“I am helping
to create ‘ONE SPIE’
in sales management”
How long have you worked for SPIE?
Tobias Höhler: I graduated with a technical building diploma in 2010, and immediately
began working in sales at SPIE, where I had previously done internships during my diploma
course. I started by working on calculations for bids in Facility Management (FM).
In 2014 I became Bid Manager for the Frankfurt region. I built and managed my own team,
and I made the presentations when we tendered for contracts. Then at the end of 2016,
I moved to SPIE GmbH’s headquarters as head of Sales Coordination.
What are your responsibilities?
T.H.: When SPIE is tendering for Pan-European contracts, I coordinate the bidding process
in Germany and speak with other European subsidiaries so that we have a single SPIE offer.
In addition, I am standardising the calculation tools used in sales throughout the company.
SPIE GmbH has acquired a lot of companies in recent years, and each of them has its own
processes. The aim is for us to be ONE SPIE.
How is SPIE helping with your own development?
T.H.: I was lucky enough to take part in SPIE Talents in 2016. As part of this international
programme, I had the chance to work alongside other young managers from all parts
of the Group and get to know them. It was an enriching and rewarding experience.
