These are the seven
colors of the rainbow.
This is light energy that
can be seen and broken
into all the colors of the
         rainbow.
This is our most
important source of
        light.
These are several sources
         of light.
This tool can be used
to separate white light
  into all the colors of
      the rainbow.
Light moves in this
     direction.
Unlike sound waves, light
waves can move through
          this.
This is the distance from
one point on a wave to
 the same point on the
        next wave.
These are the high and
low points on a wave.
Daily Double!!!
 A thin beam of light
that is more powerful
  than regular light.
These waves all have
the same wavelength.
This object appears to be
a source of light in our
solar system, but it really
  only reflects the light
      from the sun.
Kinds of energy that
   move in waves, but
cannot be seen are these.
Objects made of this type of
  material allow light to pass
through them, so we can see
    what is behind them.
When light moves from one
 material to another, it changes
speed and bends. This is known
     as______________.
This person discovered
 that white light is made
up of all the colors of the
         rainbow.
This type of material
does not allow light to
   pass through it.
This type of material
 scatters light so that
objects behind it seem
        blurry.
You cannot see a
    reflection in rough
surfaces because when
 light rays hit them this
          occurs.
This word means “to
allow to pass through”.
This type of lens is thinner in the
 middle and makes objects look
             smaller.
These appear when
   sunlight passes
through water droplets
      in the air.
This is the acronym we
 use to remember the
 colors of the visible
       spectrum.
This color has the
shortest wavelength.
A red shirt looks red
because it does this.
Objects that appear to be
this color absorb almost
all of the light that hits
           them.
In order to see, we need this.
We cannot see around
corners because of this.
Light rays hit these
  surfaces at a certain
angle and then reflect off
them at the same angle,
providing a clear image.
When light hits an opaque
  object, we can make
          these.
When light bounces back
  from an object, it is
     known as this.
