This document describes an accounting lecturer's efforts to trial innovative teaching practices for her ACF1000 course with around 1,000 students. She provided weekly mini lecture recordings and resources on Moodle to provide additional support outside of lectures. Student feedback indicated that the mini lecture recordings, lecture exercises, and online quizzes helped reinforce concepts and were among the best aspects of the course. Statistics showed high usage of the additional materials. The efforts appear to have improved student engagement and understanding of the typically challenging subject.
