Mr. Thomas Diehl, born on February 20th
1992, was employed by Voya as an Entrepreneur in
Residence from June 20th
2016 until September 19th
2016 working with the business
development team in our London office. He then continued to work as a working student
from September 20th
2016 until October 31st
2016 in our Hamburg headquarters.
Voya is Europe’s leading Digital Travel Start-up. We reimagine business travel in a way both,
travellers and companies, love, combining our passion for travelling with our love for tech.
We bring together human experience and artificial intelligence so that we provide hand-
picked travel options in no time, perfectly matching the needs of frequent travellers.
During his time working for Voya Mr. Diehl handled the following tasks and projects:
• Involved in Product Development; implementing and communicating new features
(e.g. Voya Web App)
• Setting up Marketing Strategy; focusing on Online Marketing (Facebook Business
Manager, Google AdWords)
• Setting up Sales Strategy; defining funnel stages and creating matching sales
material
• Successful preparation of pitch for Best Travel Technology Award
• Participation in 500 Startups Growth Hacking Workshop
After just a short period of training in processes as well as company goals, Mr. Diehl proved
that he had gained the fundamental knowledge required. He could also be quickly and highly
effectively integrated into the work environment and proved to be a great team member.
Mr. Diehl always performed his projects on his own with a great deal of initiative and always
showed great motivation. The pace at which he worked and the workload he was able to
cope with far exceeded our expectations. He was always extremely keen to help in any
situation and carried out his tasks with great satisfaction, and to a very high standard.
Mr. Diehl is leaving us on completion of his internship in accordance with the terms of his
contract.
We would like to thank Mr. Diehl for his excellent work and wish him all the best for his further
professional as well as personal development.
