the objective of torts is toward recompense the victim and not penalizes the wrong
person. Before we start a ride into in what way tort law operates it would be sensible to know the
nature of the torts committed and their growths over the years. This would not lone help in considerate
the current situation in a clearer manner but can also deliver a logic of history about torts.
During the early primary 1800 s the tort of negligence developed as a single type of torts owed to the
fact that events in the tort of negligence were growing suggestively throughout that period. Then, the
awareness of the imposition of a duty of care in negligence developed alongside cases such as Heaven
v Pender (1883), and extra outstandingly case of Donoghue v Stevenson (1932) that remains the
leading case in negligence. This case clarifies that; Mrs Donoghue and her pal went to a cafe in
Paisley. At the cafe, Mrs Donoghues pal purchased her a drink which was a ginger beer float
consisting of ginger beer that stood in an cloudy bottle. After Mrs Donoghue drank out of the drink in
a beer cup, her pal topped up the drink, and then they found in the ginger beer bottle decomposed
leftovers of a snail. Mrs Donoghue claimed that the recalls of seeing the snail in the ginger beer

Discuss The Impact Of Divorce On Children
According to Virginia Rutter, there has been an ongoing argument of whether or not divorce is a good
thing (Rutter 159). An argument is made that the decline of the impact of divorce on children is due to
the number of children involved, decreasing from 1.34 children to less than one child (Rutter 159).
However, the statement of the impact of divorce being lessened due to less children being caught in
the middle appears to be intellectually disingenuous. Regardless of their being less children, the
children that are involved from the divorce will still be impacted greatly. Nevertheless, Rutter is
correct in saying that there are some sets of circumstances where divorce is the better option. When
my father divorced my mother, they decided that

Why Veterinary Medicine Is A Doctor But For Animals

Research Question: What is Vet Medicine and how does it relate to my career goals?
Topic #1: What is veterinary medicine?
Question 1: What type of classes should I take in high school? o Notes/Citation Veterinary Medicine is
a doctor but for animals. Veterinary medicine involves medical, diagnostic, surgical, dental, and
therapeutic principles to all types of animals. If a client got bit by an infected animal, a human doctor
might just send them to the vet for a better understanding and this might just be another way
veterinarians help humans as well. Most people who go into this field starts learning about what type
of animals they want to handle by learning all about them in high school... even if the person might
already know it is still a requirement to do so. Take me, for instance, I want to take care of companion
animals (which are dogs, cats, and etc.) when I start my career, but I still have to learn about other

The Effects Of Swedish Soil On The World
On Swedish soil, in September of 2014, a miracle happened. The world witnessed the first ever baby
to be born from a woman s transplanted womb. A healthy baby boy, to be exact. Scientists have
marveled over this new advancement simply because of the fact that they have been trying to do just
this for years without success. Trial after trial has been made over the years, but the professors and
scientists of the University of Gothenburg (where the baby was born) weren t giving up. And good
thing they didn t, because their work has certainly paid off. This is a huge landmark for medical
science all over the world, as there is now a way for women who have uterus problems (for one reason
or another) to have children.
For hundreds of years ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
As of now, there are three options put forth to these women: adoption or gestational surrogacy. Uterus
transplantation (hereafter UTx ) creates a third option: to conceive and gestate a pregnancy, thereby
fulfilling what some women describe as a desire not just for my own child but for my own pregnancy .
(Catsanos, Ruby, Wendy Rogers, and Mianna Lotz.) While adoption and surrogacy are both very
viable options, uterus transplantation has become quite popular, even though the likelihood of actually
conceiving and birthing a child has been seemingly impossible until now. The procedure to remove a
uterus is called a hysterectomy. To prove just how popular these have become, an estimated total of 9
million woman of age to reproduce have had a hysterectomy, around 5,000 every year in the United
States alone.
These uterine transplants are performed by first surgically removing the woman s uterus (if she has
one) in a hysterectomy procedure, and then transplanting the healthy, donated uterus into its place.
Usually, in the first surgery to remove the uterus, the fallopian tubes and ovaries will both be removed
as well. To even be considered as a potential candidate for this surgery, the woman needs to be of
childbearing age, which in most cases, the women are in their 30s. However, this specific transplant is
only designed to be a temporary fix. The original idea for

