The document describes an experimental study of a radio frequency interference (RFI) detection algorithm for microwave radiometry. The algorithm uses 2D wavelet-based filtering on a spectrogram to detect sinusoidal and impulse RFI. It then applies frequency and time averaging to remove residual RFI. Testing was performed on L-band radiometer measurements containing continuous and impulse RFI. The algorithm successfully identified and removed RFI from the spectrogram through 2D wavelet filtering and further frequency/time averaging.
