This document discusses a study that examined the use of I-Think maps (tree maps) to help 40 Malaysian secondary school students organize their ideas in argumentative writing. The study found that using I-Think maps during the pre-writing stage significantly improved students' ability to organize ideas in their argumentative essays based on pre- and post-test scores. The study suggests that visual tools like I-Think maps can help students develop their writing skills by aiding the organization of information before drafting an essay.