The Importance Of Teaching And Classroom Management
Throughout my time on professional placement not only was I given opportunities to teach, I was also
given opportunities to observe my mentor teacher and other teachers. Through these observations I
gained an understanding of multiple aspects of teaching and classroom management that I would often
miss or be unaware of during my own teaching. When analysing my observations, there were a
number of themes that stood out. However, it was the students that interested me the most. The school
is largely multicultural with over 35% of the school population was born outside Australia in 52
different countries. When observing both theory and practical classes, I noticed a wide range of
abilities in physical terms including skill and fitness, as well as cognitive abilities. On a number of
occasions, I witnessed students lack of engagement with a task or activity, which would then in turn
affect students motivation and ability to stay on track with the task leading to off task behavior. Sallis
and McKenzie (1991) argued that positive experiences in PE could influence children to adopt
physically active adult lifestyles which can improve public health. It is, therefore, important to
understand the motivational, cognitive, and affective processes that can determine whether children
will regard PE as a valuable, enjoyable, and rewarding experience, or as a worthless, boring, and
humiliating one. The following essay will reflect and analyse on the themes of, motivation influenced

Essay on Accounting Communications between Males and Females
Communication can be a daunting task in today society. The forms of communication are constantly
changing and evolving. In the beginning stages of humanity talking was irrelevant. The actions of a
human spoke louder than words. However, the age of technology is slowly destroying not only the
communication but also the society itself. In the current age humans are living in a life created for
them. The people will have been trained to focus more on the outside world rather than the inside
world. Studies show that the inside world actually produces the physical world. Nothing can be

Either male or female has the power to say the wrong words and hostile actions become available.
Arguments are the main focus within a distraught couple. Honestly, words carry an abundance of
power. A select word can be associated with a tragedy and will spark different attitudes instantly. For
example, couples will argue all the time. However, it isn t until one strike a nerve with a word that

The empirical evidence, suggests that immigrants improve labor market efficiency by providing
additional and complementary labor force. Labor market impact of immigration depends on the size
and geographic location of the immigrant population and on the skills they bring to the labor market
and how these skills compare with those of natives (Borjas, 2006:4). Broadly speaking, immigration is
not detrimental to the host labor market or economy. Most of the research on the labor market impact
of immigration has been concerned with the impact of immigration on wages rather than labor force
participation or unemployment rates.
Borjas (2003) noted that the impact of wages fluctuates from study to study but clusters around zero
which is contradictory with theoretical prediction of a downward pressure. Whether the reasons are
methodological issues (misspecification, endogeneity, and heterogeneity), market forces in specific

highlight that the downward effects is larger in more rigid labor markets, that studies that do not

chapter 13 Public Relations and Marketing is the main focus. Marketing is the process of researching,
creating, refining, and promoting a product or service and distributing that product or service to
targeted consumers (pg. 402 3). Public relations are the values driven management of relationships
between an organization and the publics that can affect its success (pg.403). Dillaway had to collect
research to better understand how to gain and keep customers. In the process of her research she was
also able to better advertise Bright House services as well. For example, Dillaway informed the class
how Bright House created a commercial to aim directly at Bakersfield customers in doing this the
commercial was filmed here. Chapter 13 also defines advertising as controlled media in an attempt to
influence the actions of targeted publics. Going back to the Bakersfield commercial, we can see the
that the targeted publics was Bakersfield consumers. Miranda Whitworth is the Marketing Manager

