The Strength Of An Induced Magnetic Field
Magnet Drop
Introduction
Throughout this report the strength of an induced magnetic field will be explored, this will be
achieved through dropping a rare earth magnet through an aluminum tube and testing whether the
velocity of the magnet will move at a constant rate and whether the velocity of the magnet will
continue to move at a constant rate once more and more weight is added to the magnet, and
discovering why the magnet moves at a constant rate even when weight is added or whether the
magnet moves at a continuously accelerating rate as more and more weight is added. This will be
done by looking at various physics concepts these concepts include; Lenz s law, Faradays law of
electromagnetism, Newton s first law of motion, induced ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

Lenz s law can be seen to state that when a the north or south pole of a magnet is approaching the
nonconductive tube, the induced current flows in such a way as to make the side of the tube that
is nearest to the pole of the magnet to oppose the approaching magnet. Upon withdrawing the
magnet from the tube, the induced current can be seen to reverse itself, and the near side of the
coil switches poles to produce an attracting force on the receding bar magnet. This effect can be
seen in the diagram below: From analyzing the above diagram it can be seen that the above
statements can be perceived in a far clearer manor as the effect of the induced emf can be
understood far more easily.
Furthermore Lenz s law also states that an induced current will only be formed if a magnetic object
is passed through the nonconductive tube or coil, which then creates a magnetic field that is equal
and opposite to the direction of the magnetic field as stated above. However if the magnetic object
is increased in velocity then the magnetic field strength will also be increased, which can be seen
to not only support Lenz s law but also faradays law of electromagnetism

Code Switching Research Paper
Code Meshing and Code Switching
Code meshing is using colloquial terms, or if you want to call it slang in your grammar. We use
it a lot in current times, while we text or talk to our friends and relatives. Code meshing can also
be combining, proper words and slang terms and having conversations with other s. Code
switching is a change of mind with your words, you aren t going to say the things you said to
your friends to your mother. Code switching played a huge part in my life at an early age.
Code switching has been used a lot over the years in job interviews. For example, some African
Americans feel that they have to change the way they talk when they are around White people. It s
just like speaking to a female that you really like, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Some have people who train them on not being politically correct. You don t want to always say
what s on your mind because that will throw people off. Keeping it real doesn t always pay the
bills in that industry. I use celeberties for a reason because that is how they are taught to be in that
world. For
Example, Rick Ross raps about drug dealing and guns but that is not who he is, he knows how to
act when the music is done.
In class I learned that it was such thing as African American language. I totally disagree with that,
because in 2016 everyone speaks with a slang or terms. You can t give off a name to one race,
when other people use that type of language. That is when code meshing comes in, you will
notice how people speak differently. In Nigeria people use this term called Broken English . That
is when you say the word half way but it Is not proper at all.
Code meshing is used a lot where I am from in the inner city of Baltimore. I grew up in the city,
where majority of my friends are from around the way. They taught me certain slangs and I felt
like I was cool. Code switching comes in on this one, when kids want to fit in so they use slangs
to feel hip. Like to some kids, they feel that it wouldn t be cool for them to speak proper in front of

How did the relationship between the Middle East and the European powers change during the
eighteenth and nineteenth centuries?
Many things happened in the Middle East during the eighteenth and nineteen century. For example,

This mixture of ethnicities, there are major conflicts of religious, territorial order (including the
struggle for water) and economic (because of oil). During the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries
two main events changed the relationship between Middle east and Europe; Napoleonic Invasion
and The decline of the Ottoman Empire and the British.
Egypt was a place of the oldest civilizations (4000 BC) that even Alexander s command, the Great
(322 BC), is ruled by dynasties. In the following centuries, the Nile people are dominated by Roman
(first century BC), Byzantine (fourth century), Arabs (seventh century) which impose Islam and
Turkish Ottoman (XVI century).
It Faces Napoleonic invasion in the late eighteenth century, but the framework of European
penetration is the construction of the Suez Canal (1869) and the British occupation in 1882 until
1936, when they spend to maintain troops only in the channel. In 1922 Egypt proclaims
independence and install a monarchy. During World War II was the scene of conflict between
British against German and Italian. The post war crisis and defeat for the Israelis against the
creation of this state (1948) cause antimonarquistas and anticolonial protests. In this context,

Techno trash (or e waste) is one of the negative impacts of new technology. It is the rubbish created
by discarded electronics. Developed countries such as the U.S export 50% to 80% of their techno
trash to poorer Asian countries. The discarded technology is processed by workers who do not have
the right equipment to handle and safely recycle these tech materials. This puts the workers and
community to high levels of toxic materials, which could turn towns and the surrounding area into
contaminated dumps. The e waste that isn t transported to Asia ends up in local landfills and poses
risks to the surrounding environment and communities. Technology is made up of a mixture of
dangerous chemicals. The toxic chemicals can cause serious damage to the environment. Some of

American Football was voted the most popular sport in America by 20% over baseball(ESPN

different sports. The first football game was actually just an altered soccer game between Rutgers
and Princeton, but no one would realize the revolution it would bring to America. It then evolved
with the help of rugby. Twenty years later the NFL was born and football went from a simple
college game to a professional sport. The NFL today began as a simple concept which blossomed

Why I Want To Marry Cromwell
Cromwell was at the height of power, religious success and continued to have a tight hold on his
master King Henry VIII. After the death of Henry s third wife Jane Seymour, Cromwell advised
a new political marriage for the king. To pursue his own advantage and build Protestant
connections in Europe, Cromwell suggested the king take a German bride. This would also aid
Cromwell against anti Cromwell factions and nobilities, due to the potential bride being an
outsider rather than English noblewomen. Cromwell finally found success in the Duke of Cleves
sister Anne. Henry, eager to marry once again, sent his artist to paint her portrait, determined to
have a beautiful wife. Henry received her portrait and approved of the young Anne of Cleves, she
soon set sail for England, an enormous accomplishment for Cromwell s domestic and foreign
policy. Henry titled Cromwell earl of Essex on 18... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

The Impact of Urban Legends Throughout History and Around the World
Urban legends have always intrigued me. I am unsure if it is the scare factor that intrigues me, the
way in which some of them are told, or some of the lessons that are supposed to be taken from
them but one thing I know for sure is that I do not stand alone in this belief. In fact urban legends
are told all over the world, even in countries that many have never heard of before. Many people
of all backgrounds find them to be mystifying and sometimes even alarming. It seems as if urban
legends have the ability to draw any person in ranging from a young child to the typical adult male.

