PAJ Productions chose to set their short film in Chelmsley Wood and Kingshurt because it is close to home and will allow them to do better research. Their film will show the harsh everyday issues faced in high crime areas and influence people through the story of the victim, Hugz. They hope to show both the gang crime and emotions of the characters to give viewers from the area sympathy and others insight beyond stereotypes.

PAJ Productions chose to set our 2 minute short film in the B37 area, of Chelmsley Wood and
Kingshurt, because it is closer to 'home' therefore we can carry out better research on how
fitting the area is for our action/gang crime film. We know as a group our area hasn't got the
best of reputations and that he withold a lot of stereotypes. Young adults or teenagers today, in
our area, are renound to be very mischevious and upto no good. In our film (like plenty of other
films) we choose to show this inevitable first impressions. This allows the audience to find a
quick interest in our short 2 minutes; without second guessing the film. Our film will show the
harshness of everyday issues faced in highly rated social areas that include easily influenced
people. Thus, in this case being Hugz, the victim. By showing he reality people who watch it from
this area will be able to show more sympathy or even empathy and connect better with the film.
It also acts as a 'sign' of what people go through to those who are unknown and that is why we
expect it to be a good viewing. Those who are unaware will be able to apply themselves to
getting to know the characters and look past their stereotypical ways. We hope to show not only
troublesome ganag crime but emotion to the characters and happenings in our film; as an action
genre. We can not only relate to singular people but other areas. ThreeSeven is named after the
areas as clesr as it seems, and the simplicity makes it clear on what our film is about. PAJ
productiions wants clear ststements about what it's like; and the day in the life of a victim or
attacker...
