Benefit Of Education Essay
Writing an essay on the topic of the benefits of education can be both challenging and
rewarding. On one hand, education is a broad and multifaceted subject that encompasses various
aspects such as its societal, economic, and personal impacts. This breadth offers a wealth of
material to explore and discuss, from the historical evolution of education systems to its modern-
day relevance in shaping individuals and societies.
However, this very breadth can also pose a challenge in terms of narrowing down the focus and
crafting a coherent and compelling argument. With such a vast topic, it's crucial to strike a
balance between depth and breadth, ensuring that the essay remains focused while also providing
sufficient context and analysis.
Moreover, discussing the benefits of education requires a nuanced approach that acknowledges
both its tangible outcomes, such as increased earning potential and job opportunities, as well as
its intangible benefits, such as personal growth, critical thinking skills, and societal advancement.
Balancing these different dimensions while maintaining a clear thesis statement can be
demanding.
Furthermore, the topic of education is one that elicits passionate opinions and diverse
perspectives, making it important to navigate potential biases and present a well-rounded
argument supported by evidence and research.
In conclusion, while writing an essay on the benefits of education can be challenging due to its
broad scope and the need for nuanced analysis, it also offers an opportunity to delve into a topic
of great significance and explore its multifaceted impacts.

The Army As A Staff Sergeant
is that I feel I have reached a rank that is the culmination of my operational career.
At this stage in the Army as a Staff Sergeant, I continually fulfill duty positions that
are above and beyond my pay grade in both garrison and deployed environments, yet
still remain competent on the tenets of my career field. This is best exemplified in
my recent deployment with 1st Special Forces Group in support of Operation
Inherent Resolve. As a Staff Sergeant, I served as the CJSOTF I Task Force
Counterintelligence Coordinating Authority, which is doctrinally a CW3 billet. I laid
the foundation for future SOCCENT Counterintelligence Operations in Iraq by
creating Annex B to the CJSOTF I Umbrella Concept, conducted liaison activities
with CENTCOM Counterintelligence units in order to establish proper
Counterintelligence Investigation and Intelligencereporting structure, advised
Coalition Partners on Identity Intelligence Operations, as well as providing
Counterintelligence Force Protection updates. In addition, I established the Tactical
Counterintelligence Operations Portal, which allows all Counterintelligence Agents
the ability to share Force Protection information across Iraq, regardless of task
organization. While many of these tasks are considered management or oversight in
nature, I still found time to conduct tactical Counterintelligence through
Counterintelligence Screenings of Local Nationals, Preliminary Credibility

Disadvantages Of Distilled Drinks
Spirits or distilled beverages are types of alcoholic drinks which are produced by
distillation of a mixture produced from alcoholic fermentation. Spirits are often called
hard liquor or simply liquor . The distillation process of spirits excludes the diluting
water component results in increasing the alcohol content in the drinks. Unlike, beer
and wine, distilled spirits contain no added sugar and their ABV content is ~20%.
Distilled spirits are the types of alcoholic beverages where the concentration of ethyl
alcohol has been increased over and above that of the original fermented mixture.
This is because yeast (the main component in fermentation) will not be able to
survive higher alcohol levels and in order to create stronger spirits,... Show more

It is a spirit produced by distilling wine, and is generally taken as an after dinner
drink, or to warm the body during cold temperatures. Some of its varieties are
allowed to age in wooden casks, or some are colored with caramel coloring to
replicate the effect of aging, while others are produced as an outcome of these two
processes. ABV ranges between 35% and 60%.
Cognac is a variety of brandy which is made from the most expensive fruit plucked
from Grande Champagne, Petite Champagne and Borderies, in France. The spirit is
allowed to age in oak barrels. ABV ranges between 40% and 45%.
Liqueurs are distilled alcoholic drinks which derives their flavor from fruits, cream,
herbs, spices, flowers or nuts, and bottled with added sugar or other sweetener
which may include high fructose corn syrup. Unlike brandy, liqueurs are not
allowed to age for longer periods, but are allowed to rest for the ingredients to blend
in. ABV ranges between 15% and 55%.
Whiskey is merely beer which has been distilled. It is a distilled alcoholic beverage
which is obtained from the fermented mash of grain, distilled at lower than 190
proof, and then allowed to age in oak containers. It ranges from Bourbon to rye to
Canadian to Irish to Scotch, and others. ABV is quite high, ranging from
Gps Limitations And Limitations Of Gps
. GPS Limitations Although already widely accepted and deployed, GPS has its
inherent drawbacks and limits which make GPS unsuitable in many scenarios.
Those limitations include: Economics: The price and energy cost of GPS
components is usually much higher than its alternatives. Though some GPS systems
are inexpensive, cheap solutions may have significantly reduced quality. And it is
usually very energy consuming. For instance, GPS on smart phones consumes
much large portion of energy than other integrated sensing and communicating
components. Even with the high cost, GPS on consumer devices cannot provide
desired performance. Accuracy: The accuracy of GPS is usually not enough when
small scale of space and fine grained location discrimination are considered,
especially on nonprofessional devices with poor quality. And due to its inherent
large scale, GPS is difficult to maintain and update, while in many scenarios, the
space of interest for localizing is highly dynamic. Speed and reliability: Mobile
phone GPS users usually experience slow updating of their locations. And since
GPS requires LOS paths to satellites and stable signal coverage, GPS is not practical
or available in many cases. Thus, techniques assisting GPS with LPS components
have received many attentions from both industry and academia in recent years. An
approach widely used on mobile phone navigations is cellular networking based
localization. The global deployment and general availability of cellular
Self Reliance Is Beneficial Or Beneficial
An issue regarding thinking has been on the importance of self reliance, the notion
of relying on oneself for ideas and knowledge. Some people argue that self reliance
is harmful. From this perspective, self reliance generates bad thoughts and ideas, and
people should conform to society instead. However, others argue that self reliance is
extremely important for society. Ralph Waldo Emerson, a main proponent of this
view, says that To believe your own thought, to believe that what is true for you in
your private heart is true for all men that is genius (1). According to this view,
relying on one s own ideas is genius, and it is much smarter to practice self reliance
rather than conform to society s ideas. In sum, then, the issue is whether self
reliance is beneficial or not beneficial. My view is that self reliance is beneficial.
Though I concede that at times it may be a good ideato agree with the majority, I still
maintain that one s own ideas are much better than those of the majority almost all
of the time. Although some people think that the majority opinion is usually correct,
I claim that the notion of self reliance is beneficial because individuals should rely
on their own knowledge gained from life experience to create new and better ideas,
which cause society to move forward and become better than it was before.
Self reliance is beneficial because individuals create ideas that are better compared to
those of the majority. Emerson explains the importance of

Social Influence Of Golf
Golf is a sport that can be played by anyone at any age, making it popular with both
young and old alike, and every age in between. According to Statista, as of 2014
there were about 26.88 million golfers in the USA alone. The World Golf Foundation
estimates that about $68.8 billion is pumped into the US economy via golfeach year.
In a CNN interview, World Golf Foundation chief executive Steve Mona, shared that
the golf industry is bigger than both spectator sports and performing arts together.
Golf is one of the most popular sports around, and is a money making powerhouse.

