This document describes the design and implementation of an IoT-based portable heart rate and pulse oximeter system. The system uses a MAX30100 pulse oximeter sensor to measure oxygen saturation and heart rate. An ESP8266 microcontroller processes the sensor data and sends it over WiFi to a Blynk application where it can be displayed and stored. The system was found to accurately measure vital signs and has potential applications for remote patient monitoring during the COVID-19 pandemic and for patients with respiratory conditions.
