This document outlines a lesson plan for teaching months of the year to a 1st grade special education class. The class has 17 students, 10 boys and 7 girls, who are mostly white but also African American and Latino. Seven students have ADHD. The plan is to have students memorize and retain the months by making an interactive calendar, drawing pictures for each month, and creating an acronym or song. Materials will be provided and any students struggling will get individual help to ensure all students meet the 100% learning goal by week's end.

2.  The goal is to get 100% of the students to learn the material. If a student is having
a difficult time understanding, then have one on one time for them to learn it
easier.
Overall Assure Method
The students will memorize and retain the months of the year after making a calendar,
drawing pictures that correlate with each month, creating an acronym, and listening to a song, by
the end of the week with 100%.