Religion In Appalachia Summary
Along with a territory, comes its traditions and ways of living. One key aspect of the
Appalachian life is religion. Religion plays a major role in Appalachia as well as the
creation of Berea college. Focusing on the Christian traditions found in central and
southern Appalachia, numerous scholars examine the theology and religious
doctrines of the various mountain, Evangelical, Pentecostal and mainline
denominational churches throughout the region. In the last several decades, the
research of Appalachian scholars such as Ronald L. Lewis, Dwight B. Billings,
Wilma Dunaway, and others contributed to the deconstruction of numerous economic
and social myths. Until the 1970s, most of the literary and academic works on

Weller, a United Presbyterian minister who had served as a home missionary in the
coalfields of West Virginiasince the early 1950s, published a small book, Yesterday
s People: Life in Contemporary Appalachia (1965). From its first day to the
present, the book, Yesterday s People: Life in Contemporary Appalachia, has
served as the defining statement of Appalachia in the collective American
consciousness, and in particular of religious life distinctive to the mountain
regions of Appalachia. During this time in 1965, the Appalachian Region
Commission (ARC) was formed by the government for the redevelopment of the
region. The first step was to map out the region, but the map quickly expanded
from the commonly and historically understood area (McCauley). Today Berea
college finds itself keeping its religious beliefs at the forefront, but they do not
force its religious aspect upon the students. For example, Berea college does not
require chapel like most Christian colleges do. Instead Berea College has focused
and devoted itself to love and inclusiveness. The world today has so many labels
and different stipulations as to what you can and cannot do based upon the religion,
sex, or race you identify with. Berea college strives to be as inclusive as possible,
allowing all people to have to opportunity to participate in various activities. Many of
Berea s views stem from Christianity,

Conflicts have been around since the beginning of time. It was shown in biblical
times and even in today s society conflict is something that humans need to learn to
resolve in the best way possible. Sophie Scholl underwent peer pressure yet
maintained who she was throughout facing conflict. Anne Frank, another excellent
example, kept a positive attitude despite facing discrimination and prejudice every
day. The best way to respond to a conflict has been an important topic of debate for
a long time. Truly, for the purpose of everyone s health, the best way to respond to
conflict is to persevere and to maintain individual values.

Skeletal Muscle Movement
Without the skeletal muscle in our body, we would be stick people; we would have
no movement. Almost all of the movement in our body is a result of muscle
contraction. Did you know that the skeletal muscle makes up 40% of someone s body
weight, and it forms more than 600 muscles. The muscles allow us to frown, laugh,
smile and express many other emotions. But, the most important functions of the
muscular system are movement, posture, joint stability and heat production. There
are also three major different types of musclein the body: skeletal, smooth, and
cardiac. They all play an important role in maintaining homeostasis.
Skeletal muscle is what is attached to our skeleton, by tendons. It s the most
common out of the three types of muscle in the body. It is considered a voluntary
muscle because we have direct control of moving them because of nervous impulses
sent from our brain. There are different types of fibers within skeletal muscle, and
not all of them contract the same. It varies depending on the type of activity and
they vary in color depending on the Myoglobin content. The skeletal muscle has a
very distinctive appearance. It s long and thin, with fine red and white lines. The
fibers are bound together by ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
They also form the supporting tissue for blood vessels. It is known as smooth muscle
because it doesn t have the microscopic lines, or striations, like the other two types of
muscle. It consists of narrow spindle shaped cells, and is smooth; hence its name. It is
mainly used to help things move. For example, smooth muscle in the uterus helps a
woman push the baby out. Also, smooth muscle helps food move through the
digestive tract. It is known as involuntary muscle, due to our inability to control its
movement. Such as the heart, it s an involuntary muscle. We can t control the
functioning of our organs, either. Smooth muscle plays a very important
Comparison Between Female And Female Literature

Britain Suppression of thought and action has always been a method to govern over
one people over another. When we think of suppression we typically think of slavery;
the physical governance of one group over another. However, throughout history,
other forms of suppression have dominated cultures, such as that of inequality. An
example of this in today s world would be the job market for women. Though it has
been undoubtedly improved through the years, a man with equal credentials to that
of a womantend to obtain jobs much more easily. This is a form of suppression
through inequality by men upon women. If a woman cannot obtain a high paying job
equal or better to that of a man, then they may indeed need to be dependent on a man
for financial means. Britain women during the beginning years of the Enlightenment
period, experienced suppression of their education. Literature of the 17th and 18th
centuries in Britain was characterized by raillery of both men towards women and
(most often) women towards men fighting the educational suppression and inequality
in the midst of the birth of modern feminism. Feminism, like all other major
movements (such as the civil rights movement of the 1960s) had its birth somewhere.
The true birth of feminism began with women authors such as Mary Astell, Margaret
Cavendish, Aphra Behn, and Mary Leapor (Sherman 2125). For one to understand
why this movement began, one
Greek Culture Influence On Western Civilization
In my opinion, the development of Western civilization is influenced by Greek
culture because of Western knowledge, political systems, and procedures such as
democracy and lawful equality originated there. The main reason is Greece is
introduced as home of many firsts in the humanities, especially in Western
civilization. Indeed, knowledge foundation of mathematics, medicine, astrology, or
linguistics is nearly taken from the ancient Greece. For example, the Greek alphabet
was the first alphabet in the Western sense of the word. The Greek alphabet include

the two letters, including letters such as A, B, E, and O. In addition, Greeceis home of

Compare And Contrast Bbkar And Babasaheb Ambedkar
When we talked about the famous Indian leader, Mahatma Gandhi will be the first
person that comes to most people mind. However, there are other many leaders
that also played the important roles in reforming India. One of them is Babasaheb
Ambedkar. If I have to compare both of them with the warlord, I would say that
Gandhi is like the warlord who fight peacefully for the country liberation, while
Babasaheb Ambedkar is like the warlord who fight for equality and justice in the
country. To be honest, it is very shameful that I have never known Ambedkar
before. Since after I have read his biography and what he had done, he suddenly
became one of my idols. Bhimrao or Babasaheb Ambedkar was born on April 14,
1891 at Mhow in central India. Different from Ghandi who belonged to the merchant
caste, Bhimrao was born in a religious Mahar family... Show more content on

Ambedkar saw untouchability as the additional product of caste system, and
believed that there could not be any uplift or relief from untouchability if there were
not the abolition of caste. Moreover, Ambedkar believed that the caste system was
actually a division of labourers which simply meant that the caste system is the basis
of assigning occupations. This caused a stagnant economy in communities because
the system did not allow people to have other professional skills and entered other
professions outside the caste group. He said that fixity of occupations hindered the
growth and development of the Indian economy and the society. In his thought,
people should do the work that is best suited to them to gain the most efficient or
else this would lead to immobility of both labour and capital. It could be said that
Ambedkar was a challenge to Hinduism. By contrast, Gandhi was a devoted Hindu.
He thought that the responsibility of eliminating untouchability should depend on the
upper caste. Gandhi goal was not to annihilate the

those occasions in which he did come face to face with one or the other, he did his
best to be kind to them. While Billy was being as absolutely courteous as possible,
that did not help the flaming hatred that was burning in their hearts. As a matter of
speaking, Billy was actually feeding the rage and fury that had been smoldering
there even before they knew Billy even existed. When Claggart was accusing Billy in

surmount his stuttering so as to prove a point. The last thing that Billy needed to
do was even lay a finger on the open mouthed Claggart, because that would just
prove his point. The last reason that Billy should have not struck Claggart is
because Caption Veere was a fair man. He knew what kind of man Billy was, and
he had an understanding of what Claggart his master at arms was. One was a loving,
responsible, caring young man, and the other was a hating, dark, shadowy man that
was not to be trusted with any mans word. When Billy struck out at Claggart, he was
punishing Claggart, and striking an imperial officer. Billy then would have to be

