State Objective: Each child will recite and write down the months of the year
forwards and backwards with the help of a song, a game, and a calendar by the end
of a one week period with 100 percent accuracy.
Select Methods, Media, and Materials: Choose a catchy song
Play a game (have 12 children stand in order
and each one has to say which month they are)
Have student write down the months of the
year forward and backwards
Show the children the months of the year in
order on a calendar and have them make their own
Utilize Media and Materials: Write the months in order on the board
Students write Months on colorful posters
Require Learner Participation: Have students equally participate by having each
child say the months of the year and all the students say them together
Let each student play the game where each child
gets to be a month
Evaluate and Revise: Make sure each child can recite and write the months of the
year forwards and backwards
Do not move on with new material until every child can do the
objective
