Android Application for Training and Placement Cell using
Machine Learning

Abstract - Online Training and Placement system
automates activities of Training and placement cell and place
the best coordination between student. One of the biggest
challenges that higher learning institutions face today is to
improve the placement performance of students. Educational
institutes look for more efficient technology that assist better
management and support decision making procedures or
assist them to set new strategies. One of the effective ways to
address the challenges for improving the quality is to provide
new knowledge related to the educational processes and
entities to the managerial system. This model helps the
placement cell within an organization to identify the
prospective students and pay attention to and improve their
technical as well as interpersonal skills. Online Training and
Placement focuses on automation of placement cell.
Authorizing the CV, communicating about the various job
openings to the student community, managing the corporate
relationship for inviting them for the placements as wellother
activities, monitoring the progress of theselectionprocessand
communicating with different. Furthermore, the students in
final years of their B. E course can also use this systemtoknow
their individual placement status that they are most likely to
achieve. With this they can put in more hardwork for getting
placed in to the companies that belong to higher hierarchies.
Key Words: Training, Placement, Chat, Query, Skills etc.
1.INTRODUCTION
In 21st century where mobile and information technology
has become an integral part of our lives, use of Internet to
enable students and companies to manage the placement
process with active participation of Training and Placement
Officer (TPO) can be eased in educational institutes. This led
to unique android based placement management system.
This application provides information on placement drives
and technical skills or personality development workshops
so that student may view and assess their opportunities.
The users can access easily to this and the data can be
retrieved in no time. In the student registrationform, wecan
give personal details, educational qualifications, and
professional skills and upload resume. The job details of the
places students will be provided by the administrator. The
Training and Placement Officer to take effective actions on
the web as a follow-on from the information they have
viewed. The administrator plays an important role in our
project. He provides approval of student registration and
updation.
1.1 Existing System
 Maximum Manual Work: All the work that is done
until now is done by human intervention.
 Errors: Due to which there was maximum chances of
errors.
 Maximum Human Interface: The interface of student
and administer is maximum.
 Time Consuming: Due to the above problems every
procedure becomes time consuming.
 Updating Records: Due to above problems the
updation was very difficult and ambiguous.
 Duplication of files: Due to updating, duplication of
records was usual hence data redundancy.
 Synchronization problem: There was less interface
between student and Training and Placement
department.
 No Alumni record: Therewasnorecordmaintainedof
the past students;
 Less Communication: There was less communication
between past or present student with the Training
and Placement department
1.2 Proposed System
The proposed system meant to give more easiness to the
users that they can add and retrieve information quickly.
There are mainly three types of users they are TPO, Student,
Alumini. The TPO is the master user; he gets the most
number of priorities than the other users. The different
functions involve the case of an TPO are updating, approval.
The TPO can view and approve the various application
forms. Students can register and view the details. The TPO
can view the details of the students and can approve or
reject their applications. The proposed systemisintendedto
avoid all the drawbacks of existing system. It will add some
more features than the existing system. The proposed
system is a cost effective way of doing the manual processes
done in the existing system.

2. Implementation Details
Admin/TPO Module
The TPO is the Admin in this system and has the authority to
add the company. The various events of the TPO is to notify
the students about the upcoming campus and off campus
drives, workshops. Admin also has the statistics of the
registered students, students that have applied for the jobs,
companies thatare arriving to the college for the drives,total
students selected for the respective companies Admin can
also provide the study materials that can be either digital or
links to refer.
Student Module
Students have to register first to the system by entering the
personal and professional details including their technical
and non-technical skills along with their email ID and new
passwords. Students later login to the system using their
valid email ID and password to look for the jobs that have
been posted by the Admin. The students can later apply for
the jobs that meet the eligibility criteria of the company.
There is also chat room for students where they can clarify
the doubts regarding drives.
Alumini Module
Alumins are the passed out students, placed or unplaced.
Alumini register themselves to the system using their
personal and professional details along withtheemailIDand
passwords. Alumins login to the system using valid email ID
and passwords, they can also view the jobsthatarepostedby
admin and can also participate in the drives if allowed. They
can also participate in the chat room to answer or to ask
questions about their doubts and can make use of the study
materials provided. Alumins can also provide the study
materials .
Chat Module
Chat module is the platform for the students or the admin or
the alumini to ask the queries regarding drives and for
students and alumini it might be the help for preparing for
any drives or the study materials.

3. Results
The Home page is shown in the figure 2 in which there is a
sign-up option for new studentsandalumins.Thereisa login
option for students, alumins and TPO/Admin separately as
they have different events in the system. There is also a chat
room commonly provided for everyone in the system.