With all of this information collected, I was able to begin to analyze my notes and findings.
While conducting my research, I found that urban legends have existed since the beginning of
time in all different kinds of cultures and societies around the world. One example of this would
be the Incas. The idea of urban legends in Inca society played a key role throughout many people
s lives. Legends of early rulers in Inca society were some of the most common this clearly
reflecting how important the rule of some of these leaders initially were. In fact it has been
observed that these urban legends reflect many of the preoccupations of the Incas wars and
alliances, imperial expansion and dynastic succession (Cavendish 347). Other early legends
originated in the West in classical Greek and Roman society. It has been said that when interpreting
legends, Greeks themselves valued them not only as entertaining stories, but on one level at least,
as examples of the heights and depths at which human nature is capable of reaching (Cavendish
154). A good example of this would be the Odyssey of Odysseus. In his search for a homeland,
Odysseus encountered many obstacles that

How To Describe The Velvet Underground
5. The Velvet Underground Sister Ray
This classic rock song was a staple of The Velvet Underground s live shows. They often closed out
their set with Sister Ray, jamming out for up to thirty minutes, sometimes more. The studio
recording of it was a single take that lasts over seventeen minutes.
4. The Kingsmen Louie Louie
This song was a Richard Berry single from 1955, which The Kingsmen covered in 1963 at
Northwestern, Inc., Motion Pictures and Recording, located in Portland. Like many single take
recordings, the track contains an audible error just after the first guitar break. Jack Ely starts
singing the second verse too early and stopped himself short, creating a gap that drummer Lynn
Easton smoothly filled with a clever drum fill. The band actually weren t too thrilled with the first
take, but for some reason, that was the only one they did, and it became a classic rock song.

2. The Beatles Twist Shout
While recording their debut album Please Please Me The Beatles famously did a one off cover
of The Isley Brothers song Twist Shout. Recording 11 songs in only 10 hours, John Lennon s
voice was hurting, to say the least, on top of his having a cold at the time. Producer George
Martin had left this song for last, and though they attempted a second take, Lennon s voice was
gone by them. It s also rumored that Lennon chugged a glass of milk before the first take in an
attempt to soothe his throat, which gave his voice that extra raspiness audible on Twist Shout. It
was the first take only in this case!

Accomplishments During The Renaissance
The renaissance is one of the most fascinating and unique periods of European history. It began in
Italy about 1350 and in the rest of Europe after 1450 and lasted until about 1620. Furthermore, the
renaissance is a historical event known as the period of the revival of art, literature, and learning in
Europe. The name Renaissanceoriginates from several Italian Scholars in the early 15th century that
used the term rinascitГ ( rebirth or renaissance ) to describe their own age as one in which
learning, literature, music and the arts were reborn after a long, dark Middle Ages. (The Columbia
Encyclopedia,2016). Likewise, it was also the time of the Humanism. The intellectual movement
called humanism focused on human life and its achievements. The humanists were fascinated by
cultures of ancient Greece and Rome.
Music is an art that appears in all cultures all over the world. Moreover, during the Renaissance,
vocal music was more dominant than instrumental music, and composers wrote music to enhance
the meaning of the text. In fact, music played a significant role in society during this period as it
helped to shape, advance cultures and was an essential part of civic, religious, and courtly life. The

How Is Mesopotamia Similar
Writing Assignment Egypt and Mesopotamia both have similarities as well as differences. The
geography of the two civilizations are similar because a river plays an important part in their way
of living. They are different because Mesopotamia is divided into regions. The governments of the
two countries have large differences. The advances in technology and science were relatively
similar as well because both countries invented writing systems and irrigation systems.
In Egypt and Mesopotamia, the environments have extreme similarities. In Egypt, one of the
main areas in the environment is the Sahara Desert. The desert runs across the top of Africa
taking up a large part of Egypt. Because the dessert is so dry, people are not able to live there,
but it is useful because it keeps enemies and intruders out of the area. The Nile river is also very
important in Egypt. It starts south of Ethiopia and flows into the Mediterranean sea. The water
from the Nile makes it possible to grow crops. In Mesopotamia, the Tigris and Euphrates rivers

The Ignored Lessons Of Anne Frank, By Bruno Bettelheim
Everyone seeks the approval or ratification of other individuals, whether it is a doctor seeking the
approval of peers, or individuals complying with the wishes of their doctors, as a means of
pleasing them. Ratification can be dangerous as individuals give power to those from which they
seek ratification. This can lead to relying on deception in the pursuit of ratification, as well as
others completely complying with those they deem as experts, in pursuit of the doctors ratification.

and former professor of psychology at the University of Chicago, provides evidence that supports
experts abusing power in pursuit of ratification. Likewise,... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

She did all of this despite obtaining none of the qualification required to diagnose mental

she abused her power by presenting herself as a doctor of psychology, was where she gains
access to a local mental hospital by presenting herself as such, stating in her article that one day
each week for a period of three months I observed, interviewed, and tested young patients of the
district mental hospital (587). This shows her grievous abuse of power to further her research
project, the purpose of which is to gain the ratification of her peers. Likewise, Dr. Bruno
Bettelheim demonstrates a similar abuse of power by an expert, both in his article, and in his
fabricated credentials. Dr. Bettelheim fabricated his credentials in that he presented himself as a
doctor of psychology, when he was not, and used these false credentials to live as a professor at the
University of Chicago, lecturing, researching and conducting clinical practices when he was
nowhere near qualified to do any of those activities (Finn). Yet in the article The Ignored Lesson of

The Rebirth Of Community Schooling

Today s urban communities are all too often debilitated by poverty, violence, drug addiction and
crime. The decaying community has little to offer it s youth who are being born into overwhelming
disadvantage through no fault of their own. Disadvantaged children lag behind throughout the
school years, mainly due to poverty. Despite our wealth and sophistication, thirteen million children
in the United States live below the poverty level (Williams Boyd 1). A multitude of problems
directly related to poverty significantly decrease a child s chances of academic success.

the necessary support system needed to provide students with imperative resources essential to the
achievement of academic success. Partnership programs between schools, families and

children and families on school sites, thus, earning the title of community school. As stated on the

