I had the pleasure to work with Jozef Vandecruys in a variety of roles over the past 22 years,
and most recently as a member of my team from January 2009 through August 2012, in my
previous role as Vice President of Lexus Europe.
As General Manager of Lexus Marketing Communications in Europe, Jozef was responsible for
Brand management, advertising, digital, sponsorship and event marketing, and sales staff
training for our 34 European markets. His responsibility also included contributing to Global
marketing initiatives and asset production. Hismost recent coup was the signing of the
internationally acclaimed artist will.i.am to a sponsorship deal supporting the launch of the new
Lexus NX.
Jozef is a consummate marcomms professional, with extensive experience in event (including
multiple pan-regional commercial meetings and events, the largest exceeding 6000 delegates
and a budget of more than €20 million), sponsorship and communications. He has a 'hands-on'
style and boasts strong operational and production knowhow; including budget and fiscal
control. Over the years, he has produced a wide array of product and brand visuals, including a
broad range of film to support both marketing and internal educational needs.
During his time with me, Jozef has consistently delivered on his commitments. He is highly
reliable, and always realistic and pragmatic in his approach. Hefully understands the
importance of 'on-time' delivery, but is always willing to take on a new challenge and see it
through to successful completion. He is a passionate self-starter who brings optimism and
drive to whatever task he takes on. At the same time, he is not afraid to make difficult
decisions, even if unpopular, in the best interest of the business.
I have no hesitation in recommending Jozef and feel his strong work ethic would be a benefit