Deer Or Elk Carcass
In Nevada, a deer or elk carcass are disposed of in one of two ways: the head and spinal cord can be
buried, or disposed of at an approved landfill. There are no captive cervids in Nevada. Legislation
passed in 2005 does not allow captive cervid ranches in the state of Nevada. This also means that no
captive elk, white tailed deer, or mule deer ranches exist in the state (MI Department of Natural
Resources 2014).
Oregon
Although CWD has not been detected in Oregon, wildlife managers in the state are still actively
testing for this prion disease (Oregon Fish Wildlife website). Since 2002 2003, a total of 17,009 hunter
harvested and targeted surveillance deer and elk have been tested statewide. As of October 2014,

Hunters that do not abide by these regulations can be cited with a misdemeanor (Hamway 2017).
As of November of 2002, the Oregon Fish Wildlife Commission issued a regulation imposing a
permanent ban on the importation of live cervids (except fallow deer or reindeer originating from
Oregon and used for educational or display purposes). This regulation was adopted as a risk reduction
measure involving the potential import of CWD and transmission of the disease to the state s cervid
populations (wild and farmed) (MI Department of Natural Resources 2014).
Since June 2009, captive cervid producers have been given the option to enroll in a Voluntary CWD
Monitored Herd program via an application to the Wildlife Division Administrator. As a condition for
monitored herd status, all captive North American deer and elk (6 months of age or older) dying of
any cause, must be sampled for CWD by a federally accredited veterinarian, or an Oregon Department
of Fish and Wildlife veterinarian or at a veterinary diagnostic laboratory by a veterinary pathologist.
Submissions [are] sent to National Veterinary Service Laboratories (NVSL) by the accredited
veterinarian or pathologist (MI Department of Natural Resources 2014). Also, mortality reporting

Antigone Resistance To Authority Analysis
In our society today, selfishness is common, yet frowned upon because of the bad reputation it has.
Being selfish is the act of being solely concerned about yourself. Caring about yourself is part of your
growth as a person; sometimes you need time to just focus on your own being. Rebellion, often times
categorized as a type of selfishness, is also part of our human growth. In the greek tragedy Antigone
by Sophocles, and the article Resistance To Authority By Michael Schreiner, the authors both illustrate
the idea of selfishness being acceptable to certain extents. Through these sources, we can understand
that selfishness can be justified as doing what you feel is right and can be acceptable as a human
characteristic, as long as it doesn t go far enough to harm others. ... Show more content on

Although Antigone was selfish by going against Creon s rules and burying her forbidden brother, she
believed that if she didn t it was going against spiritual rule; in her head it was the right thing to do:
Antigone: Be what seems right of you ; Him I will bury.
Selfish or not, if Antigone didn t bury her brother she would have gone against spiritual rule.
Selfishness is a necessity in personal growth and spiritual gain. Sometimes you have to give up certain
things to follow what you believe in, this is a positive type of caring about only yourself.
Antigone: ... If This is approved in Heaven, why let me suffer, And own that I have sinned...
It isn t wrong to be selfish because of your spiritual beliefs; everyone believes in something and
should not be punished for it. Sophocles also examined the idea of selfishness through Creon. Creon s
selfishness wasn t always justified though. His selfishness rooted from the rage inside him. Haemon:
Die as she may, she shall not die alone. Creon: Art thou grown bold enough to threaten,

Women s Roles Of Women
Women play an important role in any society. However, throughout history, women are held separate
and unequal to men. In From The Thousand and One Knights, Aladdin s Wonderful lamp the roles of
women is to find marriage and remain modest to the non Mahram. Non Mahram is someone who
woman can marry, and someone who women should cover their self in front of. In the epic, from
Sundiata, the role of women is defined only in relationship to men who hold a high position in society
and to show obedience towards them. Women in both stories are highly influential. However, if there
stories were read from a native person s point of view, such as a Persian or an Egyptian, he or she
would have a better understanding for this Islamic culture. Sharia law is applied to every Islamic
country. One of the laws allowed men to practice polygamy, where a man can have multiple
simultaneous wives. Marriage is a vital in a Muslims life. In Islamic traditions, men are the head of
their family and the women should treat them with obedience. Although women s roles in both stories
are very much unequal to men, women are highly depended and needed in men s lives. The role of
women in Sundiata and Aladdin is to follow Islamic traditions of what a Muslim woman should be.
In Sundiata, the role of women is defined only in relationship to men who hold a high position in
society and to show obedience towards them because it is a part of Islamic traditions. In order for the
king to protect his city, the

