The document describes each of the characters from the movie "The Descent" and how their traits and behaviors led to their deaths in the cave. Holly is reckless and rushes into dangerous situations, breaking her leg and dying. Sam is the most educated but her reluctance to use violence leads to her death. Rebecca is easily scared and manipulated, saying to leave others behind, causing her death. Juno is a coward and liar, leading Sarah to stab and leave her to die. Sarah survives through determination but snaps after Beth's death. Beth's unwillingness to fight gets her killed. The document also analyzes images from the movie relating to themes of betrayal, manipulation, and losing control.

1. Holly
Holly in the group is the most boisterous out of them, she is also a little bit of a
tomboy and is the most un patient out of them, she is also reckless, loud and
tends to rush when she is in a dangerous situation and this is how her values
make her fall and break her leg which eventually leads to her death.
Sam
Sam is the most educated of the group as she is training to be a doctor, the makes
her possibly the smartest because of that fact this can almost give her and edge
when down in the cave because of that intelligence, she would have more of an
idea on what to do on Holly’s leg because of the training she has had, but with
her being more against violence this leads to her death.
Rebecca
Rebecca in the group is the better climber out of the girls and when they have to
attach hooks in the cave it was Rebecca who went first and set up the hooks and
was still able to get across, but she is easily scared and can be manipulated, this
is why towards the end of the Descent she is saying to leave the girls behind and
escape for themselves and because of that ignored loyalty that she is meant to
have she dies by the crawlers.
Juno
Juno is more manly than any of the other girls she takes charge and is a good
leader this is how the girls can navigate through the cage and are able to move
holly when she break her leg, but she is a coward and runs from situations she
cant handle, also she lies to girls but mainly Sarah and then Sara stabs her
through the leg and leaves her to die because of that lying.
Sarah

2. Sarah in the group has suffered the most and has cheated death one too many
times, this may be her willingness to live and that is why she does not die and
can keep going after everything that has happened to her, but when Beth dies
her last bit of hope shatters she loses control and because almost an animal and
kills the crawlers to easily its like she is doing it for fun and then leaves Juno to
die after learn the truth about her and Paul.
Beth
Beth in the group is also one of the best educated out of the girls along side Sam
she is best friends with Sarah and is what keeps her going, Beth has good ideas
on what to do in bad situations but her unwillingness to fight is what gets her
killed and has her best friend have to use a brick to hit her with to put her out of
her pain.
in this picture it is of the girls having a night where they all get together before
going to the cave the next day, this image shows the girls laughing enjoying
themselves and this image also shows the warmth that will be lost in the cave,
and its that loss of warmth that will make them turn on each other later on.
this image has been photo shopped to make the girls look like they have bigger
breasts and are posing together with very bad blood being added in the image,
this is a sex appeal towards men to make them remember the movie and will go
to watch it because they can remember the image they saw before they watched

3. it, also all of the girls have been edited to look this way to attract men to the
cinema to see the Descent.
This image is of Juno and Paul almost having a moment with each other and
seem more like a couple than Sarah and Paul ever did, and they look into each
others eyes and we the audience can see that there is something happening
between them. And this makes the more of the movie and adds to its key features
being betrayal.
This image of Sarah is when she loses her control and snaps and she goes out and
kills the crawlers because Beth has jus died and she was the only person keeping
Sarah from snapping and then she learns about what Juno did and acts like she is
going to let Juno escape and then leaves her to die and this is how animalistic
Sarah has become and that she will do anything to survive even kill her friends.