Lab Chemistry Lab Experiment
Throughout this lab, many different experiments were tested on the unknown white
compound. The first test ran was the Solubility Test, which was started by measuring
0.03g of the unknown substance. Next, measure out 60ml of distilled H2O and mix
with 0.03g of unknown. Use a stirring rod to the substances were mixed together,
and observations were made to see if the unknown dissolves. The use of a ionic
solubilitychart was helpful when running this test.
The next test that was conducted in this lab was the Anion/Cation Test. Within the
Cation/Anion test the first experiment was done with the Ammonia Trial. Within this
trial,1ml of 6M NaOH was needed along with 0.03g of the unknown compound,
and 1ml of distilled H2O. The Ammonia Trial will have a chemical compound of
NH4(X) + NaOH = NH3 + Na(X) + H2O, where X is the unknown anion. The first
step of this trial was to mix the measured unknown with the H2O. Once the
compound has dissolved, add the NaOH to the solution. By wafting over the
solution determining if an ammonia smell is present, if so the unknown compound
will contain ammonium. The trial was repeated three times and observations were
recorded. The next Cation/Anion experiment that was conducted was the Halide
Trial. This trial was conducted by taking 0.03g of unknown compound and creating
a solution with 1ml of distilled H2O. Then, 1ml of 6M HNO3, and 1ml of 0.1M
AgNO3 was added to the solution, and observations were made towards if a white
precipitate was formed.

Although the construct, disposition, in teacher education may be redundant now, it is
not entirely inadequate as it may provide a pilot hypothesis for further investigations
(Murray, 2007; Windschitl, 2003). The implications from the previous studies provide
the groundwork for exploring teacher dispositions. In order to effectively investigate
this, a definition for dispositions by our governing bodies must be identified. NCATE
now defines Professional Dispositions as: Professional attitudes, values, and beliefs
demonstrated through both verbal and non verbal behaviors as educators interact
with students, families, colleagues, and communities. These positive behaviors
support student learning and development (2007). Institutions take their own stab at
defining dispositions in many ways. The National Association for the Education of

Modern Feminist Theory And Modern Feminist Theory
During the 18th century, Enlightenment ideas developed a political philosophy
grounded in the idea of the individual subject. Enlightenment notions of freedom and
choice inspired women to examine their position from a theoretical perspective for
the first time. Over time, women continued to theorize about their unique position,
created as a product of their gender, and used that theory to develop feminist
politics. The purpose of feminist theory is to understand the identity of women as
an oppressed group and examine the ways in which this identity is maintained and
can be changed. It includes a re examination of established norms in society and the
multiple forms of oppression that women face. The ultimate effect of creating such a
theory is a mode of politics that improves the status of women. In this paper, I will
specifically focus on modern feminist theory and politics rooted in the 1960s wave of
feminism. Through Simone de Beauvoirs The Second Sex, I will explicate the
foundational ideas of modern feminist theory. Then I will use The Combahee River
Collective in order to show that modern feminist theory must be intersectional in
order to serve its purpose. Finally, using Angela Davis Freedom is a Constant
Struggle, I will show some of the ways that a complete feminist theory can be used to
create feminist politics, politics that involves the abolition of prisons in America and
examining global systems of oppression.
In order to provide the foundation for feminist

Proposition 65 Business Analysis
More than 150 California towns and counties have bag ban ordinances, a number
that has grown in 2016. Proposition 65 should be passed because the profit made
from the paper bag fee will go towards environmental projects, environmental
projects are important because it affects everyone and has to be solved at one point
and why wait until it gets serious to the point that our taxes might increase. It is
specifically on how it wants the paper bagfee to be spent on environmental projects
instead of it being pocket money for the retail/grocery store. If voters vote no on the
proposition, then they are agreeing to give grocery and retail stores $300 million in
profits. The following is a simple description on the process of prop 65 Requires

The Killing Sea Quotes Analysis
In the book The Killing Sea by Richard Lewis, Sarah and Ruslan have very
different point of views on the word respect and its meaning. In Chapter one, page
5, Sarah is complaining about what she needed to dress like to respect their
culture, The mother whispered to the girl, Put on your scarf This stupid dress is
enough. I m drowning in sweat. First, this quote shows that Sarah doesn t want to
dress like the people from their land because she is not from there. While Ruslan is
more respectful, Ruslan hesitated. Bapa, last week I borrowed your motor scooter
without asking. I m sorry. (The Killing Sea, page 10) Second, this quote shows how
Ruslan told his dad what he did because he felt guilt for doing something that he

Symbols In The Glass Castle
The Glass Castle is a memoir by Jeanette Walls in which she tells the story of her
childhood and the way she became who she is. Her path to her balanced present
was too difficult and full of hardships, yet she managed to become a successful and
prosperous person whose life experience gives her a push to make her life happy. It
stands to mention that the novel is full of symbols which contribute to reader s
understanding of Jeanette s character and represent her most important traits and
desires. Besides, all the symbols such as the fire, the Joshua tree, the geode and the
glass castle are recurring and contribute to understanding the struggle of Jeanette s
childhood, her ability to overcome it and build a successful life. Fire is an important

Despite the fact that she almost dies in a fire cooking hot dogs, she does not fear it
and even admires it instead. Jeanette likes to play with matches and candles, and in
the episode in the hotel bathroom, she flushes burning matches into the toilet. It
clearly shows how she tries to gain control over it as one can t live in fear of
something as basic as fire . Jeanette chooses to keep it under control thus trying to
control her own life. However, she understands that fire is stronger than she is as
she waits for something to go wrong: . . . what I did know was that I lived in a
world that at any moment could erupt into fire . As a matter of interest, Jeanette s
father becomes the cause of a fire, directly or implicitly, for instance, when burning
the Christmas tree down or when Jeanette uses his matches to start a fire in the shack
where she and Brian conduct an experiment with flammable materials or in the hotel
bathroom. One of the main reasons of Jeanette s unstable life is her
Why in America

Article: Why in America Nathan Rosenberg
The article Why in America by Nathan Rosenberg, we learn how manufacturing was
important impact on America during the nineteenth century. America was primarily
borrowed the European technology and the rate of technical change increased. There
were three major reasons why american manufacturing has increased rapidly. The
three reasons of rapid increase of American industries were the increase of population
growth, larger amount of natural resources, and specialized machines.
The population growth in the United States, has been booming because of the
growing population of immigration and new borns coming to the world. Immigrants

