There are over 2000 types of jellyfish found in Earth's oceans and seas. Most jellyfish have radial symmetry and move by pulsing their bodies through contraction and expansion, allowing them to swim without a brain or heart. They feed on small fish, plankton, and other jellyfish by stinging their prey and drawing them inside their tentacles. Jellyfish reproduce both sexually and asexually, with fertilized eggs developing into larvae that can produce more jellyfish.