Gender Expectations On Men And Women And Gender Roles In...
Should our biological sex determine our personality? In modern society, they do. From birth, we
are assigned a gender and are socialized to conform to certain gender roles. Even when the babies
are still in the womb, we put gender expectations on them. For instance, boys like blue while girls
like pink. Genderexpectation impact men and women in the areas of employment, dating, and
marriage. Men and women are impacted by gender expectations when they look for a job. As
children, we are told that we can be anything. Sadly, this is a lie. For example, men get ridiculed
for wanting to be an elementary school teacher. People question why they want this. For many, the
role of an elementary school teacher is better suited for a woman. They question if he has any bad
intentions. Does he want to help students, or does he really have some other agenda? This is a
tragedy because children often imitate behaviors they see. Maleelementary school teachers are
positive role models for young boys. They help young boys to shape how they should behave.
Not only do boys benefit from male teachers, but girls do as well. We live in a world that is so
diverse. It is important for young, impressionable children to witness this first hand. Gender
expectations in employment also affect women. For instance, women are often discouraged from
pursuing a career as a firefighter. Many people consider this job to be better suited for males. They
believe that women just aren t strong enough. During World

Questions On The Greek God
Batoul Labban Professor Gill 9 December 2015 Final Exam Assignment Part A: 1.I believe that
every Greek god has their own way of being significant. But I also believe that one Greek god
does stand out. I think that the most significant Greek God that we have read about is Zeus.
Zeus was known to be the as the King of all Gods in mythology. Since we covered most of the
Greek gods and goddesses I read so much descriptions about Zeus that honestly point him out as
to being the most significant. In the eyes of many people Zeus (Roman name is Jupiter) was
portrayed as the king who basically oversaw the whole universe. He was the brother of Poseidon
(who was the God of the sea) and Hades (who was the God of the underworld). Even though both
Poseidon and Hades were powerful, Zeus was even more powerful. Like I have mentioned
before Zeus was often referred to as the Father of God and Men . He literally was the father of
the majority of Gods because of his sexual activities with many of the female goddesses. Zeus
controlled the lighting and thunder. He usually used the lighting as a weapon. He was the king of
the famous Mount Olympus. Mount Olympus was basically the home of many different Greek
Gods that were mentioned over the course. Because he was so powerful and so significant he
assigned the positions to many different gods. For example he gave Aphrodite the position as
being the Goddess of love and gave Apollo the position of being the God of the sun. Aphrodite and
Apollo

Lewis Cass And Andrew Jackson s The Cherokee Removal Act
The Cherokee Removal Act is believed to have been causation of prolonged engagement between
the settlers of Georgia, Alabama, and parts of North and South Carolina up until 1836, when
Andrew Jackson officially signed it into law. Andrew Jackson had a lot to say about the need for
removal of natives and two main reasons why it has been such a lengthy procedure. Another man
who also had something to say about the matter at hand was Lewis Cass who was Governor of the
Michigan Territory from 1816 1831. He was well known as one of the most experienced, and highly
thoughtful experts in the country on United StatesIndian policy and the histories and cultures of the

Andrew Jackson in his state of the union address of 1830 had the pleasure to announce his long
fought battle in favor of removal had began coming to existence. Humanity and Philanthropy
were two of his main points for why this has been such a strenuous task put upon the nation by
the natives. Humanity has often wept over the fate of the aborigines of this country, and
philanthropy has been long busily employed in devising means to advert it. (127) Jacksonbrings
up the point regarding Americans moving west and humanity not weeping at the fact that they
leave but are rather joyful due to the freedoms of body and mind (128) America grants. Jackson
even goes far as asking the American public How many thousands of our own people would
gladly embrace removing to the west on such conditions? (128) Jackson also discussed the
removal procedure and about how the government can be fair and liberal if they agreed to the
laws of the states from which they are present or how the government can be harsh if the
alternative for removal isn t accepted by the natives. Both Andrew Jackson and Cass have similar
arguments relating to Philanthropy between Civilized people and the Indians believing it has
failed but what about the will of Young Wolf? It seems from reading that will that Young Wolf had
a fair knowledge of Civilized culture after death and how a legal contract between property, money

Psychoosexual And Psychosocial Theory Of Development
PSYCHOSEXUAL AND PSYCHOSOCIAL THEORY OF
DEVELOPMENT
Human development is a lifelong process, which describes the growth of human throughout the life.
There are many developmental theories which provide a set of guiding principles and concepts of
human growth and development including physical, behavioral, cognitive and emotional growth
and change. Out of those theories
Psychosexual and Psychosocial theories are the two main theories of Psychoanalytic .
Here I am going to focus on these two theories of development and highlight what these two
theories have in common and how they differ.
The theory of psychosexual development is one of the well known and controversial theories of
personal development, proposed by the famous Austrian ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
According to both the theorists t he child s personality depends on the success of going through all
these stages, because the childhood trauma can change the development of personality. In addition,
it is important for individuals to overcome these different stages of developme nt in a positively
balanced way in order to develop their minds and beliefs.
However, there are several differences as well within these two theories of psychosexual and
psychosocial development. Even though both theorists believe that personality develops in a series
of stages, there are differences that exist between the names of the stages and the developmental
issues that are faced during each stage.
The main difference is that unlike Freud s theory of psychosexual stages, Erikson s theory
describes the impact of social experience across the whole lifespan. Freud s psychosexual theory
emphasizes the importance of basic needs and biological forces, while Erikson s psychosocial
theory is based upon social and environmental factors.
Furthermore, Freud s conflict centers on sex, while Erikson s theory takes psychosocial approach,
which means that people are shaped by society and need to be part of that

At first, the aim of the Muslim League was to establish friendly relations between the Muslims and
the British Crown. After the Royal decision of the annulment of the partition of Bengal in 1911,
Muslim League saw that in order to get their requests dealt with, they need to form relations with
the Congress, the representative party of Hindus. Muhammad Ali Jinnah, the member of Congress,

Simon Commission was sent ahead before its decided time, as stated in the Government Act of India

constitutional reforms of this country. Simon commission consisted of seven members and its
chairman was Sir John Simon. The commission consisted of only British. In their Annual Session

It reached India in 1928 and received a hostile welcome here. Go Back Simon! was the slogan of

Central Assembly, whose services will be required when needed. The Shafi League of AIML at that
time thought that by opposing Hindu boycott, they would be favored by the government. In the

parliamentary responsibility at the center. It accepted the idea of federalism and sought to retain