Resources abundance provided an encouragement to explore the possibilities of new
technological. This would result in members of the society to purchase other goods
and services provided by the American system of manufactures. The downside to the
large amount of natural resources was that the machines used were very wasteful
(Rosenberg, 109). They also realized that there was a lot of available farmland which
they can build the use of manufacturing innovations. For example, steel plough which
is a cultivator which replaced the hand handling in the fields.
The last reason of American manufacturing was the produced by specialized
machines. America was producing many goods in the ninetieth century which result in
the introduction to new technology. The specialized machinery required to save
labour power which was good for the american economic. American was known as
the ones that still borrow from the Europeans and would take their technologies for
their purposes. The woodworking machines is something the Americans have taken
from the europeans which they liked because it required less labour (Rosenberg,
105). The downside of this technological was that it would waste their natural
resources like wood. Most of the specialized machinery allowed workers to fix these
machines themselves which was easier for every individual. America also became a
powerhouse for metalwork (Rosenberg, 109). The specialized machinery

Here is the finding which we noticed during this whole scenario.
BELOW GIVEN ARE THE STEP BY STEP ISSUES WHICH THE NOVICE USER
FACED WHILE FOLLOWING THE INSTRUCTIONAL GUIDE AS PER OUR
OBSERVATION.
1. пѓЁ as per the instructional guide, the statement says GO TO GOOGLE DOCS
START A SPREAD SHEEET thou, the information about Google docs is available
but, no information is available about the procedures of how to create a Google docs

As per our observation, the novice user faced the difficulty in opening creating the
Google docs account, without the information of the how to create a Google docs
account, the novice user won t be able to start working over spread sheet.
Plus, no information is provided regarding how to even start a spread sheet also.
In short a lack of information is provided about creating an account and sign in to

Desecration Of The United States Flag
It should be considered safer to allow a few protestors to burn or disrespect the flag,
than to allow the government to repress our birth rights by banning desecration of the
flag. Deemed offensive by many citizens, and a form of symbolic speech by others,
the constitutionality of flag desecration has been in question since the late 1800s.
Desecration of the United Statesflag is constitutional, as a form of symbolic speech
and protected under the First Amendment, even though many citizens do find it
offensive. The flag has been a symbol for the United States for decades. On June
14, 1777 the first flag was officially commissioned by the Continental Congress
(U.S. Flag, 2005, para. 3). The flag is a trademark for the freedoms embraced by
the citizens of the United States, and is a beacon of hope for those fighting to keep
those freedoms. The flag is greatly respected by the citizens of the United States.
There are multitudinous people who use the flag as a form of protest in ways such
as ripping it, burning it, or trampling on it. These acts are forms of desecration of the
flag. Desecration is the use of something considered sacred in a profane way. Every
American is entitled to an opinion and has the freedom the express these opinions.
The flag is a symbol of freedoms, stated and protected in the Constitution of the
United States. The Constitution is the backbone of our country. First written in 1787,
and since then, the Constitution has been amended twenty seven times

After reading this portion of my novel, I predict that Annabeth is still alive after
being thrown off of the cliff into the chasm. There are several supporting facts
within the story that hint or foreshadow that she did not die in the tragic incident.
The first reason why I believe she is still alive is because Percy had a nightmare
about her when he got back to the camp. In the past novels, whenever Percy had a
nightmare, it was usually a vision of future events that were set to happen. One can
infer that because Percy dreamed about his fellow accomplice, Annabeth, that she
must be alive. This shows connections within the stories, and how the author used
these visions as a chance for the reader to foreshadow something that would occur
later in the story. Additionally, in the story, several things that Chiron said might
have hinted at the fact that Annabeth could still be alive. Chiron had practically
raised her all the years she had been a year round camper, and knew how capable she
was of survival. He said, She s very bright. If... if
A Interview With An Interview Essay
*For the purpose of this assignment and to keep the privacy of participates, the
interviewee will be addressed as such, or as Person A. The purpose of the
assignment was to interview another person and record it, then later analyze how
well you used interview techniques. The interview was to last fifteen minutes and
discuss why your interviewee had decided to choose a career in the health field.
General Aspects of an Interview Overall, the interview was accomplished with few
complications. There was definitely areas of the interview that need attending to,
and there were areas in which I excelled. The dyadic interview started with an
opening statement. I attempted to make Person A feel comfortable by asking a
simple question of How are you today? I believe I made Person A feel as
comfortable as possible in front of a camera and build a rapport. I could have
asked one or two more easy questions to lighten the mood. I was nervous being in
front of a camera especially for an assignment worth a large portion of my grade.
When I m nervous I sometimes bite my lip and unfortunately throughout the
interview I chewed my lip. This could have made Person A feel awkward if she
took it in uncomfortable way. The listening aspect of the interview I believe I did
very well in. I gave attention to what Person A was saying and tried to ask questions
that allowed her to elaborate, although there were a few instances that I missed the
opportunity. I also tried to write some notes down
Syndactyly Essay
Type II syndactyly or synpolydactyly(SPD) is a semi dominant inherited limb
malformation that involves a fusion of digits. It is caused by mutations in
HOXD13 on chromosome 2 due to polyalanine repeat expansions. Polyalanine
repeats in SPD are mitotically and meiotically stable, causing polymorphisms to be
rare, unlike other nucleotide repeat expansions such as Friedreich s ataxia.
HOXD13 is a member of the HOX family, a family of transcription factors that are
proteins which contain homeodomain that are important for controlling cell fate
along the limb axes and body. HOXD13 is a part of the HOXD genecluster and
crucial for limb development, particularly during the early and late stages of limb
development. The stage occurs during the creation of the limb buds at week 4, during
this stage the limbs have AP polarity through the expression of sonic hedgehog(shh)
signaling from the zone of polarizing... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The second stage occurs during the outward growth of the distal limb regions which
depends greatly on sonic hedgehog expression at week 6 day 52 is when hand is
fully formed. In both stages HOXD genes are critical since they are involved in
initiation of shh expression during the earlier stage and mediation of shh signaling
from within the limbs during the second stage. The resulting phenotype of HOXD13
mutants display limb malformations. There is much fewer missense and nonsense
mutations in HOXD13 and the most common mutation is the addition of 7 14 in the
N terminal polyalanine repeats of the HOXD13 gene. When the gene is abnormal
from the polyalanine repeat mutation, it produces an abnormal protein which
destabilizes the normal protein confirmation, causing aggregation. Once this occurs,
it halts the protein translocation which occurs from the cytoplasm to the nucleus
where it acts as a transcription factor. Additionally, the size of the polyalanine repeats
directly correlates with the severity of
Betrayal In The Lion, The Witch, And The Wardrobe
In the novel, The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe, betrayal takes place in
many situations and it is almost always followed by forgiveness. Some of the
motives behind the betrayal in the novel include fear, spite, temptation, pride,
selfishness, and doing what is right. In C.S. Lewis s The Lion, The Witch, and The
Wardrobe, Lewis includes the recurring theme of betrayal and forgiveness. The first
examples of betrayal are by Mr.Tumnus. After he first plans to betray Lucy, he then
changes his mind and betrays the White Witch instead. When Lucy first enters
Narnia through the wardrobe, she runs into a Faun who introduces himself as
Mr.Tumnus. Upon finding out Lucy is a human, he befriends her and invites her to
his home where he secretly plans to betray her and take her to the White Witch, who
ordered all creatures of Narnia to report any sightings of humans. He later confesses
to Lucy his intentions when first meeting her, but says that he changed his mind