How Testing Can Improve Quality Of The Software
Introduction
This report is going to explain my opinion on how testing software has the ability to significantly
improve the quality. I have read certain books that give different reasons for the purpose of testing and
how well it actually improves the software, and will reference these as I use them throughout the
report. Firstly my opinion on testing is that from experience, I have found testing to help greatly
towards improving the quality of the software as it basically breaks down the frame and structure of
the software which allows you to see every single line of code in detail and gives you a different
perspective so that you can decide what you can do exactly in order to improve the quality. Software
Quality is something everyone wants. Managers know that they want high quality, software
developers know they want to produce a quality product, and users insist that software work
consistently and be reliable. (William E. Lewis, 2004)
The principles of testing
The first principle of testing is that it allows the user to see defects in the software in the event that
there are any along the lines of syntax errors or if the programmer has left out a semi colon. Testing
always reduces the number of undiscovered defects remaining in the software but even if no defects
are found, it is not a proof of correctness. (ISTQB Exam Certification) Another one would be the fact
that it would be impossible to test every single combination of inputs therefore managing the risks and

  • 2. The Importance Of A Career Assessment Test I graduated from college and now what? There is nothing more stressful and frustrating than completing school and not knowing what to do next. Often, college graduates find themselves in a predicament where they are dissatisfied with their current job in their field of study and do not know what to do. A career assessment test can serve as a guide for those in need of a career path, direction or suggestion. The purpose of a career assessment test is to suggest careers one might be well suited for. There are different assessment tools available online; some are available for a fee, while some are free. I was reluctant at first to take the tests because I do not believe a test can tell me what career or job I am well suited for. Furthermore, the assessments are extremely opinionated. The results are based on information you provide. We may think we are soft and sensitive, but that may necessarily be the case. When taking a career assessment test administered by careercolleges.com, I came across the following question: When making decisions do you try to remain objective and consider the facts or do you allow your feelings and the effect of the decision of others to influence your decision? I always thought I was a very objective, fact based person, so my answer would simply be I remain objective . It would have never taken me more than two seconds to answer that question. A few weeks ago at work one of my student supervisors told me I allow my feelings to cloud my ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Analysis Of Leo Tolstoy s The Devil s The White City All the vanity, all the charm, all of the beauty of life is made up of light and shadow , an idea put forth by Leo Tolstoy in 1873 within his novel Anna Karenina. Eric Larson expands upon this idea with in his historically intriguing novel The Devil In The White City , a story of murder, magic, and madness at the fair that changed America. The novel focuses mainly on the coincidental correlation of events between H.H.Holmes, America s first serial killer, and Daniel Burnham, the main architect for the 1893 Chicago world s fair. In The Devil In The White City, Larson employs cultured allusions, horrific juxtaposition, and ominous diction to show how darkness and light not only makeup life but also naturally lead to one another s ... This entire comparison ends with a second allusion to a pastoral exit that actually holds two connotations for the death in a spiritual sense as Larson has already alluded to Julia s physical end. Keeping with the musical side of this allusion is the pastoral exit of a Ballet being the end of a folk song usually about the beautiful simplicity of life. More with the soul a pastoral exit can also refer to the leaving of a pastor from a religious assembly. All of this comparison holds true to a theme of the darkness and lights constant contrast as Holmes is the ender of something joyous such as a song or a thief of a holy being: the soul. As the novel winds to a close Larson includes Grayer s, the main detective tasked with bringing holmes to justice, allusion to the lifting of a veil as the last piece of the puzzle of Howard s, one of the children Holmes murdered, fate is discovered.