it is a hydraulic arm which is hydraulically operated .... a very easy presentation for hydraulic arm . it is also be presented by all students other then engineering .
Introduced gearless power transmission arrangement used for skew shafts. In this transmission system no. of pins or links used must be odd..3,5,7,9…..& centers of any two pins or links hole must not be on that line which represent the diameter of the shaft. If more pins or links used motion will be smoother, but increase in no. of pins or links not at the cost of strength of the shaft. Pins or links are fixed (may be permanent of temporary) in the drilled holes at the both shaft ends due to which motion is transferred. The dimensions of the pins or links and angle for the pins are all given very precisely, holes drilled very accurately.
Proposed arrangement used for skew shafts at any angle & if there is a need we can change the angle between shafts during motion or during intermittent motion with any profile of shafts having rotational motion along its own axis. The Working of this arrangement is very smooth & use very effectively with a very minimum amount of power losses.

What is fluid power ?
• Fluid power is the technology that deals with the
generation , control ,and transmission of power using
pressurized fluids. It can be said that fluid power is the
muscle that moves industry. This is because fluid power
is used to push , pull ,regulate or drive virtually all the
machines of modern industry.
• Fluid power is subdivided into hydraulics using a liquid
such as mineral oil or water, and pneumatics using a gas
such as air or other gases

Advantages of fluid power
• 1-Ease and accuracy of control
• By the use of simple levers and push buttons, the operator of
a fluid power system can readily start , stop speed up or slow
down and position forces that provides any desired
horsepower with tolerance as precise as one ten- thousand of
an inch

• 2-Multiplication of force
• A fluid power system (without using cumbersome gears,
pulleys , and levers) can multiply forces simply and efficiently
from a fraction of an ounce to several to several hundreds
tons of output.
11
• 3-Constant force or torque
• Only fluid power systems are capable of providing constant
force or torque regardless of peed change. This is
accomplished whether the work output moves a few inches
per hours.
12
• 4-Simplicity ,safety, economy
• In general , fluid power systems use fewer moving parts than
comparable mechanical or electrical systems. Thus , they are
simpler to maintain and operate . This ,in turn, maximize
safety ,compactness, and reliability.

Immunizing Image Classifiers Against Localized Adversary Attacksgerogepatton
This paper addresses the vulnerability of deep learning models, particularly convolutional neural networks
(CNN)s, to adversarial attacks and presents a proactive training technique designed to counter them. We
introduce a novel volumization algorithm, which transforms 2D images into 3D volumetric representations.
When combined with 3D convolution and deep curriculum learning optimization (CLO), itsignificantly improves
the immunity of models against localized universal attacks by up to 40%. We evaluate our proposed approach
using contemporary CNN architectures and the modified Canadian Institute for Advanced Research (CIFAR-10
and CIFAR-100) and ImageNet Large Scale Visual Recognition Challenge (ILSVRC12) datasets, showcasing
accuracy improvements over previous techniques. The results indicate that the combination of the volumetric
input and curriculum learning holds significant promise for mitigating adversarial attacks without necessitating
adversary training.
CFD Simulation of By-pass Flow in a HRSG module by R&R Consult.pptxR&R Consult
CFD analysis is incredibly effective at solving mysteries and improving the performance of complex systems!
Here's a great example: At a large natural gas-fired power plant, where they use waste heat to generate steam and energy, they were puzzled that their boiler wasn't producing as much steam as expected.
R&R and Tetra Engineering Group Inc. were asked to solve the issue with reduced steam production.
An inspection had shown that a significant amount of hot flue gas was bypassing the boiler tubes, where the heat was supposed to be transferred.
R&R Consult conducted a CFD analysis, which revealed that 6.3% of the flue gas was bypassing the boiler tubes without transferring heat. The analysis also showed that the flue gas was instead being directed along the sides of the boiler and between the modules that were supposed to capture the heat. This was the cause of the reduced performance.
Based on our results, Tetra Engineering installed covering plates to reduce the bypass flow. This improved the boiler's performance and increased electricity production.
It is always satisfying when we can help solve complex challenges like this. Do your systems also need a check-up or optimization? Give us a call!
Work done in cooperation with James Malloy and David Moelling from Tetra Engineering.

