This document discusses how information technology can support student-centered learning. It contrasts traditional classrooms, where teachers lead instruction, to student-centered learning classrooms, where students are at the center of the teaching process. In these new classrooms, students use technology like computers, word processing, PowerPoint, and the Internet to facilitate brainstorming, research, and presentations. The teacher takes on more of a facilitating role to provide individualized support.
