The ICDL course outline covers 7 modules that teach students how to use common computer programs and the internet. Module 1 covers basic computer hardware, software, and networking. Modules 2-6 focus on using the Microsoft Office programs Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Explorer. Students will learn how to create and edit documents, spreadsheets, databases and presentations. They will also learn how to search the internet and use email. Module 7 teaches email and internet skills like downloading programs, creating email messages, and managing contacts.
