This document summarizes previous research on using fly ash and Terra-zyme to improve the properties of soils with poor bearing capacity. Several studies found that treating soil with Terra-zyme and curing it for weeks led to significant increases in the soil's California Bearing Ratio (CBR), unconfined compressive strength (UCS), and reductions in permeability. Specifically, one study found CBR values increased up to 400% and UCS increased up to 450% compared to untreated soil. Researchers concluded that Terra-zyme is effective at stabilizing clayey and sandy soils but less effective for silty soils.
A review on stabilization of soil using bio enzymeeSAT Journals
Abstract In developing countries like India the most important requirement of any project after performance criteria is its economical feasibility and serviceability criteria. The conventional methods are time consuming and are not economically feasible. Hence there is a need to discover the other possible ways to satisfy the performance as well as economical criteria. In this paper, popularly available bio-enzymes and their effect on engineering properties of soil are discussed. The stabilization of soil with bio-enzyme is a revolutionary technique which becoming popular worldwide. Recently there are many bio-enzymes available for soil stabilization such as renolith, Perma-Zyme, Terra-Zyme, Fujibeton etc. These enzymes have been proven to be very effective and economical. Another advantage of the bio-enzyme is that these are environment friendly. When these bio-enzymes are mixed with soil they alter its engineering properties. Their efficiency depends upon the amount of dose, type of soil available and field conditions. The use of bioenzyme in soil stabilization is not very popular due to lack of awareness between engineers and non availability of standardized data. However, recently some bio-enzyme stabilized roads were constructed in various parts of India, which are performing very well. Keywords: Bio Enzyme, Nontraditional Soil Stabilizer.

Parametric Characterization and Model Prediction of CBR Values of Stabilized ...IJMER
Quarry dust and lime were deployed for this stabilization experiments. Quarry dust is a byproduct
or sediments derived from the crushing of limestone. This soil modifying agent has a high
percentage of fines. Its application increases the CBR values on a range varying from 10%, 20%, 30%,
40% residual soil against 56%, 71%, 104%, 140% CBR contents of Orukim residual soils respectively.
Further increase in quarry dust content from 50% to 70% resulted in decreased values of CBR. The
samples were equally devoid of plasticity hence less useful in engineering applications. Lime stabilized
soil can be used for both base and sub-base materials. The oxides and hydroxides of calcium and
magnesium are considered as lime, but the materials most commonly used for lime stabilization are
calcium hydroxide Ca(OH)2 and dolomite Ca(OH)2 + MgO. The dolomite however, should not have
more than thirty six percent by weight of magnesium oxide (MgO) to be acceptable as a stabilizing
agent. The lime stabilized samples were soaked for ninety six hours to ascertain the contribution of
curing duration on the CBR parameters. Results indicate variations along the range of 2%, 4%, 6%,
8%, 10% against 80%, 92%, 99%, 110%, 169% of lime and CBR contents respectively.These values
are statistically significant. Finally multiple nonlinear regressed models were developed to aid
prediction and optimization of CBR values of Orukim residual soils at various levels of stabilization
An Experimental Study of Soil Stabilization with Cement and Polymerijtsrd
The aim of the study was to determine the value of Unconfined compressive strength and CBR values of Soil after stabilizing it with Cement and Polymer. Soil stabilization has been widely used as an alternative to substitute the lack of suitable material on site. The utilization of nontraditional compound stabilizers in soil improvement is developing every day. In this investigation a lab try was led to assess the impacts of waterborne polymer on unconfined pressure quality on sandy soil and CBR Test on clayey soil .The lab tests were performed including grain size of sandy soil, unit weight, and unconfined compressive quality test. The sand and different measures of polymer 2 , 3 , and 4 and concrete 20 , 30 , and 40 were blended in with every one of them into mixture utilizing hand blending in research center conditions. The examples were exposed to unconfined pressure tests to decide their quality following 7 days of restoring. The consequences of the tests showed that the waterborne polymer fundamentally improved the unconfined pressure quality of sandy soils which have weakness of liquefaction. Polymer altered the building properties of soil through physical holding. The amount of polymer required to modify the engineering properties was directly related to specific surface and soil particle coating thickness. Polymer amended soils displayed a reduced performance compared to cement amended soils. Improving the properties of soil by stabilization is considered as a means of fulfilling design criteria.
Stabilization is usually performed to improve material properties of soil such as strength, stiffness, and
permeability. The use of new materials for soil strengthening is crucial for geotechnical engineering, especially
in foundation construction. Experiments were conducted using resins with different epoxy resin-to-water
(ER/W) ratios. . The results show that by increasing the resin in the soil, the maximum dry density increases,
and the optimum water content decreases in the compaction tests. The results indicate that the epoxy resins
improve the physical and mechanical properties of soil significantly, and if successfully grouted into a

Strengthening Of Subgrade by Using RBI Grade-81 A Case StudyIOSR Journals
Road infrastructure in India is developing at a very fast pace. A good pavement is needed for the
safe, comfortable and economical movement of traffic. If the in situ soil has no adequate strength, either soil
from other sites are to be used or the available soil has to be stabilized so that it attains sufficient strength to
carry the traffic load. Soil can be stabilized with RBI grade 81 and then can be used in Sub grade and also as
Sub base and base Layers. The whole Pavement can be constructed by using RBI grade 81 thus reducing energy
consumed and placing of unbound granular material (WBM/WMM) without compromising on Strength and
durability. Various samples have been made by taking soil with 0% RBI Grade-81 content; 2% RBI Grade-81
content; 4% RBI Grade-81 content; 6% RBI Grade-81 content; 8% RBI Grade-81. The CBR sample is prepared
by 7 days curing and 4 days soaked period. The comparison of the strength results with or without RBI Grade 81 has been done. It has been found that RBI Grade 81 is a unique and innovative material which results in
saving the extra cost of the pavement

