2. . Laundry can be defined as a place
where the washing and finishing of
clothes and other wastable articles are
carried out.

3. 1. Commercial Laundry :These cater to
hotel on a contract basis . The contract
specifies the rate for laundry different
articles of linen and so on.
2. In house laundry :An on premises
laundry (opl) in the hotel own laundry
situated on its premies. Many hotels
make make this heavy investment to
provide quality.

4. Washing machine : used for
washing linen & uniform
Hydro-extractors : this
extracted the water from washed
linen

6. Cuff-&-coller presses : these
press consist of three spring-
loaded bucks that are firmly
padded. Cuff & coller of shirt are
placed ion these for pressing.

Steam cabinet : these are
boxes in which linen such as curtain ,
bedspread, are hung so that steam may
be passed through them.

8. Folding machine : folding
machine do not fold the linen ,
but help worker in doing so.

9. Carts, Trolleys, &
sacs : these are used for
transfer the linen from
laundry to linen room and
from linen room to
laundry.
