Integrity
● Integrity is a character trait that reflects a person’s degree
of honesty, adherence to moral principles and a complete
harmony of one’s thought speech and action.
● A person of integrity will be guided by morality and has
consistency in character.
● He/ she will do what is right every time.
● A person who has integrity lives his or her values in
relationships with coworkers, customers, and stakeholders.
● Honesty and trust are central to integrity.
● Acting with honor and truthfulness are also basic tenets in
a person with integrity.
● People who demonstrate integrity draw others to them
because they are trustworthy and dependable.
Examples of Integrity
● The CEO of the company kept the employees up-to-date
on the struggles the business was experiencing with clear
and frequent communication at team meetings.
● Employees felt as if they knew exactly what was
happening.
● They were not blindsided by the CEO’s request that they
all take a 10 percent pay cut so that the company could
avoid layoffs or furloughs for the time being.
● The employees also felt confident in the turnaround plan
they were following as they had helped develop it
and they trusted their CEO.

Professional Integrity
● It deals with the willingness to do the right thing in one’s
profession.
Political Integrity
● It deals with the mindset of politicians once they are
elected by the people.
● They should work according to the promises they made
during elections.
Academic Integrity
● Any academic Endeavour must be pure and away from
plagiarism. People in academic community should stick on
to truthful information.
● A student who copies an assignment, a researcher who
fabricate data, a writer who doesn’t acknowledge his
sources, etc lack academic integrity.
Integrity in Daily Transactions
● There will be incidents in our life in which there will be
options to do the right thing or to do what benefits us.
● As responsible persons of integrity, we should do right
always.
Traits of People that Have True Integrity
● Trustworthy; Trust is actually the most common trait of
these people. Once people with try integrity have gained your
trust, they will try to keep it.
● Honest; They are honest people who don’t feel need to lie
because they want to get to where they need to get in life
without lying.
● Authentic; People with true integrity are actually their
truest forms. You will never catch them in a lie.
● Do good things whenever they can; They often help
others. They enjoy improving other people’s lives.
● Humble; They don’t quite know their own worth. Although
they do good things, they do not quite notice their act of
kindness.
● They apologize first; In case people with true integrity
have done anything wrong, they will actually apologize. They
admit their mistake as well as try to make things right.
● Believe other people; They don’t take lying well.
● They are kind to people that need it.
● They realize when something is bothering others; In
case someone is down in the dumps, people with true
integrity will notice it.
● They give others the benefit of the doubt.
● They don’t argue over disagreements
● They don’t take advantage of other people
● They are genuine; They show their genuineness by action
● They credit people that deserve it; Those who have
true integrity don’t take credit for things they didn’t do.
● They value other people’s time; These people value
their own time as well as they value other people’s time.