(Larson 367) The lifting of the veil is often synonymous with weddings, as the groom lifts his bride s veil and sees her beauty in its entirety for the first as it is bad luck to see the bride in her dress before the ceremony. This moment is seen as a sweet and heartfelt instance giving the reader a bright idea to cling too in the darkness that will soon be revealed. • 5. Submarines During World War 1 The common modern view on the U boat is that they were some sort of epically triumphant mechanical monstrosity. Many people admire the size and advanced technology aboard the U boats and ignore the fact that they ultimately never achieved their goal of gaining naval control in Europe and the Atlantic. U boats, short for unterseeboot which translates to undersea boats, were weaponized submarines used primarily during the World Wars. After the moderate successes of U boats during World War 1, the Treaty of Versailles did not allow Germany to build naval weaponry. Despite this, they continued to develop their navy over the next few decades. The Germans prepares a new fleet of 1145 U boats that they hoped would eventually achieve control of the ... Attacking and bombing U boats off the coasts of Germany through the air allowed the Allies to scare off other potential U boats in fear of them being bombed as well: The escort carriers proved to be a potent weapon against the U boats because of their ability to put aircraft in the sky over waters distant from land bases (The Sinking of the Laconia and the U boat War). This description highlights the effectiveness of aircrafts as a defense mechanism against the submarines. They were very mobile and thus could be deployed from far away to attack distant places and enemies. Additionally, it was a method of destroying a U boat that did not take many men or resources. With sonar and radar that could identify the location of the boats, the aircrafts were able to be flied over and bomb the ships and water around them. Because of the size of the U boats, they could be easily seen from miles above and were a sitting duck due to their lack of speed. After many attacks on the U boats, the German navy was apprehensive about sending many more U boats into the ocean, fearing that they would be bombed by the airplanes, and this demonstrates the huge effect that airplanes had on the effectiveness of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... These very appeals as well as what Fowles writes about in his article are very relatable to the automotive industry. Cars have been an essential part of living for some time now. Ever since mass production allowed for the wide spread distribution of cars, they have been paramount to everything from our economy to our daily commute. Globalization along with the growing market caused competition among manufacturers, and so manufacturers had to find ways to appeal to the new competitive consumer market. Automotive advertising started to take a new form and targeted peoples particular interests, emotions, and desires instead of being strictly informative or utilitarian. Even the car themselves had to change along with the decades to provide luxuries and compete with the market. Although many car manufactures took steps in the right direction, one great example of this changing market is the 1955 Ford Thunderbird. For Ford, the Thunderbird was a luxury consumer family car platform that started in 1955. It featured specifications that fared well in the competitive market. The Thunderbird could have come in either four seats or two seated versions. Ford advertised the car like they would have any other car, however, the advertising ultimately did not fit for the two car version of the car. Because of this, the two door Ford Thunderbird is somewhat of a rarity now due to not having been so successful. For Ford, its advertising ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 9. Why Is It Important for States to Have the Ability to... Why is it important for states to have the ability to modify/amend or totally change their state s constitutions? The Founding Fathers instituted a mechanism in the Constitution that allowed it to be amended, based upon the shifting needs of the nation. A constitution that could not bend would surely break, in the Founders view. However, to ensure that the Constitution was not amended frequently, with the whims of the moment, the amendment process was rendered extremely difficult. The constitution is the organic law of the state because it organizes the government and establishes the great principles upon which a state or nation is founded. A constitution, like the foundation of a house, determines the basic shape, but not the details, of that which stands upon it (Miller 2008). For the states of the union that make up the larger whole of America, there is a similar need to ensure that constitutions are responsive to constituent s needs. States, given their small size and desire to provide local services to citizens, have perhaps even more of a need to bestow individualized attention, as the needs of residents shift and change. But state constitutions are far more limited in their scope: The U.S. Constitution represents the states granting limited powers to the federal government, while state constitutions represent the limit of powers