Clinical Question:
What is the best core buildup material for a posterior tooth with significant decay that
extends subgingivally.
Clinical Relevance:
Patient presents with significant decay on a previously crowned tooth number 30 that
has decay extending subgingival.
Summary/Key results/Applicability:
The study compared four different core buildup material based on multiple
categories: a dual cure resin core ( Paracore), dual cure composite( Luxacore),
silorane based composite(P 90 FiltekTm), and amalgam core as the control group(1).
15 samples of each material were taken and placed in a universal testing machine to
determine their compressive strength, diametral tensile strength and flexural strength
levels. The results showed no statistically significant difference between the four
material in terms of compressive strength(1). The main trait that is necessary for

The study showed significant differences in compressive strengths of the materials.
Fluorocore had the highest and vitremer had the lowest compressive strengths
(2).There was also significant differences in flexural strength with fluorocore being

amalgam is evident in both studies(1,2). The study concludes that dual cure core
resins are great replacements for amalgam in posterior teeth due to their high

The Law when Two Companies Merge
1A.
During the Merger of AB and YZ into MN, an issue relating to licence keys will
arise because of the Copy Right Act of 1988. This is as the software that was
previously licenced to both companies has now become invalidated due to the fact it
was licenced to each individual and respective company, but not MN as a whole.
Therefore any software used in the development and hosting of the database and
website, will now have to be renewed.
For the merging of the systems and newly built website, the Supply of Goods and
Services Act 1982 would expect a reasonable level of quality that someone, who is
in the business would be expect from web design and database systems university
graduate. The Supply of Goods and Services Act also stipulate that we should agree
to a cost that is reasonable for part time university students. This could be around 3
4k for the website and around 2k for the database integration. A time scale of around
three months should also be set; this will be to allow the student to carry on with
their study while working for MN.
We should also be aware that a website made by students may not have the most
secure systems employed, and a data breach could be possible. If a data breach does
happen then the impending ICO enquiry for breaking the Data Protection Act 1998,
will land squarely on our shoulders. This is as the courts will not accept our decision
to allow students to become MN s data controller.
Systems should also be in place to automatically delete

Imperialism and South Africa
Imperialism s Effect on South Africa Imperialism was a movement that affected all
parts of the world, beginning as early as the 19th century. Wealthy and established
nations would annex and take control of underdeveloped nations and civilize them.
This may sound good in theory, but Imperialism seemed to take advantage of the so
called inferior nations more than truly help them. The economic superpowers seized
the land of the territories they thought to be subordinate, using it as trading depots, an
outlet to gain natural resources, and to civilize the native people. These three factors
continued to be a main staple in society of South Africaeven after imperialism ended
and it was an independent nation. Racial segregation was... Show more content on

He claimed that the land belonged to the French, as they were a superior race of
people (Ferry 2). He exclaimed, Gentlemen, we must speak more loudly and more
honestly! We must say openly that indeed the higher races have a right over the
lower races (Ferry 1). Ferry again went on to explain that it was the duty of the
superior people to cultivate the lives of the natives. Paton and Great Britain also
shared the same views on civilization as the French, but with more of a religious
point of view. Missionaries were sent to spread Christianity, as Paton explains, The
islands of this group on which life and property are now comparatively safe, the
8,000 professed Christians on the group, and all the churches formed from among
them are, by God s blessing, the fruits of the labors of British missionaries, who, at
great toil, expense, and loss of life have translated, got printed, and taught the natives
to read the Bible in part or in whole in nine different languages of this group (Paton
2). It seemed that all of the so called superior countries agreed upon the fact that they
saw the native people as subordinate beings. Together, these three factors of
Imperialism shaped the future of South Africa in the second half of the 20th century.
Although South Africa was fundamentally independent during this time period, there
were irreversible changes made in the mentality of the South African citizens. For
instance, the

Abstract
Education in India has a very long history. As knowledge is a very important source
of India s competitiveness. But India s ability to tap and nurture the competitiveness
would depend on how well education is institutionalized. Education has become India
s super infrastructure . When the whole world was deep asleep in darkness of
ignorance Indians were busy discovering new things. Even today India has largest

And this is precisely the reason why amongst various other fields of knowledge,
desire for acquiring management qualifications is growing, both amongst the fresh
graduates and working executives. During the past two decades, India has made
enormous strides in its economic and social development. But the greatest challenge
to India is, to convert its large human resource base to knowledge workers, equipped
with multiple skills that can harness and take advantage of this booming knowledge
economy.
Higher Education in India is one of the most developed in the entire world. There has
in fact been considerable improvement in the higher education scenario of India in
both quantitative and qualitative terms. In technical education, the IITs, and in
management, the IIMs have already marked their names among the top higher
educational institutes of the world. Moreover the Jawaharlal University and Delhi
University are also regarded as good higher educational institutes for doing
postgraduates courses and research in science, humanities and social sciences. As a
result, students from various parts of the world are coming today for higher
education in India.
After liberalization many multi national companies entered in India due to which the

The Debt Of Student Loan Debt
Here in the United States, there are many forms of consumer debt, which help
contribute to the large sums of debt countless Americans find themselves faced with.
Directly effecting many college students is student loan debt. Student loan debt is
now the second largest form of consumer debt behind housing declares the Federal
Reserve Bank of New York (Grisales). This is due to the fact that student loan debt
grew 7.1% in 2014 to $1.2 trillion (Grisales). If this statistic alone is not worrisome
this next one is sure to be. The amount of debt in the housing market that helped to
spark the last recession was only $1.3 trillion (Grisales). Due to the increased
amount of debt required by students to attend college many students are feeling the
wrath. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, In 2014, 11.7 percent of females and
17.7 percent of males between the ages 25 and 34 were living with their parents
(Grisales). The fear of obtaining massive amounts of debt is driving the current
generation of student s to put off many future hopes and dreams. While causing
them to move back home to save money. The current student loan crisis is crippling
the economy and ruining the lives of American students. Economic impact from
rising student loan debt is being felt throughout the United States. According to
research performed by the Pew Research Center and Rutgers, between 25 40% of 20
and 30 year olds are delaying large purchases such as homes and cars (Daniels). The
delay of such