4. CONCLUSION
In the existing system maximum work goes manually and it
is error prone system. It takes time for any changes in the
system. The big problem is the searching and updation of
student data and also no notification method available for
giving information to student except the notice board. It
enhaces easy communication between staff and students
through chat room. It gives the automation in all the
processes like Registration, Upadation, Searching.Itprovide
the detail solution to the existing system problem.

One of the biggest challenges that higher learning institutions face today is to improve the placement performance of students. Educational institutes look for more efficient technology that assist better management and support decision making procedures or assist them to set new strategies. One of the effective ways to address the challenges for improving the quality is to provide new knowledge related to the educational processes and entities to the managerial system. This model helps the placement cell within an organization to identify the prospective students and pay attention to and improve their technical as well as interpersonal skills. Online Training and Placement focuses on automation of placement cell. Authorizing the CV, communicating about the various job openings to the student community, managing the corporate relationship for inviting them for the placements as wellother activities, monitoring the progress of theselectionprocessand communicating with different. Furthermore, the students in final years of their B. E course can also use this systemtoknow their individual placement status that they are most likely to achieve. With this they can put in more hardwork for getting placed in to the companies that belong to higher hierarchies. Key Words: Training, Placement, Chat, Query, Skills etc. 1.INTRODUCTION In 21st century where mobile and information technology has become an integral part of our lives, use of Internet to enable students and companies to manage the placement process with active participation of Training and Placement Officer (TPO) can be eased in educational institutes. This led to unique android based placement management system. This application provides information on placement drives and technical skills or personality development workshops so that student may view and assess their opportunities. The users can access easily to this and the data can be retrieved in no time. In the student registrationform, wecan give personal details, educational qualifications, and professional skills and upload resume. The job details of the places students will be provided by the administrator. The Training and Placement Officer to take effective actions on the web as a follow-on from the information they have viewed. The administrator plays an important role in our project. He provides approval of student registration and updation. 1.1 Existing System  Maximum Manual Work: All the work that is done until now is done by human intervention.  Errors: Due to which there was maximum chances of errors.  Maximum Human Interface: The interface of student and administer is maximum.  Time Consuming: Due to the above problems every procedure becomes time consuming.  Updating Records: Due to above problems the updation was very difficult and ambiguous.  Duplication of files: Due to updating, duplication of records was usual hence data redundancy.  Synchronization problem: There was less interface between student and Training and Placement department.  No Alumni record: Therewasnorecordmaintainedof the past students;  Less Communication: There was less communication between past or present student with the Training and Placement department 1.2 Proposed System The proposed system meant to give more easiness to the users that they can add and retrieve information quickly. There are mainly three types of users they are TPO, Student, Alumini. The TPO is the master user; he gets the most number of priorities than the other users. The different functions involve the case of an TPO are updating, approval. The TPO can view and approve the various application forms. Students can register and view the details. The TPO can view the details of the students and can approve or reject their applications. The proposed systemisintendedto avoid all the drawbacks of existing system. It will add some more features than the existing system. The proposed system is a cost effective way of doing the manual processes done in the existing system.

Implementation Details Admin/TPO Module The TPO is the Admin in this system and has the authority to add the company. The various events of the TPO is to notify the students about the upcoming campus and off campus drives, workshops. Admin also has the statistics of the registered students, students that have applied for the jobs, companies thatare arriving to the college for the drives,total students selected for the respective companies Admin can also provide the study materials that can be either digital or links to refer. Student Module Students have to register first to the system by entering the personal and professional details including their technical and non-technical skills along with their email ID and new passwords. Students later login to the system using their valid email ID and password to look for the jobs that have been posted by the Admin. The students can later apply for the jobs that meet the eligibility criteria of the company. There is also chat room for students where they can clarify the doubts regarding drives. Alumini Module Alumins are the passed out students, placed or unplaced. Alumini register themselves to the system using their personal and professional details along withtheemailIDand passwords. Alumins login to the system using valid email ID and passwords, they can also view the jobsthatarepostedby admin and can also participate in the drives if allowed. They can also participate in the chat room to answer or to ask questions about their doubts and can make use of the study materials provided. Alumins can also provide the study materials . Chat Module Chat module is the platform for the students or the admin or the alumini to ask the queries regarding drives and for students and alumini it might be the help for preparing for any drives or the study materials. Fig -1: System’s block diagram 3. Results The Home page is shown in the figure 2 in which there is a sign-up option for new studentsandalumins.Thereisa login option for students, alumins and TPO/Admin separately as they have different events in the system. CONCLUSION In the existing system maximum work goes manually and it is error prone system. It takes time for any changes in the system. The big problem is the searching and updation of student data and also no notification method available for giving information to student except the notice board. It enhaces easy communication between staff and students through chat room. It gives the automation in all the processes like Registration, Upadation, Searching.Itprovide the detail solution to the existing system problem.