that the people have granted to their state governments.... Ellis had a desire to investigate the nature of sex. He needed to have a physiological understanding of humanity before he turned his attention to the psychology. Ellis was determined then to become a physician. Despite his training Ellis never made the practice of his medical training central to his professional life (Bering, 2013). One of this sexologist s most important contributions was his clarifying that homosexuality is a psychological orientation, not simply a random sex act or behavior involving the same sex. He didn t personally believe that gay and lesbians were perverts, but he used this term to convey how religious moralist wrongly saw homosexuals and other deviants as deliberately going against what is right, since for hundreds of years before it ever connoted anything sexual, pervert was an epithet ... A biopsy is simply the removal of a small sample of the tumor which is sent off for pathology testing. If the tumor is small your vet may remove all of it to be used for the biopsy. After examining the novel on a political level readers learn that humans are greedy and protective; Delaney s community didn t want to share anything with Candido s community. They built a wall to keep the immigrants out of their community. They also demolished the labor exchange to stop immigrants from being able to find work claiming it was an experiment that didn t work (Boyles 192). Silko touches again on how one group interacts with another group when Tayo is finding his place; he isn t fully accepted by Natives because he is half white and he isn t accepted by whites because his is half Native. Emo s hatred for Tayo results directly from the fact that Tayo is not fully Native, he s only half. Without incentives, stadiums will lose many people at events and that results in a major loss of income. In order for a stadium to be successful, owners must intimately know what fans dislike, have a clear understanding of what they like, and figure out what fans want in sports stadiums in order for them to come back. Argumentative Essay On Stickers Plate 1 GRAFFITI: STICKERS Sticker art (also known as sticker bombing, sticker slapping, and sticker tagging) is a form of street art in which an image or message is publicly displayed using stickers. Stickers leave a mark that can affect a person s mood, cause thought, and inspire a reaction. Stickers are cheaper, more effective, and less risky than other forms of graffiti (tags, throw ups, etc). The most common stickers found in Lower Manhattan include large scale wheatpaste stickers and small vinyl stickers that are difficult to remove. Indian politicians believed that the objective of the policy for women s development should consist of a shift of attitude from one of compassion and welfare to that of treatment of women as equal partners with men, (Madhok). One way the Indian government promoted it was that nearly five years ago, the government brought in legislation reserving seats for women on panchayats, or councils which make decisions on every important decision in village political life. Originally the sole preserve of men, panchayats now have women members and leaders, who are slowly beginning to challenge feudal traditions and change the way the councils run. The society in India is beginning to accept women in high political positions. In this case, political culture plays a significant role since Indian society promotes the representation of women, and thus, it is a part of that nation s culture. Since Indian society supports more representation of women, or at least equal representation given the population size, political culture helps push the women s movement forward. Not only are there seats reserved for women on panchayats, or the local form of government, but there is a quota system present in all three tiers of government. A Look At Non Alzheimer s Disease A Look At Non Alzheimer s Disease Dementias By Katie Bergstrom, PA S ABSTRACT: The most common tendency in assessing patients who display signs of dementia is to evaluate them for Alzheimer s Disease. This means that Vascular Dementia, Dementia with Lewy Bodies, and Parkinson s Disease Dementia are conversely overlooked as possible diagnoses. Special attention to clinical presentation and the use of diagnostic tests (such as the MRI) and assessment scales (like the Mini Mental State Exam) aid in distinguishing between these diseases, and therefore better the evaluation process. There are other telltale markers that aid in assessing these diseases, as well. Alzheimer s Disease often presents with a slow decline in memory, while Vascular Dementia patients experiences sharp declines in cognition. Patients suffering from Parkinson s Disease Dementia and Dementia with Lewy bodies often present with symptoms of psychoses and hallucinations as well as cognitive impairments, and they differ in the onset time of dementia. The early detection of cognitive decline is important not only for the treatment but also for improving the