Jessica Helmold incorporated various technologies into her student teaching placements to engage students and enhance learning. She used PowerPoint to introduce herself to students, showing pictures from her life and sharing her hopes and dreams. Students then made their own PowerPoints. Vokis and a wiki were used for a 6th grade math assignment where students explained problem-solving steps. Third graders interviewed classmates in another state about life in the Southwest via Skype. The SmartBoard was utilized for lessons, seating charts, and student participation. Email allowed communication with parents. Assistive technologies like interactive word walls and dry erase boards supported individual student needs. Helmold is excited to incorporate more technologies into her own future classroom.

Temple of Asclepius in Thrace. Excavation results
The temple and the sanctuary around were dedicated to Asklepios Zmidrenus. This name has been known since 1875 when an inscription dedicated to him was discovered in Rome. The inscription is dated in 227 AD and was left by soldiers originating from the city of Philippopolis (modern Plovdiv).

- 4. PowerPoint proved to be a wonderful tool to introduce myself at both of my student teaching placements. Students saw pictures of where I grew up, the schools that I’ve attended, and where I have worked. Finally, I shared some of my hopes and dreams. Sharing hopes and dreams (next slide)emphasizes my desire to continue learning.

- 10. Online Interviews My third graders were studying The Southwest Region of the United States. I happened to know Ms. Engelhard, who is now teaching in Tucson AZ. We asked each of our classes to write questions for the other class about what life is like in the Southwest/ Midwest. With the permission of our administrators, our students were able to interview one another via Skype. What a great experience!