I am the newly hired Vice President of Organizational Development. My
responsibilities include creating the Organizational Development Department. I look
forward to working with all of you especially with finding a new and improved
product based on our already developed retinal scanning system iScanner. First of all I
am going to discuss assumptions made by Kelly Thomas, Pat Lambert, Cliff O
Connor and Chris Martinas. After each employee assumptions will be their arguments
and my evaluation of whether the argument is sound or unsound and why.
Kelly Thomas В– Senior Engineer, Product Development
1. Assumed that Pat, Director of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
2. Assumed programmers had plenty of time to work on new product even though he
knew staff was cut last year.
3. Assumed because they were not agreeing with him they were not committed to the
new product.
4. Assumed that the job could be done by outside contractors in the specified time
frame. Also with money being a problem.
5.Assumed a meeting would resolve all problems.
6.Assumed the customer would be happy with whatever product was developed and
launched.
7.Assumed Kelly was being a smart ass because he questioned his knowledge about
QC.
Pat argued that the scanner needed to be launched in retail, not banks or other easy
markets. He also argued with Chris, Kelly s manager, that Kelly informed him that
it would not be a problem to expand the iScanner. Another argument he made is he
had bigger problems than to listen to than answering other questions presented by
other staff members. Pats decision to launch a new product in a new market was
sound. To be the first company on the market with a new product to get ahead of
your competitors is a good market strategy. His idea to use an outside contractor was
unsound because we are already in a budget deficit and there is now guarantee that
the contractor would have the product completed in time. His statement about having
bigger problems than to answer questions from other staff members was an emotional
one. I think he felt nobody wanted to work with
The Literary Work of Harriet Beecher Stowe
...the heart has no tears to give, it drops only blood, bleeding itself away in silence.
( Stowe 30). Harriet Beecher Stowe (1811 1896) was the most popular American
writer of the 19th century. Her use of literary realism merges with the writings of
Howells, Twain, and Crane (Reuben). Harriet Beecher Stowe s writings were
influenced by her religious and moral beliefs. She left a long lasting impact on the
American Renaissance time period due to her puritan style of writing. Stowe was
born in Litchfield, Connecticut in 1811. Her mother, Roxana Foote Beecher, was
a well educated and artistic granddaughter of a Revolutionary War general, and
Lyman Beecher, a Presbyterian minister with a strong interest in Puritan theology.
Stowe grew up in a household in which religion, reading and writing were
considered a major part of childhood. After the Stowes moved to Brunswick, in
1850, Harriet considered writing about slavery. The passage of the Fugitive Slave
Law of 1850, that made all citizens responsible for upholding the idea of slavery,
turned her into an activist. Stowe was established as a major American writer in the
late 1850 s. Once Stowe moved, she began writing regularly for The Atlantic
Monthly. In her writing she turned mainly to domestic themes and stories, often
reflecting on childhood memories and experiences. (Belasco) Uncle Tom s Cabin is
one of the most damaging and influential novels in American history (whener). The
Civil War rose from a combination of problems
Ethos In The Film How To Change The World
How to Change the World
Growing up, we have all probably heard the chilchГ© motivational speech that
everyone can achieve their dreams and make a monumental difference in the world,
no matter how insignificant we may think we are in the grand scheme of things. The
documentary How to Change the World, directed by Jerry Rothwell, attests to the
legitimacy of this statement that we may not have believed as children. By using
imagery and audio to establish pathos, the stories of real life people to establish
ethos, and steps that are actually proven to work to establish logos, Rothwell tries to
convince the viewers that no matter how small you start out, if you have something
you believe in and are willing to work for then you can change the world. ... Show

The documentary starts out with Rule 1, which is to plant a mind bomb . The
word mind bomb was a word made up by Robert Hunter that referred to how you
can use electronic media as a tool for change. If you release an impactful image it
can get into people s heads and change the way they think about a certain issue.
While explaining this step to you, the documentary also shows you just how
Greenpeace went about doing this, and how it worked for them. The example they
give you for rule 1 is when Greenpeace risked their lives in order to capture the
footage of a harpoon from a Russian whaling ship hit a whale directly in front of
Greenpeace s boat. The video then continued to show the whaling ship drag the
whale back in while the whale was still alive and thrashing around. It then showed
you authentic newspaper articles and clips from news broadcasts of the time that
were all buzzing about the video Greenpeace captured. This mind bomb clearly
worked for them as donations and support came flooding in afterwards. Rothwell then
continues on to bestow upon the audience four additional rules/steps to take in order
to change the world, and how these steps were
Crawler Vs Blue Eagle Research Paper
The 2004 LEGO 4745 Alpha Team Blue Eagle vs. Snow Crawler set pits the forces
of good against the forces of evil. The LEGO Alpha Team Deep Freeze theme is
based on a superhero storyline. The LEGO Alpha Team is a group of secret agents,
bent on protecting the earth from the evil Ogel, who wants to freeze the world.
Ogel uses Ice Orbs and Skeleton Drones to search for the Alpha Team. In this set,
Dash Justice, the brave yet boastful LEGO hero of the Blue Team community,
pilots the Blue Eagle Jet. He is also the motion expert on the team. An evil Skeleton
Drone is in command of the Snow Crawler, and his ice orbs can freeze everything,
including time. Who will win this epic battle? Designed for ages 7 and up, this 255
piece LEGO set allows your little creator to build the Snow Crawler land vehicle and
the Blue Eagle jet. The cockpit of the LEGO jet opens, and Dash fits within easily.
Both LEGO vehicles include a fair degree of functionality, such as the Blue Eagle s
claw and the ice orb launcher on the Snow Crawler. In addition, the wings of the
LEGO Snow Crawler move, giving it a bug like appearance. A small lever on the side
of the Snow Crawler will send an ice orb wherever Ogel wants something frozen. The
claw of the Blue Eagle will move on a lever, and can pull apart the Snow Crawler in
mid air.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Donnie Darko vs. Oedipus Rex Essay
Greek tragedies were often seen as the foundation to literature not only for the
Greeks but also on a universal scale as well. Sophocles Oedipus Rex was one of the
more infamous tales because of its provocative and unorthodox nature. The tragedy
features a man on a quest to prevent the events of his prophesized life from coming to
fruition. The key components of fate, destiny and timecan be paralleled to the cult
classic film Donnie Darko. In the movie, Donnie suffers from predictions of the
future in his own variation of time travel, as a repercussion he has been chosen to
rectify the past in order to preserve what is to come.

Donnie has to suffer the knowledge that his death would be the only way to
prevent the cataclysmic incidents like that of Ashton Kutcher s character Evan
Treborn in The Butterfly Effect. He too understood his role in life was apocalyptic
as soon as he was conceived. When Donnie ran into Grandma Death she whispered
to him that All things die alone, ( Donnie Darko ) it can be seen just how tragic
and miserable his life was going to be. After assessing the whole film, it can be
realized that she was right because Donnie inevitably died by himself without ever
having met Gretchen and without resolving his fight with his mother. Another
event can be one of the first encounters with Frank in which ended with 28 days, 6
hours, 42 minutes, 12 seconds ( Donnie Darko ) being etched into his arm. He had
his very own expiration date and end of the world timeframe given to him. The very
thought of knowing one s own time of death is absolutely frightening and panic
inducing. One of the deleted scenes off of the DVD provided more insight into
Donnie s mind and his acceptance of death: A storm is coming, Frank says.
A storm that will swallow the children, and I will deliver them from the kingdom of
pain.
I will deliver the children back to their doorsteps;
I ll send the monsters back to the underground.
I ll send them back to a place where no one else can see them, except for me because

Essay on Contrast Between Catholic and Baptist Religion
Ask most people today if they have heard of Baptist and Catholic religion and most
would say yes. In many ways the two are very similar. For instance, both are based
on the Christian faith, belief in the trinity, and that God is the one true God. The
two religions agree that Jesus died on the cross and rose again to atone for our sins.
They share a 27 book New Testament and insist that salvation comes from Christ
alone. On the other hand, while the Baptist and Catholic religions do have
similarities, they also have differences, such as their services, communion, and views
regarding salvation. The first difference between the two religions is their services.
Roman Catholic services are held in sanctuaries that are richly decorated... Show