Abstract
Road improvement is one of the significant parts of developing foundation which is growing at a quick rate; the development of roads is of real concern in India as it elevates access to monetary and social administrations, creating horticultural income and productivity employment. In India the greatest impediment to give a complete system of road framework is the constrained funds accessible to build road by the conventional method. The nearby accessible soil is not satisfactory for supporting the reiteration of high business vehicles on consistent road width results into weakening of roads. Clay soils change fundamentally in volume with change in water substance are the reason for distortions to structures that incurs cost taxpayers several billion rupees every year in the India. This paper manages a research facility examination of soil as CL as per Indian Standard (1498 – 1970). To the untreated soil adjustments utilizing the doses of 1 and 2 % PPC are carried out. At first the tests are directed to focus physical & engineering properties of natural soil by directing research center tests furthermore to assess the change in properties by the addition of stabilizers to be utilized as a part of pavement design for economy.

Prediction Models for Estimation of California Bearing Ratio for Cohesive Soilijtsrd
Cohesive soils are well known for their low strength properties. Thus, they are inappropriate for geotechnical works. Soils may be stabilized to increase strength and durability. Stabilization with cement is a common treatment technology. The present study examines the strength of cement stabilized soil. The laboratory tests were carried out in order to study the strength of california bearing ratio (CBR). Nine clayey soils with different properties were mixed with various amounts of cement content (3, 6, 9 and 12%) and compacted at the optimum moisture content and maximum dry density. Soaked or unsoaked condition of soil affects the CBR value. The test results show that unsoaked CBR before stabilization ranges between 2.78% and 10.22% which that of its corresponding soaked samples range between 1.01% and 9.5%. After stabilization, the values of unsoaked CBR range between 3.08% and 47%. The maximum values of unsoaked CBR are within 10.8% to 47%. So it can be used as sub-base condition. The conventional CBR testing method is expensive and time consuming. The laboratory test results were used for the development of regression based model to predict unsoaked and soaked CBR values for natural and cement stabilized soil. Hierarchical Digital Twin of a Naval Power SystemKerry Sado
A hierarchical digital twin of a Naval DC power system has been developed and experimentally verified. Similar to other state-of-the-art digital twins, this technology creates a digital replica of the physical system executed in real-time or faster, which can modify hardware controls. However, its advantage stems from distributing computational efforts by utilizing a hierarchical structure composed of lower-level digital twin blocks and a higher-level system digital twin. Each digital twin block is associated with a physical subsystem of the hardware and communicates with a singular system digital twin, which creates a system-level response. By extracting information from each level of the hierarchy, power system controls of the hardware were reconfigured autonomously. This hierarchical digital twin development offers several advantages over other digital twins, particularly in the field of naval power systems. The hierarchical structure allows for greater computational efficiency and scalability while the ability to autonomously reconfigure hardware controls offers increased flexibility and responsiveness. The hierarchical decomposition and models utilized were well aligned with the physical twin, as indicated by the maximum deviations between the developed digital twin hierarchy and the hardware.
NUMERICAL SIMULATIONS OF HEAT AND MASS TRANSFER IN CONDENSING HEAT EXCHANGERS...ssuser7dcef0
Power plants release a large amount of water vapor into the
atmosphere through the stack. The flue gas can be a potential
source for obtaining much needed cooling water for a power
plant. If a power plant could recover and reuse a portion of this
moisture, it could reduce its total cooling water intake
requirement. One of the most practical way to recover water
from flue gas is to use a condensing heat exchanger. The power
plant could also recover latent heat due to condensation as well
as sensible heat due to lowering the flue gas exit temperature.
Additionally, harmful acids released from the stack can be
reduced in a condensing heat exchanger by acid condensation. reduced in a condensing heat exchanger by acid condensation.
Condensation of vapors in flue gas is a complicated
phenomenon since heat and mass transfer of water vapor and
various acids simultaneously occur in the presence of noncondensable
gases such as nitrogen and oxygen. Design of a
condenser depends on the knowledge and understanding of the
heat and mass transfer processes. A computer program for
numerical simulations of water (H2O) and sulfuric acid (H2SO4)
condensation in a flue gas condensing heat exchanger was
developed using MATLAB. Governing equations based on
mass and energy balances for the system were derived to
predict variables such as flue gas exit temperature, cooling
water outlet temperature, mole fraction and condensation rates
of water and sulfuric acid vapors. The equations were solved
using an iterative solution technique with calculations of heat
and mass transfer coefficients and physical properties.
Immunizing Image Classifiers Against Localized Adversary Attacksgerogepatton
This paper addresses the vulnerability of deep learning models, particularly convolutional neural networks
(CNN)s, to adversarial attacks and presents a proactive training technique designed to counter them. We
introduce a novel volumization algorithm, which transforms 2D images into 3D volumetric representations.
When combined with 3D convolution and deep curriculum learning optimization (CLO), itsignificantly improves
the immunity of models against localized universal attacks by up to 40%. We evaluate our proposed approach
using contemporary CNN architectures and the modified Canadian Institute for Advanced Research (CIFAR-10
and CIFAR-100) and ImageNet Large Scale Visual Recognition Challenge (ILSVRC12) datasets, showcasing
accuracy improvements over previous techniques. The results indicate that the combination of the volumetric
input and curriculum learning holds significant promise for mitigating adversarial attacks without necessitating
adversary training.