Masculinity And Masculinity, By Michael Kimmel Essay
In western culture, men are often subject to extreme methods of proving their masculinity, and to
reinforce what it truly means to be a man. Michael Kimmel, famous sociologist said, Masculinity is
the relentless repudiation of the feminine (Kimmel, 2015), which not only reflects how men think
about themselves but how North Americans as an entire culture think about masculinityand
manhood. The following pages will be centered on issues of the lens of masculinity in contexts
such as the sphere of education, the predominance and dependence of social relationships, and most
importantly fatherhood, which will be of a larger focus as the maleenters adulthood.
As a child, women and men are predominantly on the same page. With the exception of their
shared interests and activities. As a child grows up, the classroom setting starts to highlight the
differences between both boys and girls. Most often, education is catered towards girls and the
learning styles that girls flourish in (Vincent Ball, 2007). Girls outperform boys in almost every
subject when they are elementary school age (Vincent Ball, 2007) because in the classroom, it is
taught that the qualities with being a good student are most often synonymous with being a good
girl, and here is where you can see a dichotomy begin to occur (Vincent Ball, 2007). Boys are
conditioned from the beginning to understand that being a man, and being masculine is the polar
opposite of what it means to be feminine. Early

highly focused evaluations that measure changes in human knowledge, attitudes and practices in
response to a specific intervention, usually outreach, demonstration or education (The Duluth
Lakeside Neighbourhood KAP Study Karlyn Eckman and Rachel Walker, July
2008). KAP studies are an important tool in the field of public health. They are more cost
effective and they also use resources sparingly in comparison to other methods of social research
because of their great focus and limitations of scope. Social surveys include a broader range,
whereas KAP studies focus only on a
particular topic. The emphasis in a KAP study is on: Knowledge: It is the understanding of a
particular topic. What does a community know about a certain thing ? Attitude: It means what they
feel about a particular thing and the pre conceived notions which they might have about it. Practice:
The actions which are displayed as a direct consequence of the knowledge and attitude possessed by
the community.
Protocol of a KAP research: It consists of a methodology which defines the design of the study, the
manner in which it should be conducted and the way to analyse the findings. The following

Compression clothing is apparel designed to press firmly...
Compression clothing is apparel designed to press firmly against an athlete s body to provide
physical support. The use of compression first appeared 60 years ago to provide relief for those
suffering from circulation disorders, and clothing to provide compression had been introduced
following this. In recent years, the clothing has grown rapidly in popularity among sports
practitioners and enthusiasts. The benefits that compression clothing provides include circulation
improvements, enhanced musclerecovery from injuries, improvements in oxygen use efficiency and
distribution, and increases in overall athletic performance.
1. Circulation: A 1987 study by the American Journal of Physical Medicine showed that athletes
who wore compression ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Theories for the causes of these two benefits include improved muscle function due to the
compression clothing holding the muscles in place. When muscles are not held into place, they
vibrate, which could lead to energy loss. It is also quite likely that circulation system and oxygen
usage improvements described previously contribute to increases in athletic endurance.
For all these reasons, athletes can stand to benefit from wearing compression clothing while taking
part in sports or exercising. Due to improvements in the way the body handles oxygen and blood
during aerobic activity from wearing this type of clothing, intensity of exercise can be increased
and endurance related benefits may also be experienced. Not only can compression clothing
promote recovery from injuries, compression clothing also commonly features thick padding that
eliminates excess sweat produced by the body and provides cushioning to shield athletes bodies
from injury. Because of this, wearing compression clothing is advisable not only for efficiency
reasons, it just might make you safer while you are out on the field as well.

Persuasion; The act of getting someone to do or believe something through reasoning or the use of
temptation. For example, right now I am trying to persuade you to read this essay about
persuasion. When trying to persuade someone it is very effective to use ethos, pathos, and logos.
These techniques are used to make the the author seem credible, appeal to emotions, and use facts

persuasionto try and get others to join their side. In Julius Caesar Act I Scene ii Cassius has a
monologue where he is trying to convince Brutus that Caesar should not be the king of Rome
because he is not more worthy than anyone else. After Cassius talks for a while Brutus says that he

A Psychoanalysis on Ridley Scott’s Alien”
A Psychoanalysis on Ridley Scott s Alien
In 1923 Sigmund Freud noticed the clash within thought and mental processes which led him to
identify three parts of our psyche. He referred to these as the Id, Ego and the Superego. The Id is
the primitive, unconscious basis of the psyche, dominated by primary urges *. It comes from the
initial instinct to satisfy our needs and desires what can be known as the pleasure principle. The
uncontrollable repressed part of our psyche, for example a newborn child is primarily id
controlled. However external contact with the outside world shapes and develops the psyche. At

9, he states, Freshly shaved and powered faces of aunt and uncles surround taco and tamale table
. Tacos and tamales are related to the Latino American culture. Baca also states in lines 26 and 27
I eat bean and chile burrito. In the Mexican American culture those foods were very popular
around the 1980 s when Baca wrote this. In the beginning he compare s his Aunts as trees using a
simile and comparing the children as rivers. Just as roots connect a tree to a part of land, he is
saying that his aunts are also connected to the land. When the author compares the family to parts
of the land, it shows that he may have been rejected or not included in the land grants. He
emphasized, Tempers ignite on land grant issues which explains that anger explode because of the
problems with land grants involving family.
Describing his family as a part of land is a form of imagery. Baca is very descriptive throughout

Postmodern Concepts Influence on Museology
Postmodern concepts have influenced curation and exhibitions, under the effect of museum
classifications which determine the audiences perspectives on exhibitions. Postmodernism is highly
influential and appealing because it is avant garde (challenging past traditions). People appreciate
new concepts, especially those that challenge the concept of art. The process of curation not only
considers the organisation of the exhibition but is highly influenced by conceptual frameworks,
postmodernism being part of the world agency. Museum classifications affect different audience

Museums were established for the recognition and preservation of historical artefacts. With this in
mind, when the audience views an object in a museum, they may recognise it as being
historically important and other works not exhibited, especially by female artists, fail to reach
recognition due to the exclusion of curators and art collectors prejudiced opinions. This ignorance
of acknowledging female artists was very common among galleries in the 19th century, and even
today. In 1985, the feminist activist group, Guerilla Girls, set out to highlight the injustice shown
to female artists. In 1989, At the Metropolitan Museum of Art, they compared female nudes and

Literature class back in August, Holsinger succinctly defined Fantasy Literature as, making reality
more real, . Fantasy Literature is famous for its talking animals, magical powers, utopian/dystopian
societies, and containing exceptionally imaginative plots. After reading and analyzing several
foundational fantasy novels, without a doubt, allegory is omnipresent. Furthermore, this literary

Choice Theory Vs Reality Therapy
Article Review and Critique
Choice Theory may be applied to a wide array of persons and conflicts, the focus is on total
behavior, which is based on four interacting needs present from birth to death (Seligman
Reichenberg, 2014). Choice theory and Reality therapy correlate in that they both empower people
to take control of their internal and external conflicts. Furthermore, Reality Therapy initiated by
William Glasser in the 1960s is particularly useful in settings such as schools, correctional
institutions, and substance use treatment programs that emphasize changing behavior (Seligman
Reichenberg, 2014). In the article, Frequently Asked Questions and Not So Brief Answers: Part II,
we are able to analyze the responses to two questions for teachers and therapists.

