D. Learning Material
Short Note/ Short Message
Short message (pesan pendek) adalah surat pendek yang berfungsi memberi tahu
seseorang tentang sesuatu. Pesan pendek diberikan ketika kita tidak dapat bertemu secara
langsung dengan orang yang kita maksud/inginkan.
Sebagai contoh, kita ingin meminjam sesuatu dari saudara kita, tetapi saudara kita
tidak berada dirumah. Kita meninggalkan pesan pendek untuk memberitahu bahwa kita
meminjam barang miliknya.
Pesan pendek dapat berupa catatan singkat dikertas maupun dikirim melalui sms
(dalam bahasa Inggris disebut text). Pesan pendek berisi nama orang yang dituju, isi
pesan yang ingin disampaikan, serta nama orang yang menulis pesan pendek tersebut.

1. Pre-activities(+ 10 minutes)
a. The teacher greets the students
b. The teacher asks the students to take a pray before opening the lesson
c. The teacher checks the present list
d. Brainstorming (remind the students about previous lesson)
e. The teacher tells the students about the topic which will be discussed.
2. Main-activities (+ 60 minutes).
a. The teacher gives the explanation about short note.
b. The teacher gives some examples about the material to make it more clear.
c. The teacher asks the students to make an example by their understanding on the
white board.
d. The teacher checks the students examples.
e. The teacher gives the students worksheet to complete the conversations with the
correct expressions
f. The teacher gives students few minutes for asking about the material.
g. The teacher gives the students’ worksheet.
3. Post-activities (+ 10 minutes)
a. The teacher gives students few minutes for asking about the material.
b.The teacher asks the students to conclude the material.
c. The teacher makes conclusion of the material.
d.The teacher gives a motivation for the students.
