To locate the location of the internet users IP address plays an important role. Various types of IP address are categorized for the easy network uses. Class A, Class B, Class C, Class D and Class E used to identify location of the users.
IP Address is a unique identification given to Host, network device, server for data communication. IP
Address stand for Internet Protocol address, it is an addressing scheme used to identify a system on a
network. It is a unique address that certain electronic devices currently use to communicate with each
other on a network using internet protocol.
IPv6 is short for "Internet Protocol Version 6". IPv6 is the "next generation" protocol designed by the IETF to replace the current version Internet Protocol, IP Version 4 ("IPv4").
It is the underlying technology that makes it possible for us to connect our devices to the web. Whenever a device access the Internet (whether it's a PC, Mac, smartphone or other device), it is assigned a unique, numerical IP address.

Wireless communication involves the transmission of information over a distance without the help of wires, cables or any other forms of electrical conductors.
Wireless communication is a broad term that incorporates all procedures and forms of connecting and communicating between two or more devices using a wireless signal through wireless communication technologies and devices.
Features of Wireless Communication
The evolution of wireless technology has brought many advancements with its effective features.
The transmitted distance can be anywhere between a few meters (for example, a television's remote control) and thousands of kilometers (for example, radio communication).
Wireless communication can be used for cellular telephony, wireless access to the internet, wireless home networking, and so on.

2. IP Address
• IP Address Stands for Internet Protocol Address
• It is an identifying number that is associated with a
specific computer or computer devices
• When connected to the internet it allows the
computer to send and receive information
• It is unique address used to identify devices on TCP/IP
address
4. TYPES
• INDICATIVE OF LOCATION
• => PUBLIC : Public used outside a network
• => Private. : Public used inside a network
• INDICATIVE OF PERMANENCY
• => Staic : Created manually
• => Dynamic: Assigned by dynamic Host configuration Protocal, only
active certain timeINDICATIVE OF LOCATION
5. IPV4
• IPV4 stands for INTERNET PROTOCOL VERSION 4
• It is intoduced in 1981
• It is one of the core protocols of standard based internetworking
methods in the internet and other packet switched network
• IPV4 was the first version, deployed for production on
SATNET(Atlantic packet satellite network) in 1982 and on the
ARPANET.
• It still routes most internet traffic today despite advance on going
IPV6
• It developed by DARPA(Defence advance research and development)
6. Contd
• It has network OS layer
• IPV4 used 32 bit address space which provide 32 unique address
• IPV4 is a connection less protocol
• Artificial intelligence not supports
• It comprises source address, destination address, options, data etc
7. IPV6
• Introduced- Dec 1995
• Draft standard – Dec 1998
• Internet standard ratified – 14 July 2017
• IPV6 stands for INTERNET PROTOCOL VERSION 6
• It is nothing but 6th version of internet protocol.
• It is communication protocol
• It deals heavy traffic and IPV4’s exhaustion problem
• It is Internet layer protocol for packet switched internetworking
8. Contd
• It comprises source address and destination address only
• 128 bit address space
• Artificial intelligence supports
• Note
• IPV4 and IPV6 doesn’t directly communicate