Baptists offer prayer to God through Christ during the service and reject the
practice of praying to Mary and the saints. The services are not nearly as laid out
and ordered, with much less participation by the church members during the
service. . The second difference evident between the religions is the partaking of
Communion. In the Catholic Church, Communion is a very sacred act, and the
members are encouraged to receive it frequently. Communion is offered at each
service and is always presided over by the priest. The members believe that they are
consuming the actual body and blood of Christ during Communion, and are required
to fast at least one hour prior to receiving it out of respect. Communion is believed to
be the most important of the seven sacraments by the church and required to obtain
salvation. On the other hand, Baptists rarely partake of Communion, and is usually
reserved for special occasions like Easter and Christmas. Some Baptist churches may
partake every few months or quarterly. Although, the pastor of the church normally
presides over Communion, any member designated by the church can do so. Baptist
religion does not support the rule of fasting prior to Communion, and believe it to be
a symbolic reverence to Christ. It is not believed that the actual body and blood of
Christ are consumed during Communion. The
Credit Card Debt Should Not Be New For American
Consumers...
Ever since a consumer could purchase goods or services with a plastic card, there
has been complications. Credit cards have a few positives, but the risks heavily
outweigh the good. Americans owe a combined 12 trillion dollars worth of credit
card debt (John Oliver, 2016). The average household in the United Sates owes
around $5,700 (valuepenguin.com). Debtshould not be something new for American
consumers since they already deal with student loan, automobile, and mortgage
debt. Since credit card debt is so prevalent, debt buyers and other loan rewarding
companies have become a mean for paying off debt for some consumers. The
Federal Trade Commission only provides information regarding debt and also
strategies on how to pay off debt. The government only has a few programs that
helps a particular group help combat debt. Many American consumers can only turn
to themselves, debt buyers, and various agencies to help erase the burdens credit
card debt. Consumers use credit cards for numerous reasons. Those reasons are: the
earning of cash back, safety, points and frequent flyer miles, universal acceptance,
and to build credit (Investopedia.com). Credit cards can allow for cancelations a
payment on a service that did not meet the expectations of the consumer, which is
really beneficial. However, consumers own a few too many credit cards that all have
different interest rates. The reason credit debt is so astronomical, is because
consumers are paying the required minimum payment

Benefit Of Education Essay.pdf

  • 1. Benefit Of Education Essay Writing an essay on the topic of the benefits of education can be both challenging and rewarding. On one hand, education is a broad and multifaceted subject that encompasses various aspects such as its societal, economic, and personal impacts. This breadth offers a wealth of material to explore and discuss, from the historical evolution of education systems to its modern- day relevance in shaping individuals and societies. However, this very breadth can also pose a challenge in terms of narrowing down the focus and crafting a coherent and compelling argument. With such a vast topic, it's crucial to strike a balance between depth and breadth, ensuring that the essay remains focused while also providing sufficient context and analysis. Moreover, discussing the benefits of education requires a nuanced approach that acknowledges both its tangible outcomes, such as increased earning potential and job opportunities, as well as its intangible benefits, such as personal growth, critical thinking skills, and societal advancement. Balancing these different dimensions while maintaining a clear thesis statement can be demanding. Furthermore, the topic of education is one that elicits passionate opinions and diverse perspectives, making it important to navigate potential biases and present a well-rounded argument supported by evidence and research. In conclusion, while writing an essay on the benefits of education can be challenging due to its broad scope and the need for nuanced analysis, it also offers an opportunity to delve into a topic of great significance and explore its multifaceted impacts. At this stage in the Army as a Staff Sergeant, I continually fulfill duty positions that are above and beyond my pay grade in both garrison and deployed environments, yet still remain competent on the tenets of my career field. This is best exemplified in my recent deployment with 1st Special Forces Group in support of Operation Inherent Resolve. As a Staff Sergeant, I served as the CJSOTF I Task Force Counterintelligence Coordinating Authority, which is doctrinally a CW3 billet. I laid the foundation for future SOCCENT Counterintelligence Operations in Iraq by creating Annex B to the CJSOTF I Umbrella Concept, conducted liaison activities with CENTCOM Counterintelligence units in order to establish proper Counterintelligence Investigation and Intelligencereporting structure, advised Coalition Partners on Identity Intelligence Operations, as well as providing Counterintelligence Force Protection updates. In addition, I established the Tactical Counterintelligence Operations Portal, which allows all Counterintelligence Agents the ability to share Force Protection information across Iraq, regardless of task organization. While many of these tasks are considered management or oversight in nature, I still found time to conduct tactical Counterintelligence through Counterintelligence Screenings of Local Nationals, Preliminary Credibility Assessment Screening Systems interviews, and

Spirits are often called hard liquor or simply liquor . The distillation process of spirits excludes the diluting water component results in increasing the alcohol content in the drinks. Unlike, beer and wine, distilled spirits contain no added sugar and their ABV content is ~20%. Distilled spirits are the types of alcoholic beverages where the concentration of ethyl alcohol has been increased over and above that of the original fermented mixture. • 4. Gps Limitations And Limitations Of Gps . GPS Limitations Although already widely accepted and deployed, GPS has its inherent drawbacks and limits which make GPS unsuitable in many scenarios. Those limitations include: Economics: The price and energy cost of GPS components is usually much higher than its alternatives. Though some GPS systems are inexpensive, cheap solutions may have significantly reduced quality. And it is usually very energy consuming. For instance, GPS on smart phones consumes much large portion of energy than other integrated sensing and communicating components. Even with the high cost, GPS on consumer devices cannot provide desired performance. Accuracy: The accuracy of GPS is usually not enough when small scale of space and fine grained location discrimination are considered, especially on nonprofessional devices with poor quality. • 5. Self Reliance Is Beneficial Or Beneficial An issue regarding thinking has been on the importance of self reliance, the notion of relying on oneself for ideas and knowledge. Some people argue that self reliance is harmful. From this perspective, self reliance generates bad thoughts and ideas, and people should conform to society instead. However, others argue that self reliance is extremely important for society. Ralph Waldo Emerson, a main proponent of this view, says that To believe your own thought, to believe that what is true for you in your private heart is true for all men that is genius (1). According to this view, relying on one s own ideas is genius, and it is much smarter to practice self reliance rather than conform to society s ideas. In sum, then, the issue is whether self reliance is beneficial or not beneficial. My view is that self reliance is beneficial. Though I concede that at times it may be a good ideato agree with the majority, I still maintain that one s own ideas are much better than those of the majority almost all of the time. Although some people think that the majority opinion is usually correct, I claim that the notion of self reliance is beneficial because individuals should rely on their own knowledge gained from life experience to create new and better ideas, which cause society to move forward and become better than it was before. Self reliance is beneficial because individuals create ideas that are better compared to those of the majority. Emerson explains the importance of

