1) The students are in a first grade special ed classroom with 17 students of diverse racial backgrounds. Seven students have ADHD.
2) The objective is for students to learn the months of the year through daily repetition, matching games with peers, saying months aloud, and word games, with the goal of 90% accuracy by the end of the year.
3) Methods include daily review of months, small group interactive matching and ordering games, and individual or partner word building games to practice ordering the months. Visual, auditory, and kinesthetic activities will be used with pictures and words.
