2. As the idea of Asian pop is the
USP of my product, it’s
definitely going to be a niche
market production.
However I want my magazine
to be able to have crossover
appeal and attract Asians
outside of their own country
beyond the UK, so I would
prefer a large multinational
distributor like Bauer.
3. I’ve chosen Bauer Media Group as it is the largest private-owned
publishing group in Europe.
It is also the publisher of the top music magazines such as Q and
Kerrang!, with the experience in publishing successful magazines, I’m
sure my product will succeed despite being niche market.

5. web 2.0
- internet is surely the most essential marketing
place with the quickest way to access all sorts of
information, especially to the younger generations
when they are now having a lot of contacts with
internet. Digital natives also tend to receive all
sorts of news or information from internet.
Social networks like Facebook, the most popular
website currently, allow an even easier access for
users to get the latest news or information about
anything even when they are not publically
established yet
Through Facebook, the magazine could be seen as
following the trend instead of falling off the track.
For example, there could be a fanspage and a
specific channel of my magazine to update
audience especially digital natives who are
brought up along with digital devices, with the
latest and hottest music news of Asia. It also taps
into technological convergence as audience may
own smart phones which makes it easier for them
to receive the latest news or information.
There could also be information of the upcoming
articles, for example giving hints to audience about
what the upcoming news will be about and let them
guess; posting music videos of Asian music directly
to let them listen etc.
