This is a introduction to 4 different types of tool that are accessible via the internet to help educators integrate technology in the classroom. The presentations explores word clouds, answer gardens, embedded audio and visual tools, digital storytelling and info-graphics as well as the use of images with a creative commons license and a way to manipulate pictures. The target grade level presented is mainly K-4, however many of these can be used for older children as well. The target audience to be presented to would be librarians wanting to help collaborate with elementary teachers as well as any elementary teachers that want to collaborate with any Librarian Media Specialist.

Our learning story mother's day
The students in a 9th grade kindergarten class in Greece created a collaborative poem for Mother's Day by dividing into teams to write script, illustrate drawings, take photographs, and choose music. Each team contributed parts to the poem about why they love their mothers. They compiled the script, drawings, photos, and music into a video using movie maker software. The video will be given to their mothers next week along with other gifts. The students enjoyed collaborating on the project but found some parts like choosing music and compiling the video more challenging.
Student project ideas using microsoft publiher

Technology integration is the way of the future and we need to prepare our students. The jobs are more reliant upon technology. So as educators we need to acknowledge this.

K.6:The student will demonstrate an understanding that print conveys meaning. ● b) Explain that printed materials provide information. ● c) Read and explain own writing and drawings. ● d) Read his/her name and read fifteen meaningful, concrete words. K.7c) Demonstrate a speech-to-print match through accurate finger-point reading in familiar text that includes words with more than one syllable. ● d) Identify beginning consonant sounds in single-syllable words K.9a) Identify what an author does and what an illustrator does.
