3. WHY DO YOU NEED TO CONSIDER
THE CULTURE OF OTHER PERSON?
Intercultural Communication is the exchange of
messages between and among people with diverse cultures.
This explains the importance of the language and culture seminar given
by the Philippine Overseas Employment Association (POEA) to
people who are seeking jobs abroad.
Intercultural Communication requires both (a) knowledge and (b) skills.
It needs an understanding that different cultures have different
customs, standards, social mores and even thought patterns.