Partitioning methods: This algorithm groups dataset into q clusters, where q is a predefined
parameter.
It continuously reassigns objects from one group to another group so as to r to minimize its
objective function.
Hierarchical methods: In the hierarchical method the aim is to group data objects into a hierarchical
tree of clusters. Hierarchical clustering methods can be further classified as either agglomerative or
divisive, where the hierarchical decomposition is formed in a bottom up(merging) or top
down(splitting) fashion respectively.

Dr. D Arcy s The Fate Of Irish Culture
By beginning the story with a broader canvas, Joyce was able to connect Gabriel s experience to
the context of Ireland and it s society at the time. His thoughts at the end can be understood in such
a way that they can resonate with the entire nation of Ireland instead of being left at the sadness of
one man. These thoughts are motivated by Mr. D Arcy s singing that evening, and to some level,
Gabriel is contemplating his own mortality. He is also analyzing the fate of Irish cultureby
identifying that it must adapt in order to retain its relevance in a modernizing world despite the
efforts of his aunts.
Joyce describes everything in great detail giving his characters, no matter how small of a role
they play, life and a story; this in turn gives the entire party an air of life and vibrancy. However,
the party takes place in a beyond thoroughly described, old house. Joyce shows off this house with
every detail of its ancient splendor seeming to push it even further into the past just to show that
this way of life no longer fits into the modern Irish society. The detail in which the feast is
portrayed highlights how important food and its traditionality is to Gabriel s aunts in their efforts to
preserve the traditional Irish culture.
Joyce uses subtle detailing to create Gabriel by intensely describing his appearance and
observations. Joyce begins by describing Gabriel s carefully protected patent leather shoes (para.
20) a trend from the continent (para. 44) to show

Otosclerosis Research Paper
Otosclerosis is a disorder that is inherited that can cause loss of hearing because of lack
of the sound being intensified. The article, Bone mineral density measurements in Otosclerosis
using dual energy X ray absorptiometry does a study that is supposed to evaluate patients with
Otosclerosis and compare their bone mineral density. As this disease progresses it can lead to
conductive hearing loss. Both Otosclerosis and osteoporosis have things in common, such as
collagen gene deformities in both. Blood was collected from the participants of the study as a
fasting blood sample. The bone mineral test was done by X ray. The results of this study were
taken by age, height, weight and BMI, to categorize the participants. While ... Show more content

and Otosclerosis. One difference is, that Otosclerosis may have younger patients with it. Patients
who had Otosclerosis had a correlation with being Carhart notch positive. Carhart notch positive
is a bone conduction that is observed in pure tone audiometry at frequencies from 1 4 kHz, and it
is found with diseases that cause conductive hearing loss. Overall, the disorder has to do with
bone density loss.
This article for me was very interesting and taught me about something I had never heard
of before. I have heard of osteoporosis, but never Otosclerosis. I think that Otosclerosis is very
interesting, that it can be obtained in many different ways, such as hormonal changes,
autoimmune as well as inherited. Although I know that there are bones in the ears, it is not
something that I ever thought of, that a person could lose bone conduction for sounds in the

The Downfall Of Habits In William Shakespeare s Macbeth
Macbeth , one of William Shakespeare s many famous plays, and the story that it follows is one that
is quite unfortunate. The protagonist, Macbeth, is a thane in Scotland who after a battle meets
three witches who grant him three prophecies, one is of the title that he already held, another is of
a position he would receive moments later, and the last most lofty one is that Macbethshall become
king. The first two predictions create credibility for the third, and with this third prediction made
it would seem that Macbeth has been stripped of any decision and is forced to assert himself as
king through murder. The third prediction in particular creates the greatest evidence that Macbeth
is acting on the witches prophecies because he must, but when the situation is further inspected it
becomes clear that the evil acts he commits are of his own free will, and examples of this can be
found in three murders he either commits himself or hires murderers for: the murder of the king,
the murder of one of his friends, and the murder of a man s entire family. The first of the heinous
crimes that Macbeth commits is by far the most monumental, and that is the murder of the king of
Scotland, Duncan. From the witches first set of predictions that Macbeth, shalt be king hereafter,
(Shakespeare I.3.71 72) it would seem that Macbeth s hands were tied and he had no choice but to
kill his king, but in reality the witches don t say this anywhere in their first predictions. In addition

The Obesity Epidemic
Introduction The World Health Organization defines being overweight or obese as abnormal or
excessive fat accumulation that may impair an individual s state of health. One asks themselves,
how being overweight or obese can be measured? Measuring or classifying an individual of
being overweight or obese can be done by measuring an individual s body mass index or BMI.
BMI is an index that classifies individuals to determine if they are either underweight, normal
weight, overweight or obesity. BMI can be easily calculated by an individual s weight in
kilograms divided by the square of individual s height in meters (kg / m^2). According to the
World Health Organization, an individual is classified by BMI, in the following order:
underweight = 18.5, normal weight = 18.5 24.9, overweight = 25 29.9, obesity = 30. BMI is
useful to measure population because it is standardized in both sexes and all ages in adults.
According to the WHO, overweight and obesity is the fifth leading risk global deaths. Being
overweight or obese can lead to diabetes, osteoarthritis, cardiovascular diseases (heart disease,
stroke) and certain cancers (endometrial, breast and colon). Epidemiologists and others in respect
fields have figured out the causes that lead to being overweight or obese. The main cause s an
energy imbalance between calories consumed and calories expended. The Centers for Disease
Control and Prevention and the WHO have seen that globally an increased intake of energy dense

