Question 3
 I would like my music magazine to be part of one of the biggest publishing
groups in Europe, Bauer. It has grown to become a global media empire, owning
80 brands serving 19,000,000 people and 230 magazines in 15 different
countries.
 On their website they state that “Our business is built on millions of personal
relationships with engaged audiences.” As Bauer is so successful they could help
my product grow and it would also mean that I would be supported by a
company who understands the magazine industry completely.
 As my music magazine- MusicLife is a multi-platform brand I would want each
platform to be as successful as it possibly could. In my opinion Bauer would be
the best to help the magazine be successful as it could even offer different
platforms such as radio and television to make each platform even more
recognisable. Bauer’s target audience are also the younger generation which
means that they use technology on a regular basis as it is greatly influenced in
our daily lives. Bauer has introduced technological platforms which highly
appeals to their target audience. This is one of the reasons why I have included
the aspect of the internet in my magazine by including the website address
WWW.MusicLife.co.uk within my magazine to appeal to my target audience.
 Also the most recognisable magazines are published by Bauer and their success
has generally grown, it is really difficult to perceive any other publisher as being
more beneficial than Bauer. I think Bauer would make my magazine attract a
bigger audience and reach its full potential.
 To distribute my magazine, I would want the
biggest magazine distributer in the UK, Frontline.
Overall it distributes 160 magazine titles,
including 54 of the top 200 selling titles in the
UK and is therefore most successful distributor.
Frontline publishes magazines such as ‘Q’ and
‘Mojo’. To me Frontline is the obvious choice to
be the distributor of my magazine.
 Frontline also try to make a difference by raising
money for good causes, I believe if MusicLife was
associated with them then the magazine would
appeal to a huge audience.
