1. Target audience work and character
profile
The target audience for this short film would be people of our age as they
would be the people most likely to want to watch a short film like this,
however the target audiencefor my short film would be quite large as it
would haveconventionsfrom more than one genre.
I believe that my film is appropriate formy target audiencebecause there
isn’t a lot of violence involved and ifI includedviolencethen I could be
unableto have my film for this target audiencebecause if there was thing
such as violence, gore, or offensive materialI could be made to make the
film only availablefor an older audienceas if It was open to everyone then I
could receive complaintsfrom people who think that this film is
inappropriatefor my target audience and I could then be made to take it
down so by havingit not containviolenceor offensive materialthen there
would be littlechance for complaintsand I could keep a good reputation
with everyone watchingmy short film.
Character Profile
Jack:
The first of the two charactersin my short film is a male in their late teenage
years who medium height with brown hair, they are quitea reserved
characterwho isn’t that open and we don’t learn a lot about then
throughout the film.
Tom:
The second character in my short film is another male characterwho is
similarly aged to the other male in the short film, they are a bit more of an
outgoing characterand aren't as reserved as the other male character,
however ultimatelylike the other characterwe don’t find a lot out about
them before the climaxof the short film.
My characterswill be relatable to the audiencebecause the two characters
in my film are of a similarage to my target audience, this means that
because of a similarity in age my audiencewill be able to put themselves in
the positionof my charactersand feel what they feel and this could help the
audiencebetter understandwhat the characters are feeling and help them
to relate to them.
