Beth- Beth is the shoulder that Sarah cries on. She cares for Sarah lovingly and is always there for Sarah
when she needs a friend. she contrast her femininity when she attacks the monsters in the cave and acts as
a guardian angel for Sarah.
Juno- juno is the leader of the group. she's the most masculine out of the others and one of the strongest.
she shows her strength when she fights off the monsters in the cave. beside this, she represents the envy/
lustful girl stereotype as she commits adultery with Sarah's husband Paul.
Sarah- Sarah is represented as being the widow of the group. She's lost everything and out of the girls in
the group she is the most unstable. The girls plan to have a girly days out and as they are trap in the cave
the worst sides of them are let loose.with this, this reveals different sides of them and Sarah is represented
as being a vindictive/bloodlust girl stereotype character when she finds out that Juno lied about killing beth
and cheating with Paul and then inevitably stabs juno in the leg to get her revenge.
2. Women are portrayed from this image as
being envy human beings and lusting for
things that they don't have. In this case Juno
wants to take Paul away from Sarah as she
lust for Paul and envy the relationship between
Sarah and Paul.
From this image women are portrayed as being
vindictive and enraged if any thing was to be taken
away from them. With all the thick red blood being
over Sarah she's is shown to be represented as a
bloodlust, enraged and vindictive character. reason
because of this, when Sarah founds out that Juno
killed Beth. in Beth’s dying words she says to Sarah
that Sarah cant trust Juno. This adds more fuel to
Sarah rage when Sarah finds out that juno wears a
necklace of Paul’s favourite quote beside knowing
previously that juno killed beth and juno lied about
killing beth. This inevitably leaves Sarah to stab juno
in the leg to leave her to die and get her revenge.
women here are represented
as just being girls and they
shown to be talkative and
cheerful. Here they aren't in any
danger and they are
just doing what girls do: gossip.
Here the girls are shown to be
seductive due to the heavily
photoshop edit around the girls
breast. Here they are especially
appealing to a male audience and
there is a form of solidarity between
the girls as it seems the girls have
survived this horror.