3. INTRODUCTION
• A robotic arm which is hydraulically operated and
controlled by syringes filled with some fluid. It
consists of various parts connected to each other in
a pre-designed manner which are guided in a
constrained way to obtain required output.
• Hydraulic machines are machinery and tools that
use liquid fluid power to do simple work. Heavy
equipment is a common example.
• Hydraulic machinery is operated by the use of
hydraulics, where a liquid is the powering medium.
4. WORKING
• Hydraulics is used in many applications we see or
use every day. The brakes in an automobile or the
lift on the bucket of a tractor are two very common
applications. We can experiment with simple
hydraulics using plastic syringes for cylinders and
small plastic tubing for the hydraulic hose. One
definition I read for hydraulics was, “the movement
of pressurized liquids through confined spaces”.
• Like working with gears, pulleys, or levers; a
mechanical advantage can be realized by using
different size cylinders on the end of the hydraulic
connections. By trading distance moved with
the amount of force the advantage is realized.
5. AIM OF THE PROJECT
• The main aim of our project is to build a
hydraulic arm that can grip or pick thinks.
• We have implemented the hydraulic arm that
can be controlled by gesture commands.
• We have proposed a simple algorithm for hand
controlling.
6. HYDRAULIC SYSTEM
• A hydraulic drive system is a drive or transmission
system that uses pressurized hydraulic fluid to power
hydraulic machinery. The term hydrostatic refers to the
transfer of energy from flow and pressure, not from the
kinetic energy of the flow.
• A hydraulic drive system consists of three parts: The
generator (e.g. a hydraulic pump), driven by an electric
motor, a combustion engine or a windmill; valves, filters,
piping etc. (to guide and control the system); and the
actuator (e.g. a hydraulic motor or hydraulic cylinder) to
drive the machinery
7. PRINCIPLE
• Pascal’s law the basis of hydraulic drive systems. As the
pressure in the system is the same, the force that the
fluid gives to the surroundings is therefore equal to
pressure area. In such a way, a small piston feels a
small force and a large piston feels a large force.
• A change in pressure at any point in an enclosed fluid at
rest is transmitted undiminished to all points in the fluid
8. THE MAIN USES
• The underlying principle of the hydraulic
jack and hydraulic press
• Force amplification in the braking system
of most motor vehicles.
• Used in artesian wells, water towers, and
dams.
10. ROBOT POWER
• The power for a robotic arm can
either be electric, hydraulic, or
pneumatic.
• Hydraulics is putting liquids
under pressure
• Pneumatics is putting gases
under pressure.
• The power supply acts like the
robot's heart and muscles. It
provides the energy for pushing,
pulling, turning and lifting.
11. APPLICATIONS
• The hydraulic arm that can grip or pick thinks
in industrial purpose.
• These arms are used in assembly lines of
mega factories to assemble the various parts
of product and also to paint vehicles.
• They are also used in earth movers to pick up
heavy weight and keep them where required.
• Same principle is being used in JCB’s ,
automobiles, lifters.
12. ADVANTAGES
• The robot used can have many industrial
uses.
• When used in locomotive format can be of
great use in the production and packing
field.
• The simplicity and easy to repair design
makes it really cheap.
• Cost is low.
• Easy to design.
13. SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
• When pressing on the syringe
system, be sure to press only the
input plunger with your thumb
and hold the output syringe with
your other hand to prevent the
syringe from separation.
• Do not use syringe as a “squirt
gun”.
• Wear safety glasses.
• Follow all normal laboratory
rules.
14. FUTURE SCOPE
• If more time and more efforts would have been put
into the model, more complexity could have been
brought out.
• Moreover instead of manual operation of syringes
could have been replaced by pre-defined
computer program or merely by pressing switch
operated.
• Further more varieties and more flexibility to add
or replace any part according to the requirements
can be done to improve its use and increase field
of usage and to make it more universal or flexible
15. CONCLUSION
• The prepared mechanism has been
successfully constrained and executed to
carry out the required work of picking up
the weight of the object like table tennis
ball and to put them in to the placed at
different location.