Personal Goals
As with most people engaged in this class, I have contemplated the question: what do I want to
accomplish with my life? This intricate question burdens many people, not just those of us that
have chosen to continue our education. I have seen it with my own children as they contemplate
which career path will lead them to a comfortable life with financial stability. My most obvious goal
and reason for enrolling in University of Phoenix is like every other student: to complete this
program and earn my degree. However, the fruition of my goal ultimately depends on the

mind to continue to read, learn, and comprehend new knowledge as it presents itself. I believe that
life is an education program and I continue to encounter new knowledge every day. While I may
consider some of the learnt items miniscule, I know that ultimately they influence my life and the
decisions I make.
I have been employed in the hospitality industry for almost 20 years. While engaging, it has
become somewhat of a complacent, day to day routine. My original goal was to find a vehicle to
move me into an alternative direction. In some of my past jobs I had always excelled when it
came to numbers so accounting positions came naturally for me. The dilemma, however, was that
my personality conflicted with the facet of accounting positions that required being stuck behind a
desk and pressing out spreadsheets. I found that although I was an individual that uniquely
enjoyed accounting I also enjoyed the ability to be in the driver s seat and guide the operations of
a business. For that reason, the natural aspiration that soon developed was the goal of operating my
own business. Since accomplishing this goal, I now have an established practice that provides
financial statement preparation and accounting services to small organizations. While I have the
skill set to perform the tasks required by my career

Research Project Social Media Campaign
Marketing in a Global Environment
Professor Mark Robinson
27 November 2014
Introduction
In this project, one looks at a successful social media campaign. The ALS ice bucket challenge is an
example of a successful campaign that brought millions in donations and thousands of participants.
Using the Dragonfly Effect, the campaign will be analyzed and then recommendations would be
uncovered.
The ALS Ice Bucket Challenge was started by two people, former baseball player Pete Frates, and
Pete Quinn from Yonkers, New York. Both are afflicted with ALS. ALS stands for Amyotrophic
lateral sclerosis or better known as Lou Gehrig s disease (Friedman Friedman, 2014). By July 2014,
this marketing plan had gone viral. The challenge involved declining the act and paying $100 to
charity for ALS or ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In the bucket challenge, the use of celebrities and the related philanthropy of playing along with a
humorous event can induce others to do the same and also donate more. It is like enlisting a group
of evangelists. The act must also be easy to understand and perform. It must be immediately
actionable since most people are not going to participate if it is difficult or dangerous.
One of the most important principles in the dragonfly effect is fun. The bucket challenge must be
fun if one wants to keep the involvement of the masses. Besides that, tailored acts that tap into
people s unique advantage can help spread the campaign. The audience must feel that the bucket
challenge makes them special and part of a larger cause. The act cannot be too difficult or too
improper or people especially celebrities would not participate. Finally the act must be open and no
permission or authority is involved (Aaker, Smith Adler, 2010). Anyone with a bucket, ice and

Sistine Chapel Ceiling Research Paper
Throughout the centuries civilizations have produced men and women of extreme talent. The
extraordinary works they created can define a period such as the cave art of ancient man or modern
art representing cultures of today. The High Renaissance period was just such a time of expression.
A period joining together the enlightenment and modernity of western civilization in master works

generations that will follow.
One such story is of Sistine Chapel ceiling painting. Located in the Vatican, Italyby 1477 a new
renovation of the chapel was begun by Pope Sixtus IV lasting until 1480. He employed famous
artists of the day such as Pietro Perugino, Sandro Botticelli, Domenico Ghirlandaio and

The Pros and Cons of the Great Migration Essay
The Great Migration was a huge relocation of African Americans from the Southern states of the
United States to northern and Midwestern cities. This occurred between the years of 1910 and
1970. Over 6 million African Americans traveled to Northern cities during the migration. Some
northern city destinations were Richmond, D.C, Baltimore, New York, and Newark. Western and
Midwestern destinations were those such as Los Angelos, San Francisco, St. Louis, Chicago, and
Detroit. During this time period and previous years, Jim Crow lawsin the South were greatly in

mentioned him before. The interview he participated in was conducted for a Black Migration
project. Because he has been a part of this mass movement of African Americans, it makes him a

The Studies Of Music And How It May Not Help The Alzheimer...
In order to understand how the studies of music and how it may or may not help the Alzheimer s
disease (AD) one would need the background of it. AD is a progressive neurological disease that
leads to deterioration in cognitive abilities. People with AD encounter a progressive decline in their
neurological capabilities, which manifest in languagedeficits, among other cognitive difficulties.
The main failures in speech include naming difficulties, verbal fluency deficit, comprehension
problems, and deterioration of spontaneous speech. People with AD tend to have discourse deficits,
which include empty phrases, indefinite words, and repetitions. The speech of a person with the
deficits is difficult for an interlocutor to follow. Thus, theses progressive language failures can lead
people with AD to isolation. Due to their progressive inability to communicate, people with AD
need interventions that address their communication needs and help prevent social isolation (Dass,
A., Amir, D. 2014).
Increased social interaction can improve quality of life by enabling people with AD to remain
socially engaged. Communication trainings include active instruction such as role playing and
analyzing video observations of conversations with people with AD. Computer based systems are
also used, providing multimedia stimuli. Reminiscence therapy uses the intact long term memory
that enabling people with AD to engage in a conversation about their past experiences (Dass, A.,

Australia Post Executive Summary
Executive Summary
Early into his tenure as Australia Post CEO, Ahmed Fahour recognised that the postal services
industry was in a state of transition and the organisation needed an urgent change in direction if it
was to survive in the long term. The extremely challenging landscape for the national carrier led
Fahour to focus his efforts on innovative solutions with the potential to transform Australia Post s
business model and strategically position the organisation in the heart of the digital economy. The
focus on internally developing strategic capabilities through innovation has seen a shift towards the
prioritisation of its workforce engagement and diversity, which Fahour believes are paramount for
businesses looking to make innovative changes. Technology continues to pose significant
opportunities and threats for the postal services industry, and while it has been a major disruptor by
eroding mail volumes, on the other hand, the rapid uptake of online shopping has boosted industry
performance resulting in exponential growth in demand for parcel delivery services. The following

The Night Of The Midnight Run
It was a dull Monday morning. I was sitting in religion class and looking out the window.
Suddenly, I heard my teacher say the words Midnight Run. Little did I know, this would forever
change my perspective on the way I saw the world. A Midnight Run is when many volunteers come
together and distribute goods for the homeless. We gather items such as toiletries, blankets, jackets,
gloves, hats, scarves, backpacks, and shoes that come to us in the form of donations. We make
several stops in Manhattan and distribute the items. At first I was hesitant to do it. The thought of
being in the middle of Manhattan late at night made me nervous; but my best friend begged me to
sign up with her, so I reluctantly did. As the night of the Midnight Run... Show more content on

