Roxy Ragsdale attended elementary school in Maui in the 1990s where she used the KidPix program in the weekly computer lab sessions. In high school from the 2000s, each student was given a laptop and teachers had Smart Boards, while required computer classes were taken from 9th to 11th grade. In college in the 2000s, most work was done on laptops and submitted online through portals and sites like Laulima, with more computer use required for graduate studies. Ragsdale envisions future classrooms where each student has a personal laptop with the best software and all classwork is done and submitted digitally.