caregiver burden of these patients. The Tort Of Negligence Developed A tort might be stated as a civil wrong not happening out of a contract or a relationship created on trust, which is considered by a harm of the legal right preserved on others and an act for repressible damages. Therefore the objective of torts is toward recompense the victim and not penalizes the wrong person. Before we start a ride into in what way tort law operates it would be sensible to know the nature of the torts committed and their growths over the years. This would not lone help in considerate the current situation in a clearer manner but can also deliver a logic of history about torts. During the early primary 1800 s the tort of negligence developed as a single type of torts owed to the fact that events in the tort of negligence were growing suggestively throughout that period. Then, the awareness of the imposition of a duty of care in negligence developed alongside cases such as Heaven v Pender (1883), and extra outstandingly case of Donoghue v Stevenson (1932) that remains the leading case in negligence. This case clarifies that; Mrs Donoghue and her pal went to a cafe in Paisley. Uterus transplantation (hereafter UTx ) creates a third option: to conceive and gestate a pregnancy, thereby fulfilling what some women describe as a desire not just for my own child but for my own pregnancy . (Catsanos, Ruby, Wendy Rogers, and Mianna Lotz.) While adoption and surrogacy are both very viable options, uterus transplantation has become quite popular, even though the likelihood of actually conceiving and birthing a child has been seemingly impossible until now. As of November of 2002, the Oregon Fish Wildlife Commission issued a regulation imposing a permanent ban on the importation of live cervids (except fallow deer or reindeer originating from Oregon and used for educational or display purposes). This regulation was adopted as a risk reduction measure involving the potential import of CWD and transmission of the disease to the state s cervid populations (wild and farmed) (MI Department of Natural Resources 2014). Since June 2009, captive cervid producers have been given the option to enroll in a Voluntary CWD Monitored Herd program via an application to the Wildlife Division Administrator. As a condition for monitored herd status, all captive North American deer and elk (6 months of age or older) dying of any cause, must be sampled for CWD by a federally accredited veterinarian, or an Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife veterinarian or at a veterinary diagnostic laboratory by a veterinary pathologist. • 44. Antigone Resistance To Authority Analysis In our society today, selfishness is common, yet frowned upon because of the bad reputation it has. Being selfish is the act of being solely concerned about yourself. Caring about yourself is part of your growth as a person; sometimes you need time to just focus on your own being. Rebellion, often times categorized as a type of selfishness, is also part of our human growth. In the greek tragedy Antigone by Sophocles, and the article Resistance To Authority By Michael Schreiner, the authors both illustrate the idea of selfishness being acceptable to certain extents. Through these sources, we can understand that selfishness can be justified as doing what you feel is right and can be acceptable as a human characteristic, as long as it doesn t go far enough to harm others. ... • 46. How Testing Can Improve Quality Of The Software Introduction This report is going to explain my opinion on how testing software has the ability to significantly improve the quality. I have read certain books that give different reasons for the purpose of testing and how well it actually improves the software, and will reference these as I use them throughout the report. Firstly my opinion on testing is that from experience, I have found testing to help greatly towards improving the quality of the software as it basically breaks down the frame and structure of the software which allows you to see every single line of code in detail and gives you a different perspective so that you can decide what you can do exactly in order to improve the quality. Software Quality is something everyone wants. Managers know that they want high quality, software developers know they want to produce a quality product, and users insist that software work consistently and be reliable. (William E. Lewis, 2004) The principles of testing The first principle of testing is that it allows the user to see defects in the software in the event that there are any along the lines of syntax errors or if the programmer has left out a semi colon. Testing always reduces the number of undiscovered defects remaining in the software but even if no defects are found, it is not a proof of correctness. (ISTQB Exam Certification) Another one would be the fact that it would be impossible to test every single combination of inputs therefore managing the risks and ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
