2. INTRODUCTION
The torso is generally regarded
as the main part of human
body, primarily made up of the
chest,abdomen and pelvis,not
including the head,neck,arm
and legs.
4. EPIDEMIOLOGY
Trauma is the main cause of morbidity and
mortality worldwide.
About 42% of all deaths are result of head injury,but some
39% of all trauma deaths are caused by major
haemorrhage ,usually from torso injury.
Torso trauma have an incidence of 488 in
100,000 person yearly.
12. Effect of abdominal
trauma
Spleen is most common
involving in blunt trauma.
Liver is most common organ
involve in penetrating trauma.
Uncontrolled haemorrhage
is major cause of death .
13. PELVIC TRAUMA
Pelvic fracture are one of the true life
life threatening emergency.
Overall mortality from pelvic ring
injury is 9-22%.
Fracture of bony pelvis account
for 3%of all fracture.
And most common injured
organs bladder & urethra .