The overall experience reminded me of a time when my cheer team and I were competing. My
team and I were feeling discouraged but my coach gave us some tips on the routines to improve.
We all worked together and valued her suggestions. That seemingly small gesture of hers came a
long way when we walked to pick up our first place prize, after anticipating we were to lose all
day. This was the first time I saw how far a little gesture, or something that seems rather
insignificant can go. Unfortunately, it got very cold throughout the night, with the temperature
dropping to below 0 degrees. I could barely stand outside all bundled up in clothes that fit me.
How did these people manage to sleep outside all night? Thoughts flooded my mind and I was in
awe of their situation at hand. By the time we arrived at the last stop, we had run out of almost
everything. People understandably took whatever they could get. A man took a bright pink,
Barbie blanket and a pink hat; he was so desperate to stay warm. I couldn t imagine myself
having to worry about these big issues. What seemed like critical issues to me in my life at the
time were miniscule compared what these people were facing. I was dealing with things such as
difficulty in school work and balancing a social life with my three jobs. I never had to worry
about being warm or where my next meal would come from. That was every day for these people.
The most touching part of the night was when I met the last woman I

  • 2. The Strength Of An Induced Magnetic Field Magnet Drop Introduction Throughout this report the strength of an induced magnetic field will be explored, this will be achieved through dropping a rare earth magnet through an aluminum tube and testing whether the velocity of the magnet will move at a constant rate and whether the velocity of the magnet will continue to move at a constant rate once more and more weight is added to the magnet, and discovering why the magnet moves at a constant rate even when weight is added or whether the magnet moves at a continuously accelerating rate as more and more weight is added. This will be done by looking at various physics concepts these concepts include; Lenz s law, Faradays law of electromagnetism, Newton s first law of motion, induced ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Lenz s law can be seen to state that when a the north or south pole of a magnet is approaching the nonconductive tube, the induced current flows in such a way as to make the side of the tube that is nearest to the pole of the magnet to oppose the approaching magnet. Upon withdrawing the magnet from the tube, the induced current can be seen to reverse itself, and the near side of the coil switches poles to produce an attracting force on the receding bar magnet. This effect can be seen in the diagram below: From analyzing the above diagram it can be seen that the above statements can be perceived in a far clearer manor as the effect of the induced emf can be understood far more easily. Furthermore Lenz s law also states that an induced current will only be formed if a magnetic object is passed through the nonconductive tube or coil, which then creates a magnetic field that is equal and opposite to the direction of the magnetic field as stated above. However if the magnetic object is increased in velocity then the magnetic field strength will also be increased, which can be seen to not only support Lenz s law but also faradays law of electromagnetism ... • 3. Code Switching Research Paper Code Meshing and Code Switching Code meshing is using colloquial terms, or if you want to call it slang in your grammar. We use it a lot in current times, while we text or talk to our friends and relatives. Code meshing can also be combining, proper words and slang terms and having conversations with other s. Code switching is a change of mind with your words, you aren t going to say the things you said to your friends to your mother. Code switching played a huge part in my life at an early age. Code switching has been used a lot over the years in job interviews. For example, some African Americans feel that they have to change the way they talk when they are around White people. It s just like speaking to a female that you really like, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Some have people who train them on not being politically correct. You don t want to always say what s on your mind because that will throw people off. Keeping it real doesn t always pay the bills in that industry. I use celeberties for a reason because that is how they are taught to be in that world. For Example, Rick Ross raps about drug dealing and guns but that is not who he is, he knows how to act when the music is done. In class I learned that it was such thing as African American language. I totally disagree with that, because in 2016 everyone speaks with a slang or terms. You can t give off a name to one race, when other people use that type of language. That is when code meshing comes in, you will notice how people speak differently. In Nigeria people use this term called Broken English . That is when you say the word half way but it Is not proper at all. Code meshing is used a lot where I am from in the inner city of Baltimore. I grew up in the city, where majority of my friends are from around the way. They taught me certain slangs and I felt like I was cool. Code switching comes in on this one, when kids want to fit in so they use slangs to feel hip. Like to some kids, they feel that it wouldn t be cool for them to speak proper in front of their ... Legends of early rulers in Inca society were some of the most common this clearly reflecting how important the rule of some of these leaders initially were. In fact it has been observed that these urban legends reflect many of the preoccupations of the Incas wars and alliances, imperial expansion and dynastic succession (Cavendish 347). Other early legends originated in the West in classical Greek and Roman society. It has been said that when interpreting legends, Greeks themselves valued them not only as entertaining stories, but on one level at least, as examples of the heights and depths at which human nature is capable of reaching (Cavendish 154). A good example of this would be the Odyssey of Odysseus. In his search for a homeland, Odysseus encountered many obstacles that ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

They often closed out their set with Sister Ray, jamming out for up to thirty minutes, sometimes more. The studio recording of it was a single take that lasts over seventeen minutes. 4. The Kingsmen Louie Louie This song was a Richard Berry single from 1955, which The Kingsmen covered in 1963 at Northwestern, Inc., Motion Pictures and Recording, located in Portland. Like many single take recordings, the track contains an audible error just after the first guitar break. Jack Ely starts singing the second verse too early and stopped himself short, creating a gap that drummer Lynn Easton smoothly filled with a clever drum fill. From birth, we are assigned a gender and are socialized to conform to certain gender roles. Even when the babies are still in the womb, we put gender expectations on them. For instance, boys like blue while girls like pink. Genderexpectation impact men and women in the areas of employment, dating, and marriage. Men and women are impacted by gender expectations when they look for a job. As children, we are told that we can be anything. Sadly, this is a lie. For example, men get ridiculed for wanting to be an elementary school teacher. People question why they want this. For many, the role of an elementary school teacher is better suited for a woman. They question if he has any bad intentions. Does he want to help students, or does he really have some other agenda? This is a tragedy because children often imitate behaviors they see. Maleelementary school teachers are positive role models for young boys. They help young boys to shape how they should behave. Not only do boys benefit from male teachers, but girls do as well. But I also believe that one Greek god does stand out. I think that the most significant Greek God that we have read about is Zeus. Zeus was known to be the as the King of all Gods in mythology. Since we covered most of the Greek gods and goddesses I read so much descriptions about Zeus that honestly point him out as to being the most significant. In the eyes of many people Zeus (Roman name is Jupiter) was portrayed as the king who basically oversaw the whole universe. He was the brother of Poseidon (who was the God of the sea) and Hades (who was the God of the underworld). Even though both Poseidon and Hades were powerful, Zeus was even more powerful. Like I have mentioned before Zeus was often referred to as the Father of God and Men . He literally was the father of the majority of Gods because of his sexual activities with many of the female goddesses. Zeus controlled the lighting and thunder. He usually used the lighting as a weapon. He was the king of the famous Mount Olympus. Mount Olympus was basically the home of many different Greek Gods that were mentioned over the course. Because he was so powerful and so significant he assigned the positions to many different gods. For example he gave Aphrodite the position as being the Goddess of love and gave Apollo the position of being the God of the sun. Aphrodite and Apollo ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

