Immunoglobulins (Ig) or antibodies are glycoproteins that are produced by plasma cells. B cells are instructed by specific immunogens.For, example, bacterial proteins, to differentiate into plasma cells, which are protein-making cells that participate in humoral immune responses against bacteria, viruses, fungi, parasites, cellular antigens, chemicals, and synthetic substances.
The immunogen or antigen reacts with a B-cell receptor (BCR) on the cell surface of B lymphocytes, and a signal is produced that directs the activation of transcription factors to stimulate the synthesis of antibodies, which are highly specific for the immunogen that stimulated the B cell. Furthermore, one clone of B cell makes an immunoglobulin (specificity). Besides, the immune system remembers the antigens that caused a previous reaction (memory) due to the development of memory B cells. These are intermediate, differentiated B cells with the capability to quickly become plasma cells. Circulating antibodies recognize antigen in tissue fluids and serum. Published classroom materials form the basis of syllabuses, drive teacher professional development, and have a potentially huge influence on learners, teachers and education systems. All teachers also create their own materials, whether a few sentences on a blackboard, a highly-structured fully-realised online course, or anything in between. Despite this, the knowledge and skills needed to create effective language learning materials are rarely part of teacher training, and are mostly learnt by trial and error.
Knowledge and skills frameworks, generally called competency frameworks, for ELT teachers, trainers and managers have existed for a few years now. However, until I created one for my MA dissertation, there wasn’t one drawing together what we need to know and do to be able to effectively produce language learning materials.
This webinar will introduce you to my framework, highlighting the key competencies I identified from my research. It will also show how anybody involved in language teaching (any language, not just English!), teacher training, managing schools or developing language learning materials can benefit from using the framework.

2. Isotypes: Iso=Same
Each different heavy- chain constant region is referred to as an isotype, and the
isotype of the heavy chains of a given antibody molecule determines its class.
Minor differences in the amino acid sequences of groups of light and heavy chains
led to further sub- classification of these heavy chains into sub- isotypes and their
corresponding antibodies therefore into subclasses.
3. allotypes: allo=different
Heavy or light-chain genes occur in multiple allelic forms, and alternative allelic
forms of the same isotype and referred to as allotypes.
Generally, two antibodies with allotypic differences will vary in just a few residues of
one of the immunoglobulin chains, and these residues constitute the allotypic
determinants.
4. Idiotypes: Idio=own
Idiotypes are the unique antigenic determinants present on variable heavy chain and
variable light region of individual antibody molecules.
Idiotypes are antibodies that recognize different specific epitopes.
Location: Variable region of heavy chain and light chain.