  • 11. Comparison Between Female And Female Literature Analytical Comparison of Male and Female Literature in 17th and 18th Century Britain Suppression of thought and action has always been a method to govern over one people over another. When we think of suppression we typically think of slavery; the physical governance of one group over another. However, throughout history, other forms of suppression have dominated cultures, such as that of inequality. An example of this in today s world would be the job market for women. Though it has been undoubtedly improved through the years, a man with equal credentials to that of a womantend to obtain jobs much more easily. This is a form of suppression through inequality by men upon women. If a woman cannot obtain a high paying job equal or better to that of a man, then they may indeed need to be dependent on a man for financial means. Britain women during the beginning years of the Enlightenment period, experienced suppression of their education. Literature of the 17th and 18th centuries in Britain was characterized by raillery of both men towards women and (most often) women towards men fighting the educational suppression and inequality in the midst of the birth of modern feminism. Feminism, like all other major movements (such as the civil rights movement of the 1960s) had its birth somewhere. The true birth of feminism began with women authors such as Mary Astell, Margaret Cavendish, Aphra Behn, and Mary Leapor (Sherman 2125). For one to understand why this movement began, one

Enlightenment notions of freedom and choice inspired women to examine their position from a theoretical perspective for the first time. Over time, women continued to theorize about their unique position, created as a product of their gender, and used that theory to develop feminist politics. The purpose of feminist theory is to understand the identity of women as an oppressed group and examine the ways in which this identity is maintained and can be changed. It includes a re examination of established norms in society and the multiple forms of oppression that women face. The ultimate effect of creating such a theory is a mode of politics that improves the status of women. The downside to the large amount of natural resources was that the machines used were very wasteful (Rosenberg, 109). They also realized that there was a lot of available farmland which they can build the use of manufacturing innovations. For example, steel plough which is a cultivator which replaced the hand handling in the fields. The last reason of American manufacturing was the produced by specialized machines. The woodworking machines is something the Americans have taken from the europeans which they liked because it required less labour (Rosenberg, 105). The downside of this technological was that it would waste their natural resources like wood. Desecration Of The United States Flag It should be considered safer to allow a few protestors to burn or disrespect the flag, than to allow the government to repress our birth rights by banning desecration of the flag. Deemed offensive by many citizens, and a form of symbolic speech by others, the constitutionality of flag desecration has been in question since the late 1800s. Desecration of the United Statesflag is constitutional, as a form of symbolic speech and protected under the First Amendment, even though many citizens do find it offensive. The flag has been a symbol for the United States for decades. On June 14, 1777 the first flag was officially commissioned by the Continental Congress (U.S. Flag, 2005, para. 3). The flag is a trademark for the freedoms embraced by the citizens of the United States, and is a beacon of hope for those fighting to keep those freedoms. The flag is greatly respected by the citizens of the United States. There are multitudinous people who use the flag as a form of protest in ways such as ripping it, burning it, or trampling on it. These acts are forms of desecration of the flag. Desecration is the use of something considered sacred in a profane way. Every American is entitled to an opinion and has the freedom the express these opinions. The flag is a symbol of freedoms, stated and protected in the Constitution of the United States. There are several supporting facts within the story that hint or foreshadow that she did not die in the tragic incident. The first reason why I believe she is still alive is because Percy had a nightmare about her when he got back to the camp. In the past novels, whenever Percy had a nightmare, it was usually a vision of future events that were set to happen. One can infer that because Percy dreamed about his fellow accomplice, Annabeth, that she must be alive. This shows connections within the stories, and how the author used these visions as a chance for the reader to foreshadow something that would occur later in the story. Additionally, in the story, several things that Chiron said might have hinted at the fact that Annabeth could still be alive. Chiron had practically raised her all the years she had been a year round camper, and knew how capable she was of survival. He said, She s very bright. If... if

The purpose of the assignment was to interview another person and record it, then later analyze how well you used interview techniques. The interview was to last fifteen minutes and discuss why your interviewee had decided to choose a career in the health field. General Aspects of an Interview Overall, the interview was accomplished with few complications. There was definitely areas of the interview that need attending to, and there were areas in which I excelled. The dyadic interview started with an opening statement. I attempted to make Person A feel comfortable by asking a simple question of How are you today? I believe I made Person A feel as comfortable as possible in front of a camera and build a rapport. I could have asked one or two more easy questions to lighten the mood. I was nervous being in front of a camera especially for an assignment worth a large portion of my grade. When I m nervous I sometimes bite my lip and unfortunately throughout the interview I chewed my lip. This could have made Person A feel awkward if she took it in uncomfortable way. The listening aspect of the interview I believe I did very well in. I gave attention to what Person A was saying and tried to ask questions that allowed her to elaborate, although there were a few instances that I missed the opportunity. I also tried to write some notes down
  • 31. Syndactyly Essay Type II syndactyly or synpolydactyly(SPD) is a semi dominant inherited limb malformation that involves a fusion of digits. It is caused by mutations in HOXD13 on chromosome 2 due to polyalanine repeat expansions. Polyalanine repeats in SPD are mitotically and meiotically stable, causing polymorphisms to be rare, unlike other nucleotide repeat expansions such as Friedreich s ataxia. HOXD13 is a member of the HOX family, a family of transcription factors that are proteins which contain homeodomain that are important for controlling cell fate along the limb axes and body. HOXD13 is a part of the HOXD genecluster and crucial for limb development, particularly during the early and late stages of limb development. The stage occurs during the creation of the limb buds at week 4, during this stage the limbs have AP polarity through the expression of sonic hedgehog(shh) signaling from the zone of polarizing... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The second stage occurs during the outward growth of the distal limb regions which depends greatly on sonic hedgehog expression at week 6 day 52 is when hand is fully formed. In both stages HOXD genes are critical since they are involved in initiation of shh expression during the earlier stage and mediation of shh signaling from within the limbs during the second stage. The resulting phenotype of HOXD13 mutants display limb malformations. There is much fewer missense and nonsense mutations in HOXD13 and the most common mutation is the addition of 7 14 in the N terminal polyalanine repeats of the HOXD13 gene. When the gene is abnormal from the polyalanine repeat mutation, it produces an abnormal protein which destabilizes the normal protein confirmation, causing aggregation. Once this occurs, it halts the protein translocation which occurs from the cytoplasm to the nucleus where it acts as a transcription factor. Additionally, the size of the polyalanine repeats directly correlates with the severity of

Paton and Great Britain also shared the same views on civilization as the French, but with more of a religious point of view. Missionaries were sent to spread Christianity, as Paton explains, The islands of this group on which life and property are now comparatively safe, the 8,000 professed Christians on the group, and all the churches formed from among them are, by God s blessing, the fruits of the labors of British missionaries, who, at great toil, expense, and loss of life have translated, got printed, and taught the natives to read the Bible in part or in whole in nine different languages of this group (Paton 2). Harriet Beecher Stowe (1811 1896) was the most popular American writer of the 19th century. Her use of literary realism merges with the writings of Howells, Twain, and Crane (Reuben). Harriet Beecher Stowe s writings were influenced by her religious and moral beliefs. She left a long lasting impact on the American Renaissance time period due to her puritan style of writing. Stowe was born in Litchfield, Connecticut in 1811. Her mother, Roxana Foote Beecher, was a well educated and artistic granddaughter of a Revolutionary War general, and Lyman Beecher, a Presbyterian minister with a strong interest in Puritan theology. Stowe grew up in a household in which religion, reading and writing were considered a major part of childhood. After the Stowes moved to Brunswick, in 1850, Harriet considered writing about slavery. The passage of the Fugitive Slave Law of 1850, that made all citizens responsible for upholding the idea of slavery, turned her into an activist.
