Antigen presenting cells such as dendritic cells, macrophages, and B cells play a key role in activating T cells during an immune response. This initiation of T cell activation requires two signals: 1) antigen recognition by T cell receptors and 2) co-stimulatory signaling between molecules on the antigen presenting cell and T cell. Together, these signals trigger T cells to proliferate and carry out their immune functions in fighting pathogens or cancer cells.

Immunoglobulins
Immunoglobulins, also known as antibodies, are Y-shaped glycoproteins produced by B cells that function to recognize and bind to foreign objects like antigens or pathogens. There are five classes of immunoglobulins - IgG, IgM, IgA, IgD, and IgE - which differ in size, sugar content, and biological function. Each immunoglobulin molecule contains two light chains and two heavy chains that form variable and constant regions. The variable regions are responsible for binding to antigens while the constant regions mediate different immune functions.
Lymphatic System
The lymphatic system carries fluid lost from capillaries back to the bloodstream through lymphatic vessels and ducts. It also transports fat and plays a major role in immunity. Lymph nodes along lymphatic pathways contain lymphocytes and macrophages that fight microbes. The tonsils, spleen, and thymus are lymphatic organs - the tonsils trap pathogens in the mouth and throat, the spleen filters the blood and destroys old red blood cells, and the thymus matures T cells that respond to foreign substances.
Characters of the Immune System

Building Production Ready Search Pipelines with Spark and Milvus
Spark is the widely used ETL tool for processing, indexing and ingesting data to serving stack for search. Milvus is the production-ready open-source vector database. In this talk we will show how to use Spark to process unstructured data to extract vector representations, and push the vectors to Milvus vector database for search serving.

ABSTRACT: A prima vista, un mattoncino Lego e la backdoor XZ potrebbero avere in comune il fatto di essere entrambi blocchi di costruzione, o dipendenze di progetti creativi e software. La realtà è che un mattoncino Lego e il caso della backdoor XZ hanno molto di più di tutto ciò in comune.

BIO: Sostenitrice del software libero e dei formati standard e aperti. È stata un membro attivo dei progetti Fedora e openSUSE e ha co-fondato l'Associazione LibreItalia dove è stata coinvolta in diversi eventi, migrazioni e formazione relativi a LibreOffice. In precedenza ha lavorato a migrazioni e corsi di formazione su LibreOffice per diverse amministrazioni pubbliche e privati. Da gennaio 2020 lavora in SUSE come Software Release Engineer per Uyuni e SUSE Manager e quando non segue la sua passione per i computer e per Geeko coltiva la sua curiosità per l'astronomia (da cui deriva il suo nickname deneb_alpha).