As a child grows up, the classroom setting starts to highlight the differences between both boys and girls. Most often, education is catered towards girls and the learning styles that girls flourish in (Vincent Ball, 2007). Girls outperform boys in almost every subject when they are elementary school age (Vincent Ball, 2007) because in the classroom, it is taught that the qualities with being a good student are most often synonymous with being a good girl, and here is where you can see a dichotomy begin to occur (Vincent Ball, 2007). For all these reasons, athletes can stand to benefit from wearing compression clothing while taking part in sports or exercising. Almost like she is trying to reason with it. But when Mother fails to listen she calls it a bitch, almost as though she is talking to a human. The ship is in control of everything that is going on. In lines 7 through 9, he states, Freshly shaved and powered faces of aunt and uncles surround taco and tamale table . Tacos and tamales are related to the Latino American culture. Baca also states in lines 26 and 27 I eat bean and chile burrito. In the Mexican American culture those foods were very popular around the 1980 s when Baca wrote this. In the beginning he compare s his Aunts as trees using a simile and comparing the children as rivers. Just as roots connect a tree to a part of land, he is saying that his aunts are also connected to the land. When the author compares the family to parts of the land, it shows that he may have been rejected or not included in the land grants. He emphasized, Tempers ignite on land grant issues which explains that anger explode because of the problems with land grants involving family. Describing his family as a part of land is a form of imagery. Baca is very descriptive throughout this poem, which makes his readers imagine, where the barbecue is taking place. Postmodern Concepts Influence on Museology Postmodern concepts have influenced curation and exhibitions, under the effect of museum classifications which determine the audiences perspectives on exhibitions. Postmodernism is highly influential and appealing because it is avant garde (challenging past traditions). People appreciate new concepts, especially those that challenge the concept of art. The process of curation not only considers the organisation of the exhibition but is highly influenced by conceptual frameworks, postmodernism being part of the world agency. With this in mind, when the audience views an object in a museum, they may recognise it as being historically important and other works not exhibited, especially by female artists, fail to reach recognition due to the exclusion of curators and art collectors prejudiced opinions. This ignorance of acknowledging female artists was very common among galleries in the 19th century, and even today. In 1985, the feminist activist group, Guerilla Girls, set out to highlight the injustice shown to female artists. In 1989, At the Metropolitan Museum of Art, they compared female nudes and artists with male nudes and artists and found that, in the Modern Art sections, there were less than 5% of female artists, but 85% nude females. In 2011, 22 years later, they conducted the same comparison and found that 4% of artists were women but 76% were nude. The National Gallery of London, which contains more than 2,300 works, revealed to have only 11 artists as women. Lewis Fantasy Literature Novel: The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe As we, University of Virginia students, took refuge in Bruce Holsinger s Masterworks of Fantasy Literature class back in August, Holsinger succinctly defined Fantasy Literature as, making reality more real, . Fantasy Literature is famous for its talking animals, magical powers, utopian/dystopian societies, and containing exceptionally imaginative plots. After reading and analyzing several foundational fantasy novels, without a doubt, allegory is omnipresent. Furthermore, this literary aspect can either hinder or liberalize reading. His thoughts at the end can be understood in such a way that they can resonate with the entire nation of Ireland instead of being left at the sadness of one man. These thoughts are motivated by Mr. D Arcy s singing that evening, and to some level, Gabriel is contemplating his own mortality. He is also analyzing the fate of Irish cultureby identifying that it must adapt in order to retain its relevance in a modernizing world despite the efforts of his aunts. Joyce describes everything in great detail giving his characters, no matter how small of a role they play, life and a story; this in turn gives the entire party an air of life and vibrancy. However, the party takes place in a beyond thoroughly described, old house. Joyce shows off this house with every detail of its ancient splendor seeming to push it even further into the past just to show that this way of life no longer fits into the modern Irish society. The detail in which the feast is portrayed highlights how important food and its traditionality is to Gabriel s aunts in their efforts to preserve the traditional Irish culture. Joyce uses subtle detailing to create Gabriel by intensely describing his appearance and observations. The protagonist, Macbeth, is a thane in Scotland who after a battle meets three witches who grant him three prophecies, one is of the title that he already held, another is of a position he would receive moments later, and the last most lofty one is that Macbethshall become king. The first two predictions create credibility for the third, and with this third prediction made it would seem that Macbeth has been stripped of any decision and is forced to assert himself as king through murder. The third prediction in particular creates the greatest evidence that Macbeth is acting on the witches prophecies because he must, but when the situation is further inspected it becomes clear that the evil acts he commits are of his own free will, and examples of this can be found in three murders he either commits himself or hires murderers for: the murder of the king, the murder of one of his friends, and the murder of a man s entire family. The first of the heinous crimes that Macbeth commits is by far the most monumental, and that is the murder of the king of Scotland, Duncan. From the witches first set of predictions that Macbeth, shalt be king hereafter, (Shakespeare I.3.71 72) it would seem that Macbeth s hands were tied and he had no choice but to kill his king, but in reality the witches don t say this anywhere in their first predictions. In order to understand how the studies of music and how it may or may not help the Alzheimer s disease (AD) one would need the background of it. AD is a progressive neurological disease that leads to deterioration in cognitive abilities. People with AD encounter a progressive decline in their neurological capabilities, which manifest in languagedeficits, among other cognitive difficulties. The main failures in speech include naming difficulties, verbal fluency deficit, comprehension problems, and deterioration of spontaneous speech. People with AD tend to have discourse deficits, which include empty phrases, indefinite words, and repetitions. The speech of a person with the deficits is difficult for an interlocutor to follow. Thus, theses progressive language failures can lead people with AD to isolation. Due to their progressive inability to communicate, people with AD need interventions that address their communication needs and help prevent social isolation (Dass, A., Amir, D. 2014). Increased social interaction can improve quality of life by enabling people with AD to remain socially engaged. Communication trainings include active instruction such as role playing and analyzing video observations of conversations with people with AD.
